Abstract

The use of storytelling or habituation techniques in Islamic early childhood education (PAUD), especially in institutions such as PAUD Al Hasanah Luwuk, is still fairly minimal. This study aims to analyse the application of Islamic education in developing noble morals in early childhood at PAUD Al Hasanah Luwuk. The scope of the study includes aspects of teaching morals based on Islamic teachings through learning methods applied in these educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to find out how Islamic education is applied in shaping children's noble character and morals, as well as to evaluate its impact on their moral development. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was conducted through direct observation, interviews with educators and parents, as well as documentation of activities conducted at PAUD Al Hasanah Luwuk. The results showed that Islamic education at PAUD Al Hasanah Luwuk includes teaching about moral values contained in Islamic teachings, such as discipline, compassion, honesty, and courtesy. The use of storytelling methods, joint prayers, and daily activities based on Islamic values proved effective in developing noble morals in early childhood. The conclusion of this study is that the consistent implementation of Islamic education can play an important role in shaping the noble morals of early childhood, which will have a positive impact on their moral development in the future

Abstract

Membaca puisi merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Membaca puisi merupakan salah satu keterampilan aspek kebahasaan yang perlu dilatih dan dibiasakan. Pelatihan membaca puisi sangat penting dilakukan agar siswa dapat membaca puisi dengan baik. Selain itu, membaca puisi juga berkaitan dengan penggunaan mimik dan penghayatan. Pada pelatihan menggunakan dua metode, yaitu pemberian materi tentang membaca puisi dan praktek dalam membaca puisi. Pelatihan puisi dalam pengabdian ini difokuskan untuk melatih siswa pada aspek memahami makna puisi, pelafalan yang jelas atau artikulas, ekspresi/mimik, dan gerak pada saat membaca puisi. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan membaca puisi di SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Rambipuji dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Rambipuji sebagian besar sudah mampu memahami materi tentang membaca puisi (pelafalan, intonasi, pemenggalan, ekspresi dan mimik). Kedua, sebagain siswa sudah dapat membaca puisi dengan baik (pelafalan, intonasi, pemenggalan, ekspresi dan mimik). Ketiga, siswa yang belum mampu membaca puisi dengan baik kesulitan pada aspek ekspresi dan mimik.

Abstract

Program Kampus Mengajar bertujuan untuk memberikan dukungan belajar mengajar di SDN Mumbulsari 03 Jember melalui gerakan literasi sekolah, yang mencakup kegiatan pojok baca, private class, English time, dan kunjungan perpustakaan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan literasi siswa. Metode Pengabdian: Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan mahasiswa sebagai pengajar yang berinteraksi langsung dengan siswa. Mahasiswa mendesain dan melaksanakan program literasi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, motivasi, dan partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan membaca dan menulis. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman literasi siswa, yang terlihat dari perbaikan kemampuan membaca dan menulis. Selain itu, motivasi belajar siswa meningkat, tercermin dari partisipasi aktif mereka dalam berbagai kegiatan. Keterlibatan siswa dalam akses sumber bacaan juga meningkat melalui kegiatan pojok baca dan kunjungan perpustakaan, yang memperluas wawasan dan minat baca mereka. Kehadiran Program Kampus Mengajar yang berkelanjutan di SDN Mumbulsari 03 Jember tidak hanya memberikan peluang bagi mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan diri di luar kampus, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Program ini dapat dijadikan model untuk implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar di sekolah-sekolah lain. Kata Kunci: Kampus Mengajar, Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, Gerakan Literasi

Abstract

Self esteem conceptually has 2 main components including self competence and self liking. Self-competence is focused on describing one's own abilities, while self-liking is how far one likes or appreciates oneself. Appreciating and liking yourself is a dimension that can have a positive impact on the improvement and abilities of students both in the school environment and society in general. The aim of this research is to examine more deeply the self-liking of Muhammadiyah high school students in Jember. This study used a quantitative approach, using a structured interview instrument in the form of a questionnaire with five answer options. The results showed that the majority of students had a very good level of self-liking. There are several aspects related to the self-liking indicator aspect which has a percentage of answers that can be categorized as sufficient, namely first, the feeling of being liked by friends, second, lack of liking in the ability to express opinions, third, the feeling that students are proud of themselves. The findings of this study, although the answer options show a sufficient category, implicitly it can be understood that students have an awareness of deficiencies and do not always position themselves as over-acting or popular personalities. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the level of self-liking students has a very good category as a synergistic manifestation with good self-esteem dimensions.

Abstract

The research background is that receptive language skills are essential for young children's ability to retell, follow rules, and carry out instructions. This is crucial because it facilitates a child's communication and interaction with their surroundings, supporting the learning process when conducted with teachers. The research objective is to determine the strategies used by teachers to enhance the receptive language skills of young children at SPS Dahlia 64 in Kalisat, Jember Regency. The research is of a qualitative descriptive nature, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings regarding the strategies employed by teachers include familiarization activities, storytelling, listening to stories and watching videos, using engaging teaching aids, incorporating movement and songs, promoting collaborative activities, allowing children to choose their own activities so they can discuss what they have done, providing picture books, and engaging in question-and-answer sessions. Teachers also establish closeness with children and reach mutual agreements. They frequently encourage children to talk and involve them in activities, such as asking them to pick up or place objects. In conclusion, teachers employ strategies to stimulate the receptive language skills of young children through a communicative approach, engaging activities with appealing and enjoyable media, making it easier for children to express themselves and communicate their thoughts when interacting with others.

Abstract

This study is an educational analysis aimed at shaping the attitudes and behavior of children to become good and morally upright individuals. The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation of religious character values for early childhood in PAUD Yasmin, Jember Regency. The research is of a qualitative descriptive type and employs data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings regarding the implementation of religious character values for young children by teachers in the learning activities include the use of visual media, videos, and storytelling. In the application of religious character values for the early childhood group, this is achieved through daily routines such as Dhuha prayers, reciting prayers, memorizing short verses, and Quranic recitation. For the Playgroup age group, the application of religious character values is also carried out through daily routines, including Dhuha prayers, memorizing short verses, and reciting prayers. In the case of the Islamic Education Group (TPA), this is done through daily routines involving reciting prayers, memorizing short verses, and singing Islamic children's songs. In conclusion, the implementation of religious character values for young children can be integrated into the learning activities and further developed through self-improvement and character building for young children in their daily lives.

Abstract

The curriculum is present as a guideline used by educators where the curriculum experienced various changes as a form of adaptation to a dynamic era. Wrong one of which is by implementing an independent learning curriculum where this curriculum is considered new. The purpose of this research is to identify and obtain information about the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in Jember Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method, which describes objects about situations and data obtained during observations so that they become useful information and are easily understood by readers. This study explains and provides an overview of the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in Jember Regency, to find out schools that have implemented the independent learning curriculum and those that have not implemented the independent learning curriculum. The results obtained were 961 kindergartens in Jember Regency, only 6 kindergartens had implemented the independent learning curriculum, while 599 had not implemented the independent learning curriculum

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini berkisar pada permasalahan hasil belajar yang dibawah standar. Kajian ini berfokus pada komponen yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar, atau model pembelajaran. Fokus penelitian ini berkisar pada sejauh mana model pembelajaran CORE berdampak pada prestasi belajar siswa. Model pembelajaran CORE dipilih secara khusus sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran untuk penyelidikan ini. Dengan menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental dengan desain non-comparable Control Group, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan penilaian, sedangkan uji t digunakan untuk menilai disparitas hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE memperoleh hasil belajar yang tinggi, sedangkan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional memperoleh hasil belajar yang tinggi dan rata-rata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan gender dalam pemecahan masalah siswa SMP. Tes dan wawancara terstruktur digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas VIII SMP Islam Ambulu-Jember yang berjumlah 11 (laki-laki) dan 9 (perempuan). Dari hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa perempuan tinggi (81,67) dan rata-rata kemampuan (61,67), sedangkan rata-rata nilai siswa laki-laki tinggi (85,56) dan kemampuan berbahasa (65). Karena perempuan lebih baik dalam bidang bahasa dan budaya, laki-laki lebih baik dalam bidang teknis. Perbedaan gender merupakan karakteristik psikologis yang menentukan bagaimana seseorang bertindak atau menyelesaikan masalah berdasarkan sudut pandang yang berbeda. Namun kemampuan menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut tidak berbeda secara signifikan antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Meskipun ada sedikit kesalahan terkait dengan kesalahpahaman makna pertanyaan dan mengandalkan tebakan alih-alih mengikuti prosedur yang ditetapkan. Oleh karena itu, anak laki-laki cenderung mengembangkan otak kiri yang bertanggung jawab atas pemikiran logis, abstrak, dan analitis, sedangkan anak perempuan cenderung mengembangkan otak kanan yang bertanggung jawab atas pemikiran artistik, keutuhan, imajinasi, dan rasionalitas. Oleh karena itu, keterampilan pemecahan masalah matematis bertujuan agar siswa dapat mengidentifikasi informasi yang relevan, menganalisis berbagai metode, dan mengembangkan keterampilan penalaran dan berpikir mereka.AbstractThis research examines gender differences in problem-solving among high school students. Tests and structured interviews were used to collect data. The research subjects were Class VIII students of Ambulu-Jember Islamic Middle School, totaling 11 (boys) and 9 (girls). From the evaluation results it is known that the average score of female students is high (81.67) and average ability (61.67), while the average score of male students is high (85.56) and language ability (65). Because women are better in language and culture, men are better in technical fields. Gender differences are psychological characteristics that determine how someone acts or solves problems based on different points of view. However, the ability to solve these problems is not significantly different between male and female students. Although there were a few errors related to misunderstanding the meaning of the questions and relying on guesswork instead of following the established procedures. Therefore, boys tend to develop the left brain which is responsible for logical, abstract and analytical thinking, while girls tend to develop the right brain which is responsible for artistic thinking, wholeness, imagination and rationality. Therefore, mathematical problems-solving skills aim to enable students to identify relevant information, analyze various methods, and develop their reasoning and thinking skills.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah kurang optimalnya guru menyusun pengelolaan pembelajaran agar siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran dan menciptakan kegiatan bermain yang menarik dan bermakna. Metode pelaksanaan dengan melalui tiga tahapan kegiatan yaitu: 1) Seminar; 2) Workshop; dan 3) Pendampingan dan evaluasi kepada guru. Hasil pelaksanaan yaitu: 1) Peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam Project Based Learning (PjBL); 2) Peningkatan inovasi penyusunan perencanaan kegiatan Project Based Learning (PjBL); 3) Pengembangan kegiatan bermain berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL); 4) Guru lebih sistematis dalam pengelolaan Project Based Learning (PjBL). Kesimpulan kegiatan adalah pelatihan pengelolaan pembelajaran proyek bagi anak usia dini di PAUD Yasmin sangat bermanfaat dan memberikan pencerahan serta pengamalan bagi guru. Dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini, guru dilatih untuk secara bertahap dapat mempersiapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek untuk anak usia dini dengan sistematis sehingga pembelajaran yang akan diberikan dapat dipersiapkan dengan baik dan terencana agar menghasilkan pembelajaran yang menarik, menyenangkan dan bermakna bagi anak usia dini.
