Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the accuracy of morpheme usage in short story compositions written by Ninth Grade students at MTs (Islamic Junior High School) Baitul Muslim Kalibagor, Kalibagor Sub-district, Banyumas. A morpheme is the smallest unit of language that plays a role in the study of words, word formation, and word structure, and is examined through the field of morphology. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, as the data analyzed consists of sentences containing morphemes. The data were collected through observation techniques, specifically by reading students' short stories and identifying linguistic forms containing morphemes. Subsequently, the data were documented and classified based on the area of analysis, namely the accuracy of morpheme usage. The documentation and analysis process was carried out with reference to the classification of morpheme types, including free and bound morphemes, simplex and complex morphemes, segmental and suprasegmental morphemes, lexical and non-lexical morphemes, as well as root words, stems, and bases. This study is expected to contribute to the development of morphological studies in the Indonesian language and serve as a reference source for language learning, both in academic and practical contexts. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini  adalah untuk melakukan analisis ketepatan penggunaan morfem yang terdapat pada karya tulis cerita pendek siswa kelas IX (Sembilan) di MTS Baitul Muslim Kalibagor, Kalibagor, Banyumas. Morfem adalah unit terkecil dari satu bahasa tentang bagaimana menyelidiki kata, pembentukan kata, dan struktur kata yang dapat dipelajari melalui morfologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif karena data yang dikaji berupa kalimat-kalimat yang memiliki morfem. Data diperoleh melalui teknik simak dengan membaca cerpen karya siswa dan mengidentifikasi bentuk kebahasaan yang memuat morfem. Setelah itu, data dicatat dan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan bidang kajian, yaitu ketepatan penggunaan morfem. Proses dokumentasi dan analisis dilakukan dengan mengacu pada klasifikasi jenis morfem, meliputi morfem bebas dan morfem terikat, morfem utuh dan morfem terbagi, morfem segmental dan morfem suprasegmental, morfem bermakna leksikal dan tidak bermakna leksikal, serta morfem dasar, bentuk dasar, pangkal (stem), dan akar (root). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan kajian morfologi bahasa Indonesia dan menjadi sumber referensi untuk pembelajaran bahasa, baik di lingkungan akademik maupun praktis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of spelling errors that frequently occur in official letters written at the Kebanggan Village Office, Moga District, Pemalang Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. The data in this study are written data in the form of spelling errors, including capitalization errors, word misspellings, punctuation errors, and loanword errors. The data sources used in this study were official letter documents prepared by the Kebanggan Village officials, Moga District, Pemalang Regency. The technique used in this study was observation and note-taking. The data analysis techniques included data preparation, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that eleven types of spelling errors were found in official letters written at the Kebanggan Village Office, Moga District, Pemalang Regency. First, there were five capitalization errors. Second, there was one word misspelling. Third, there were four punctuation errors. Fourth, there was one loanword error. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kesalahan ejaan yang sering muncul dalam penulisan surat resmi di Kantor Desa Kebanggan, Kecamatan Moga, Kabupaten Pemalang. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu data tertulis yang berupa kesalahan ejaan yakni mencakup kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital, kesalahan penulisan kata, kesalahan penulisan tanda baca, dan kesalahan penulisan serapan. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa dokumen surat resmi yang dibuat oleh perangkat Desa Kebanggan, Kecamatan Moga, Kabupaten Pemalang. Teknik yang dilakukan dalam penelitian adalah teknik simak dan catat. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan terdiri dari tahap penyediaan data, tahap reduksi data, tahap penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam penulisan surat resmi di Kantor Desa Kebanggan, Kecamatan Moga, Kabupaten Pemalang terdapat sebelas bentuk kesalahan ejaan. Pertama, terdapat lima data kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital. Kedua, terdapat satu data kesalahan penulisan kata. Ketiga, terdapat empat data kesalahan penggunaan tanda baca. Keempat, terdapat satu data kesalahan penulisan serapan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of video tourism media on the ability to write descriptive texts of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Cilacap. The method used was a quasi-experiment with two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The research instrument was in the form of a test to write descriptions given before (pretest) and after (posttest) treatment. The results of the prerequisite test showed that the data did not meet the assumptions of normality and homogeneity, so the analysis was continued with the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in both groups, but the improvement in the experimental group was more consistent and substantial, with an average score increase of almost three times that of the control group. A more detailed analysis showed that the use of video media not only improved numerical scores, but also improved the quality of students' writing, especially in terms of content, text structure, and vocabulary. In addition, the use of local content in videos has been proven to make learning more contextual, relevant, and motivate students to write in more detail and sequence. Overall, this study emphasizes that video tourism media is an effective, adaptive, and sustainable learning strategy in developing description writing skills, and has the potential to be applied to various types of texts and other levels of education.

Abstract

Popular scientific articles require not only linguistic accuracy but also the ability to adapt style and structure for a broad audience. This study examines the association between vocabulary mastery and the quality of popular scientific article writing, and describes learner profiles related to reading exposure to popular science texts among junior high school students. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from one Grade VIII class at SMP Negeri 5 Cilacap (AY 2024/2025) selected through purposive sampling. Instruments included a multiple-choice vocabulary test and a writing task assessed with an analytic rubric covering Creativity & Engagement, Structure & Organization, and Vocabulary & Sentence Variety. Because one variable was non-normally distributed, Spearman’s rho was applied, complemented by scatter/box-plot visualizations and quadrant mapping to profile outliers and compensation patterns. Results showed a weak, positive, and non-significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and writing quality (ρ = 0.233; p = 0.199). Visualization revealed heterogeneous profiles: some students with limited vocabulary achieved adequate writing through organization and rhetorical strategies (Low-High quadrant), while some with higher vocabulary underperformed when structure and audience adaptation were weak (High-Low quadrant). Groups with higher reading exposure to popular science tended to obtain consistently higher rubric scores. For that, vocabulary supports writing, but it is not a sufficient determinant of success in popular science writing. Instruction should integrate vocabulary development, regular reading of popular science texts, and explicit teaching of rhetorical organization and audience adaptation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of ecoliteracy values in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 1 Pejawaran, as well as their connection with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with subjects including Indonesian language teachers, students from grades VII–IX, and school administrators. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the integration of ecoliteracy encompasses three domains: (1) Cognitive, in the form of understanding ecological concepts through environment-themed texts; (2) Affective, through the enhancement of empathy and ecological responsibility; and (3) Psychomotor, through tangible actions such as literacy projects and sustainability campaigns. The learning strategies include Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), and the reflective collaborative approach integrated into the co-curricular project with the theme of Sustainable Lifestyles. This integration has been proven to enhance writing skills, ecological awareness, and student participation in environmental actions. Indonesian language learning based on ecoliteracy effectively fosters students' ecological literacy and supports the implementation of sustainable education in schools. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis integrasi nilai-nilai ekoliterasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 1 Pejawaran, serta keterkaitannya dengan SDG 4 (Pendidikan Berkualitas) dan SDG 13 (Penanganan Perubahan Iklim). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek guru Bahasa Indonesia, siswa kelas VII–IX, dan pihak sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis dengan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ekoliterasi mencakup tiga ranah: (1) Kognitif, berupa pemahaman konsep ekologis melalui teks bertema lingkungan; (2) Afektif, melalui penguatan empati dan tanggung jawab ekologis; dan (3) Psikomotor, melalui aksi nyata seperti proyek literasi dan kampanye keberlanjutan. Strategi pembelajaran meliputi Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), dan pendekatan kolaboratif reflektif yang terintegrasi dalam proyek kokurikuler bertema Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan. Integrasi ini terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, kesadaran ekologis, dan partisipasi siswa dalam aksi lingkungan. Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis ekoliterasi efektif menumbuhkan literasi ekologis siswa dan mendukung implementasi pendidikan berkelanjutan di sekolah.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan suatu lambang bunyi yang bersifat arbitrer dan konvensional yang mempunyai arti lain yaitu bebas dan umum, dengan demikian fungsi bahasa merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk saling berkomunikasi antara penutur dan mitra tutur. Setiap daerah mempunyai ragam dialek yang berbeda-beda sehingga bahasa banyak ragamnya, pada penelitian ini berfokus kepada unsur kebahasaan yang ada dalam film Preman Pensiun dengan berfokus kepada jenis tindak tutur tertentu yang di kelompokan kemudian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara pengumpulan data teknik simak, catat, analisis. Penelitian ini akan mengkaji dengan tiga aspek jenis tindak tutur yaitu perlokusi, direktif, ekspresif pada tuturan tokoh utama dan tokoh pembantu, hasil pada penelitian ini di temukan beberapa tindak tutur kang Mus, kang ujang, dan kang pipit yang mengandung unsur tindak tuturan baik perlokusi, direktif, dan ekspresif. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu peneliti ingin membahas lebih jauh aspek kebahasaan dan akting atau ekspresi tokoh yang berkaitan dengan tindakan tutur ekspresif yang di tuturkan oleh tokoh utama Preman Pensiun dan tokoh pembantu dan mencari maksud dari setiap tindakan dan tuturan yang di tuturkan, data pada penelitian ini merupakan data yang valid karena data yang di ambil adalah bukti tuturan yang ada pada film Preman Pensiun

Abstract

Novel Syahadat dari Negeri Sutra karya Fitri Nurhati ada adegan dimana setelah kehilangan suami dan mengalami depresi berat, Xiao Tian mulai menghargai hidupnya setelah dia gagal bunuh diri. Target khusus dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam kepada pembaca tentang nilai – nilai moral dalam novel Syahadat dari Negeri Sutra karya Fitri Nurhati. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Selain itu penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif merupakan prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang dapat di analisis dan ditelaah oleh peneliti untuk memperoleh data yang sesuai. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat nilai moral positif yang dapat ditiru, beberapa diantaranya mengenai kesabaran dalam menghadapi cobaan hidup dan berpikir terlebih dahulu sebelum bertidak ketika ingin mengambil keputusan. Peneliti berharap dengan adanya penelitian ini pembaca dapat menerpakan nilai moral positif dalam kehidupan sehari – hari dan nilai moral negatif  bisa dijadikan pembelajaran dalam kehidupan sehari – hari.

Abstract

Communication issues between educators and students in classroom management pose challenges, especially when balancing motivation and discipline. This study aims to investigate patterns of teacher reprimand and supportive communication in classroom interactions simultaneously and understand how communication dynamics affect student learning. A qualitative design with a descriptive approach involved teachers and students in the research project across three secondary schools in Purbalingga, meeting diverse classroom criteria. Data collection methods included documentation, field notes, direct observation, and interviews organized during the academic year of the three-phase systematic research. Thematic analysis was used to examine the data. Results showed that the proportional ratio between reprimand and support depended on class characteristics. Thus, disciplined classes showed a ratio of 1:2; conducive streams were closer to 1:1.5, and even "less controlled" conducive classes relied on reprimands (1:1.5). Direct reprimands proved more effective in crises, while verbal support increased student motivation, especially for students with low participation. Regression analysis revealed a significant positive correlation of 0.6 between support and student motivation and a weak negative correlation of -0.3 for reprimands. Thus, teacher training based on these abilities is indispensable in educational practice.

Abstract

The current environmental crisis is an important issue that is the focus of research globally, including in Indonesia. Therefore, this research is an effort to explore trends in environmentally sound literary research in Indonesia. The research process was carried out by combining statistical data combined with descriptive analysis. Therefore, mixed-method research methods are considered appropriate to use.  Research data is a source of literary ecology research trends taken from the Google Scholar database. The data source is Google Scholar. Data retrieval using the Publish or Perish app. The data is taken by entering the keyword "literary ecology" in the Google Scholar database drop-down menu. Once the data is retrieved, it is then analyzed using the Vosviewer application. Vosviewer analysis can display research trends, research topic relationships, research developments from year to year, and various research information, in accordance with the research focus based on data inputted in the application The results of the study show that literary ecology research in Indonesia has only developed in at least the last five years. In quantity, the amount of literary ecology research in Indonesia is increasing. In terms of the quantity of types of relationships with various other scientific terminology, the number is still small. Meanwhile, in terms of research trends with literary ecology research topics have shown progress that continues to develop by involving other sciences. This is certainly a good development in scientific debate, because the issue of environmental crisis discussed through literary ecology involves various other scientific fields for the purpose of solving environmental problems globally. An important implication of this research is that information about literary ecology research trends in Indonesia can be an important source of knowledge to see the efforts of the Indonesian people in their participation in dealing with global environmental problems. Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of anger through speech and emotional expression displayed by Nikita Mirzani in the Hotman Paris Show in 2019 with a psycholinguistic review. This phenomenon is interesting to study because it shows how language plays a role not only as a means of communication, but also as a medium of complex psychological expression. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data sources in the form of video recordings of events that show emotional interactions between Nikita Mirzani and Elza Syarief. The data analyzed included verbal speech and nonverbal expressions, such as intonation, gestures, and facial expressions, with the analysis of Miles and Huberman’s interactive models. Jakobson’s theory of language function and Plutchik’s theory of emotion are used as interpretive bases for relating linguistic and psychological dimensions in the expression of anger. The results of the study show that Nikita Mirzani’s form of anger is represented through four types of speech, namely emotive, referential, connotative, and fatis. The four forms of speech are accompanied by emotional expressions in the form of high pitches, physiological changes, and aggressive gestures. Emotive speech marks an outpouring of spontaneous emotions, referential speech shows fact-based self-defense, connotative speech expresses symbolic attacks, and fatis speech serves to maintain the continuity of interaction. The implications of this study show that anger as a psycholinguistic phenomenon is a form of multimodal communication that involves the interaction between cognitive processes, emotions, and language. Practically, the results of this research can be a reference for media practitioners, public communicators, and language educators in understanding and managing emotional expressions so that communication in public spaces remains ethical, effective, and balanced.
