Abstract

ABSTRAKAir merupakan kebutuhan dasar dalam  kehidupan sehari-hari semua makluk hidup. Manusia, binatang dan tumbuhan memerlukan air untuk kelangsungan kehidupannya. Air dapat juga digunakan sebagai pelarut, pembersih dan keperluan lain seperti rumah tangga, industri maupun usaha lainnya. Untuk keperluan industri air berfungsi sebagai pendingin mesin, bahan baku maupun pembersih atau penggelontor limbah. Air juga berfungsi untuk usaha pertanian, perikanan, olah raga, wisata, pemadam kebakaran dan lain-lain.            Penyediaan air bersih menjadi perhatian khusus baik bagi negara-negara maju maupun negara yang sedang berkembang. Indonesia seperti halnya pula negara berkembang lainnya, tidak luput dari permasalahan dalam penyediaan air bersih masyarakatnya. PDAM merupakan salah satu perusahaan penyediaan air bersih yang dikelola Pemerintah Daerah. Kata kunci : Kajian kapasistas produksi IPA PDAM Tirta Benuah Kutim

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multiple-choice questions for Mid-Semester Assessment in the thematic learning of class V at 39 Pontianak City Elementary Schools based on validity, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, effectiveness of distractors, and reliability. This research is a descriptive quantitative method. The Mid-Semester Assessment Question consists of 2 themes, namely theme 6 (20 points) and theme 7 (19 points). The questions were analyzed based on validity, level of difficulty, discriminatory power, effectiveness of distractors and reliability using Microsoft Excel 2010. The subjects in this study were students of class V. The data collection technique was carried out with documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the questions are of good quality. (1) The validity of the theme 6 questions as many as 19 items (95%), theme 7 as many as 18 items (94.74%) is said to be valid. (2) The level of difficulty in theme 6 is 13 items (68.42%) in the easy category, and 2 items (10.53%) in the difficult category, in theme 7 there are 11 items (61.11%) in the easy category, so it includes questions that not of good quality in terms of difficulty level. (3) The distinguishing power of theme 6 is 10 items (52.63%) in the bad category and 1 item (5.26%) in the good category, theme 7 is 6 items (33.33%) in the bad category and 3 items (16.67%) good category so that the questions are of moderate quality in terms of distinguishing power. (4) The effectiveness of distractors for theme 6 is 1 item (5.26%) in very good category, 8 items (42.11%)in good category, 6 items (31.58%) in poor category, theme 7 is 4 items (22 ,22%) in very good category, 4 items (22.22%) in good category, 3 items (16.67%) in poor category, so that the questions are of good quality in terms of distractor effectiveness. (5) The reliability of theme 6 questions is 0.9592, theme 7 is 0.8950 so that the questions are of good quality because of high reliability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar dan mengajar tingkat sekolah dasar di Kalimantan Barat pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap guru-guru di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis pola pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru-guru di masa pandemi COVID-19 yaitu pembelajaran daring dan luring. Pertama kegiatan pembelajaran daring yang umumnya dilakukan oleh guru melalui aplikasi media sosial berupa WhatsApp. Kegiatan belajar dan mengajar dilakukan dengan  cara mengirim teks, video, rekaman suara, dan power point, kepada siswa. Kedua kegiatan pembelajaran luring yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan memberikan tugas mingguan, pembelajaran secara berkelompok, dan pembelajaran dengan les. Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru selama proses kegiatan belajar dan mengajar di masa pandemi COVID 19 di antaranya adalah kurangnya ketersediaan perangkat pembelajaran daring, sumber daya manuasia (SDM) yang kurang mumpuni, dan sikap negatif baik itu berasal dari guru, siswa, maupun orang tua

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah terkait dengan pesatnya kemajuan teknologi khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan. Dalam perkembangan teknologi pendidikan, media yang interaktif dan bervariasi seperti Canva menjadi relevan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana Canva digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dimana pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan penyebaran kuesioner. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Canva dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di kelas XI SMAN Sungai Kakap Kabupaten Kubu Raya berlangsung menarik, interaktif, dan menumbuhkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dan guru sehingga menghasilkan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Kesimpulannya, penerapan Canva dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris mendapat respon positif dari siswa dan dinilai berhasil mendukung proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Parents play a pivotal role in their children's learning success, especially during home-based learning activities. As the primary figures in their children's lives, parents take on the role of co-learners, contributing significantly to the learning journey. The aim of this study is to identify the involvement of parents in supporting the learning of their children or elementary school student while at home. The research utilizes a descriptive method within a qualitative research design. The subjects of this study consist of five parents either fathers or mothers of elementary school students. Data collection is conducted through semi-structured interviews. The data analysis employs an interactive qualitative data analysis approach, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The research findings reveal that parents actively engage in tutoring, motivating, facilitating and assessing their children's learning activities. In conclusion, tutor, motivator, facilitator and assessor are the roles that reflects the diverse ways parents contribute to their children's success in learning settings at home.

Abstract

Indonesian language is a subject that must be taught at the elementary school level, and many studies have been conducted to evaluate how the application of certain learning models and strategies influences the teaching and learning process to improve students' Indonesian language skills. This meta-analysis study is intended to examine the effects of Problem Based Learning on Indonesian language learning achievement in elementary schools in Indonesia.The study utilized meta-analysis methodology by analyzing research literature data, specifically the learning outcomes resulting from the implementation of PBL in Indonesian language subject at the elementary school level. The data for this study were collected through documentary study technique, which involved gathering electronic articles related to the utilization of PBL in Indonesian language subjects at the elementary school level from indexed journals such as Google Scholar and Sinta. Based on the results of the meta-analysis, it can be concluded that the PBL model is capable of enhancing students' cognitive learning outcomes. Abstract

The product of student worksheets (LKPD) based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for thematic learning of science content on the human and animal digestive systems is the aim of this research. In addition, it also aims to find out whether or not elementary schools can implement student worksheet products (LKPD) based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) for thematic learning of science class V theme 3 sub-theme 1. By adopting the ADDIE design development model, research and development (RnD) was used as the research method. The analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages are the HOTS-based LKPD development process. The results of the validation of the four validators and student response trials became a source of research data. Validator validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires during product trials became the method of collecting data for this study. To find out the validity of the product, validation questionnaires were distributed to class teachers, linguists, design experts, and material experts. Limited trials and wide trials are two phases of trials. The material aspect of LKPD feasibility validation produces an average score of 4.2 with very valid criteria. The feasibility of the language aspect gets an average score of 4.8 with very valid criteria, and the feasibility of the design aspect gets an average score of 3.9 with a valid category. The test results obtained an average score of fifth grade students' limited trials was 4.6 and the average value of fifth grade students' wide trials was 4.5. So that it can be stated that the HOTS-based LKPD can and is fully feasible for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' ability to determine the intrinsic elements of children's story texts. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. It involved the fourth-grade students at State Elementary School 30 South Pontianak with a total o 22 students. Data were collected from a multiple-choice test consisting of 40 questions. Data were analyzed with 4 stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the student’s average ability to determine intrinsic elements in children's story texts was 75.8 with a good category. Furthermore, 6 students (0.27%), 9 students (0.42%), and 7 students (0.31%) respectively showed very good, good, and sufficient categories in determining the intrinsic elements of the children’s story text. It can be concluded that some students still have difficulties in determining the intrinsic elements of children’s story texts.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how primary school teachers integrate character education based on indigenous cultures and traditions in elementary school settings. Using a qualitative approach, the study involved collecting and analyzing data through semi-structured interviews with eight educators. The procedure included gathering information, reducing and presenting data, and drawing conclusions to understand how teachers incorporate local traditions and cultures from the Malay and Dayak tribes—such as Pengari, Saprahan, Beduruk, Robok-robok, Beroyong and Jagau Sungei—into their teaching practices. The findings reveal that teachers adapt these traditions to promote character development, focusing on values like cooperation, mutual assistance, responsibility, social care, and environmental consciousness. This study contributes novel insights into the practical application of indigenous cultural elements in character education and demonstrates how these practices can enhance student development and cultural awareness.

Abstract

The concept of artificial intelligence (AI) has become inextricably linked to the technological developments occurring within the context of the Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 eras. AI can be defined as a computer program comprising integrated machine learning, hardware, and software components. This concept of AI draws inspiration from the neocognitron patterns observed in the human brain and employs knowledge derived from hardware and software in order to fulfil its functions. With the advent of Industry 4.0, AI has been increasingly utilized in diverse domains, including education. The objective of this research is to elucidate the role of AI in education during the Industry 4.0 era, employing qualitative research methodologies. In the context of education, AI facilitates personalized learning experiences tailored to individual learners. AI systems assist educators in designing individualized learning profiles, encompassing a range of practical exercises, for each learner. This permits the adaptation of learning materials to align with the abilities, learning styles, and experiences of each learner. The implementation of AI technology in education is considered beneficial, facilitating the tasks of educators, particularly those related to administration, such as assessment and determining final grades based on applicable weights and evaluations. Furthermore, AI technology has the potential to enhance the quality of active and interactive learning experiences, thus facilitating the teaching-and-learning process for educators and learners alike..
