Abstract

Selection of learning model is influential on the success of student learning. The guided inquiry learning model is one of the student-centered learning models and emphasizes the learning process of students in finding concepts. The guided inquiry learning model based on authentic assessment makes learning activities meaningful and enables improving student learning outcomes as the student's per-stage development can be measured. This research is an experimental research using posttest-only control design. Population in this research is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pabelan. The samples in this study were taken with saturated sampling. Class XI IPA 1 as experiment class and class XI IPA 2 as control class. Data collection methods used are interview, documentation test and observation methods. This study begins treatment and ends  posttest. Based on the result of research, the mean value of posttest of cognitive domain for experimental class is 80,28 and control class equal to 76,60. This concludes that the cognitive class experimental mean of the experimental class is better than the control class proved by t-test, that mean of the experimental cognitive learning outcomes differ significantly with the control class. Psychomotor and affective domain results with very good criteria in the experiment class more than the control class. Based on the analysis of research results can be obtained conclusion that the guided inquiry model based on authentic assessment has a positive effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis mempunyai peranan yang sangat strategis dalammembangun kecakapan mental siswa dalam menghadapi permasalahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah penerapan pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan metode latihan berstrukturdapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini digunakan pretest and posttest control group design. Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan model TAI dan metode latihan berstruktur dibandingkan dengan siswa model TAI dan siswa kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen I sebesar 79,91, kelas eksperimen II sebesar 74,36, dan kelas kontrol sebesar 71,51. Hasil uji Anava menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata signifikan antara ketiga kelas. Analisis peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis menunjukkan kelas eksperimen I paling efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan merupakan kelas dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis terbaik. Hasil observasi sikap dan keterampilan siswa kelas menggunakan model TAI dengan metode latihan berstruktur tidak menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda signifikan dengan kelas menggunakan model TAI dan kontrol. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran TAI dengan metode latihan berstrukturdapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.   Critical thinking skills has a strategic role in the build students’ mental skills in dealing with the problem. This research aims to analyze whether the application of the learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) and structured exercise method can enhance critical thinking skills of students. This research is used pretest and posttest control group design. Students’ critical thinking skills by TAI model application with structured exercise method compared with the application of TAI and conventional learning. Based on the results obtained by analysis of the average students' critical thinking skills experiment class I is 79.91, experiment class II is 74.36, and the control class is 71.51. Anova test results showed a significant difference between the average of the three classes. Analysis of the improved critical thinking skills shows the experiment class I is the most effective in enhancing critical thinking skills and the class with the best of critical thinking skills. The observation results of students’ attitudes and psychomotorof the TAI model with a structured exercise methods class do not show significantly different results with the TAIclassand control. The conclusion of this research is the learning TAI model with structured exercise can enhance students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kit stoikiometri yang layak digunakan dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas kit stoikiometri yang dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi stoikiometri secara keseluruhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Pembelajaran yang digunakan merupakan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ilmiah. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIA SMA N 2 Pati, untuk uji coba skala kecil adalah siswa kelas X MIA 7 dan untuk uji coba skala besar diterapkan di kelas X MIA 5. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi, observasi, penyebaran angket, dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, skor validasi dari ahli sebesar 31 yang berarti kit stoikiometri sangat layak digunakan. Setelah menggunakan kit stoikiometri, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa secara klasikal sebesar 72,73%, lebih dari 85% siswa mencapai nilai lebih besar dari 75 dan dapat membantu siswa memahami materi stoikiometri dengan skor g = 0,84 N-gain yang termasuk dalam peningkatan pemahaman dalam kategori tinggi, yang berarti kit stoikiometri efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Dengan demikian, kit stoikiometri dapat digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi stoikiometri.   This research aims to develop a proper stoichiometry kit used and described effectiveness stoichiometry kit developed to improve understanding of the concept of students on the material overall stoichiometry. The study design used in this research is the Research and Development. Learning model usethe scientific approach learning. As research subjects are students of class X MIA SMA N 2 Pati, for small-scale trials were students of class X MIA 7 and for large-scale testing implemented in class X MIA 5.The data collection is done by the method of documentation, observation, questionnaire, and test. Based on the research results, scores of expert validation by 31 which means that the stoichiometry is very decent kit is used. After using kit stoichiometry, there is increasing students' understanding of concepts in classical student of 72.73 %, more than 85 % of students reached a value greater than 75 and can help students understand the material stoichiometry with a score of g = 0.84 N-gain included in an increased understanding in the high category, which means that the stoichiometry kit effectively used to improve students' understanding of the concept. Thus, the stoichiometry kit can be used for the learning process to improve students' understanding of concepts in the material stoichiometry

Abstract

Pada abad pengetahuan ini, modal intelektual khususnya kecakapan berpikir tingkat tinggi (higher order thinking skill) merupakan kebutuhan sebagai tenaga kerja yang handal agar siswa mampu memahami materi pelajaran, maka diperlukan kecakapan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Namun ada beberapa keluhan tentang rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif yang dimiliki oleh lulusan pendidikan dasar sampai perguruan tinggi. Kendala juga dialami SMK Swasta di Slawi antara lain pembelajaran fisika sulit dipahami dan siswa kurang optimal saat pembelajaran. Akibatnya, banyak siswa yang kemampuan berpikir kritisnya kurang baik. Disisi lain, kebanyakan guru tidak mengembangkan bahan ajar sendiri melainkan membeli dari agen buku. Pada hal buku tersebut tidak disesuaikan dengan kondisi sekolah dan kondisi peserta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini: untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan, efektifitas, dan pengaruh pengembangan LKS fisika bermuatan KGS terhadap pengembangan HOTS siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan. Teknik analisis dengan menggunakan uji deskriptif prosentase, uji gain, dan t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). Pengembangan LKS bermuatan KGS terdiri dari 22 pertanyaan dinyatakan layak oleh tim validator. 2). Pengembangan LKS yang diberikan treatment adalah efektif. 3). Metode KGS berpengaruh positip terhadap peningkatan HOTS siswa SMK Swasta di Slawi.   In the century of knowledge intellectual capital, especially high-level thinking skills (Higher Order Thinking Skills) is a necessity as a reliable workforce so that students are able to understand the subject matter, it would require a high -level thinking skills. However, there are some complaints about the lack of critical thinking skills, creative owned by basic education graduates to college. Private vocational constraints are also experienced in teaching physics Slawi among other elusive and less than optimal student learning time. As a result, many students are poor critical thinking skills. On the other hand, most teachers do not develop their own teaching materials , but bought from a book agent. In the book it is not adapted to the conditions of the school and the condition of the participants. The purpose of this research: to determine the feasibility, effectiveness, and influence the development of physics LKS charged KGS against HOTS development of students. The approach used is research pengembanganTeknik analysis using descriptive test percentage, gain test, and t test. Research shows that: 1). KGS charged LKS development consists of 22 questions to be eligible by the team validator. 2). LKS development of a given treatment is effective. 3). KGS method HOTS positive effect on improvement of vocational students private in Slawi.

Abstract

Satu tujuan dari SMA/MA adalah mencetak generasi terdidik untuk melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi. Kenyataannya banyak lulusan SMA/MA tidak dapat melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi, sehingga berpotensi menjadi pengangguran. Upaya mempersiapkan lulusan SMA/MA agar siap bersaing dalam dunia kerja sangat diperlukan. Salah satu upaya yang perlu dilakukan adalah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan modul CEP.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi pembelajaran Asam Basa dengan menggunakan modul Kimia berorientasi CEP terhadap kecakapan hidup, motivasi belajar, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN Rembang dan MA Muallimin Muallimat Rembang (M3R). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest and post test control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan metode observasi, dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai thitung kecakapan hidup, motivasi belajar, dan hasil belajar < ttabel (-1,99). Nilai thitung kecakapan hidup pada aspek komunikasi (-2,06),kerjasama (-3,06), keterampilan menggunakan alat (-2,34), kedisiplinan kerja (-2,54), dan sikap kerja (-2,35). Nilai thitung motivasi belajar (-2,97), dan hasil belajar peserta didik (-7,31). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Kimia dengan menggunakan modul Kimia CEP dapat meningkatkan kecakapan hidup, motivasi belajar, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. One of the goals of SMA/MA is scored educated generation to go to college. In fact many SMA/MA graduates is not able to go to college, so the potential to become unemployed. Efforts to prepare SMA/MA graduates to be ready to compete in the world of work is needed. One effort that needs to be done is to implement CEP learning module. This study aims to determine the contribution of learning Acid Alkali using CEP module on life skills, motivation to learn, and learning outcomes of students. This research was conducted in MAN Rembang and MA Muallimin Muallimat Rembang (M3R). This study used a pretest and post test control group design. The research data obtained by observation, documentation, questionnaire, and test. Results showed that tcount life skills, learning motivation, and cognitive results were <ttable -1.99. Tcount life skills in communication aspect was-2.06, cooperation (-3.06), skills in using tools was -2.34, work discipline was -2.54, and work attitude -2.35 , Tcount learning motivation was -2.97, and the cognitive result was -7.31. This study showed that learning with CEP-based Chemistry module can improve life skills, learning motivation, and cognitive result of students.

Abstract

Student worksheet (LKPD) available in schools generally contain a summary of material, practice questions, and practical instructions that do not guide students in making the chemoentrepreneurship (CEP) project. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Hi-CEP LKPD project towards: SLS, entrepreneurial interests, and student learning outcomes. The benefits of this study were knowing the improvement of SLS, entrepreneurial interests, and student learning outcomes after the Hi-CEP LKPD project was implemented in project-based learning activities. The research design used was pre-test and post-test control group design. Data retrieval is done by observation, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The SLS t value and entrepreneur interest questionnaire values ​​are -6.111 and -6.162 ≤ t table 1.667, then the experimental class has a significant change in the control class. SLS assessment and entrepreneurial interest questionnaire each have a p-value Sig. ≤ 0.05, and the Sig. (2-tailed) cognitive learning outcomes data amounted to 0.021, 0.05, then the experimental class and the control class had significant differences. The conclusion of this study is the Hi-CEP Project LKPD effectively improves social life skills, entrepreneurial interests and student learning outcomes. The researcher suggested that the teacher be able to compile the CEP project-based LKPD. The chemoentrepreneurship project (CEP) practicum can foster the entrepreneurial interest of students that is useful for the lives of students after graduating later because not all students can continue to college, besides that it can improve the social life skills (SLS) of students who appear in preparation activities manufacture of products to marketing.

Abstract

This experimental study aims to know is there any contribution aided model of guided inquiry e-module of the science process skills of students. The experiment was conducted in SMA Institut Indonesia on 28 March to 24 April 2017. The samples are two classes using cluster random sampling technique for normally distributed populations and homogeneous. The study design used is modified comparison group pretest-posttest design. The study design used is the mean difference test, analysis of the influence between variables, and the determination of the coefficient of determination. The test results show the mean difference 5.03 t greater than t table at the 5% significance level is 1.99. Analysis of the influence between variables produce biserial coefficient value of 0.74. Calculation of the coefficient of determination shows the application of guided inquiry-aided model of e-modules accounted for 29.16% of the science process skills. Results of science process skills of observation showed that the proportion of students who achieve the experimental class was excellent and good categories was 0.51 higher than the control class is 0.25. Based on the results of this study concluded that the application of guided inquiry assisted e-module contributes to the students' science process skills.

Abstract

This research was a mixed method with the design of sequential explanatory strategy. This research aims to identify student misconception on buffer solution material and obtain student response to multiple representation-chemoentrepreneurship (entrepreneurship in the chemistry field) teaching materials. Research subjects were 114 students from grade XI MIPA 3, XI MIPA 4, and XI MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 12 Semarang academic year 2017/2018. Three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test obtained from the research data amounted to 20 items, questionnaire to know the student's response to teaching materials, and interview to confirm student's answer. The result of the validation of teaching materials by three validators shows that the teaching materials of multiple representation-chemoentrepreneurship are very suitable to be used in chemistry learning with an average score of 190.33 from 212. The average score of the questionnaire is 28,026 with proper category and reliability of 0.906. The misconception profile obtained is the definition and the properties of the buffer solution 3.421%; the components of buffer solution 2.149%; working principle 2.632%; pH of buffer solution 3.596%; and the role of buffer solution 0.965% with a total misconception 12.763%.

Abstract

The development of the current educational system, has focused integralistly that removes barriers between science and religion. But there are still many Islamic school that have not yet integrated the values of Islam in learning, so it is necessary to use a certain approach. Learning through a scientific approach has a very strategic role in improving student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to know and describe the improvement of student learning outcomes in the learning of colloidal chemistry integrated Islamic values through scientific approach. This research uses experimental method, with pretest and posttest control group design design. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes in the control and experimental classes altogether in the low improvement category, but the improvement in both quality / statistics was no significant difference. The percentage increase in the experimental class (10.1%) was greater than the control class (5.5%). The conclusion in this research is the study of integrated colloidal chemistry of Islam through scientific approach can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Critical thinking definition is reasonably and reflectively thinking focused on what to believe or do. In today settings, the ability to think critically is very important, due to the increasing amount of information that must be processed before deciding something. National Science Olympiad is one of the vessels to increase this important skill in our students. Unfortunately, the OSN questions were not designed for measuring this skill. The aim of this research was to design an instrument that measure the critical thinking skill of the OSN participants. This was an R & D type of research, that was done following Four-D method, consists of define, design, development, and dissemination steps. The criteria for a good instrument are validity, reliability, discrimination power, and difficulty level must be sufficient. The result of the research shows that the instrument is valid (89,9% response from experts); reliable (KR-20 is 0,830); with sufficient average of discrimination power (DP is 0,378); and difficulty level (TK is 0,613).
