Abstract

Indonesia has been experiencing rapid economic growth over the past few years, driven by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). However, with the advent of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT), SMEs must adopt and embrace new technologies to remain competitive. The changes directed scholars to study the adaptability and impact of those technologies on the organization’s efficiency; however, none has provided the roadmap for Indonesian SMEs to adopt Industry 4.0. Thus, the current research examines the preparedness of Indonesian SMEs’ adaptability to Industry 4.0 by analyzing the impact of SMEs’ capability and pillar enablers to use the internet as a prerequisite for adoption. The research uses secondary data named Sakernas with 215034 respondents. The structural equation modeling model was built based on SMEs’ capability, pillar enabler, and attitude to use the internet and was tested through computer software. The results show that both the SMEs' Capability (Number of Employees, Employee Education Level, and Revenue) and Pillar Enabler (Use of Digital Technology, Training, and Productivity) positively correlate with Internet use in communication and Promotion with a weight of 0.18 and 0.06 respectively while the P-value is below 0.001. Hence, Indonesian SMEs interested in stepping into the Industry 4.0 paradigm must eventually embrace the Internet first and then IoT to build the bridge to implement Industry 4.0.

Abstract

In the course of weekly fabric procurement from suppliers, Cahaya Sandang frequently encounters challenges in determining the optimal quantity of fabrics to be ordered. The uncertainty surrounding order quantities has led to a loss of consumer confidence for Cahaya Sandang. To address this issue, a research initiative was undertaken, focusing on the development of an information system for forecasting fabric sales at the Cahaya Sandang Store. The fabric sales forecasting system was designed using Python, incorporating various forecasting methodologies such as moving average, exponential smoothing, linear regression, Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), and Long Short Memory Term (LSTM). These designated forecasting methods are exclusively applied to predict cloth sales for the subsequent week. The determination of forecasting methods was based on the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) values derived from the existing forecasting models. The findings affirm the efficacy of the five employed methods, demonstrating a maximum error value below 10% for the prediction of Cahaya Sandang fabric sales. By implementing this fabric sales forecasting system, the decision-making process regarding fabric orders from suppliers is expected to become more streamlined and targeted.

Abstract

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a parameter often used to evaluate the health status based on someone"™s height and weight ratio. However, the current existing BMI measurement and calculation are done manually. This research aims to develop an automatic BMI measuring tool called Obesity Meter (OBEmeter), by displaying the BMI score and body weight status. OBEMeter utilizes two sensors, namely ultrasonic (HC-SR04) to measure body height and load cell (HX711) to measure body weight. The use of ultrasonic sensors (HCSR04) and load cells (HX711) provides consistent height and weight measurements under various user conditions compared to other types of sensors. The height and weight data are then processed by Arduino in which the BMI calculation algorithm is already embedded. The BMI value is then converted into five-level body weight statuses, i.e. "ceking (underweight), kurus (slim), normal, kelebihan (overweight), and obese". This instrument is equipped with buzzer as an indicator if the BMI value is within the obese category. Our approach improves the measurement and calculation process by performing body and height measurement, then displaying the BMI in very short time automatically. Experimental results show that the reading accuracy of the ultrasonic sensor and load cell sensor are above 95%. Then, test results on 15 users show that the OBEmeter can produce the BMI measurement with 95,79% accuracy, which indicates that it can be utilized as a self-assist device to monitor the user"™s health status practically.

Abstract

Digital television is a device used to capture digital TV broadcasts, this type of television uses digital modulation and compression systems to broadcast image, sound, and data signals to television sets. The need for this technology requires a device that can work to carry out the digital TV communication function. One very important communication device is the antenna. B iquad antenna is a loop antenna with a rectangular contour and is paralleled to get a smaller impedance. Wireless communication is inseparable from the existence of antenna devices. This research only focuses on analyzing signal reception on digital TV frequencies 478-694 MHz and on antenna design. This research discusses the design of a digital TV antenna with an RF amplifier and analyzes the parameters of the antenna design results and optimizes the antenna design to fit specifications. Simulation results on CST studio show that the biquad antenna has a VSWR value of 1.64, return loss of -12.26 dB, bandwidth of 114.44 MHz, gain of 9.080 dBi, and directivity of 9.253 dBi. These parameter values are obtained after performing an optimization process from previous simulations that still do not meet specifications. In the correlation of digital TV, antennas with RF amplifiers are able to capture very good signal strength and quality on each channel on the digital TV screen so that good image quality is obtained.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, the demand for super-fast internet continues to increase. FTTH (Fiber To The Home) is a solution with fiber optics that provides a direct connection to the customer's home, offering high bandwidth and stable internet speeds. This study simulates an FTTH access network using Optisystem software to evaluate network feasibility through parameters such as power link budget, rise time budget, BER, and Q-Factor. The simulation results show excellent network performance, with minimal difference between the calculation and simulation results, especially at the downstream side receiver attenuation value (Prx). All grades still meet the set eligibility standards. Testing of the rise time budget with NRZ coding shows results below the specified limits. The analysis of the eye diagram on the BER Analyzer shows excellent acceptability quality with a wide eye-height opening. The performance of the FTTH network is rated as excellent based on the results of calculations, simulations, and direct measurements in the field, although there are slight differences caused by factors such as safety margin values and attenuation of network components. In conclusion, simulations using OptiSystem are effective in measuring and ensuring the feasibility of FTTH access networks.
