Abstract

Introduction: In the competitive healthcare industry, G Clinic has demonstrated successful marketing practices through the New Wave Marketing (NWM) approach, resulting in a 17.4% increase in repeat visits from self-paying general patients. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between NWM dimensions and reutilization of outpatient services at the G Clinic. Methods : A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted from March to June 2025 at G Clinic, Bekasi City. A total of 110 respondents were selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected through direct interviews (80%) and self-administered questionnaires (20%). Data were analyzed using the chi-square test, with NWM as the independent variable and decision to reuse outpatient services as the dependent variable. Results: Most respondents were young adults (40.9%) and female (65.5%). The majority attained a higher level of education (98.2%). The most common employment status was private sector employment (27.3%). The predominant range of total family income was IDR 5,000,000–IDR 7,999,999 (30.9%). There was a significant relationship between patients' decisions to return and all the NWM dimensions: strategy (p=0.000), tactics (p=0.000), and value-added (p=0.000). This finding highlights the importance of each element in building patient loyalty. Conclusion: The three dimensions of New Wave Marketing—strategy, tactics, and value-added— are associated with the decision to reutilize outpatient services at the G Clinic. It is recommended to develop engaging social media content, design service flow infographics, use the WhatsApp Business API, and launch a Patient Experience Highlight program. Other clinics should also showcase service catalogs on social media, monitor digital reviews, and apply consistent brand guidelines.

Abstract

SATUSEHAT’s platform has been implemented as a form of digital transformation in health services in Indonesia. This platform includes features that facilitate data integration from medical records, medical resumes, and various similar health platforms with the concept of interoperability and data sharing between healthcare facilities in Indonesia. Data sharing and ownership of patient data raises various ethical and legal issues in its application, especially when it relates to the right to patient data in electronic medical records (EMR) in health services. However, in the guidelines for the implementation of EMR, there is no general consent regarding the release of the data. This study aims to analyze legal issues that can occur and recommendations related to the implementation of SATUSEHAT which is integrated with EMR of health care facilities and to develop legal concepts in its application. The method used uses a statutory approach and conceptual. General consent regarding the release of EMR data to be integrated with SATUSEHAT needs to be applied. Several issues may arise regarding the implications of refusing or approving the integration of EMR with SATUSEHAT such as security, confidentiality, and data usage. Healthcare facilities should include general consent regarding the integration of the data as a separate option in the clause in the general consent which is preceded by information regarding the risks and benefits obtained. Guarantees regarding the security and privacy of patient data by both health facilities and the SATUSEHAT’s platform also need to be strengthened so that they do not harm patients. In addition, guidelines regarding data access and ownership need to be developed, and clarification on the responsible party and the sanctions to be imposed in the event of a data leakage need to be further defined

Abstract

Background: Vaccination for COVID-19 has been intensively developed since the end of 2020. Its use must also obtain an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) permit. Some of the vaccines have been used including Sinovac, Astra Zeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Sinopharm. In fact, there are many effects that have developed after the COVID-19 vaccination administration like local reactions, systemic reactions, and other reactions. In addition, one of them is urticaria. However, the existing literature has focused poorly on urticaria caused by COVID-19 vaccines. Aims: This research explores the prevalence, pathophysiology, and treatment of urticaria post-COVID-19 vaccination. Methods: This study conducted a systematic review based on the guideline which is Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). We searched Scopus, ProQuest, Ebsco, and Google Scholar databases from 2020 until 2022 for identifying the data regarding urticaria post-COVID-19 vaccination. In a nutshell, 9 studies were included in the systematic review. Results: Only 28% of urticarial rashes incident among all cutaneous adverse reactions after post-COVID-19, it was higher among females and people aged 45-49 years old, and people with allergy histories. The most frequent reaction is urticarial following the COVID-19 vaccine administration. This concerns hypersensitivity reaction related to Immunoglobulin E (IgE) mediated, Immunoglobulin G (IgG), and sensitizing excipients in COVID-19 vaccines. Conclusion: This systematic review raises the concern of hypersensitivity reaction that related to IgE-mediated, IgG, and sensitizing excipients in COVID-19 vaccines. Urticaria is the most frequent reaction after the COVID-19 vaccine administration. Attention to medical history and immunology/allergy consultation might be advantageous to assess the risk of allergy and the guidance of the vaccine.   Received: 9 May 2023; Revised: 8 June 2023; Accepted: 18 July 2023
