Abstract

Indonesia has been experiencing rapid economic growth over the past few years, driven by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). However, with the advent of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT), SMEs must adopt and embrace new technologies to remain competitive. The changes directed scholars to study the adaptability and impact of those technologies on the organization’s efficiency; however, none has provided the roadmap for Indonesian SMEs to adopt Industry 4.0. Thus, the current research examines the preparedness of Indonesian SMEs’ adaptability to Industry 4.0 by analyzing the impact of SMEs’ capability and pillar enablers to use the internet as a prerequisite for adoption. The research uses secondary data named Sakernas with 215034 respondents. The structural equation modeling model was built based on SMEs’ capability, pillar enabler, and attitude to use the internet and was tested through computer software. The results show that both the SMEs' Capability (Number of Employees, Employee Education Level, and Revenue) and Pillar Enabler (Use of Digital Technology, Training, and Productivity) positively correlate with Internet use in communication and Promotion with a weight of 0.18 and 0.06 respectively while the P-value is below 0.001. Hence, Indonesian SMEs interested in stepping into the Industry 4.0 paradigm must eventually embrace the Internet first and then IoT to build the bridge to implement Industry 4.0.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the e-commerce sector in Indonesia has increased the demand for reliable and timely logistics services. However, challenges such as delayed pickups and deliveries continue to occur, leading to the accumulation of operational penalties. This study aims to develop a mathematical model based on the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) that addresses the complexities of modern logistics distribution. The proposed model, named HFMTVRPDPTW (Heterogeneous Fleet Multi-Trip Vehicle Routing Problem with Delivery and Pickup and Time Windows), incorporates five key elements: vehicle capacity, fleet heterogeneity, service time windows, simultaneous pickup and delivery, and multi-trip operations within a single working period. A systematic literature review of twenty-one prior studies was conducted to identify research gaps and inform the model’s development. The model is formulated using an integer linear programming (ILP) approach and aims to optimize service time accuracy while minimizing delays. The findings suggest that this model provides a more comprehensive and realistic approach to distribution challenges and offers an original contribution to the development of adaptive and efficient VRP models for logistics operations.

Abstract

The quality of an audio system is greatly influenced by the accuracy of frequency distribution, especially in the low-frequency range managed by the subwoofer. To achieve optimal separation, this study presents the design and implementation of a fourth-order active analog Linkwitz"“Riley crossover filter (LR24) for subwoofer applications. The LR24 topology was selected for its ability to provide smooth and symmetrical frequency transitions with a 24 dB/octave slope. The research covers filter and preamplifier design, component selection, and performance evaluation using pink noise. Measurements were carried out through spectrogram analysis, frequency spectrum observation, and oscilloscope testing. The resulting filter achieved a cutoff frequency of 126.8 Hz with an attenuation slope of 24 dB/octave at 249.4 Hz, effectively reducing high-frequency signals. Comparative analysis with fourth-order digital Butterworth and Bessel filters on the DBx 260 demonstrated that the proposed analog design delivers competitive performance. This work highlights that an analog LR24 filter built from basic components and general-purpose op-amps can serve as a reliable and cost-effective alternative to digital solutions in low-frequency audio processing, although its performance is still constrained by the limitations of standard op-amps compared to audio-grade devices.
