Abstract

Bubu is a passive fishing tool that works by trapping. Over time, a modification known as the bubu payung emerged, which is easy to obtain at an affordable price. This research was conducted in November 2023 over ten days in the waters of the Parit 18 River in Sapat Village, Kuala Indragiri District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The method used in this research was experimental fishing, employing three types of bait: malong, coconut cake, and coconut pulp. Data analysis was performed using the t-test with SPSS 27.0.1. The results showed no significant difference in the catch of malong bait, coconut cake, or coconut dregs. According to the calculations, bait comparison A t-value (malong bait and coconut cake) (0,294) < t-table (2,306), bait comparison B (malong bait and coconut dregs) t-value (0,385) <t-table (2,306), and bait comparison C (coconut cake bait and coconut dregs bait) t-value (0,081) <t-table (2,306). Therefore, bubu payung can effectively catch mangrove crabs and bycatch.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the catch of Sondong as the main information in managing fishing, the availability of data and information about the productivity of Sondong fishing gear fisheries in Selat Akar Village and with the management in the utilization of fish resources, the sustainability of Sondong fishing business can be maintained. The research method used in this research is a survey method used to obtain the necessary data directly from the research site. The results showed that the production of Sondong ship fluctuated. The results showed that the production of Sondong ship fluctuated. So that the annual production value of Sondong ship for 5 years also fluctuates. The productivity value of Sondong ships varies where the highest values in 2017 and 2019 show that the period was a good year in producing fishing using these fishing gear. The low productivity in 2018 was due to temporary weather anomalies, where weather conditions worsened which affected the success of the capture process. and the lowest was in 2020. And the results of the Trend of Sondong fishing gear production show that there is a high correlation that indicates that produce results in the next 3 years will increase and show that the initial production value of sondong fishing gear is relatively high.

Abstract

Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Port is one of the fishing ports that carry out export activities with destination countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Peru, and Ecuador. The products caught by the Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Port have not been exported to the European market due to regulations on fishery product export certification. These problems can be overcome by implementing the eco-fishing port concept at the Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Port. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the environmentally sound Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Port (ecoport) according to the ecoport standard formulation. The method used in this study is a survey method. Collecting data using a purposive sampling approach. Data analysis was carried out descriptively using standard eco-fishing port parameters which consisted of four aspects, namely the physical ecology of the port, the socio-economic impacts around the port, handling of caught commodities and monitoring of illegal fishing. The results showed that the physical and ecological aspects got a score of 2.66, the socio-economic impact aspect got a score of 2, the handling of caught commodities got a score of 2 and the illegal fishing aspect got a score of 3. The ecoport index analysis got a score of 2.5 which means that the Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Port has been can be called an ecoport.

Abstract

The Air Bangis fish landing base is the only fish landing base in Sungai Beremas District, Pasan Barat Regency, and is classified as a type D fishing port. The imbalance between dense fishing activities and limited available facilities results in suboptimal fishing activities. This research was conducted using a survey method in May-June 2024 at the UPTD Regional II Air Bangis Fishing Port, West Sumatra Province. Data analysis used facility needs analysis and facility utilization level analysis. The facilities available at the Air Bangis Fish Landing Base consist of basic, functional, and supporting facilities. Of the 17 existing facilities, four whose utilization levels were analyzed were facilities that significantly influenced capture fisheries activities and were considered suboptimal in supporting dense fishing activities, namely land, docks, depth and area of port ponds, and TPI. The level of facility utilization obtained a value ranging from 17 to 61%, consisting of 2 facilities that have a level of utilization exceeding the capacity of the available facilities so that they are included in the category of not optimal, namely the dock and harbor pool. In contrast, the TPI's utilization level does not exceed the available capacity; facilities that are not used are the ice factory, cold storage, and fuel tanks

Abstract

This study was conducted in January 2023 at the Bungus Ocean Fishing Port to determine the achievements of operational performance and problems faced by operational activities and to what extent the Bungus PPS has implemented the level of operational performance of the Bungus Ocean Fishing Port over the past five years. The survey method was used in this study. The evaluation of operational performance at PPS Bungus is based on Kep-DJPT no 20/KEP-DJPT/2015, which contains four parameters and 28 sub-parameters. The results showed that operational performance's success value had run very well from 2017 to 2021, with values ranging from 86.75 to 89. However, several subparameters have low values: fisheries production, fishery product processing services at WKOPP, port land use (according to the master plan), and labor absorption. The value of fishermen's satisfaction with PPS Bungus' operational services in 2023 is 91.76%, which means it is perfect
