Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on improving students’ learning outcomes in analyzing argumentative texts. A qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were eleventh-grade students at SMKN 6 Surabaya. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages aimed at continuously improving the learning process. The results indicate that implementing the TPS model significantly increased students’ active participation and learning achievement. In the first cycle, the average student score was 71.2 with a completeness rate of 65.6%. After revising the learning strategy in the second cycle, the average score increased to 81.6 with a completeness rate of 87.5%. The TPS model proved effective in creating a collaborative, interactive, and student-centered learning environment. Through three main stages—think (individual thinking), pair (discussion in pairs), and share (sharing within groups)—students became more actively involved, developed critical thinking skills, and were able to express their opinions openly and effectively. These findings suggest that the TPS model is an effective and viable alternative learning strategy to enhance student engagement, comprehension, and academic performance. Therefore, this study recommends that teachers consistently implement the TPS model to improve the quality of learning processes and student outcomes, particularly in teaching argumentative text analysis.

Abstract

This study investigates cadet performance segmentation during on-board maritime training using clustering analysis of data from the On Training Monitoring (OTMon) system. Grounded in the competency-based education framework and experiential learning theory, the research aims to identify behavioral patterns and competency levels among 80 maritime cadets over a twelve-month sea-based training program. The OTMon application continuously recorded task completion rates, feedback interactions, sign-on consistency, and report submissions. K-Means clustering and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) revealed three distinct cadet profiles: Cluster 1 (high-performing) with average task completion of 92.4% and feedback frequency of 15.2 times/month; Cluster 2 (administratively consistent) with 88.1% completion but only 6.3 feedback interactions/month; and Cluster 3 (at-risk) with 67.5% completion and 3.8 feedback interactions/month. Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) validated the clusters with 98.8% resubstitution accuracy and 97.6% cross-validation accuracy, supported by generalized squared distances above 9.5 between all cluster pairs, indicating strong separation. These findings demonstrate that unsupervised clustering can reliably distinguish high-performing cadets from those needing targeted intervention, enabling data-informed mentoring and adaptive learning strategies in maritime education. The contribution of this study lies in integrating digital monitoring data with both unsupervised and supervised machine learning methods to enhance competency assessment. The novelty is in applying maritime-specific learning analytics for real-time performance segmentation, offering a scalable diagnostic framework for improving supervision quality and supporting individualized cadet development in vocational training contexts.

Abstract

The Venetian Bell Tower, or Campanile de San Marco, served as the main inspiration for designing men’s and women’s evening wear through the application of the surface cording decorative technique. This study aims (1) to describe the application of cording in evening wear inspired by the architectural details of the Campanile, and (2) to examine the design process and final results. The research employed the Double Diamond model consisting of four stages: discover, define, develop, and deliver. In the discover stage, the architectural inspiration was explored, followed by the define stage where ideas were summarized into a moodboard. The develop stage produced two selected designs, one for men and one for women, while the deliver stage focused on garment realization with input from experts. The results show that architectural forms such as strong lines and relief details of the Campanile can be transformed into ornamental fabric design using surface cording. The technique creates raised textures that highlight both aesthetic and functional aspects, enhancing the garment’s visual identity. Overall, the study demonstrates that cording not only enriches fabric texture but also elevates the artistic and conceptual value of evening wear design.

Abstract

This research aims to find out 1) the development of the jlamprang batik motif, 2) the application and placement of pleats on men's shirts with the jlamprang batik motif, and 3) the finished results of the exploration of the jlamprang batik motif using digital printing techniques to apply pleats to men's shirts. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. Data collection is carried out using questionnaires or questionnaires. The instrument scale used is the Likert scale rating. The data analysis technique used is average value. This research resulted in a description of the process of developing the jlamprang batik motif, the application and placement of pleats on men's shirts with jlamprang batik motifs, the result was an exploration of the jlamprang batik motif using digital printing techniques to apply pleats to men's shirts.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini diantaranya adalah: 1)Mengembangkan media video pembelajaran pembuatan celana panjang wanita kelas XI Tata Busana di SMK Negeri 1 Jabon Sidoarjo, 2) Mendeskripsikan kelayakan media video pembelajaran pembuatan celana panjang wanita kelas XI Tata Busana di SMK Negeri 1 Jabon Sidoarjo, 3) Mendeskripsikan respon siswa kelas XI Tata Busana. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Metode Pengumpulan data meliputi: 1)angket pengembangan media, 2)angket penilaian kelayakan media video, dan 3)angket untuk Respon siswa. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Hasil validasi pengembangan media video menndapatkan rerata skor 3,43 kategori sangat valid 2) tingkat kelayakan media video mencapai hasil rata-rata 3,62 yang tergolong kategori sangat valid dan media video dinyatakan layak untuk diujicobakan dan 3) Respon siswa menggunakan media video pembelajaran menjahit celana mendapatkan hasil respon yang positif dari siswa dengan mencapai rata-rata 3,42 yang tergolong kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Kendala yang sering ditemui dalam pembelajaran pengetahuan bahan tekstil adalah siswa kurang tertarik mempelajari berbagai macam bahan tekstil. Permasalahannya adalah guru menggunakan berbagai sumber media pembelajaran yang beragam dan menyenangkan namun belum maksimal, yang menyebabkan siswa bosan dan kesulitan mengerjakan tugas. Penerapan media Prezi bertujuan untuk menambah minat siswa dalam memahami materi pengetahuan bahan tekstil. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Prezi pada pembelajaran pengetahuan bahan tekstil terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. Responden penelitian adalah siswa jurusan tata busana SMKN 1 Jabon dengan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 36 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan media Prezi mengalami peningkatan yang cukup tinggi dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 33,33 dan post-test sebesar 94,66.

Abstract

Lembaga Kursus Pelatihan (LKP) An-Nurfah Jombang merupakan satuan pendidikan non formal yang berperan aktif dalam memberikan layanan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap bagi masyarakat yang bernaung di bawah Direktorat Kursus dan Pelatihan, Dirjen Pendidikan Vokasi, Kemendikbudristek RI, dengan tujuan memberikan pelatihan menjahit untuk menumbuhkan minat berwirausaha serta mengembangkan taraf ekonomi masyarakat Jombang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui hasil pelaksanaan pelatihan menjahit di LKP An-Nurfah Jombang. (2) Mengetahui minat berwirausaha di LKP An-Nurfah Jombang. (3) Mengetahui pengaruh hasil pelatihan terhadap minat berwirausaha. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan responden peserta pelatihan yang berjumlah 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuisioner atau angket. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pelatihan menjahit berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha LKP di An-Nurfah Jombang. Berdasarkan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,717 atau sebesar 71,1%.

Abstract

This research is quantitative and aims to determine the impact of problem-solving skills and student self-efficacy on academic performance across various skill concentrations at SMK Negeri 1 Semen, Kediri Regency. The study focused on the subjects of Accounting (AKL), motorcycle engineering and business (TBSM), automotive light vehicle engineering (TKRO), and computer and network engineering (TKJ). Data collection involved questionnaires for assessing problem-solving skills and self-efficacy, while academic performance was measured through tests. The study included 185 students from all specialization concentrations at SMK Negeri 1 Semen, Kediri Regency. Data analysis utilized t-tests (partial test), f-tests (simultaneous test), and r2-tests or coefficient of determination tests. The research findings indicated that the significance level of the partial test for problem-solving skills was .002 < .050 and for self-efficacy was .003 < .050. The f-test revealed a significance value of .000 < .050. The results suggest that problem solving skills and self-efficacy significantly impact student academic performance across all skill concentrations, both individually and collectively.

Abstract

This study discusses the collaboration between SMK Negeri 2 Donorojo and Astra Michael D Ruslim Education Foundation (YPA MDR) in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The method used is descriptive qualitative, involving researchers as participants who collect data through interviews, observation, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This cooperation is based on legal basis, including the Limited Liability Company Law and the results of coordination meetings with the Pacitan District Education Office. The parties involved include YPA MDR and SMK Negeri 2 Donorojo. The objectives of the cooperation involve improving access and quality of education, community empowerment, creating community involvement, and improving the quality of the workforce. The benefits include improving the company's image, the quality of the company's human resources, and compliance with government regulations. The research concludes that this cooperation has a legal basis, clear objectives, significant benefits, and good governance.

Abstract

Sand mining in the area around Sumber Ringin Village, Sri Gading Village, Jati Dukuh Village and around the coast of the Rantas River is a blessing for the people around Mojokerto City and Regency. Mining activities in this area cannot be separated from the attention of many parties and the community, so researchers want to know how much silt content is in the sand and apply it to the basic competencies of concrete specifications and characteristics. This study aims to determine the knowledge, abilities and learning motivation of students in carrying out the practice of silt content in sand on the learning outcomes of basic competency specifications and characteristics of concrete. including research ex post facto. The research design used path analysis. The prerequisite test used is the homogeneity of the F test and the normality test of the Chi Square distribution. Instrument validation was analyzed using the Rasch Model. The research was conducted in class X Modeling Design and Building Information (DPIB)  for State Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Mojokerto with a total of 100 students. The results of the research: (1) there is an effect of knowledge on learning outcomes, (2) there is an effect of ability on learning outcomes, (3) there is an effect of knowledge on student learning motivation, (4) there is an influence of ability on student learning motivation, (5) there is an effect of student learning motivation on learning outcomes, (6) there is an influence of knowledge on learning outcomes through learning motivation, (7) there is an effect of ability on learning outcomes through learning motivation.
