Abstract

The Islamic calendar system is an important element of Islamic civilization, but its uniform implementation across the Muslim world, including Indonesia, remains a challenge. Despite Indonesia's Muslim majority, differences persist in determining the start and end of months in the Hijri calendar. Various efforts to establish a unified Islamic calendar have not yet succeeded. This study, titled "The Triple Helix Theory as a Solution for the Unification of the Hijri Calendar in Indonesia," aims to explore Muslim perceptions regarding this unification and examine the role of the government using the Triple Helix theory. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings show that 77.44% of respondents believe the unification of the Hijri calendar is necessary, while 22.6% do not. Additionally, the study reveals that the Triple Helix theory can be applied as follows: (1) The government, particularly the Ministry of Religious Affairs, should act as a regulator and facilitator; (2) Academics should provide scholarly input consistent with Islamic principles; and (3) Islamic organizations should issue fatwas that unify Muslims in Indonesia, as their decisions are highly influential within the community.

Abstract

This article examines the al-bughāt phenomenon addressed to groups accusing the Indonesian state of being a taghut government. The study garnered primary sources from siyāsah fiqh books discussing al-bughāt. The data collected was analyzed using content analysis, and the results are as follows; al-bughāt is a justified state dissident. The concept of al-bughāt was born within the framework of jināyah fiqh, so it is classified in the ḥudūd criminal provisions. Al-bughāt, in the practical level of early Islamic politics, was in a political frame so that there was no provision for sanctions. Besides, jurists position al-bughāt as the authority of the Islamic state under the political model of the khilāfah, so it is not appropriate when applied in countries that do not adhere to Islamic principles, such as Indonesia. As for certain groups that accuse Indonesia of being a taghut country, they should be more appropriately positioned as deviants who should be facilitated with guidance and counseling. However, if they commit deadly destruction and bombing, they are placed as al-muḥāribūn, whose punishment status is in the al-ḥirābah category.  Keywords: al-bughāt, al-ḥudūd, , al-muḥāribūn, jarīmah, ḥadd al-ḥirābah

Abstract

The ability to speak in Indonesian is a characteristic of a person's ability to understand Indonesian language lessons. After being observed, many students are still not confident in speaking in front of the class or explaining the concept map in a presentation, and even less active class discussions regarding questions and answers. In this case, classroom action research (CAR) provides an effort to improve students' speaking skills by applying the show and tell method by explaining, presenting concept maps, and discussing questions and answers. This study aims to inform that the application of the show and tell method improves the skills of class XI C students at SMK Komputama Majenang. This study was conducted with 2 cycles and as the subject students of class XI C with observation techniques and oral tests with quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on this, the conclusion is that the application of this method can improve speaking skills from the classical 75% passing percentage to 81%. In applying for the show and tell method, the learning steps are the procedures for implementing the show and tell method by the teacher and students. Students provide explanations with instructions in the form of pictures, photos, personal objects, etc. The teacher encourages students to actively discuss the material from the concept map that the teacher provides, encouraging students to ask and answer.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Arabic curriculum model at the Markaz Arabiyah Center Foundation, Pare, Kediri. In this study, researchers used a qualitative research approach with field research methods. The subjects of this study are all lecturers and students in this institution, where researchers present data obtained from observations and interviews described by data sources. This research data is from educational institutions, community environments, and community organizations. The qualitative research approach aims to understand the meaning of conditions and situations in people's social interactions. Researchers must be directly involved to understand these conditions and phenomena. Data from this study cannot be obtained by just one field entry but must be broad in observing events that occur in the field. The data collection methods in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. While data analysis is carried out using the analysis theory proposed by Miles and Huberman, starting with data reduction, then data presentation, and finally, concluding. The result of this study is that there are at least four curriculum modules in this institution. First, The grammar curriculum, which is the Arabic learning curriculum, is classified according to grammar subjects. Second, the Situational approach to Arabic is taught according to the student's situation. Third, the Functional approach is learning according to a general function before teaching others. Fourth, Multidimensional approach, namely teaching Arabic in terms of linguistics, communication, and cultural aspects. All modules of this curriculum are integrated into the Arabia Center curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sinkretisme nilai ekonomi tradisional Jawa yang diimplementasikan oleh masyarakat Desa Ngadi dalam aktivitas ekonomi sehari-hari. Praktik ekonomi masyarakat setempat tidak hanya menekankan aspek material, tetapi juga integrasi nilai moral, etika, dan solidaritas sosial, sehingga mencerminkan keseimbangan antara kepentingan individu dan kemaslahatan kolektif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana prinsip-prinsip ekonomi Jawa, seperti kehati-hatian, kerja keras, kesederhanaan, dan rasa gotong royong, dapat selaras dengan prinsip etika ekonomi universal, termasuk keadilan, integritas, dan keberlanjutan. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan maqashid syariah dan etnografi. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola integrasi nilai luhur Jawa ke dalam praktik ekonomi sehari-hari dan keterkaitannya dengan teori etika ekonomi modern, termasuk konsep ekonomi berkelanjutan seperti doughnut economics Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekonomi Jawa mampu menciptakan sistem ekonomi yang berorientasi pada kesejahteraan sosial dan spiritual sekaligus mengedepankan prinsip rasionalitas ekonomi. Praktik ekonomi berbasis kearifan lokal, seperti Paron, Bawon, dan tradisi menabung, mendorong solidaritas sosial, distribusi adil, serta pengelolaan sumber daya secara berkelanjutan. Nilai-nilai lokal ini tidak hanya memperkuat kohesi sosial, tetapi juga menunjukkan kompatibilitas dengan prinsip etika ekonomi global. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi antara tradisi lokal dan prinsip moral universal dapat menjadi alternatif model pembangunan ekonomi yang adil, berkelanjutan, dan berbasis masyarakat
