Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of promotion and brand image of consumer' decision to buy drinks at Blu Bar de Vins Sky Hotel Seminyak, Bali since tight competation arise among providers to attract costumers. The study stated five problems such as partial impact of promotion and brand image, simultaneously impact of these variables, the stonger variable in impacting consumer' decision and the amount of these variables impact. The population in this study were consumers of Blu Bar de Vins Sky Hotel Seminyak, Bali with a total sample of 90 respondens. Data collected by questioner, interview and documentation then analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of analysis, there are five conclusions, such as (a) Promotion had positive and significant impact to consumer' decision to buy drinks at Blu Bar; (b) Brand image had positive and significant impact of consumer' decision to buy drinks at Blu Bar; (c) Promotion and brand image simultaneously had positive and significant impact to consumer’ decisions in buying drinks at Blu Bar; (d) Brand image brings more impact in influencing consumer decisions to buy drinks at Blu Bar; and (e) Promotion and brand image bring 77,4 % impact to consumer' decision to buy drinks at Blu Bar de Vins Sky Hotel Seminyak, Bali de Vins Sky Hotel Seminyak, Bali. Thus, the rest 23,6 % could be influenced by other factors such are prize and location which are not studied in this research.

Abstract

Museum Subak Tabanan is one regional museum which is held by Dinas Kebudayaan Kabupaten Tabanan since Tabanan has the widest rice field in Bali that cultivate in traditional irrigation system called ‘Subak’. In this Museum, agricultural devices are kept and displayed, but it’s almost forgotten since the pandemi covid 19 known from number of its visitor become low. So here is needed a study to identify the potency as well as strategy to attract more visitor to Museum Subak Tabanan in order this museum can fulfill its function such as keep the artefacts, provide information and educate young generation. Main data is collected by interviewing the management, while supporting data is taken by observation and documentation study is. Data analized by SWOT analysis to find out the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat which later showed four strategies, named strategy SO, ST, WO, WT. The research found out two conclusions: (a) Museum Subak Tabanan has potency to develop such as collection, miniature, film documenter to display in audio visual room, and (b) strategy to be hold to attact more visitors such as create supporting attraction, build MoU with school or other institution, evaluate maintenance and storing system, promotion, and digitalization if possible. It is believed, with its strength and opportunity, it can invite visitor more. The research found out recommendation for the management to optimalize the museum as the suitable place for conservation and source of information needed by young generation who never see those collection in their life. For that reason, dusting and regular maintenance is necessary as well as supporting facilities, safety, and create more promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online English learning during the Covid-19 pandemic at Triatma Mulya University, Badung. It is hoped that this research can provide an overview of the actual situation regarding the learning process that is carried out using online system. With different learning conditions and situations from face-to-face, whether the objectives of learning English are achieved as desired by educators and students or vice versa. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The data or information obtained by the researcher shows that the process of learning English using the online system is quite effective, although in practice there are obstacles from various reasons. But even so, lecturers try to anticipate the obstacles that occur by always evaluating learning by asking questions directly or giving assignments to students. From the results of the daily evaluation, UTS, and UAS researchers found that lecturers and students achieved what they wanted to achieve in learning result of the daily evaluation, UTS, UAS. researchers found that lecturers and students achieved what they wanted to achieve in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the existing tourist attractions in Sindhu Beach, starting from the internal aspects (strengths and weaknesses) and external aspects (opportunities and threats) and then formulates directions for optimizing the attractiveness of eco-marine tourism in an appropriate planning and strategy for Sindhu Beach to be an alternative to artificial nature tourism in Sanur Village. The method used is qualitative observational technic with SWOT Analysis to find out relevant strategies. From the analysis it can be seen that the general condition such as attractions, amenities, accessibility and additional services at Sindhu Beach.Eco Bahari is not well-developed yet. But the potency is still open wide to be eco-marine tourism spot based on internal and external factor especially the attraction side. Then the strategies that might be applied are (1) attractions optimalisation with turtle preservation nearby to educate visitors of environmental caring, (2) sharing information to local community about the eco-marine potency to add more beach value for people around, and (3) promote the beauty of Sindhu beach in social media so everybody know it well and attract them to visit it then

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation and perceptions of tourists visiting the tourist attraction of Penimbangan Beach in Buleleng Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. In this study, data collection was carried out by observation, interviews with resource persons, and distributing questionnaires to 55 tourists using incidental sampling technique in which 31 statements down. The questionnaire given consists of thirteen statements regarding tourist motivation which refers to the theory of push and pull motivation. These push factors and pull factors are actually internal and external factors that motivate tourists to make decisions to travel, as well as eighteen statements regarding tourist perceptions that refer to the Tourism Destination Attributes theory (4A), namely attraction, amenities, accessibility and ancillary services. The research found out 2 conclusions, such as (a) aspect of push and pull motivations that get the highest score are because visitors want to do recreation while swimming and to visit modern spot as well as contemporary hangouts. (b) Meanwhile, the perception of tourists on the attributes of tourist destinations (4A) in the tourist attraction of Penimbangan Beach in Buleleng Regency is that Penimbangan Beach is one of the unique tourist attractions, equipped with adequate facilities, very easy access to achieve, but not yet supported by sources of information and organization but still incomplete tourist attraction management.

Abstract

This research take on focus the Speaking ability on producing sentences with schedule text as the basic material on first semester students on hospitality program. Research showed that effort to improve students’ speaking skill which is based on productivity can be used schedule text as the trigger. The steps can be divided into 3 such as introducing relevant vocabulary where vocabulary showed in matching column in similar number, inserting small text which support the topic and the core activity is producing sentences. The sentences produced are classified into 3 groups according to how tight the dependency to the text provided. The research found out that (a) all students produce minimal 5 sentences and even far more. No students left in achieve this type of sentences. The sentences are produces by linked information on a certain line. (b) A number of students faced it difficult to produce sentences type 2 since it needs more focus in comparing data from the schedule text. Only 85% student got it easy while the others need more time to produce one. The sentences here produced by doing comparison or linking between lines information. (c) For group 3 where sentences need knowledge background to support it is achieved by 55% students. Here, sentences produced by implementing intratext which means another text must be there so the sentences become larger or deeper than the data on schedule text itself. It seemed that not each student has enough knowledge about airlines or small text which is provided before the core activity is neglected. Lack of knowledge or effort made it difficult for some students, but still very essay for others. They can produce many sentences in this group in a minute. From the results, it is suggested for students to do reading activity on interesting topic or article supporting the learning process.

Abstract

The reseach is held in The Samsara Living Museum in Jungutan Village, Bebandem Distict, Karangasem regency which displays the cycle of Balinese life starting from the fetus in the womb, born, alive, die and cremation. Unfortunately, the collection to display is very limited compared to other museums around. The research followed qualitative approach whereas data collected by observation and interview with informan. Finally, this research found out two conclusions such as (a) The name of Samsara is taken from the phase of reborn and ready to begin another cycle after previous life. Based on this principle, human is suggested to live with care and love but avoid himself to do bad things because the world imply cause-result effect; (b) Realizing the display is limited compared to museum in general, narrative skill is a way to attract more visitors to come. Since it is cultural-based museum, some visitors not knowing well the ritual on display. Here, the guide explained them carefully through suggestive-narrative where the explanation leads listeners to fell involved in the activity and added another meaning, that is cultural meaning. It is delivered slowly to convince visitors so that limited display does not a problem at all.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pinge Tourism Village which is one of the Tourism Villages in Tabanan Regency, determined based on the decision of the Tabanan Regent No. 337 of 2004 dated July 18, 2004. This research was done in aim to know the internal and external potential in Pinge Village as a tourism village (2) to find out the development strategy of Pinge Village as a tourism village. The reaserch method used descriptive qualitative methods. that are: (1) determination location of the research; (2) information selection techniques; methods of data collection (observation, interviews, document studies) and SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats), namely: using the IFAS, EFAS and SWOT matrices. The presentation technique of the results of the analysis is in the form of description by giving in detail. The internal potential contained in the results of this research consisted of: natural potential in the form of a beautiful natural atmosphere after subak irrigation, spatial planning, arts, crafts, cultural activities, religious rituals, and archaeological sites. The external potential of the results of this study consisted of adequate accessibility, support & partnerships, facilities, and the existence of POKDARWIS as a community organization in village development. With the constraints and threats encountered in the form of human resource skills that are less competent and have not participated as a whole, the lack of public facilities and support and promotional activities undertaken. This can provide a formulation of development strategies to optimize the strengths and opportunities available to overcome weaknesses and threats in development.

Abstract

The research aims to see the effect partially and simultaneously between the work environment and work stress on employee performance, as well as to see the effect of independent variables simultaneously on the dependent variable. The respondents of this study were all employees. The results of the analysis questionnaire included descriptive statistical analysis test, validity and reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, t test and f test. As well as analysis of the coefficient of determination The results show that the results of the regression analysis that partially the Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on the Performance of Employees of The Haven Suites Bali Berawa Hotel and Job Stress has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance of The Haven Suites Bali Berawa Hotels. Simultaneously the Work Environment and Work Stress have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on Employee Performance at The Haven Suites Bali Berawa. The amount of influence contributed by the work environment and stress to employee performance is 31.9% while the rest is determined by other factors which are not discussed and researched. in research

Abstract

This research discusses the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the tourism sector in Canggu, Bali, especially at Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu. This pandemic has caused a drastic drop in tourist visit rates and room occupancy rates in the area. Even the situation is low, Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu chose to continue operating by implementing a different marketing strategy to maintain its business. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy implemented by villa management in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Room occupancy rate data from March 2020 to August 2022 is used to see changes in room occupancy rates over that period. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The research showed that Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu applies a marketing mix by compiling a marketing mix to deal with the Covid - 19 pandemic in order to increase room occupancy rates. The results of this study explain that there are obstacles faced by Theanna Villa & Spa Canggu in marketing their products during the Covid - 19 pandemic.
