Abstract

This paper about the making of system database user friendly on small and medium industry of automotive component in Central Java. The objective of this research is to make system data base with appearance user friendly and to know how high the level of customer’s satisfaction on the appearance of system database implemented on SMI automotive. This type of research is applied research, the research design uses evaluation research. This research result among others are resulted system database with appearance user friendly and the customer’s satisfaction level on appearance system data base is very high namely the average persentage is 97%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of conventional learning. Besides, student learning motivation is still low due to student activities that are less centered on making workpieces that are suitable for work in the industry. Learning outcomes show that only 55.88% of students reach Minimum Completeness Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan minimum or KKM). The design and learning of productive machining competencies that are in accordance with the needs of the industry influence students' experience and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the results of industrial project-based learning (InPro-BL) milling machine competency learning outcomes in SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. The method used in this study is Class Action Research (CAR) through four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and evaluation, (4) reflection. The samples were 34 students of class XII of Mechanical Engineering. The data were collected using product assessment instruments to measure dimensional accuracy, timeliness, level of disability, level of smoothness, and work attitude. This study was descriptive quantitative, and qualitative. The results of the study show that InPro-BL is effective in improving the learning outcomes of milling machine competencies. In Cycle I,  there is an increase in learning outcomes, from 19 students who completed the KKM to 25 students or 73.52%. In Cycle II, there are 88.23% of students passed the KKM. These results can be improved by paying attention to the management of learning time through the block system, teacher's understanding of industrial-project-based learning, and industry guest teachers mentoring every learning process.

Abstract

Limbah evaporation boats merupakan limbah yang tidak dapat terurai tetapi memiliki daya tahan panasyang sangat tinggi sehingga perlu dimanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh darilaju pemanasan terhadap sifat mekanis dan fisis material crucible yang terbuat dari limbah evaporation boats.Variasi laju pemanasan yang digunakan yaitu 2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10°C/menit saat proses pembakaran di dalam furnace.Komposisi material crucible menggunakan perbandingan berat limbah evaporation boats 70%, grafit 15%,kaolin 7,5%, castable SK-34 7,5%, dan 15% air bersih dari total berat campuran. Setiap bahan diayak denganayakan 100 mesh. Bahan tersebut dicetak menjadi spesimen sesuai standar ASTM C373-72 dengan tekanankompaksi sebesar 40 MPa. Pembakaran menggunakan temperatur 1000°C dan waktu penahanan selama 2 jam.Spesimen diuji kuat tekan, kekerasan Vickers, densitas, struktur mikro. Kuat tekan tertinggi sebesar 29,829 MPapada laju pemanasan lambat 2°C/menit. Nilai kekerasan terendah sebesar 12,64 HVN pada laju pemanasan10°C/menit. Nilai densitas tertinggi sebesar 2,39 g/cm 3 pada laju pemanasan 2°C/menit, sedangkan nilai terendahadalah 1,99 g/cm 3 pada laju pemanasan cepat 10°C/menit. Hasil struktur mikro pada laju pemanasan 2°C/menitmenghasilkan struktur distribusi fasa yang paling seimbang dan kepadatan terbaik pada material crucible.

Abstract

            This study aims to describe the achievement of the K3 management system of class X11 TKR4 students with the dimensions of planning and implementation. The research was conducted in the TKR workshop of SMK Gondang Wonopringgo. The data collection technique used questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, the results were analyzed by categorizing each sub-indicator achievement and describing each sub-indicator. The results of the study obtained a planning achievement level of 49.15% in the poor category and the achievement of the implementation indicator of 52.8% so that it was categorized in the good enough category. The achievement of planning indicators includes sub-indicators of hazard identification with an achievement of 60% so that it falls into the category of good enough and sub-indicators of goals and programs with an achievement of 38.3% so that it falls into the category of not good enough. The achievement of implementation indicators includes sub-indicators of resources and responsibilities of 71.7%, communication and participation with students 42.2%, reporting and recording work accidents 45%, documentation of K3 letters 21.7%, purchasing goods and services 71.7%, work environment 75%, maintenance and repair of facilities 66.7%, health monitoring 82.2%, supervision 56.7%, first aid 35.8%, disaster emergency preparedness 13.3%.

Abstract

Evaporation boats are conductive advanced ceramic composites with the best thermal evaporation source for metalizing applications. The short life time of the evaporation boats causes the metalizing industry to produce large amounts of evaporation boats waste. However, studies on the utilization of evaporation boat waste are still limited. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of firing holding time on the density, porosity, and hardness of crucible materials made from evaporation boats waste. The material used in this research is a mixture of evaporation boats waste powder, kaolin, and graphite, with a composition of 50%, 25% and 25%, respectively. During the mixing process, 15% of the water is added. The compacting process carried out with a compaction pressure of 25 MPa. The firing process is carried out at a temperature of 1000oC with holding times of 60, 90, 120, 150, and 180 minutes. The test results show that the holding time of firing has an effect on density, porosity, and hardness. The highest density value was 1,91 g/cm3 at a holding time of 180 minutes, and the lowest was 1,77 g/cm3 at a holding time of 60 minutes. The highest porosity value is 4,10% at a holding time of 60 minutes, and the lowest is 2,16% at a holding time of 180 minutes. The highest hardness value was 12,84 HV at a holding time of 180 minutes, and the lowest was 8,3 HV at a holding time of 60 minutes. The longer holding time in the firing process results in a decrease in the porosity content. The decrease in the porosity content results in an increase in density and hardness of the cruicible specimens.

Abstract

Material ST 40 yang digunakan dalam pembuatan poros roda mobil listrik, harus memiliki kekasaran permukaan yang baik. Karena poros nantinya akan dirangkai pada komponen lain yaitu bearing. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kecepatan potong, kecepatan asutan, dan kedalaman pemakanan terhadap kekasaran permukaan dengan menggunakan mesin bubut CNC. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Variasi kecepatan potong yang diteliti yaitu 90, 120, 150 m/menit. Kecepatan asutan 0,15; 0,2; 0,25 mm/rev. kedalaman pemakanan 0,25; 0,5; 0,75 mm. penelitian ini menggunakan bahan ST 40, pahat CNMG 120408-MA, dan mesin bubut CNC Fanuc Oit Leadwell. Nilai rata-rata kekasaran permukaan paling baik diperoleh pada interaksi variabel kecepatan potong 150 m/menit, kecepatan asutan 0,15 mm/rev dan kedalaman pemakanan 0,25 mm sebesar 1,034 μm. Dan kekasaran permukaan paling kasar diperoleh pada interaksi variabel kecepatan potong 90 m/menit, kecepatan asutan 0,25 mm/rev, dan kedalaman pemakanan 0,75 mm sebesar 10,594 μm.An electric car wheel axle using ST 40 materials must have good surface roughness due to its contact with bearings. This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut on the surface roughness of the axle machined using a CNC lathe. The research employs an experimental method. The varied machining parameters are cutting speeds (90, 120, 150 meters per minute), feed rate (0.15, 0.2, 0.25 mm/rev) and depth of cut (0.25, 0.5, 0.75 mm). This study uses ST 40 material, CNMG 120408-ma cutting tool, and CNC Fanuc OiT lathe. The best result of average surface roughness value is 1,034 μm (lower is better), obtained at a variable interaction of 150 m/min cutting speed, feed rate of 0.15 mm/rev, and depth of cut 0.25 mm.

Abstract

The rapid transformation brought by Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 demands vocational education to produce graduates who are not only technically competent but also creative and entrepreneurial. This study aims to enhance student creativity in CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) learning by implementing a marketplace-based Teaching Factory model. Using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the study involved 20 students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Program over two learning cycles. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed significant improvements across four assessed aspects: technical skills (from 74.1 to 86.6), product design (from 75.1 to 87.9), marketing (from 73.5 to 86.5), and reflective learning (from 78.2 to 91.0). The marketing aspect experienced the highest gain, indicating that digital marketplaces provide an effective platform for practical entrepreneurial learning. This study concludes that integrating marketplace platforms into Teaching Factory learning can significantly foster creativity and entrepreneurial skills in vocational students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the aerodynamic performance of the 12-passenger electric car body design using a numerical simulation based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with SolidWorks 2020 software. The vehicle body design was created using Autodesk Inventor and analyzed in a speed variation of 80 km/h to 100 km/h. The simulation results showed that the drag coefficient (Cd) value was in the stable range of 0.474 - 0.475 which indicates that the design has a fairly good aerodynamic performance for the shuttle vehicle class. Pressure distribution analysis shows an increase in maximum pressure and suction effect at the rear of the vehicle as speed increases. The airflow pattern also shows an increase in the turbulent zone (wake) behind the vehicle at high speeds which causes aerodynamic efficiency to decrease. Overall, this design shows optimal aerodynamic performance at medium speeds, and can be used as a reference for the development of future electric vehicles.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan sebuah rancangan chassis kendaraan listrik yang aman dan nyaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research And Development (R&D) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak (software) yang mampu untuk pembuatan suatu model dalam bentuk gambar 3 dimensi, dalam hal ini software yang digunakan adalah Autodesk Inventor 2019. Autodesk Inventor 2019 dapat menguji kontruksi chassis yang dapat mengetahui nilai Von-Misses Stress, Displacement dan Safety Factor pada konstruksi frame kendaraan listrik. Dari hasil analisis perancangan chassis kendaraan listrik diperolehkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan secara perhitungan komputer dimana angka dari tiap-tiap bagian yang diuji nilai safety factor sangat aman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain chassis yang dibuat adalah jenis ladder frame yang dapat digunakan untuk kendaraan listrik 2 penumpang. Nilai Von-misses stresses pada material Steel AISI 1035, Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 dan Aluminium Alloy AA 6063-T6 berturut-turut adalah 5.53 x 107 Pa, 5.52 x 107 Pa dan 5.53 x 107 Pa. Nilai Displacement pada material Steel AISI 1035, Besi Hollow ASTM A 500   dan Aluminium Alloy AA 6063-T6 berturut-turut adalah 0.141 mm, 0.141 mm dan 0.250 mm. Nilai Safety factor pada material Steel AISI 1035, Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 dan Aluminium Alloy AA 6063-T6 berturut-turut adalah 6.689, 4.875 dan 3.067. Desain chassis ladder frame yang dibuat dengan material Steel Aisi 1035 memiliki safety factor yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan material Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 dan Aluminium Alloy AA 6063-T6. Tetapi pada tahap fabrikasi di lapangan lebih memilih material Besi Hollow ASTM A 500, alasanya menggunakan material Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 karena material Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 memiliki nilai yield strength yang tidak jauh dengan material Steel Aisi 1035. Dan alasan lainya yaitu karena Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 memiliki nilai safety factor yang sudah di atas angka 4 dan pastinya harga Besi Hollow ASTM A 500 relative lebih terjangkau dibandingkan dengan material Steel Aisi 1035.

Abstract

The aim of this design is to obtain a design for the tension control system and the automatic system, which are the two mechanisms in the unwind, accompanied by an estimate of the design costs. The design process was carried out using the French method. This method is often used for new products or still has few competitors, with the advantage of being able to facilitate the selection of product concept variants efficiently when designing products that have many limitations in terms of variants. Based on the validation results, the second concept design used is a tension measurement mechanism using a load cell and speed regulation using a magnetic powder brake. The results of numerical calculations show that the maximum rotation torque value of the printed material is 13.6 Nm, the maximum speed is 628.24 rpm, and the maximum stress value measured is 206.122 N. Based on the validation results, the second concept design is a movement mechanism that uses four pneumatic cylinders to move the frame and cutter. The results of numerical calculations show that the time required to cut the material is 0.24 seconds, and the time required to return to its original position is 2.25 seconds. The amount of air required for one cutting cycle is 37.83 ×10-6 m3/s. The estimated cost of designing the overall unwind unit based on the components used is IDR. 74,873,625.
