Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu Faktor penggunaan varitas (V) terdiri dari 3 level yaitu V1Varietas New Dragon,V2 Varietas Punggawa danV3 Varietas Baginda dan Faktor interval pemberian pupuk Grow More (G) terdiri dari 3 level yaitu G15 hari sekali (2 cc/ liter air),G210 hari sekali (2 cc/liter air) dan G315 hari sekali (2 cc/liter air). Dari hasil analisa secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa uji perbandingan varietas berbeda nyata terhadap parameterdiameter buah per tanaman parameter tebal kulit buah menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata, tetapi tidak berbeda nyata terhadap parameter panjang tanaman, jumlah cabang tanaman, berat buah pertanaman sampel, berat buah per plot,tebal daging buah pertanaman, jumlah buah pertanaman dan jumlah buah per plot. Dari hasil analisa secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan intervalwaktu pemberian pupuk daun Grow More berbeda nyata terhadap parameter panjang tanaman pada semua umur pengamatan, berat buah per tanaman sampel dan berat buah per plot. Dari hasil analisa secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara kedua perlakuan tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter panjang tanaman, jumlah cabang tanaman, berat buah per tanaman sampel, berat buah per plot, diameter buah per tanaman, tebal kulit buah per tanaman, bebal daging buah pertanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman dan jumlah buah per plot, tetapi pada parameter jumlah cabang pada umur  2, 3 dan 4 mst dan tebal kulit buah per tanaman. Kata Kunci : Semangka, varietas, pupuk daun grow more

Abstract

Entomopathogenic fungi are bioinsecticides used to control insect pests. Entomopathogenic fungi can found in the rhizosphere area of plants. This study aims to determine the germination, sporulation, and colonization of Metarhizium spp that are found in the various horticultural plants' rhizosphere of Padangsidimpuan. Metarhizium spp used were MetCP, MetKP, MetMP, MetKPP, MetSP, MetJP, MetTP. This research conducted in the Agrotechnology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhmmadiyah Tapanuli Selatan. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD). The results showed that the highest germination rate at 6 hours after inoculation (HAI) founded in MetKPP of 31.05%. MetKPP also had the highest germination rate of 37.43% on 24 HAI. The highest diameter growth founded in MetKP, which was 5.50 cm at 14 HAI. The highest conidia density was 1,821 x 106 conidia/ml, found in MetMP, significantly different from MetCP, which had the lowest conidia density that was 1.169 x 106 conidia/ml.

Abstract

Entomopathogenic fungi often used as bioinsecticides to control pest insects. Entomopathogenic fungi infect through penetrating cuticles of insect or inedible. Entomopathogenic fungi can be found in the rhizosphere. The purpose of this study was to explore the types of entomopathogenic fungi in various rhizosphere of horticultural plants in Padangsidimpuan. This research was conducted at the Agrotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, South Tapanuli Muhammadiyah University. The results showed that the use of Tenebrio molitor as bait, can effectively obtain entomopathogenic fungi from the soil. The highest mortality of Tenebrio molitor where infected by entomopathogenic fungi was 64% on soybean plant and the lowest mortality due to infection of entomopathogenic fungi was 11% on mustard plants. There was only one genus of entomopathogenic fungi found in this study was Metarhizium sp. Keywords: soil, Metarhizium, Tenebrio molitor, infect, moist chamber

Abstract

Mushrooms are organisms that do not have chlorophyll so that mushrooms cannot carry out photosynthesis. One type of mushroom that is commonly cultivated and consumed is the oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). Oyster mushroom is a wood fungus that belongs to the Basidiomycetes class. Oyster mushrooms grow wild attached to weathered wood in the wild, by utilizing cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin as carbon sources to build cell mass. The purpose of this study was to study the growth and production of oysters (Pleurotus ostreatus) against variations in the number of seeds. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with six replications. The treatment in this study was the difference in the number of mushroom seeds planted in each baglog, namely 5, 8, 11 and 14 seeds. The data obtained were analyzed with variance and further tested with the DMRT test at the 5% level. Based on the research, it was found that the number of oyster mushroom seeds planted in baglog affects the growth of mycelium, the fresh weight of the first harvest and the harvesting age. The more oyster mushroom seeds planted in baglog, the wider the growth ofmycelium, the heavier the fresh weight of the first harvest and the faster the harvesting age.
