Abstract

Factors affecting recurrent hospitalization in patients with heart failure are non-compliance with medication, fluids, and diet. Compliance with medication, dietary and fluid restriction, and weight of the body are part of self-care management. The study aims to improve self-care management in heart failure patients. Literature reviews are used to identify articles through Scopus, ProQuest, PubMed, and CINAHL databases. The inclusion criteria are open access, in English, with full-text articles published between 2016 and 2022 with the keywords "self-regulation", "protection motivation theory" and "heart failure". A total of fifteen articles were reviewed to answer research questions. The data is analyzed by the PRISMA chart. The results of the literary study showed that there were 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria. There are eight studies that use randomized controlled trial designs; seven titles use cross-sectional designs; and one study uses qualitative designs. Results show that better self-care can improve outcomes, reduce the incidence of recurring hospitalizations, and reduce the burden of treatment for heart failure patients. Self-efficacy can also be predicted from self-care behavior. It can be concluded that self-regulation is significantly linked to self-management behavior, and self-adjustment programs are known to be effective in improving self-care behaviors in heart failure patients.

Abstract

Stunting is a major nutritional problem in Indonesia that remains unresolved. Jombang is a regency in East Java Province. The prevalence of stunting in Jombang Regency remains high, based on 2024 e-PPBGM data. Stunting itself is a nutritional problem that can be reduced. Jombang Regency has a demographic bonus, namely a high number of adolescents. Adolescents are prospective brides and grooms who can play a role in producing healthy, stunting-free future generations. The problem is that adolescents' knowledge of their role in stunting prevention is lacking. Allowing this situation to persist could impede the government's long-term goal of reducing stunting rates. The solution to address this problem is providing education to increase adolescents' knowledge about stunting and their role in stunting prevention. The educational material was generally about stunting, but there was additional material on the topic of stunting that was in accordance with the characteristics of stunting in adolescents in Jombang Regency. The implementation of activities began with seminars and training on reporting suspected stunting among adolescents. This activity can enhance adolescents' understanding of stunting and the procedures for reporting suspected cases in their local area.

Abstract

Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) require consistent self-management support, where parental involvement is crucial. However, the complexity of diabetes care often places a significant burden on families. Digital health interventions (DHIs) offer innovative ways to strengthen parental support but require further evaluation. This systematic review aims to examine the effectiveness of DHIs in optimizing parental support for adolescents managing T1DM. A systematic search was conducted across Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and ProQuest for studies published from 2015 to 2025. Following PRISMA guidelines, randomized controlled trials involving DHIs for parents of adolescents with T1DM were included. Quality was appraised using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist.Eleven studies were included, featuring DHIs such as mobile apps, web-based education, telehealth, and remote monitoring. These interventions improved parental outcomes, including increased knowledge, reduced stress, better monitoring, and greater self-efficacy. Adolescents also showed improved glycemic control, adherence, and emotional well-being.DHIs are effective in strengthening parental support and engagement in adolescent diabetes care. Integrating DHIs into family-centered nursing practice may enhance chronic illness management. Future studies should address cultural adaptations and long-term impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of aerobic exercise on blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The research method used quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach in the aerobic exercise group and the control group by measuring blood glucose levels including fasting blood glucose tests using a glucometer. The study showed that fasting blood glucose decreased on average from 155 ± 9.41 mg/dL to 144 ± 9.31 mg/dL (p < 0.001), with a range from 139–167 mg/dL to 127–155 mg/dL. These results indicate that aerobic exercise interventions can significantly lower blood glucose levels. Aerobic exercise has been shown to be effective in improving glycemic control and metabolic health in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). In conclusion, there is a significant effect of aerobic exercise on blood sugar levels in T2DM patients. Aerobic exercise significantly reduces fasting blood glucose levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.  Keywords: Aerobic Exercise, Diabetes Mellitus, Blood Glucose Levels

Z. Johannes Kupang.Method: The design of this study was cross-sectional. The sample size of the study was 143 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The dependent variable is the reporting of patient safety incidents, while the independent variables are work experience, education, perception, attitude, motivation,  leadership. Data were collected using a questionnaire and observation on nurses. Data were then analyzed using multiple logistic regression with a significant value < 0.05.Results:  The results show that there is a perception effect on patient safety incident reporting (p = 0.05) and leadership influence on patient safety incident reporting (p = 0.02).Conclusion: The concludes is that there is an influence of perception and leadership on reporting patient safety incidents. Further researchers are advised to research the effect of training on improving patient safety incident reporting.
