Abstract

The study describes the intrapersonal leadership in a variety of organizational metaphors. The purpose of this study provides a conceptual constructs about intrapersonal leadership and the importance of intrapersonal leadership within the organization in a variety of perspectives. There are five metaphors, those are organisms, population ecology, transactional and power, the engine and psychological shackles. Recently studies have highlighted the importance of intrapersonal leadership in integrative view of the above five metaphors. This study provides the conceptual basis intrapersonal leadership and organizational implications of the hypothetical.

Abstract

Research undertaken in this thesis is to answer: how management system and strategy applied by TVRI up to now perform. On the basis of this research this study develops an appropriate strategy map on the basis of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model. Selection of Balanced Scorecard model as an analytical tool is believed that the BSC model contains a comprehensive and coherent management concept. It is comprehensive because it keeps a balance between finanacial perspective / financial performance and non-financial perspective (such as customer perspective, internal business perspective, learning and growth perspective). It is coherent because a performance in one perspective or in other perspectives will influence each others. With clear measuring base for those programs and targets achieved of each perspective, it has made Balanced Scorecard become an accurate measure of performance. In its development, balanced Scorecard has also become an easy working model for the management to communicate strategy and implementing vision and mission into stratetegic and measureable programs. From the research findings, it has been known that each perspective of TVRI’s performance is very weak. In such a manner the strategy is sporadically applied, as just to overcome the existing problem. Less integrated and has no long-term dimension.Therefore, it is needed to have a comprehensive strategy map who easy to be implemented. The strategy map is made based on capacity and in accordance with the organization’s internal and external environment. It is therefore sound to assume that developing a strategy based upon balanced scorecard is very relevant.

Abstract

Nowadays, a new paradigm emerges which points out the role of an auditor is no longer considered as watch dog to cause fear among auditees. Here, the auditor is taking the role of consultant and catalyst. In term of competence, an auditor can also propose the role of witness or expert witness on a trial. Audit report can be used as a dossiers material in a criminal proceeding by police, district attorney, or court. It proves that audit report is legal evidence that supports a cases completion. At this point, audit report should reflect its auditors competence in which his or her performance will be tested on the court. Auditor, as a profession, is like two sides of a coin. In one sense, auditor is expected to create good public governance. On the other hand, there are risks to deal with, such as, auditee’s pressure, weaponry threat, and psychological threat. There is also ‘less harmful’ threat namely bribery in form of table money or transportation fee. However, these types of threat should not influence the auditors independence in making decision. In addition, there is still so called political influence that may affect the auditors independence. This research aims to analyze the effect of organizational competence, independence, and commitment to auditors performance. Sample of the research was 87 respondents from Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of Yogyakarta Special Province. In answering the researchs hypothesis, the researcher used multiple linear regression analysis, preceded by hypotheses testing. The result shows that competence and independence have significant roles in auditors performance. Additionally, affective and normative commitments give influence to auditors performance. However, continuance commitment does not influence the auditors performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this library study is to establish model and propositions that explain intention to be entrepreneur based on information technology (IT). Based on modification of TPB (theory of planned behavior) and TAM (technology acceptance model), this research constructed model intention to be entrepreneur based on information technology. The results produce six propositions that explained antecedents attitude, risk perception, subjective norms and consequences all of these variables.

Abstract

An employee whose has a good performance can help the organization in achieving its intended purpose organizations lead to improvements in public services. Performance of employees, especially in the Civil Registry Office has become problems being discussed by the public (citizen of Tanah Bumbu district) because it concerns on the public service. Based on the phenomenon that occurs low performance caused by the effect of compensation justice such as Distributive Compensation Justice, Procedural Compensation Justice and job satisfaction.The object of this study is Civil Registry Office in Tanah Bumbu and the subjects are all of the employees whose work in the Civil Registry Office in Tanah Bumbu. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis approach. The data were collected through observation, questionnaire and interview, then the data was analyze using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by using smart software Partial Least Squares (PLS).The results of the study showed that Distributive Compensation Justice and Procedural Compensation Justice had a significant influence on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction, Distributive Compensation Justice and Procedural Compensation Justice also had a significant influence on employees’ performance. According to the research results above, it is suggested to the Civil Registry Office of  Tanah Bumbu, in order to improve the performance of the employees especially on the variable of  Distributive Compensation Justice and Job satisfaction by implementing wage distribution and promotion system which is fair and transparent to the employees so they are satisfied and it can create better performance of the employees.

Abstract

This study is short review and critical note of author on the article integrating HR planning and organizational strategy written Simon S.K. Lam & John Schaubroeck (1998). The author has discussed and written critical note related concepts, practices and methods on their article. Note in this article explained that the integration of human resources planning and organizational strategy play an important role in explaining organizational performance, but contextual aspects should be considered.

Abstract

Social Capital is a broad concept and often defined ambiguously. A number of literatures indicate that social capital can be seen at various levels of analysis, either at macro, organizational, group or individual level. This study sees that social capital is a concept that becomes an individual property. The purpose of this study was to operationalize social capital into dimensions and indicators at the level of individual analysis. This study starts from a literature study followed by a focus group discussion involving four graduate master of science in Organizational Psychology. The next stage is to test the instruments to the field by involving employees. The results show that social capital includes 3 dimensions (structural, relational and cognitive) and 12 core indicators.

Abstract

Pembelajaran komunikasi terapeutik keperawatan jiwa lebih banyak dilakukan dengan metode demonstrasi melalui pembimbing. Hasil pembelajaran kurang optimal karena ketidaksamaan penyampaian oleh pembimbing yang satu dengan yang lain. Pengembangan pembelajaran skill laboratory dengan metode video diharapkan meminimalkan masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Quasy Eksperiment dan rancangan one group pretest-posttest with control group design dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan metode pembelajaran skill laboratory dengan menggunakan video terhadap peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi terapeutik pada mata kuliah keperawatan jiwa di STIKes Karya Husada Semarang. Jumlah sampel 75 mahasiswa yang terbagi menjadi 38 mahasiswa kelompok intervensi dan 37 mahasiswa kelompok kontrol. Kelompok intervensi dibagi 2 kelas dan mendapat perlakuan dengan metode video. Kelompok kontrol juga dibagi 2 kelas dan mendapat perlakuan dengan metode demonstrasi oleh 2 orang pembimbing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya meningkatan pada kedua kelompok. Kelompok intervensi meningkat dari 33-34 persen menjadi 67-68 persen, sedangkan kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 33-34 persen menjadi 63-64 persen. Selisih peningkatan kedua kelompok hanya sekitar 4 persen. Keterampilan kedua kelas dalam kelompok intrervensi cenderung sama, sedangkan keteramppilan kedua kelas kelompok kontrol cenderung berbeda. Kesimpulan penelituian ini adalah media video efektif untuk pembelajaran keterampilan komunikasi terapeutik di skill laboratory dan konsisten. Penggunaan media video perlu dikombinasikan dengan metode lain agar lebih optimal.

Abstract

Islamic work ethic is very important in improving the quality of human resources at the boarding schools in Banten. A lot of researches on ethics of Islam have been conducted, but still rarely carried out with the object of study in Islamic educational institutions. This study intends to reexamine the role of Islam in influencing the work ethic of intrinsic motivation, job satisfaction and its impact toward organizational commitment. The population in this study is all teachers who work at the boarding schools in Banten. 245 teachers gave answers to this research. Data were analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The analysis showed five accepted hypothesis and one hypothesis is rejected, that is a negative influence and insignificant between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The limitations and suggestions for future research are discussed in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh keadilan distributif karir dan keadilan prosedural karir pada komitmen afektif. Penelitian ini juga menguji apakah kepuasan karir berperan sebagai variabel mediasi antara pengaruh keadilan distributif karir dan prosedural karir pada komitmen afektif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan dengan tingkat pendidikan S1 yang bekerja di sejumlah kantor di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Dengan teknik convenience sampling diperoleh responden sejumlah 200 karyawan dan data yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 188. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SEM (Structural Equation Mo-deling) yang dioperasikan melalui program AMOS 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keadilan distributif karir dan keadilan prosedural berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan karir. Demikian pula kepuasan karir berpengaruh positif signifikan pada komitmen afektif. Temuan lainnya menunjukkan pengaruh langsung keadilan dis-tributif karir dan keadilan prosedural karir pada komitmen afektif tidak signifikan. Te-muan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan karir berperan sebagai variabel mediasi pengaruh keadilan distributif karir dan keadilan prosedural karir pada komitmen afektif.
