Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a significant effect of the use of the probing prompting model on student learning outcomes in flat geometry material in class III SDN Petok, Mojo District, Kediri Regency. This study uses a quantitative method. The research design uses a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were all third-grade students at SDN Petok in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Sampling used a non-probability sampling technique, a saturated sampling type. The research sample was 19 students. Data were collected using observation and tests. The results showed that the magnitude of the effect was evident in the Wilcoxon test results obtained a significant value of 0.000. Based on the testing criteria, if the value of sig less than0.05 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which states that there is a difference in the pretest and posttest results. This means that there is a significant effect of the use of the probing prompting model on student learning outcomes in flat geometry material in class III SDN Petok.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of scout extracurricular activities on student discipline. The research was conducted within a qualitative research framework, focusing on social phenomena that cannot be analyzed statistically. The methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation studies of student participation in scouting activities and their influence on disciplined behavior. The results show that participation in scouting activities significantly affects student discipline, particularly in terms of responsibility, time management, and adherence to rules. However, it was also found that some students still face challenges with attendance and proper use of uniforms, indicating the need for better management strategies to enhance student engagement. This study refers to literature that supports a positive correlation between scouting activities and student character development, especially in fostering discipline and moral values. The conclusions of this study are expected to provide insights for educators and school administrators to improve the effectiveness of scouting programs in schools, thereby contributing more effectively to the development of students' disciplined character.

Abstract

Basic education in Indonesia faces crucial challenges in balancing national standards with contextual needs and preserving local identity. Madurese culture is one of the learning resources that can be integrated into the elementary school curriculum because students need to be introduced to their identity as part of a social or ethnic community. This scientific article examines the potential for integrating Madurese culture into the elementary school curriculum as an effort to strengthen students' character and preserve cultural heritage. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a library method or literature study to apply a tourism-based learning model that can integrate Madurese local culture. Data were collected through internet searches for relevant and reliable journal articles, as well as sources from reference books related to the topic. Core values of Madurese culture, such as piety, kinship ethics (Bung-Sabung Rosok), work resilience (Ta'tako' Mate, Tape Tako'kalaparan), morality (Bhupa' Bhebu' Guru Rato), and adherence to norms and ethics (Andhap Asor), were identified as the main foundations. The proposed integration model emphasizes a contextual approach through the implementation of a tourism-based learning model that is adapted to class levels and geographical conditions. Pendidikan dasar di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan krusial dalam menyeimbangkan standar nasional dengan kebutuhan kontekstual dan pelestarian identitas lokal. Budaya Madura merupakan salah satu sumber belajar yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum jenjang pendidikan dasar, karena peserta didik perlu dikenalkan dengan identitasnya sebagai bagian dari komunitas sosial atau suku bangsa. Artikel ilmiah ini mengkaji integrasi budaya Madura ke dalam kurikulum pendidikan dasar sebagai upaya memperkuat karakter peserta didik dan melestarikan warisan budaya. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif dan studi pustaka untuk mengaplikasikan model pembelajaran berbasis kepariwisataan yang dapat mengintegrasikan budaya Madura. Data dikumpulkan melalui pencarian di internet pada artikel-artikel jurnal yang relevan dan terpercaya, serta bersumber dari buku-buku referensi yang terkait dengan topik riset. Temuan artikel adalah nilai-nilai inti budaya Madura, seperti ketakwaan, etika kekerabatan (Bung-Sabung Rosok), ketangguhan kerja (Ta'tako' Mate, Tape Tako'kalaparan), moralitas (Bhupa' Bhebu' Guru Rato), serta ketaatan terhadap norma dan etika (Andhap Asor), diidentifikasi sebagai fondasi utama. Model integrasi yang diusulkan adalah pendekatan kontekstual melalui implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis kepariwisataan yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat kelas dan kondisi geografis. Kata Kunci : Budaya Madura; Kurikulum; Pendidikan Dasar; Pendidikan Karakter; Pembelajaran Kepariwisataan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi pembelajaran bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya seorang siswa kelas 6B dengan hambatan speech delay di SDN Kraton 1 Bangkalan yang merupakan sekolah non-inklusi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana strategi guru dalam membimbing anak berkebutuhan khusus pada sekolah non-inklusi kelas 6B di SDN Kraton 1 Bangkalan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan speech delay memiliki pemahaman yang lebih lambat terhadap materi sehingga membutuhkan perhatian khusus. Guru menerapkan strategi seperti pemberian model pengucapan yang jelas, penggunaan metode kasih sayang, menciptakan suasana kelas yang positif, serta pengawasan interaksi sosial untuk mencegah perundungan. Strategi tersebut membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi dan menjaga motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peran guru sangat penting dalam mendukung perkembangan akademik maupun sosial siswa dengan hambatan speech delay di kelas reguler.

Abstract

Kerrabhan Sape is full of critical spatial thinking activities because it involves the creativity of spatial objects from the installation of 'kaleles' (where the jockey controls the cow) in the pacu (race track). The purpose of this study is to explore the ideas of critical spatial thinking and mathematical ideas from Kerrabhan Sape culture so that they can be integrated into mathematics learning. The research method is qualitative research, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation, and internet search. Data analysis is in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study are in the form of critical spatial thinking ideas: (1) coding the characteristics of spatial objects, such as: describing the size, shape, position, and properties of the shape and comparing similarity, parallelism, and congruence in 'kaleles' and pacu track, (2) application of spatial objects in problem situations, such as: calculating, checking the validity of solutions, and assessing the effect of changes in size and position on the results in 'kaleles' and pacu track, (3) creativity of spatial objects, such as: designing innovative solutions by adding decorative ornaments to the cows and providing track barriers between pairs of cows. The mathematical ideas that emerge are: (1) angles, (2) midpoints, (3) similarity, (4) parallelism, (5) congruence, (6) geometry (flat shapes), (7) symmetry, (8) numbers (number operations), and (9) speed. In mathematics learning, these ideas play a role in explaining the concepts of numbers, geometry, and measurement.

Abstract

The learning process in schools does not always proceed smoothly, as students often encounter difficulties in understanding subject matter, particularly in Mathematics and English. These challenges negatively impact students' academic performance and hinder the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to describe teachers’ efforts in addressing learning difficulties in Mathematics and English, the use of instructional media, and the obstacles encountered during the learning process. A descriptive qualitative method was used, with research subjects consisting of teachers and upper-grade students at UPTD SDN Kraton 1 Bangkalan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers strive to enhance students’ interest and comprehension by utilizing engaging and relevant learning media and conducting remedial sessions for students scoring below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). However, several challenges were identified, including limited availability of media, mismatches between media and students’ needs, and underutilization of available resources. Additionally, two students were found to experience learning difficulties with differing characteristics. The study concludes that creative and innovative instructional strategies through the effective use of learning media are essential for addressing student learning difficulties and supporting the successful achievement of learning objectives, particularly in Mathematics and English subjects.

Abstract

Situasi pandemi covid-19 mengharuskan siswa belajar dari rumah hingga saat ini, sehingga menimbulkan rasa ingin tahu tentang kendala pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang terjadi pada jenjang SD, khususnya di Madura, dan bagaimana solusinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan mengetahui kendala dan solusi pembelajaran daring selama pandemi covid-19 di SD se-Pulau Madura. Hasil penelitian menemukan kendala yang dialami yaitu mengenai gadget dan pengoperasiannya, koneksi internet, finansial, pemahaman materi, komunikasi, dan kenyamanan pembelajaran. Solusi yang diterapkan menyesuaikan dari masing-masing kendala yang dihadapi.
