Abstract

PT. Weiss Tech has received a project order for the fabrication and installation of coffee packaging production machines from PT.XYZ, scheduled to start on June 19, 2023, with a deadline of June 24, 2024, spanning 54 weeks. The project has been ongoing for 16 weeks with an update indicating that only 20% of the planned progress has been achieved, which suggests that it may not be completed on time. To evaluate the project's performance, the EVM  method will be used to identify critical tasks and reduce the project duration using the Precedence Diagram Method with the help of MS Project software. The evaluation shows negative values for CV and SV variances, as well as performance index SPI<1 and CPI<1, indicating poor project performance. The critical tasks identified include electrical & instrument installation, machine & utility installation, trial work, assembly, quality control, polishing, milling, turning, cutting, and design. Design work has been identified as the most influential on the critical path. By rescheduling the project plan, positive values for CV and SV have been achieved. With the SPI value of 1.13 and CPI value of 1, it can be concluded that future project performance will be completed faster and within budget.

Abstract

Along with the increasing need for productivity and the use of high technology in the form of production machines and factories, the need for maintenance functions is also increasing. At PT. Weiss Tech, a packaging machine manufacturer, has problems mainly related to wire cut machine malfunctions which cause interruptions and delays in the production process and reduce machine performance. In overcoming these problems in this study, the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) II method from Failure Modes and Effect Analyze (FMEA) was used. RCM II is one of the methods used to determine which components are due for repairs, while FMEA is defined as a method for identifying the root cause of engine failure. From the results of calculations using FMEA and RCM II, the results of the maintenance interval for the Electromotor component (electric motor) with a maintenance interval of 20 hours, for the Lower and upper nozzle components (upper and lower nozzles) with a maintenance interval of 181 hours, and for the Roller component (drive roller) ) with a treatment interval of 177 hours

Abstract

Machines are the main element in manufacturing companies, and the role of machine performance is vital in the production process. Downtime problems caused by machine damage can significantly affect company productivity. This research implements the support vector machine (SVM) method for predicting Dry 8 production machine line maintenance, which aims to reduce downtime and increase productivity. The SVM method is known for its high accuracy and low error rate. The evaluation process used four kernel functions: linear, radial basis function (RBF), polynomial and sigmoid. The linear kernel function performed best with 99.8% accuracy, 83% precision, recall, and f1-score. These results show that the SVM method can be a viable solution to improve the efficiency of machine maintenance. Keywords: Confusion Matrix, Machine Learning, Predictive Maintenance, Support Vector Machine

Abstract

In the face of fierce global competition, construction industry companies such as PT XYZ require efficient production machinery to increase productivity. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of batching plant machines at PT XYZ using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and identify improvements through Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The batching plant machine often experiences downtime, especially on line five, which hampers production performance. The OEE method was used to measure three main aspects: availability, performance, and quality, with an average OEE result of 91.34%, which indicates good performance but still below the company's internal standards. Fishbone diagram analysis identified the main causal factors of downtime, while AHP was used to prioritize improvements. The AHP results showed that developing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was the best strategy to reduce downtime, with a weight of 39.8% and consistency of 2%. This research suggests the implementation of SOPs to improve machine effectiveness and maintain optimal productivity at PT XYZ.

Abstract

The distribution of sulfuric acid raw materials is still conducted conventionally and faces challenges regarding the quantity of supply for each product. Therefore, this research was conducted to help create a mathematical model for the distribution of sulfuric acid using the Goal Programming method with the assistance of LINGO 18.0 software. Goal Programming serves to minimize deviations from limits and targets based on priorities in order to maximize profit and achieve the optimal quantity of sulfuric acid in the distribution of sulfuric acid raw materials, as well as to supply several fertilizers containing sulfuric acid. The research results indicate that the annual sales revenue target of 982,937,304 USD was achieved without any deviations. Most of the optimal production targets for products X1 to X8 were also met, with deviation variables showing no shortfall in production quantities for these products. However, for product X2, there remains a production shortfall of 60,096.15 tons to reach the target of 405,823 tons.

Abstract

Berdasarkan survey di MGMP Biologi di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat diperoleh data bahwa guru-guru biologi disana mengalami kesulitan dalam membuat perangkat pembelajaran biologi yang berbasis contoh-contoh kontekstual. Maka dari itu tim pengabdian FKIP Universitas Jambi merasa terpanggil untuk membantu guru-guru biologi tersebut. Metode pelatihan yang akan dilaksanakan di MGMP Tanjung jabung Barat adalah mengindentifikasi materi-materi biologi yang memerlukan contoh-contoh kontekstual. Kemudian mendesain pembelajaran biologi dengan memasukkan contoh-contoh kontekstual. Memberikan ketrampilan mengindentifikasi contoh-contoh kontekstual yang dapat dijadikan media yang ada dilingkungan sekitar. Mengevaluasi ketercapaian peningkatan pembelajaran biologi melalui contoh-contoh kontekstual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 31 juli 2019 bertempat di SMA N 1 Tanjung jabung barat. Diikuti oleh 20 orang guru biologi yang tergabung dalam MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) Biologi. Kegiatan PPM ini dibuka oleh Ketua MGMP Tanjung Jabung barat dan dihadiri oleh Kepala SMA N 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat. Dalam kegiatan ini diikuti secara antusias oleh guru-guru biologi. Materi disampaikan oleh bapak Ali sadikin, M.Pd tentang peningkatan pembelajaran biologi melalui contoh-contoh kontekstual. Diawali dengan materi pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual secara umum kemudian lebih ditekankan pada learning comunity yang merupakan bagian penting dalam pembelajaran kontekstual. Disini guru sangat antusias karena guru diajarkan bagaimana mencari literasi dengan sci-hub, dan pdf drive. Guru sangat mengikuti dan bertanya tentang bagaimana menggunakan sci-hub untuk mencari jurnal internasional dan nasional. Ditambah penggunaan pdf drive untuk mencari buku-buku elektronik secara gratis tanpa perlu membeli. Guru-guru mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian ini sampai selesai dan berharap tahun depan diadakan lagi. Abstract

Salah satu mata pelajaran yang diajarkan di Sekolah Menengah Tingkat Atas adalah Biologi. Biologi mempunyai karakteristik berupaya untuk mengenal mahluk hidup dan proses kehidupannya di lingkungan, sehingga memerlukan pendekatan dan metode yang memberi ciri dan dasar kerja dalam pengembangan konsep. Untuk itu diperlukan pendekatan dan metode yang memberi ciri dan dasar kerja dalam pengembangan konsep. Salah satu upaya untuk pengembangan konsep adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi terutama untuk materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup adalah herbarium. Herbarium merupakan media pembelajaran yang praktis dan ekonomis, karena dapat digunakan, baik di kelas maupun di laboratorium. Hal ini akan mengatasi alokasi waktu pembelajaran yang terbatas dan keselamatan siswa bisa diantisipasi dibandingkan apabila pelaksanaannya siswa langsung diterjunkan ke lapangan. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memanfaatkan tumbuhan yang ada disekitar sekolah menjadi media pembelajaran berupa Herbarium. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, diskusi dan praktek. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi: pengurusan izin administrasi , mempersiapkan bahan dan alat, serta pembuatan herbarium. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 Agustus 2018. Pelatihan diikuti 32 orang. Pelatihan diawali dengan pemberian materi tentang media pembelajaran khususnya herbarium mengunakan ppt dan video. Selanjutnya para peserta membuat herbarium. Pembuatan herbarium diawali dengan koleksi sampel tumbuhan yang ada di sekitar sekolahan, selanjutnya dilakukan pengepresan dan pengeringan menggunakan sinar matahari, setelah specimen kering selanjutnya di lakukan penempelan dan pemberian label. Secara umum pelatihan berjalan lancar dan peserta menjadi paham tentang pembuataan herbarium dan dapat menggunakan nya sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Lake Kelari is located in the Muaro Jambi National Cultural Heritage Area (KCBN) and has ecological and economic value as a habitat for various species of fish. This study aims to identify the biodiversity of the lake, conservation status, global distribution, and fish biodiversity index in the lake, which can be the scientific basis for the establishment of the proclamation pit as an in-situ conservation effort. The method used is a survey method including the collection of primary data through fishing using nets, bubu, and fishing rods in the 2023 rainy season and the 2024 dry season, as well as measuring water quality and habitat character. The results of the study show that the biodiversity of ikhtiofauna in Lake Kelari includes; 13 species, 13 genera and 7 families. The biodiversity index shows medium criteria. Lake Kelari has the potential as an insitu conservation area with the discovery of a species of senggiringan fish (Hemibagrus planicep) which has the status of Data Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List. Most of the species found are consumption fish, and some others are ornamental fish. The riparian vegetation found varied, the water quality was relatively maintained, and the absence of introduced fish showed the natural environment of Lake Kelari. In conclusion, Lake Kelari has medium fish biodiversity index with important conservation and economic value. The implementation of the ban can be a strategic step in maintaining fish populations and supporting the sustainability of the ecosystem and local economy.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of the manufactures of parmacheutical. Problems which often appeared are surplus and shortage material. Inventory material control not optimum because order only esimate. With exponential smoothing method can be devise of demand next period and EOQ Probabilistic for to know economic order quantity, total safety stock and reorder point so can minimization inventory cost. Purpose of research are to know exponential smoothing method what representatif for manufacture and give recomendation of this research. Results of research are exponential smoothing method representatif for manufacture and EOQ probabilistic method for Antalgin, Paracetamol and Piroxicam material are economic order quantity in the amount of 313 kg, 928 kg and 33 kg, safety stock 160 kg, 403 kg and 2kg and reorder point 325 kg, 1080 kg dan 14 kg. So total inventory cost of Antalgin, Paracetamol and Piroxicam material in the amount of Rp.3.847.146, Rp.5.025.081 and Rp.1.932.255. Keyword : Inventory, Exponential Smoothing, EOQ Probabilistic

Abstract

PT XYZ is one manufacturing company engaged in the production of animal feed. In the production process sometimes product results does not comply with the requests received by the company. There are many factors which could this problem happened. One of them is less than the maximum engine performance production caused by high downtime on a production machine. To find out how well the performance of a production machine, then it is held a performance assessment by using Overall Throughput Effectiveness (OTE) method.Overall Throughput Effectiveness calculations performed on the line pellet machine was obtained 48.97%. This value is still far to the standard value desired by the company which is 70%. For performance improvement can be done by improving the engine damaged and analyzed by using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). From the analysis showed that the failure modes of root dies breaking up with the value of the RPN 224 is a damage that must be repaired immediately because obtaining the highest RPN value compared to other failure modes.Keywords: Measurement of engine performance, OEE, OTE, FMEA
