Abstract

Religious traditions are integral to character education and the preservation of cultural values. This study examines the haul (annual commemoration) of Abuya Uci in Pasar Kemis, Tangerang, as a medium for shaping religious character and preserving local cultural heritage. The annual event at Al-Istiqlaliyah Islamic Boarding School in Cilongok attracts tens of thousands of attendees, facilitating socio-religious interaction. The gap identified in this study is the lack of research on religious commemorations as tools for character education and cultural preservation. Using a library research approach, this study highlights how the haul of Kiai Uci transmits values like humility (tawadhu’), service (khidmah), love of knowledge, and social solidarity. The results suggest that the haul is more than a ritual; it serves as a hidden curriculum for character education and a strategic tool for preserving cultural heritage. It underscores the role of the kiai as a guardian of values, even posthumously.

Abstract

This study investigates what compels millennial customers in West Java to save with Rural Banks (Bank Perekonomian Rakyat). By analyzing data from nearly 200 respondents, the research isolates the comparative impact of institutional trust versus service quality on financial decision-making. The results offer a compelling strategic insight: while trust is a fundamental baseline, service quality is the dominant driver, wielding a significantly stronger influence on saving behavior. Specifically, millennials prioritize reliability and digital convenience over traditional reputation alone. Together, these two factors account for 58% of a customer's decision to save. For Rural Banks, the managerial implication is clear. To capture this demographic, institutions must evolve beyond legacy relationships and aggressively enhance digital capabilities and transparency. Long-term competitiveness relies on blending the integrity of community banking with the seamless efficiency of modern service.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, social capital, financial inclusion, and communication skills on the reach of financial institutions and their impact on the effectiveness of ultra-micro financing. The research used a quantitative survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to MSMEs in Subang Regency. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that financial literacy, social capital, financial inclusion, and communication skills simultaneously influence the reach of financial institutions. Partially, financial literacy and social capital do not influence the reach of financial institutions, while financial inclusion and communication skills do. Furthermore, this study found that the reach of financial institutions influences the effectiveness of ultra-micro financing. These findings provide insights for financing program managers and policymakers to improve program effectiveness by strengthening financial inclusion and the communication skills of MSMEs.
