Abstract

Background: Hospitals are required to provide good services matching with the given standards. People who received health services were faced with the risk of nosocomial infection. The incidence of infection was recorded in various countries nosocomial around 3.3%-9.2%. Hand hygiene was the most important thing to prevent the spread of infection. The purpose of this study was to determine nurse’s compliance with hand hygiene in effort of preventing efforts nosocomial in Ward Dahlia of RSUD Wonosari Yogyakarta. Method: This study was a qualitative descriptive study. The research subject was as many as 15 nurses with a total sampling, where as the interview with the head of the ward, nurses and other control and prevention of infection used purposive sampling. Collecting data was done by sheet checklist, interview and documents. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman. Results: The nurses in performing hand hygiene SOP have been appropriate but some not with the percentage of 80%. Nurse’s compliance in hand hygiene compliance based on five principles moment it was found that nurses in carrying out the moment 1 was by 66.7% and the moment 2 was 73.4%, the percentage was categorized as minimal compliance. Conclusion: Standard operating procedure of hand hygiene and infrastructure was well, the process of implementation of hand hygiene nurses have not all met the standards. Nurses mostly ignored the moment 1 and 2, the moment 3, 4 and 5 were in the category of good compliance. Monitoring and evaluation has been done.

Abstract

Nowadays, 60% adolescents in Indonesia admitted that had practiced premarital sexbehavior and 50% of people living with HIV and AIDS are adolescent age group. Thenegative consequences of sex behavior which causes an Indonesian adolescent disruptedopportunities continue study at school, enter the work force, starting become a familyand become a member of society as well. Premarital intercourse makes unintendedpregnancy rates still high. Based on data obtained from the Pekanbaru City HIV-AIDSManagement Commission (KPA) in April 2017, it was found that HIV-AIDS caseshave always increased from year to year. The purpose of this study was to determinethe correlation between predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors with premaritalsex behavior in adolescents. The design was cross sectional study. This study was conductedAugust 2017 with multistage random cluster sampling and with 481 adolescentrespondents in 18 SMA in Yogyakarta City, which were analyzed using Chi Square test.There were a relationship of knowledge (p = 0.000, RP = 3.893), attitude (p = 0.000, RP= 7.240), self-esteem (p = 0.000, RP = 3.502), source of information (p = 0.003) and peerroles (p = 0.000, RP = 11.660) with premarital sex behavior. Meanwhile, there were norelation of family role (p = 0.436, RP = 0.823) and teacher role (p = 0.053 RP = 1.596)with premarital sex behavior. Knowledge, attitudes, self-esteem, information source andthe role of peers are related to premarital sex behavior. The role of the family and the roleof the teacher are not related to premarital sex in adolescents.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari fase anak-anak menuju dewasa. Dalam ?fase ini, remaja memiliki permasalahan yang kompleks. Remaja sangat gampang terpengaruh dengan lingkungan, sehingga harapannya mahasiswa bisa beradaptasi dengan perkembangan dan perubahan yang ada. Perlu perhatian khusus bagi remaja yang berada difase ini. Oleh karena itu, perlunya informasi yang benar dan tepat yang bersumber dari mereka sendiri. Tujuan: Kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran melalui PIK R yaitu tentang kesehatan reproduksi remaja. Metode: Dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan 3 tahapan yaitu pra pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan dan pasca pelaksanaan dan pengabdian ini berlangsung 2 hari. Hasil: Penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan dan sikap sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan PIK M dan terdapat perbedaan perilaku sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan PIK M

Abstract

Stroke is one of the cause of death and major neurological disability in Indonesia. The risk of stroke increases with the number of risk factors. Stroke is the main cause of inpatient death at Panembahan Senopati General Hospital in Bantul. The independent variables in this study were hypertension and diabetes mellitus. This study aim to determine the relationship of hypertension and diabetes mellitus to the incidence of stroke. The study was conducted in 2016 and was an observational analytic study with cross sectional design. The number of respondents were 256 samples, where samples were taken by simple random sampling. The research instrument is observation sheet of medical records. Analysis of data was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. Bivariate analysis showed significant correlation statistically and biologically between hypertension (RP = 9.000 ; CI = 4.866-16.645 ; p value = 0.000) and diabetes mellitus (RP = 4.226 ; CI = 3.089-5.780 ; p value = 0.000) with the incidence of stroke. Efforts to increase health promotion program to improve community awareness regarding the incidence of stroke are suggested to improve the quality of life of stroke patients.

Abstract

Background : Occurence of Soil Transmitted Helminths infection in Indonesia still very high. That wormy number at elementary school student are 60-80%. Soil Transmitted Helminths infection is a health problem in tropical and subtropical regions. The number of patients infected with more than one species of intestinal worms such as Ascaris, Trichuris and hookworm. In the tropics, the soil moist and protected from sunlight is a good condition to continue the transmission of Ascaris continuously. Clay is a good place for development and remain infective Ascaris eggs around the puddle of water because of drought escape. When exposed to rain, water mixed with soil to spread to vegetables or fruits are eaten or later come flying through the air and will contaminate the environment. In areas with poor sanitation conditions and dense population prevalence will increase. Her case is more frequent in children mainly aged 5-9 years compared with adults. Another contributing factor is the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of healthy people against infections Soil Transmitted Helminths. This study to investigate the correltion between the behavior with the Soil Transmitted Helminths infection in children of primary school. Method : It is an analytic and observational study with cross sectional design. The data is collected using faecal survey is using Kato Katz method and interview is using questionnaire the 33 respondents. Result : The result of the study showed that there is not any significant correlation between behavior and the Soil Transmitted Helminths infection (p=0,616) of the elemntary school children in MI Asas Islam Kalibening, Tingkir Of Salatiga District. Conclusion : There is statistically not any significant correlation between behavior and the soil transmitted Helminths infection. Keywords : Soil Transmitted Helminths, behavior.

Abstract

AbstractBackground: Nosocomial infections are infections that are acquired from hospital that when the patient is in the process of care after ± 72 hours. In order to minimize cases of nosocomial infection need control from hospital. Control of nosocomial infections in hospitals include prevention and control activities. To reduce the occurrence of nosocomial infections need to take measures eliminate disease-causing germs from the source of infection, preventing the bacteria reach the patient and keep vulnerable patients. The most important factor is hygiene and personal hygiene as well as hospitals, one of which is to perform decontamination and sterilization treatment rooms. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of ozone sterilization of the air germ reduction in inpatient in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul.Methods: This study used design of experiments (one group pre and post test design),with a number of research subjects, namely air germs in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul. Data were analyzed used paired samplet-test.Result: no effect between ozone sterilization to decrease number of bacteriain the airspace at the inpatient unit in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul with p value 0,051 (CI 95% = 0,101-32,545). Conclusion:there is no effect between ozone sterilization to decrease number of bacteriain the air space at the inpatient unit in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul 2014. Keywords: ozone sterilizer, air germ rate, inpatient unit  AbstrakLatarbelakang: Infeksi nosokomial adalah infeksi  yang diperoleh dari rumah sakit yaitu infeksi yang didapat ketika pasien sedang dalam proses perawatan setelah ± 72 jam. Untuk meminimal kasus infeksi nosokomial perlu dilakukan pengendalian. Pengendalian infeksi nosokomial di rumah sakit meliputi kegiatan pencegahan dan penanggulangan. Untuk mengurangi terjadinya infeksi nosokomial perlu dilakukan langkah-langkah menghilangkan kuman penyebab penyakit dari sumber infeksi, mencegah kuman tersebut mencapai penderita dan menjauhkan penderita yang rentan. Faktor yang paling penting adalah higiene dan kebersihan perorangan maupun rumah sakit, salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan dekontaminasi dan sterilisasi ruang perawatan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sterilisasi ozon terhadap penurunan angka kuman udara di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Umum PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul.Metode: Penelitian ini dengan menggunakan eksperimen dengan rancangan Ulang (one group pre and post test design), dengan subjek penelitian yaitu angka kuman udara di ruang rawat inap RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik yaitu paired sample t-test.Hasil: tidak ada pengaruh antara sterilisasi ozon terhadap penurunan angka kuman udara di ruang rawat inap di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul dengan pvalue 0,051 (CI 95% = 0,101-32,545). .Kesimpulan: tidak ada pengaruh antara sterilisasi ozon terhadap penurunan angka kuman udara di ruang rawat inap di RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul 2014. Kata Kunci: sterilisasi ozon, angka kuman udara, ruang rawat inap

Abstract

HIV/AIDS is a disease that continues to grow and become a global problem that is sweeping the world. At the end of 2016, it was estimated that 36.7 million people in the world were living with HIV, as many as 1.8 million people were newly infected with HIV. Yogyakarta ranks 14th in the number of HIV/AIDS from 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2015, with 531 HIV cases and 91 AIDS cases. The high cases in some areas can be caused by low knowledge. Based on data analysis activities carried out in the Dusun Kedungpoh Lor, it was found that the people in the Dukuh Kedungpoh Lor had low knowledge of the problem of HIV/AIDS, as many as 72.83% of the people who had low knowledge of HIV/AIDS. Intervention activities carried out using extension methods with the aim of increasing public knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention and control. This counseling was carried out on February 24, 2019 at the hall in Dusun Kedungpoh Lor with 31 participants. This counseling went smoothly seen in the enthusiasm of residents when attending discussions and questions and answers. The results that there was an increase in knowledge about HIV prevention and control after counseling.

Abstract

Prevalensi balita pendek di DIY pada tahun 2017 sebesar 13,86% turun menjadi 12,37% pada tahun 2018. Prevalensi balita pendek tertinggi adalah Kabupaten Gunungkidul yaitu sebesar 18,47%. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian tersebut adalah pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) yang tidak tepat dan penyapihan terlalu dini, sehingga pemberian edukasi bagi ibu mengenai ASI dan MPASI menjadi hal pokok untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam mempraktikkan pemberian ASI dan MPASI bagi bayi dan balita. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktik secara langsung mengenai pemberian ASI dan MPASI, dengan sasaran adalah ibu yang memiliki balita di pedukuhan Dayakan. Hasil kegiatan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah ibu balita memiliki pengetahuan yang baik mengenai ASI dan MPASI sesuai dengan usia balitanya setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan praktik, kegiatan ini berjalan dengan lancar dibuktikan dengan para ibu mendiskusikan dan menjawab pertanyaan yang diutarakan selama pemberian edukasi ini.

Abstract

Violence can adversely affect teenagers. Teenagers rarely report violence to their friends or family. Teens who are experienced with violent outbreaks have symptoms such as depression and anxiety, deviant behaviours such as smoking, drugs and alcohol and even attempted suicide. This Study used a cross-sectional design. The sample of the study were student aged 15-19 years who came from 18 Junior High School in Yogyakarta City. The study was conducted during August 2017. Sample size is 481 adolescents. Technique sampling used multistage random cluster sampling. The instrument used questionnaires on violence, knowledge, attitudes, self-confidence, family roles, peer roles, teacher roles and information sources. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis used chi square test. Results showed that 77.5% of adolescents were violent and 68.4% were physically abused. Peers are a risk factor for adolescents to engage in violence (PR: 1.335; CI 95%:1.205-1.479) and families also play an important role for adolescents engaged in violence (PR: 1.179; CI 95%: 1.079-1.292). The existence of teen counseling services such as Youth Information and Counseling Center to increase adolescent insight about juvenile delinquency especially violence and impact on adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Indrayanti beach located at Gunungkidul district, Yogyakarta. The number of tourists visited this beach has increased each year, meaning that it increases the health risks for the tourist and people involved, such as infectious diseases, blisters, lost, injured by objects or marine animals, sea water irritation. However, according to the previous study, a traveler who is accessing the Tourism Health Centre is low. This research aimed to identify the relationship between knowledge and attitude of the travelers in Indrayanti Beach to the traveler’s access to the Tourism Health Centre.Method: Quantitative analytical approach with a cross-sectional study design was applied in this study. Of 106 travelers was participate in this study that was recruited through accidental sampling. A tested questionnaire contained knowledge, and attitude was asked to the Indrayanti visitor. A Chi-square test was used to analyze the result.Results: There is a significant association between knowledge level (p=0.027) and attitude (p = 0.000) to the willingness to access the Tourism Health Centre. Conclusion: Knowledge and attitude are the primary aspects of the willingness to access the Tourism Health Centre.
