Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted on April 07th-May 17st, 2019 in the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The aimof this study is to determine the effect of the best dose of probiotic addition of feed on the growth of baung. The container of this research used a 60x40x40 cm 3 aquarium with 20 aquariums with a stocking density of 15 prawns/aquarium. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor of five treatment levels and four replications. Each treatment was given the addition of probiotic as much as P1 (0 ml/kg), P2 (15 ml/kg), P3 (20 ml/kg), P4 (25 ml/kg), and P5 (30 ml/kg) feed. The results of the research showed that the best treatment was found in P3 (20 ml/kg) feed resulting in absolute weight growth of 5,16 g, specific growth rate of 2.64 g, growth absolute length of 3,27 cm,feed efficiency of 74,42%and survival rate of 91,66%.Keywords : Hemibagrusnemurus, Probiotic, Growth

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted in December 2018 - January 2019 for 30 days at the National Broodstock Center For Shrimp and Mollusk Karangasem Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of probiotic on the growth and survival rate of vanamei shrimp (Litopeneausvannamei). Vanamei shrimp size PL25 were used in the research. The container used fiber tub with capacity 250 liters and the volume of water used is 100 liters. The treatment is probiotic, 1 ml/L, 2 ml/L, 4 ml/Land added the control treatment 0 ml/L. This research uses a completely randomized design (CRD), 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the best treatment was P2 (2 ml/L) with the addition of probioticof 2ml/L the absolute length of 6.49 cm, the absolute growth weight of 10.29 grams, Specipic growth rate of 13.33% and survival rate of 98%. Keywords: Probiotic, Vannamei shrimp, survival rate

Abstract

 ABSTRACT          This research was conducted from February to April 2019, for 45 days in Breeding Laboratory Unit of Fisheries Faculty and Marine Sciences,University of Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to determine the optimal amount of stocking density in the maintenance of baung fish that was maintained with an aquaponic recirculation system and the addition of probiotics to the feed. The method used in this research was an experimental method with a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications, so that 15 experimental units were needed.The stocking density of baung used in this research is as follows: P1) 400 head/m3; P2) 500 head/m3; P3) 600 head/m3; P4) 700 head/m3; P5) 800 head/m3. The best treatment was obtained from P3, with a stocking density of 600 head/m3with absolute weight value of 6.18 g, absolute length of 4.89 cm, specific growth rate of 3.47, feed efficiency 98.91% and survival rate 93.06% . Water quality during the research was temperature 26-280C, pH 6.0-7.3, dissolved oxygen 4.3-7.0 mg/L and ammonia 0.01-0.21 mg/L. Keyword: Hemibagrus nemurus, Stocking density, Aquaponic recirculation, Probiotic

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect different of temperature on growth and survival rateof Kryptopterus lais.This research was conducted at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau, on march to may, 2018. The trial fish used in this research was Kryptopterus lais.The experimental design used was completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replicateswith four treatment temperature25oC, 27oC, 29oC, 31oC, and 33oC. Analysis was performed on specific growth rate weigh, ansolute growth, specific growth rate and survival rate. The results showed that the specific growth rate weigh (34,22 ± 0,22e), ansolute growth (5,75 ± 0,29c), specific growth rate(7,12 ± 0,03d) and survival rate (92,50 ± 2,89b) is highest in treatment temperature29oC.Temperature effect in treatment of 29oC had significant effect on specific growth rate weigh, ansolute growth, specific growth rate and survival rate(p < 0.05).  it can be concluded that the optimum temperatureimproved specific growth rate weigh, ansolute growth, specific growth rate and survival rate.

Abstract

                      ABSTRACKThe objective of study was to determine the effect of addition of probiotics in the feed with different dosage on the growth and survival rate of baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus) in aquaponic system. This research was conducted from August–October 2020 at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, University of Riau. The container used is a bucket with a diameter of 60 cm and a height of 45 cm as many as 15 units with a stocking density of 42 fish / container.This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) method with five treatment levels and three replications.The level of treatment applied in the study was P0 = without the addition of probiotics (Control), P1 = addition of probiotics at a dose of 150 mL / kg of fish meal, P2 = addition of probiotics at a dose of 300 mL / kg of fish meal, P3 = addition of probiotics with a dose of 450 mL / gk of fish meal and P4 = addition of probiotics at a dose of 600 mL/ kg of fish meal.The best treatment was found in the addition of probiotics at a dose of 450 mL/kg of fish meal which produced protease enzyme activity 0.0929 IU/mL, absolute growth weight 7.95 grams, absolute growth length 4.80 cm,  specific growth rate 3.02%, feed efficiency 67.61%, feed conversion 1.48%, and survival rate 93.65%.Keywords : Probiotics, Aquaponic, Hemibagrus nemurus

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to identify the pollutant sources location, analyze pollution load and pollution load carrying capacity of BOD (Biologycal Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) and TSS (Total Suspended Solid) concentrations; The QUAL2Kw methods application for modeling process of the main river were divided into nine reach, where Sibayang River (kilometre 86,629) as the headwater and Mentulik village as the downstream boundaries (km 0). The water samples where selected at ten points, with five of them are located at the main river and the rest of five at the tributaries. The modeling used water quality data on pollutant sources as input and the main river water quality data as a comparison.Based on the results of the study, total pollution load of BOD are 4,83 Tons/hour and total pollution load carrying capacity of BOD are 2,65 Tons/hour, it means a pollution load carrying capacity for BOD has been exceeded for 2,18 Tons/hour. The total pollution load of COD are 8,16 Tons/hour and total pollution load carrying capacity of COD are 8,45 Tons/hour, it means a pollution load carrying capacity for COD has not been exceeded and the main river still capable to recieve the pollution load of COD for 0,29 Tons/hour. Total pollution load of TSS are 55,90 Tons/hour and total pollution load carrying capacity of TSS are 12,45 Tons/hour, it means a pollution load carrying capacity for TSS has been exceeded for 43,45 Tons/hour. Generally total pollution load carrying capacity of BOD and TSS has been exceeded, and a total pollution load carrying capacity for COD has not been exceeded, nevertheless if review is based on river reach, an excessing of BOD pollution load has been occurred at km 18 - 1 for 1, 37 Tons/hour, COD pollution load for 2, 38 Tons/hour at km 45 - 40 and TSS pollution load for 32, 54 Tons/hour in the Teso River

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted at Technology Aquaculture Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, University of Riau. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of water filter system that can improve water quality parameters in tilapia fish aquaculture. The research method was experiment with three treatments and three replications. Recirculation system using (P1) coral reef, graves, sand and fiber of palm tree, where a thickness of each filter material was 3 cm. While the recirculation system using aquaponic system (P2) using water spinach and P0 recirculation system using sponge. Treatment of P1 gave the best results of water quality, temperature 25-29 ° C, pH 5-7, DO 4.1-5.3 mg/L, CO2 5.40- 8.90 mg/L, ammonia (NH3) from 0.10- 0.60 mg/L, the average absolute growth rate of 4.50 g, the average length of 7.29 cm and survival rate 100 %. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Juli - Agustus 2019, bertempat di Laboratorium Teknologi Budidaya Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan, Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan bubuk axtasanthin dalam pakan buatan terhadap peningkatan kualitas warna ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) serta mendapatkan dosis tepung astaxanthin terbaik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Dosis astaxanthin dalam perlakuan adalah: 0% tepung astaxanthin, 1% tepung astaxanthin, 3% tepung astaxanthin, 6% tepung astaxanthin. Ikan yang digunakan berukuran 3-5cm dengan padat tebar 10 ekor per aquarium. Pemeliharaan berlangsung selama 30 hari dan pakan diberikan sebanyak 3% dari bobot biomassa, frekuensi pemberian pakan 3 kali sehari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi warna ikan, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak dan bobot mutlak, tingkat kelulushidupan dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian tepung astaxanthin berpengaruh nyata terhadap perubahan kualitas warna ikan koi. Hasil terbaik pada penelitian ini pada perlakuan dosis 6% tepung astaxanthin diperoleh bobot mutlak 3,64 g dan panjang mutlak 0,7 cm, kecerahan warna dengan skor 5,7.

Abstract

Belut (Monopterus albus) adalah komoditas perikanan air tawar yang bernilai ekonomi cukup tinggi, permintaan pasar yang tinggi namun ketersediaannya di alam mulai sulit ditemukan maka perlu melakukan  peningkatan produksinya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah intensifikasi budidaya belut dengan sistem bioflok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan dosis probiotik terbaik yang ditambahkan ke media pemeliharaan, dalam meningkatkan volume flok, pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan belut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni hingga Juli 2020, bertempat di UPT Kolam Percobaan Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan Universitas Riau. Hewan uji yang digunakan adalah belut yang berukuran 10-15 cm dengan lama pemeliharaan 40 hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yang terdiri dari lima taraf perlakuan dengan tiga kali ulangan sehingga diperlukan 15 unit percobaan Taraf perlakuan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebagai berikut:  P0 (Tanpa diberi probiotik boster sel multi  0 ml/L air), P1 (Dosis probiotik boster sel multi  0,6 mL/L air), P2 (0,9 mL/L air), P3 (1,2 mL/L air) dan P4 (1,5 mL/L air). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian probiotik pada media pemeliharaan belut memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelulushidupan belut. Dosis 0,9 mL/L memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bobot multak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, panjang mutlak, tingkat kelulushidupan masing masing sebesar 18,91 g, 3,59%, 15,53 cm, dan 75,55%. Selanjutnya kualitas air selama penelitian masih dapat ditoleransi oleh belut, seperti suhu berkisar antara 26-30oC, pH 5-7, DO 6,0-7,4 mg/L, dan NH3 0,00001-0,0005 mg/L.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik dengan dosis berbeda pada media pemeliharaan terhadap pertumbuhan ikan patin (Pangasianodon hypophtalmus) dengan system resirkulasi akuaponik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan November – Desember 2020 di Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan, Universitas Riau. Wadah yang digunakan adalah ember dengan diameter 60 cm dan tinggi 45 cm sebanyak 15 unit dengan padat tebar 50 ekor/ wadah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan lima taraf perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Taraf perlakuan yang diterapkan pada penelitian adalah P0 = Tanpa penambahan probiotik (Kontrol), P1 = Penambahan probiotik dengan dosis 0,15 mL/L air, P2 = Penambahan probiotik dengan dosis 0,25 mL/L air, P3 = Penambahan probiotik dengan dosis 0,35 mL/L air dan P4 = Penambahan probiotik dengan dosis 0,45 mL/L air. Perlakuan terbaik dijumpai pada dosis probiotik 0,45 mL/L air yang menghasilkan bobot mutlak 10,50 g, panjang mutlak 9,58 cm, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 2,84%, konversi pakan 1,38%, dan tingkat kelulushidupan 94,67%.
