Abstract

Green mussels (Perna viridis) is one of the results of commodity resources mariculture. Green-lipped mussel is one of the marine organisms that have a high nutritional content because clam meat green tea is rich in protein content with content that is equal to 11.84%, the water content of 78.86%, ash 3.60%, fat content low, amounting to 0.70% and also carbohydrates 4.70%. The successful cultivation of green shells should be supported by the ideal environmental conditions so that the activity of the cultivation of which is made environmentally friendly and sustainable. Ujungpangkah subdistrict is one area of the fishery marine has the potential bududaya green-lipped mussels are very abundant. The purpose of this study is to analyze the density, growth rate and hunungan the length of the weight against the green-lipped mussels on the rope hanging karamba floating. Methods of data collection used in this research using purposive random sampling from representatives of the differences in the characteristics at the study site by calculating the density, the rate of daily growth, and the relationship of the length of the weight. The results of research and discussion that researchers get show that the density of the green shells high based on the depth of the strap obtained on the rope part of the bright points that ranged 29802 ind/m2. on the part of the strap in dark points have a value of density, namely 27826 ind/m2. The relationship of the length of the heavy shells of green on the second point (light and dark) is to produce allometrik negative value of b yaitu – of 0.59 and by -0.32 where growth in length is more dominant than the growth of the weight. The dominance of green shells on a light level of the highest on the rope at a depth of 5 by 92,32 % and at the point of the dark level of the dominance of the highest at a depth of 4 that 93,78%. The rate of growth of the daily green shells obtained the highest on a leash to the D ( the Rope is Bright) depth of 4m that is 1,94%/day and the rope to F ( Strap is Dark ) depth of 3m, namely 1.78%/day.

Abstract

The pandemic that ravaged Indonesia caused restrictions on social interaction policy was reduced people's productivity, particularly the micro-economic components and tourism enterprises in coastal areas. An alternative solution was needed to maintain the existence of the coastal community. The participatory research methods were used to find an ideal form of a solution including CBPR and ABCD. The CBPR method was used for community outreach and acculturation. Meanwhile, the ABCD method was used in the process of optimizing community assets. The process of Pesona Bahari community acculturation yields favorable effects in marine cultivation. Asset inventories by the community show that GWD Beach had huge potential to be a lobster farm. Moreover, the community conducts its business process for lobster cultivation operations by involving all internal and external stakeholders. Pesona Bahari community shows a process of enthusiasm and sustained engagement in order to bring social transformation.

Abstract

The rise of the world of ornamental fish in Indonesia has become a business opportunity for various groups. One of them is the ornamental snakehead fish or Channa pulchra. This fish comes from Myanmar and was imported to Indonesia to meet the needs of the ornamental fish market. One of the factors that influence the success of a fish farming business is the FCR and SR values. The lower the FCR value and the higher the SR value, the better the sustainability of the cultivation business. To maintain FCR and SR values, a good quality feed supply is needed. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of supplementing pelleted feed in the form of Spirulina flour and butterfly pea flower flour (Clitoria ternatea), which contain nutrients to support growth and immunity so that they can improve FCR and SR values. The methods used in this research are quantitative and experimental methods. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 12 containers filled with 1 fish/container. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test which was carried out with Duncan's advanced test. Observation parameters include FCR value, SR value and water quality. The results obtained showed that there was an effect of providing different additional feeds on the FCR value with the best treatment being treatment A with a value of 3.6 ± 0.61. Treatment B has a value of 5.35 ± 0.21 and treatment K has a value of 4.05 ± 0.53. Meanwhile, the SR value does not show any influence from providing additional feed which is different from the value of 100% for each treatment parameter. Water quality results include a salinity value of 0 ppt, DO 7.16 ± 0.68 mg/l and temperature 29.62 ± 0.82 °C. The water quality value is still considered safe for cultivation unless the temperature is too high which is thought to influence fluctuations in the FCR value.

Abstract

Lamongan is known as a producer of various fishery commodities, both marine fishery and freshwater fishery products. This is directly proportional to the large number of fish farmers scattered in several areas of Lamongan. In Gglagah sub-district itself there are several groups of farmers where the main commodities are fresh vanamei shrimp and milkfish. The problem arose from April to July where there was a big harvest in several areas in East Java, especially Lamongan Regency, so that some fishery commodities such as milkfish, especially in Glagah District, Lamongan Regency experienced a significant decline in prices. One of the efforts to utilize the fish so that it has a high selling value is by processing milkfish into semi-finished products, namely batari (milkfish pull out thorns). The price of unplugged milkfish has a very economical price, in traditional markets with small sizes it can reach Rp. 10,000/head with a net weight of 130-180 grams, while large sizes with a net weight of 330-380 grams can reach a price of Rp. 20,000/head. Planned Location for the implementation of internal community service at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik is in Guayam Hamlet, Soko Village, Glagah District, Lamongan Regency, a village where the majority of the population are pond farmers, approximately 75% of pond farmers and 25% are factory workers. The purpose of implementing the internal community service activities at the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik is to first open up business opportunities and job opportunities. The second is to cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit in the community and the third is to produce processed products of Milkfish Cabut Duri. The methods used are lecture and discussion methods, knowledge transfer and demonstration methods. Through guidance in UMG's internal community service program, it is hoped that PKK can utilize all parts of milkfish whose selling price is low from April to July into processed products with high economic value. so that farmers and villagers will benefit

Abstract

Kabupaten Gresik merupakan salah satu daerah di Jawa Timur yang memiliki potensi budidaya perikanan cukup tinggi. Ikan sapu-sapu (Pterygoplichthys serratus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan yang menginvasi dalam tambak ikan, termasuk tambak di Kabupaten Gresik. Ikan ini memiliki kemampuan menyesuaikan diri pada lingkungan dengan kadar oksigen rendah sehingga populasinya cenderung berkembang dengan cepat, serta tidak memiliki predator. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan ikan sapu-sapu sebagai pakan ikan karnivora dengan sasaran para siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan sosialisasi adalah menggunakan metode ceramah, penyuluhan, focus group discussion, serta demonstrasi. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat yang dilakukan meliputi perumusan formulasi pakan, sosialisasi mengenai karakteristik ikan sapu-sapu dan pembuatan pakan ikan, serta pemberian pakan uji coba kepada ikan karnivora lele (Clarias sp.). Melalui sosialisasi yang telah dilakukan, para siswa SMAM 1 Kebomas Gresik sebagai sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian mendapatkan informasi mengenai pentingnya pemanfaatan ikan sapu-sapu sebagai supplementasi pakan untuk mengurangi populasinya sebagai hama tambak ikan sekaligus memberikan alternatif solusi penyediaan pakan terjangkau bagi ikan karnivora sehingga secara tidak langsung dapat mengurangi biaya operasional pembudidayaan ikan di kolam maupun pertambakan.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki hutan mangrove yang sangat luas, yaitu sekitar 1,3% total wilayah Indonesia, dan merupakan rumah dari beberapa jenis kepiting termasuk Scylla serrata. Kepiting yang mendapatkan nutrisi cukup akan memiliki sistem kekebalan tubuh yang kuat, memiliki peningkatan ketahanan terhadap penyakit, serta membantu mereka beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan. Pemberian pakan yang kaya akan nutrisi, dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap tingkat kesehatan kepiting dan menurunkan stres yang dapat memengaruhi produktivitasnya secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis pakan yang optimal terhadap kepiting bakau, dimana dilakukan pemberian pakan yang berbeda pada setiap perlakuan yaitu, presentase buah mangrove pedada pada perlakuan A 60%, perlakuan B 40%, dan perlakuan C 0% (pakan kontrol). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 pengulangan. Konversi pakan (FCR) juga diamati untuk  mengetahui efektivitas pakan yang diberikan. Selama 32 hari, hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan A meberikan hasil terbaik dengan panjang rata-rata kepiting 57,29 ± 6,88 mm, berat rata-rata 43± 19,00 gram, lebar rata-rata 42,03±5,63 mm, dan tebal rata-rata 23,88±2,81 mm. Konversi pakan (FCR)  selama penelitian kepiting bakau terbaik yaitu 102,185. Kualitas air dari keseluruhan perlakuan masih terbilang sesuai dengan standar pembudidaya kepiting. Penelitian ini menunjukkan perlakuan A yaitu perberian buah mangrove pedada (60%) memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dari perlakuan lainnya, sehingga perlakuan ini berpotensi untuk dapat digunakan sebagai dosis optimal suplementasi pakan pada kepiting bakau Scylla serrata.

Abstract

Saluran pencernaan ikan bandeng dihuni oleh beraneka ragam komunitas bakteri dengan karakteristik berbeda-beda. Bakteri tersebut memiliki kemampuan adaptasi dengan kondisi saluran pencernaan ikan bandeng serta menghasilkan enzim pencernaan yang bisa membantu proses pencernaan makanan dalam tubuh ikan. Identifikasi dan karakterisasi bakteri dari saluran pencernaan ikan bandeng penting untuk dilakukan dengan tujuan diantaranya untuk mendapatkan bakteri dengan kemampuan unggul dalam mengurai makanan ikan. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental, sedangkan tahapan penelitian yaitu (1) isolasi dan pemurnian bakteri, (2) identifikasi secara molekuler dan karakterisasi koloni, sel serta biokimia, (3) uji potensi probiotik bakteri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan beberapa isolat bakteri, satu diantaranya telah diidentifikasi secara molekuler dengan 16s rRNA yaitu Pseudomonas guezennei. Karakteristik isolat B2.6 antara lain koloni berbentuk oval dengan pinggiran tidak rata/bergerigi dan diameter sekitar 2,06 cm, warna koloni krem dengan permukaan cembung dan konsistensi kering, bentuk sel batang, gram negatif, memiliki spora dan non-motil. Hasil uji biokimia isolat B2.6 bersifat positif pada produksi indol, katalase, xylosa, ONPG, gelatin, rhamnosa, arabinosa, hidrolisis pati dan kasein. Isolat B2.6 bersifat negatif pada uji oksidase, penggunaan karbon dari sitrat, manitol, urease, sitrat, TDA, malonat, inositol, sorbitol, sukrosa, laktosa, adonitol rafinosa, salisin, arginin, dan koagulase. Potensi probiotik P. guezennei antara lain bersifat amilolitik, mampu bekerja sinergis, bersifat non hemolitik, sensitif terhadap antibiotik jenis Ampicillin, Tetracycline dan Erythromycin, bersifat antagonistik terhadap patogen Aeromonas hydrophila dan Vibrio parahaemolyticus, serta mampu bertahan hidup pada pH asam 2, 3, dan 4.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aims to determine the differences in fattening results for mud crabs during the west and east seasons.. Method: The research was conducted in Tanjangawan Village, Ujungpangkah District, Gresik Regency, using an exploratory descriptive research method. A total of three ponds with a total of four plots were studied in the west and east seasons, namely in June 2021, December 2021, and May-July 2022. Data collection was carried out in the form of primary data collection using observation, interviews, and active participation. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2013.The fattening ratio of mud crabs in the west season and the east season was analyzed by t-test (α=5%). Result: The results of this study obtained from data analysis of the Specific Growth Rate of Mud Crabs (Scylla serrata) in Tanjangawan Village, Ujungpangkah District, Gesik Regency, it was found that the growth rate from the west season was higher (1.2%) compared to the growth rate from the east season (0.41%). The survival value in the west season is 95% higher than the east season, with a value of 92.8%. Conclusion: The different conditions between in the west season and east season obtained in this study indicate mud crabs have larger carapace width and weight in the west season due to increased sunlight exposure.

Abstract

The essential ecosystem of mangroves Ujungpangkah (KEE MUP) is a protection and limited utilization area located on the coastal area in the north of Gresik Regency. This area has high biodiversity, especially various mangroves and waterbird species from different parts of the world due to their migration process. To protect this area, it is required to enhance the sensitivity of students as the young generation to react appropriately to keep the environment sustainable. In this case, education-based environmental studies (Ecological Education) is used as a sustainable approach to answering this challenge. Various activities of community services are structured through a strategic plan for ecological education implementation. With this Ecological Education, students can increase their sense of love for the environment to keep the KEE MUP conservation zone inherited sustainably
