Abstract

The rapid development of the digital era has changed the view of women's roles that were previously confined to household responsibilities, and now the stigma is starting to erode. In Javanese culture, there is the concept of "kanca wingking" which refers to the role of women at home to perform tasks such as cleaning, cooking, taking care of children, and so on. However, with the advent of the women's emancipation movement, the stigma has begun to fade as many women have careers. The same thing happened in the traditional music scene in West Java. Gender stigma also emerged by prohibiting women to play the Rebab instrument in Sundanese karawitan. This paper discusses how Puspa Karima, whose members are all women, tries to change the gender stigma in Sundanese karawitan performances. The method used is qualitative as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people through the interview stage. In addition, data can also be collected through observation of people's behavior in the field on the object of research. The results of this paper show that Puspa Karima not only succeeded in changing the gender stigma that applies to Sundanese karawitan performances, but Puspa Karima actually succeeded in bringing gender issues in the case of karawitan art to the international arena. Keywords: Gender Stigma, Kanca Wingking, Women, Sundanese Karawitan

Legal protection for the insured's heirs is regulated in Article 22-26 POJK No. 20/2023 concerning Insurance Linked to Credit, which highlights the importance of information transparency. If the claim is rejected due to the absence of a medical examination, the insured's heirs can file a lawsuit in District Court. Decision Number 38/Pdt.G/2023/PN Tgl emphasizes the importance of a medical examination before closing a policy, reflecting the principle of prudence and utmost good faith. This decision provides justice, certainty and benefits for policyholders by guaranteeing claim payments according to the provisions. It is recommended that there be detailed regulations regarding mandatory medical check-ups and transparency of information in credit life insurance. Insurance companies and banks must also increase the education of prospective insureds regarding the importance of medical examinations before disbursing credit.

Abstract

Copyright and trademarks are aspects of intellectual property rights (IPR) with different protection concepts and objectives. Copyright aims to protect creations in the fields of art, literature, and science, whereas trademarks aim to protect distinguishing signs of goods and/or services marketed. This research aims to identify, examine, and analyse legal protection for photographers concerning portraits used in trademarks. This study employs normative legal research methods using statutory and case law approaches. The results indicate that legal protection for photographers is regulated in Article 1, Points 1 and 10, Articles 5, and 9 of Law No. 28 of 2014, and Article 21, paragraph (2), letter a of Law No. 20 of 2016. This protection encompasses moral rights and economic rights, which are granted automatically once the creation is expressed in a tangible form that can be seen, read, or heard. Thus, a portrait included in a trademark never loses its exclusive right as copyrighted material. Commercial use by other parties must be based on permission from the creator or copyright holder.

Abstract

The guidance and supervision actions carried out by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) if unable to prevent the occurrence of force delisting, then force delisting will not only affect the issuer but also affect investors so that this must also be the responsibility of the issuer where the responsibility must be ensured to run well and clearly. This means that the existence of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in carrying out guidance and supervision of issuers that will be force delisted aims to provide legal protection, namely in the form of guaranteeing the rights of legal subjects (not only issuers whose rights are protected but also investors) and this protection is given to legal subjects so that they can enjoy all the rights granted by law.

Abstract

Cross-border e-commerce transactions, involving various payment methods such as international credit/debit cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, and QR Cross-border, have made it easier for consumers to engage in international transactions with varying costs. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method and in-depth interviews. Data were obtained through document analysis related to QRIS policies, cross-border transaction reports, and interviews with experts in the field of e-commerce and digital law in ASEAN. The result although e-commerce offers significant benefits, legal challenges such as personal data protection, unclear legal status, and inter-country legal permissions still need to be addressed. In Indonesia, the QRIS standard launched by Bank Indonesia has helped improve the efficiency of the payment system and supports cross-border transactions in ASEAN, in line with regional economic integration through the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). With Indonesia serving as the chair of ASEAN in 2023, collaboration in e-commerce and MSMEs continues to be strengthened, despite facing policy challenges, infrastructure, and cybersecurity concerns.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of sculpture as a medium for documenting political, social, and cultural transformations at the Lima Gunung Museum. The sculptures in this museum not only represent visual beauty, but also function as symbolic reflections on socio-political issues. Case studies of works such as Gus Semar Gunung, Cocot Kencono, Cicak vs Buaya, and Sinar Hati Gus Dur present critiques of phenomena such as pluralism, the post-truth era, power conflicts, and cultural acculturation. Through an aesthetic analysis approach based on AA Djelantik's theory, this article shows how sculpture can be a documentation tool that preserves historical narratives visually, conveys universal social criticism, and triggers dialogue with audiences. Documentation through sculpture provides an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of Indonesian society and politics, making art a bridge between aesthetic values and social messages.

Abstract

Padepokan Tjipta Boedaja in Tutup Ngisor Village, Magelang, is a traditional arts centre that has been running since 1937. As a collective space, the pavilion is a place for art preservation, social cohesion, and expression of cultural values. This research explores the aesthetic and social meanings of the pendopo using Y.B. Mangunwijaya's aesthetic theory. Through a qualitative approach and descriptive-analytical method, this research reveals the design elements of the pendopo that reflect the Nusantara philosophy, such as Gupala, Dewi Saraswati, and Yaksa Kala Liman ornaments, as well as the social function of the pendopo as an open and inclusive space. The results show that pendopo not only functions as a physical space, but also as a symbolic medium that strengthens cultural identity, supports art preservation, and builds community solidarity. This study provides a new perspective in understanding spatial design as an integral part of cultural preservation and social life.
