Abstract

Adversity quotient menjadi daya juang dalam menunjukkan seberapa jauh individu akan berusaha untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan literasi matematis siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA konten change and relationship ditinjau dari AQ. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang melibatkan satu subjek untuk masing-masing tipe kepribadian climber, camper, dan quitter. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode tes dan diuji kevalidannya melalui triangulasi metode dengan metode wawancara. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menyimpulkam berdasarkan indikator literasi matematis yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi matematis siswa selaras dengan tipe kepribadiannya, semakin siswa tidak mudah putus asa maka siswa cenderung mempunyai literasi matematis yang baik. Setiap subjek mampu merumuskan situasi secara matematis dan menggunakan konsep matematika. Akan tetapi, hanya subjek climber yang mampu menafsirkan solusi secara matematis secara konsisten sedangkan subjek camper hanya mampu bernalar namun tidak dapat menarik kesimpulan dengan benar dan subjek quiter tidak dapat menunjukkan proses penalaran yang logis ataupun menghasilkan kesimpulan yang benar. Hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyarankan agar siswa ataupun pengajar dapat menumbuhkan keuletan dan pantang menyerah dalam menyelesaikan masalah.

Abstract

Abstrak Penting bagi siswa memiliki disposisi berpikir kritis, namun kenyataannya disposisi berpikir kritis siswa masih sangat rendah khususnya pada komponen analyticity. . Namun pada kenyataannya, belum ada perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan analyticity siswa. Penelitian ini digolongkan sebagai penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Observasi, tes dan angket adalah teknik pengumpulan data. Adapun subjek uji coba adalah kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Rogojampi sebanyak 29 siswa. Data kevalidan diperoleh dari hasil validasi buku petunjuk penggunaan, modul ajar, LKPD dan soal tes dengan menganalisis skor dari validator, yakni berturut-turut adalah 3,73; 3,91; 3,88 dan 3,79. Hasil analisis dari observasi keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran digunakan untuk data kepraktisan, dengan cara merata-rata skor dari seluruh pertemuan, yakni 3,51 yang memasuki kategori tinggi. Data keefektifan diperoleh dari THB, hasil observasi perilaku analyticity dan angket respon siswa yang menunjukkan siswa tuntas secara klaksikal sebesar 86,2%, rata-rata N-Gain siswa adalah tinggi, perilaku analyticity siswa baik dan respon siswa positif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran PBL pada materi aritmatika sosial efektif untuk meningkatkan analyticity siswa.AbstractIt is important for students to have a critical thinking disposition, but in fact students' critical thinking disposition is still very low, especially in the analyticity component. This research is categorized as development research with the aim of developing learning tools for the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with a valid, practical and effective 4D development model. Observations, tests and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The test subjects were class VII A of SMP Negeri 1 Rogojampi with 29 students. Validity data was obtained from the validation results of user manuals, teaching modules, worksheets and test questions by analyzing the scores from the validator, namely 3.73; 3.91; 3.88 and 3.7. The results of observing the application of learning tools are used for practicality data, by means of averaging the scores of all meetings, namely 3.51 which is in the high category. Effectiveness data was obtained from THB, the results of observations of analytic behavior and student response questionnaires showed that students completed classically at 86.2%,  the average N-Gain was high, the students' analytical behavior was good and the response positive students. It can be concluded that PBL learning tools on social arithmetic material are effective for increasing students’analyticity

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa merupakan salah satu masalah yang harus diatasi, khususnya menghadapi Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan pembelajaran abad 21. Salah satu cara meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah melalui pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbasis Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran materi SPLDV menggunakan pendekatan RME berbasis LSLC. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimen, dengan menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Ikhlash Lumajang. Pembelajaran RME berbasis LSLC dikenakan pada 25 siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran konvensional dikenakan pada 25 siswa kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model RME berbasis LSLC mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi SPLDV lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Tingkat berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol terjadi pada tingkat berpikir kritis level 3 (TBK 3) dan level 4 (TBK 4). Pada kedua level tersebut, kelas eksperimen mencapai 40% dan 24%, sedangkan kelas kontrol mencapai 32% dan 20%. Dari hasil ini disarankan kepada guru matematika hendaknya menerapkan pembelajaran RME berbasis LSLC dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasikan soal dalam buku matematika kurikulum 2013 kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama berdasarkan mathematical literacy assessment taxonomy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif, subjek penelitian ini adalah soal uji kompetensi masing-masing pokok bahasan dalam buku matematika kurikulum 2013 kelas VII semester I tahun terbit 2014 edisi revisi yang disusun oleh pakar pendidikan dibawah pengawasan Kementrian Pendidikan dan diterbitkan oleh pusat kurikulum dan perbukuan, Balitbang, Kemendikbud. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi dan metode angket. Pedoman yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar deskriptor masing-masing level mathematical literacy assessment taxonomy. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh 94 soal yang terkategorikan dalam mathematical literacy assessment taxonomy dari 177 soal yang di analisis. Dengan rincian 40,42% soal terkategorikan dalam level knowing, 31,91% soal terkategorikan dalam level applying routine procedures in familiar of contexts, dan 27,65% soal terkategorikan dalam level applying multistep procedures in a variety of context. Abstract

Abstract. Materials to produce fertilizer are NH3 Liquid and CO2 gas. Required CO2 gas should be free from condensation, so CO2 gas is refrigerated in intercooler. In this research, we analyse of mathematic model for heat transfer in fluid with finite volume method. We will review how the CO2 gas cooling process from mathematics model point of view. We will model the equations for CO2 gas cooling process which includes momentum dan energy. After that this model will be discretizatied. For numerical solution, we will use Matlab and Fluent to simulate CO2 gas cooling process. The simulation result using Matlab and Fluent forms will be presented descriptively in charts, tables, and images to show how the distribution process of heat transfer. The result show for error is 0,0087. In conclusion the model accurate for solving heat transfer process in CO2 gas. Key Words : Mathematics Models, Heat transfer, Finite Volume Methode,

Abstract

Abstract. The research purpose is to know the process and result of development of mathematics learning instruments based on contextual teaching and learning by setting of cooperative learning two stay two stray for rectangle and square topic at seventh grade of junior high school. Learning instruments development model refers to 4D Thiagarajan models which has 4 steps namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research has three products namely lesson plan, worksheet, and evaluation test. Based on validation process and tryout, it can be concluded that the learning instruments had fullfiled with validity, practice, and effective criteria. Abstract

Abstrac.: This research aims to determine the percentage of geometry questions for each van Hiele levels in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade, and to determine the percentage of geometry questions for each descriptors in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade based on van Hiele levels. Sources of data in the study include documents geometry questions in the SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade, written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih; and also Atik Wintarti et.al. To analyze the data used descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The result of the data analysis shows that are 1176 questions in the mathematics textbooks SMP written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih; and also written by Atik Wintarti et.al. From the results, the percentage of geometry questions for each van Hiele levels in the mathematics textbook written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih for Visualization, Analysis, Ordering, and Deduction are respectively 9%, 81.31%, 8.47%, and 0%. Then, in the SMP mathematics textbook written by Atik Wintarti et.al, there are 14,88% in the visualization level; 75,42% in the analysis level; 8,36% in the ordering level; and 0% in the deduction level. However, each SMP mathematics textbook for seventh grade are equally dominated by Analysis level. Then, the geometry questions in the mathematics textbook written by Tatag Yuli Eko Siswono and Netti Lastiningsih is dominated by descriptor 4.b and descriptor 9. But, in the SMP mathematics textbook written by Atik Wintarti et.al is dominated by descriptor 2. Key Words : textbook, geometry questions, van Hiele geometric thinking levels

Abstract

Abstract.Cooperative learning by using change of pairs technique is a learning model which gives chancefor thestudentstoask andstrengthentheir answerfor the exercises.This research implementscooperative learning by using change of pairs technique to reduce student’s errorin solving problems of area of trapezoid. The subject of the research is grade VII A students of SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The type of this research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection methods used in this research are observation, documentation, interview, and test. The result shows that the errors are decreasing; misused data decrease from 50% to 0%; distorted theorem or definition decrease from 59,38% to 12,5%; technical errors decrease from 61,25% to 9,34%; and other error decrease from 27,5% to 1,25%. The result also shows that the activity of the students and the teacher in teaching and learning process are increasing. KeyWords:changeofpairs technique, student's error, area of trapezoid

Abstract

An open-ended problem in learning mathematics is a problem with more than one answer or method of solving. In solving open-ended problems in learning mathematics, one of the abilities students must use is decision-making ability. Each student has a variety of capacities, so this study aims to determine students' decision-making abilities in solving open-ended problems in learning mathematics. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were four students with different numbers of correct answers in working on open-ended problems. Data collection was carried out using tests and interviews. The results showed that (1) the decision-making ability of the subject who answers correctly for both problems is complete because they fulfill all indicators, the subject can identify goals, make decisions, evaluate the results of determination, and present and remember between problems with things known to the problem and related to decisions that have been taken correctly; (2) decision-making ability for subjects with wrong answers on one number or two numbers is incomplete because they only fulfilled two indicators, the subject can identify goals, make decisions, is less able to evaluate decision results and present and remember between problems with things known to the problem, and related to decisions that have been taken with correct. Mathematics teachers should often reinforce students to practice operating integers because it is a prerequisite for learning mathematics at the middle and high school levels.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning tools integrated with agricultural activities, fulfilling the criteria of valid, practical, and effective to improve numeracy skills, particularly in the topics of direct and inverse proportionality. This study used the research and development with the Plomp model, comprising three phases. The first phase, preliminary research, involved 26 teachers and prospective teachers. The second phase, development or prototyping, engaged three experts and three students. The third phase, assessment, was conducted through trial testing with 31 participants in the experimental class and 31 participants in the control class. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, surveys, observations, tests, and interviews. Data processing was conducted using descriptive statistics. The results of the study indicate that the developed RME learning tools integrated with agricultural activities fulfills the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. The validity criteria were achieved with scores of 3.77 for the teaching module, 3.81 for the LKPD, 3.84 for the learning achievement test, and 3.87 for the instruction manual. The practicality criteria were met with a learning implementation rate of 95% (very good), and student activity reaching 84.9% (active). Additionally, student and teacher response questionnaires showed positive feedback, with scores of 95.48% and 100%, respectively. The effectiveness criteria were achieved with an average N-Gain score of 0.65 (moderate) and the experimental class achieved higher average scores than the control class. This study implies that RME integrated with agricultural activities can be recommended for mathematics teachers to support numeracy teaching.
