Abstract

Tuberculosis merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian terbanyak didunia. Penyakit ini disebabkan oleh Mycobacerium tuberculosis.Inovasi perlu dilakukan melihat potensi tuberculosis multi-drugresistant (TB MDR) yang meningkat. Molecular docking dilakukanterhadap target jalur Pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) dengan varianprotein 4MP2 dan 4MP7, senyawa aktif yang digunakan adalahturunan bawang putih (Allium sativum). . Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mencari senyawa alam yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhanMycobacterium tuberculosis. Protein dipisahkan dari residu dandiambil unique-ligand (PV1 dan TLA) dari protein tersebutmenggunakan Chimera. Perolehan binding affinity sebagaikuantifikasi interaksi antara protein-ligan dilakukan dengan PyRxmetode Vina Autodock. Visualisasi interaksi ligan-protein dihasilkandengan Protein-ligand Interaction Profiler (PLIP) danPyMol.Senyawa aktif dan ikatan ligan dengan protein adas bintangdengan 4MP2 (kaempferol), bawang putih dengan 4MP2 (quercetin),adas bintang dengan 4MP7(Benzaldoxime), dan bawang putih dengan4MP7 (Benzaldoxime) berturut-turut memiliki binding affinity sebesar-7,4; -5,9; -7,3; dan -5,8 sedangkan ligan native pada 4MP2 dan 4MP7 memiliki binding affinity -4,2 sampai -4,5. Nilai binding affinityyang paling kecil menunjukkan efektifitas sebagai anti tuberkulosis,disimpulkan bahwa dengan adanya kesamaan residu dan nilai bindingaffinity yang kecil senyawa alam dalam adas bintang lebih berpotensidibanding bawang putih, adas bintang dapat dikembangkan menjadisalah satu obat tuberculosis

Abstract

Soka flower extract (Ixora coccinea L.) is a very powerful source of natural antioxidants. Soka flower extract is formulated as a lip balm to utilize its potential as an antioxidant that can protect the lips. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of beeswax and paraffin wax bases on the physical properties of soka flower extract lip balm preparations and to obtain the best component variations. Soka flowers were extracted using maceration extraction using 96% ethanol. The lip balm preparations were made in 3 formulas with variations in the concentration of beeswax and paraffin wax bases, namely FI (5%:15%), FII (7.5%:12.5%), and FIII (10%:10%). The lip balm was evaluated for physical properties such as organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, spreadability tests, smearability tests, adhesion tests, irritation tests, and moisture tests. Data analysis was carried out using the One Way ANOVA method. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that variations in the concentration of beeswax and paraffin wax bases affected the physical properties of the preparations, including pH, adhesiveness, spreadability, and viscosity. In this study, FII (7.5% beeswax and 12.5% paraffin wax) was determined as the best formula for the soka flower extract lip balm preparation, based on consideration of the requirements and statistical tests.

Abstract

The immune system is an essential thing and needs to be maintained, this is done so that the body's immune system remains in a strong and optimal condition. A body with a good and strong immune system is very important and has a vital role in the body's defense, especially in terms of preventing various diseases, especially infectious ones, especially during the transition season. Some of the people in the Pandanarum Tirto sub-district are known to be less concerned about health, especially in maintaining their immune system. From this background, educational activities were carried out to increase public understanding in the blood about the importance of the role of multivitamins in the transition season. Education is carried out by delivering material and question and answer discussions. This community service activity is in the form of counseling with the aim of helping the community to change their lifestyle/behavior and be aware of the importance of consuming multivitamins for immunity in the transition season. With this activity, it is hoped that the public can understand the importance of taking multivitamins in the transition season and can also find out information on how to use multivitamins properly and appropriately to obtain and maximize therapy. The conclusion of this service activity is that the community becomes more aware, understands, and is interested in the importance of the benefits of multivitamins for body immunity in the transition season.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular dengan prevalensi tinggi dan menjadi penyebab utama kematian akibat penyakit kardiovaskular. Edukasi mengenai pencegahan dan pengelolaan hipertensi sejak dini sangat penting dilakukan, terutama kepada masyarakat pedesaan yang memiliki keterbatasan akses terhadap layanan kesehatan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat desa Ngadirejo, kecamatan Reban, kabupaten Batang, tentang hipertensi serta pemanfaatan jahe (Zingiber officinale) sebagai tanaman herbal tradisional yang berpotensi membantu menurunkan tekanan darah. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup penyampaian materi edukatif, diskusi interaktif, praktik pembuatan minuman herbal dari jahe, serta pemeriksaan tekanan darah secara gratis. Pengukuran efektivitas kegiatan dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pemahaman peserta, dengan lebih dari 80% peserta menjawab benar pada post-test dibandingkan hanya 20–40% pada pre-test. Peserta juga antusias dalam praktik pembuatan ramuan jahe, menunjukkan ketertarikan pada solusi alami dan lokal. Edukasi ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya dalam pengelolaan hipertensi dengan pendekatan herbal. Kegiatan ini juga membuka peluang untuk pengembangan program lanjutan, seperti pelatihan budidaya tanaman herbal. Diharapkan edukasi serupa dapat terus dilakukan secara berkelanjutan untuk mendukung upaya preventif terhadap hipertensi di tingkat komunitas.

Abstract

Parijoto fruit extract has antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 19.73 ppm. Parijoto extract needs to be formulated into a lip balm to maximise its potential. Lip balm preparations require a stiffening agent used to maintain shape, texture, and stability. The stiffening agent used in this study is cera alba. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of varying concentrations of cera alba as a stiffening agent on the physical properties of lip balm preparations made from parijoto fruit extract (Medinila speciosa Blume). This research is an experimental study. The parijoto fruit extract was prepared by maceration extraction using 96% ethanol. The preparations were made with 3 formulas with different concentrations of cera alba as a stiffening agent: FI (10%), FII (15%), and FIII (20%). Subsequently, physical tests of the lip balm preparations were conducted, including organoleptic tests, pH tests, homogeneity tests, adhesion tests, spreadability tests, viscosity tests, moisture content tests, and irritation tests. The results of the physical property analysis of the lip balm preparations were analysed descriptively and inferentially using statistical software with one-way ANOVA and post hoc Tukey tests. Based on the results, the variation in cera alba concentration as a stiffening agent influences the physical properties of the lip balm extract from parijoto fruit (Medinila speciosa Blume), including pH, viscosity, adhesion, and spreadability, but does not significantly affect moisturising ability. In this study, FI with 10% cera alba concentration was established as the best formula based on the fulfilment of all physical property tests (pH, viscosity, adhesion, spreadability) and the statistical test results.
