Hoya AL, Yuliastuti N, Sudarno S. 2020. Study of water quality index characteristics using ip, storetic and NSF WQI methods: Review. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang  20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Water is one of the main needs of living things. Everyday human life needs water, starting from drinking water, water recreation, aquaculture, animal husbandry and agriculture. About ¾ of the human body is made up of water. Water is very important, so humans must maintain the availability of water. Water availability needs to be balanced with the maintenance of water quality, so that it can be seen that the water is in good condition or polluted. Clean water needs attention according to SDGs number 6 concerning the availability of clean water and sanitation. The quality of water in water bodies such as rivers, lakes, swamps, reservoirs and others needs to be monitored so that water can be used properly according to its purpose. This study aims to examine the method of calculating the water quality index which is commonly used in determining water status so that the characteristics of the water quality method can be identified and the advantages and disadvantages of this method. The method used is literature study from related journals. The water quality index (IKA) method used in Indonesia includes the IP, Storet and NSF WQI methods. The results of the study will describe the advantages and disadvantages as well as the characteristics of the appropriate method used in accordance with the research needs which are expected to facilitate the selection of water quality monitoring methods.

Sudrajat A, Sudarno S, Luqman Y. 2020. Analysis of scheduled faecal sludge service (SFSS) for sustainable faecal sludge management in Cilacap. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).In accordance with the 6’th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), that ensurin availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all and with the launch of the 100-0-100 movement by Indonesian Government, which is a program to achieve the 100% access for water, 0%  for slums, and 100% access to proper sanitation, Cilacap government need to work harder to achieve 100% access to proper sanitation especially in faecal sludge management that still needs to be improved. More than 98% households in Cilacap are using on-site sanitation system, without periodicaly emptied, and its causing problems in public health, and has impact for environmental and economic nearby communities. This study was held in Cilacap, a municipal in Central Java, Indonesia, using secondary data and literature review. This study aims to analyze feseability of the plan of implementation Scheduled Faecal Sludge Service (SFSS). Based on analysis, Cilacap are feasible to implementing SFSS as long as Cilacap could ensure to repair all gaps that shown in Gap analysis. Data of sludge service areas in cilacap, operating patterns, SFSS implementation procedures, and financial calculations must be made on preparation stage of SFSS.

Abstract

Wulansari A, Sudarno S, Muhammad F. 2020. Analysis of medical solid waste generation at puskesmas in Bantul Regency. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Medical waste generation of puskesmas in Bantul Regency has continued to increase over the past 6 years (2014-2019), however, medical waste management at the puskesmas is still not optimally implemented due to limited availability of resources. The problem has become complex with the Covid 19 pandemic which is predicted will increase the quantity of hazardous waste that comes from medical services. This study aims to analyze medical solid waste generation at puskesmas in Bantul Regency during the Covid 19 pandemic by collecting primary and secondary data at 27 puskesmas. Data analysed using analytic descriptive techniques. The results showed that average generation of solid medical waste at puskesmas in Bantul district was 16.11 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat inap and 8.31 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat jalan. After the Covid 19 pandemic occurred in March 2020 there was an increase in the average generation of medical waste at 35.74 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat inap and 23.21 grams/patient.day for puskesmas rawat jalan. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was no correlation between number of patients and amount of medical waste produced at each puskesmas. However, number of patients correlated with rate of medical waste generation at each puskesmas with a pearson correlation value of -0.621. Strategy that can be taken to optimize medical waste management is carry out internal sterilization of waste before it is transported by a third party and improve the quality of TPS limbah B3 at the health center.

This study began with calculated pollution index in 2017-2019, next step is AHP hierarchy arrangement and the pairwise comparison matrix, then distributed questionnaires to 10 respondents and data was analised using Expert Choice 11 software. Results of analysis use AHP show that the most influential criteria in managing Ciujung River is goverment policy, the most influential management objective was to improve the quality of Ciujung River water, and the most influential goverment policy was law enforcement.
