Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of learning to write procedural texts, including the use of models, materials, media, and learning evaluation; and (2) describe student learning outcomes related to the use of these models, materials, media, and evaluations. This research is qualitative with an exploratory study design, involving teachers and seventh-grade students at three junior high schools in Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, document analysis, and literature study, with data analysis through reduction, modeling, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that two learning models are used, namely project-based learning and problem-based learning. Some teaching materials follow textbooks, while others are developed based on local culture. The media used are varied, including visual, audio-visual, and internet-based media. Learning evaluation uses attitudinal, formative, and summative assessments. The use of project-based learning and audio-visual media is more effective in increasing student motivation, creativity, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Developing a Process-Based Learning Module to Enhance Writing Competence in Journalism Education. Learning to write news texts for journalism concentration students still faces obstacles, so it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of modules that can help students master news text writing skills in a more targeted manner. This study aims to develop a news text writing module based on a process approach to improve writing skills in a directed manner. The method used is research and development (R&D), encompassing the stages of needs analysis, module design, expert validation, and student trials. This study involved five experts and 74 students from five universities in Yogyakarta. Based on the assessment results by material expert I, it obtained a score of 4.63 and was categorized as very good; material expert II obtained a score of 3.97 and was categorized as good. Furthermore, the assessment by graphic experts yielded a score of 4.12 (good), by linguistic experts a score of 4.08 (good), and by learning strategy experts a score of 4.6 (very good). The effectiveness test yielded a p-value of 0.000, indicating that the module is effective in improving the students’ ability to write news texts. The novelty of this research lies in integrating the process approach with the typical journalistic language guide in the form of a systematic module, which has not been developed specifically for journalism concentration students. Therefore, the use of news text writing modules based on a process approach is suitable as teaching material because it guides students through every stage of writing, from drafting to editing, provides linguistic support across a variety of journalism, and has a positive impact on writing skills and learning effectiveness. Keywords: learning modules, writing competence, news text, process approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the value of character education that is transformed by YouTuber MAS in the process of teaching, caring, and caring for the employer's children which is broadcast on the YouTube channel. The formulation of the problem addressed is what character education values are transformed by Markhatin Solikha to his foster children GNV. The research method is a content analysis method that specifically analyzes communication events (CA). The focus of this research analysis is the communication events contained in the video- Markhatin MAS videos on his YouTube channel. The type of data is in the form of conversations or dialogues between caregivers and their foster children which are transcribed in the form of data cards. The unit of analysis is sentences, phrases and/or clauses as well as spoken words and behavior in the video that contain character education values. The main instrument is researchers who focus on observation activities in the form of observing notes. The conclusion of the research results found is the values of character education found are the values of honesty, religion, tolerance, responsibility, independence, creativity.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop reading material teaching based on text with a content language integrated learning approach for students of PBSI FBS UNY. Development design followed the design model developed by Willis, known as the R2D2 model (1995), with steps (1) defining 2) planning and development, 3) dissemination. Products whose developed are text-based reading teaching materials with the CLIL approach. The products have been assessed by peers, reading learning experts, and lecturers of reading comprehension courses. There are five types of texts developed into teaching materials, namely; 1) description text, exposition text, argumentation text, editorial text, and research proposal text. Each text is used as a learning unit. Each learning unit was divided into; 1) learning objectives, 20 teaching materials, 3) texts, and 4) evaluation of learning. The assessment instrument used the teaching material assessment rubric with 4 components, scaled 1-4. The four assessment components; 1) content eligibility with a mean value of 23.00 or with a very good category, 2) language with a mean value of 14.00 or good category, 3) presentation with a mean of 19.30 or in a very good category while the component, 4) the design gets a mean value of 14.60 or good category. Overall, research development on instructional materials is at an average rate of 17.72 or a good category.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar membaca pemahaman berbasis teks dengan pendekatan content language integrited learning untuk mahasiswa PBSI FBS UNY. Desain pengembangan mengikuti model desain yang dikembangkan oleh Willis yang lebih dikenal dengan model R2D2 (1995,) dengan langkah (1) pendefinisian 2) perencanaan dan pengembangan, 3) penyebarluasan. Produk temuan hasil pengembangan adalah bahan ajar membaca berbasis teks dengan pendekatan CLIL. Produk telah dinilai oleh teman sejawat, pakar pembelajaran membaca, dan dosen-dosen mata kuliah membaca pemahaman. Jenis teks yang dikembangkan menjadi bahan ajar ada lima, yaitu; 1) teks deskripsi, teks ekposisi, teks argumentasi, teks editorial, dan teks proposal penelitian. Masing-masing teks dijadikan unit pembelajaran. Tiap unit pembelajaran terbagi atas ; 1) tujuan pembelajaran, 20 materi ajar, 3) teks yang dibaca, dan 4) evaluasi pembelajaran. Instrumen penilaian menggunakan rubrik penilaian bahan ajar dengan 4 komponen yakni berskala 1-4. Keempat komponen penilaian meliputi; 1) kelayakan isi dengan rerata nilai 23.00 atau dengan kategori sangat baik , 2) kebahasaan dengan rerata nilai 14.00 dan terkategori baik, 3 ) penyajian dengan rerata 19.30 atau berada pada kategori sangat baik, sedangkan komponen , 4) desain mendapatkan rerata nilai 14.60 dengan kategori baik. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian terhadap bahan ajar hasil pengembangan berada pada angka rerata 17,72 atau berada pada kategori baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan  jenis dan fungsi pemakaian kalimat yang   dalam peristiwa komunikasi youtuber keluarga amalgamasi Dewi Pobo. Rumusan masalah yang diajukan adalah " Apa saja jenis dan manfaat kalimat yang terdapat dalam interaksi komunikasi keluarga amalgamasi youtuber Dewi Pobo? Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis  penelitian analisis konten. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik metode simak dengan teknik simak bebas libat catat. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian ditemukan  empat jenis kalimat yang digunakan yakni; kalimat deklaratif, kalimat imperative, kalimat introgatif dan kalimat ekslamatif. Kalimat-kalimat tersebut difungsikan sesuai konteks komunikasi yang terjadi.This study aims to describe the types and functions of the use of sentences in the communication events of the amalgamation family YouTuber Dewi Pobo. The research question posed was "What are the types and benefits of sentences contained in the communication interaction of the amalgamation family of YouTuber Dewi Pobo?" A qualitative research approach with content analysis was used for the research. The data collection method employed the observation technique with the note-free observation technique. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative. The results of the study identified four types of sentences: declarative, imperative, interrogative, and exclamatory.  These sentences function according to the context of the communication that occurs in the amalgamation family.

Abstract

ASI merupakan makanan yang utama bagi bayi karena mengandung nutrisi yang optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. ASI mengandung semua zat gizi yang diperlukan untuk tumbuh kembang anak yang optimal. ASI mengandung taurin suatu bentuk zat putih telur yang hanya terdapat pada ASI. Bayi yang mengalami gangguan tumbuh kembang akan mengalami penyimpangan pertumbuhan dan penyimpangan perkembangan. Wujud dalam pelaksanaan tridarma dalam perguruan tinggi, dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang Sosialisasi pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu hamil dan ibu byang memiliki bayi 0-6 bulan. Harapannya mampu menunjang ketercapaian pemberian ASI Eksklusif dan peningkatan tumbuh kembang pada anak. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orangtua terutama ibu hamil dalam persiapan menyusui dan ibu bayi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dimana sasarannya adalah orangtua atau ibu yang memiliki anak bayi atau balita. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa orangtua mampu mengetahui dan memahami penilaian tahap tumbuh kembang pada anak. Selain itu diharapkan kedepannya orang tua mempunyai kesiapan dan kewaspadaan dalam keberhasilan pemberian ASI Eksklusif.

Abstract

Objective: One of the efforts in realizing quality human resources is the guarantee of health quality. One of the indicators used to measure the quality of health is infant mortality rate (IMR). LBW is one of the main causes of infant mortality, with 40% of all child deaths occurring during the neonatal period. Cumulatively, about 15.5% of all deliveries are LBW and 95.6% occur in developing countries. (Sari 2021). Anemia that occurs during pregnancy is one of the major problems that occur. The impact caused by anemia in pregnant women is a variety of complications for the mother, in the form of pregnancy disorders, especially in the fetus such as Low Birth Weight Infants (LBW), impaired growth of the baby's organs and brain, and malnutrition or malformations in the baby who is born. (Audrey and Candra 2016) Methods: The research method used is observational research. The research design is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional study approach. Results: The sampling technique in this study used Non Probability Sampling, namely Purposive Sampling. The number of samples was 47 babies with LBW during 2021.Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between anemia in pregnancy and the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) in the working area of UPT Puskesmas Lawawoi, Sidrap Regency, obtained a p value = 0.001 ˂ 0.05 (α).

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes can cause potentially dangerous pregnancy complications. Premature rupture of membranes can cause mothers to give birth to babies in preterm conditions. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the characteristics of mothers giving birth to premature rupture of membranes at Nene Mallomo Hospital, Sidrap Regency in 2022. The type of research used in this study was a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. Study. The population in this study were all mothers giving birth at The Nene Mallomo Regional General Hospital, Sidrap Regency, from July to December 2022 has a total of 73 people Sampling technique using total sampling. data collection techniques using primary data. Data analysis used the chi-square statistical test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between age and premature rupture of membranes with a p value of 0.01 <0.005. variable parity with premature rupture of membranes 0.00 <0.005. occupational variable with premature rupture of membranes with a p value of 0.00 <0.005. The conclusion of this study is that the variables age, parity and occupation have a relationship with premature rupture of membranes
