Abstract

ABSTRACTAlmost all people in the Induriang village  use traditional medicinal plants, whether plants that have been cultivated and wild growing plants. This study was conducted to determine the types of medicinal plants used by people in the  Induriang village. The research was conducted in June 2013 by a descriptive survey method, the sampling in the village Induriang researchers assisted by 2 shaman and sampling carried out in the fields, houses and woods around the radius depth of ± 100 meters from the road. From this study, it was found as many as 33 species of medicinal plants from 22 familia and can be used to treat 28 kinds of diseases outside and internal medicine. Medicinal plant species most commonly found are from Familia Poaceae, Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Zingiberaceae respectively 3 types and is advisable to be able to conduct further research on the ecology of medicinal plants that exist in the area.

Abstract

ABSTRACT White Oyster mushroom is kinds of wood mushroom. In cultivation it, generally the society used hay and sawdust as media plant. In West Pasaman the media plant difficulties get. So, require to find another alternative media that is using empty bunch of oil palm which not yet been exploited optimally by society. Chalk addition used for setting the plant pH media to approach neutral situation. This research have been done in August 2013 until January 2014 in Padang. This Research used Experimental method and Complete Random Device (RAL) in 5 treatment chalk heavy of dolomid and 4 times repetition, is : A0: 0 gr/baglog, A1: 7,5 gr/baglog, A2: 15 gr/baglog, A3: 22,5 gr/baglog, A4:30 gr/baglog. The heavy of oil palm bunch that used is about 500gr/baglog. Based on this research, got result that giving chalk of dolomid at media of oil palm bunch can improve white oyster mushroom production and growth. The average of long spreading miselium quickest about 24 day at A2 treatment, the average of most fruiting body 14,80 at A3 treatment, wet heavy average of fruit body 68 gram at A3 treatment of and the diameter of fruiting body cover highest were 8,58 cm at A1 treatment.

Abstract

Bunga melati putih memiliki potensi ekonomi dan social yang besar bagi masyarakat Indonesia khususnya dan dunia umumnya. Kebutuhan melati putih terus meningkat, namun produksi bunga melati putih di Indonesia baru mampu memenuhi sekitar 20% dari kebutuhan melati di pasaran dunia. Untuk itu diperlukan upaya untuk meningkat kuantitas dan kualitas produksi bunga. Pemanfaatan Zat Penghambat Tumbuh merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan produksi bunga melati putih. Salah satu Zat Penghambat Tumbuh yang biasa digunakan adalah paclobutrazol. Sehubungan dengan itu maka dilakukan penelitian dengan judul “ Induksi Pemekaran Bunga (Anthesis) Tanaman melati putih (Jasminum sambac L. W. Ait) dengan pemberian paclobutrazol pada beberapa konsentrasi. “ Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai Juni di greenhouse STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Rancangan  percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan.  Terdiri dari perlakuanA= control, B=200 ppm, C=400 ppm, D= 600 ppm, E= 800 ppm, E= 1000 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian paclobutrazol pada beberapa konsentrasi tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap waktu muncul kuncup bunga, waktu mekar bunga (anthesis), dan jumlah bunga melati putih

Abstract

Male banana is one of the varieties of bananas that becomes a main commodity of West Sumatra. As a main commodity, then growth, quality and productivity need to be maintained and improved. Soil microbial technology application, such as the development of biological agents of Fungi Mycorrhizae Fungi (AMF), is one of the strategies need to be tested and developed to support the development of a national program of healthy banana seedlings as well as issues of pressing environmental preservation based fertilizers and chemical pesticides. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and tissue culture and greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Andalas, Padang. This research used an experimental method arranged in a factorial completely-randomized design consisting of two factors with three replications. Factor A: Dose mycorrhizae (A0 = no inoculation, A1 = 5 g inoculant FMA PU10, A2 = 10 g inoculant FMA PU10, A3 = 15 g inoculant PU10, A4 = 20 g inoculant PU10. Factor B: Timing of phosphate (B0 = 0 HSI inoculant FMA PU10 B1 = 10 HSI inoculant FMA PU10, B2 = 20 HSI inoculant FMA PU10, B3 = 30 HSI inoculant FMA PU10, B4 = 40 HSI inoculant FMA PU10). The research shows that inoculation of inoculant FMA on different doses give a significant effect on the percentage of male banana seedling of root colonization. Where dosing 10 grams (A2) shows that the highest root colonization percentage compared with other treatments equals to 53. 33%. The provision of phosphate on 30th day of  HSI Mycorrhizae shows that the highest percentage of colonization is 45.55%.

Abstract

Hutan  merupakan  asosiasi  dari tumbuh-tumbuhan  yang  sebagian  besarterdiri  atas  pohon-pohon  atau  vegetasi  berkayu  yang  menempati  suatu  areal. Hutan memiliki manfaat bagi manusia, manfaat tersebut diperoleh apabila hutan terjamin ekosistemnya sehingga dapat berfungsi secara optimal.   Hutan Pinang Makmur merupakan hutan yang terletak di Kecamatan Timpeh Kenagarian Tabek Dharmaraya. Hutan ini mengalami berbagai gangguan diantaranya pembukaan lahan  pertanian  dan  penebangan  pohon  yang  dilakukan  oleh  penduduk  yang berada di sekitar hutan. Aktivitas penduduk ini telah menciptakan kerusakan di beberapa tempat  sehingga terbentuk  gap atau ruang terbuka. Kerusakan hutan dikhawatirkan akan mengancam keanekaragaman jenis (diversity) tumbuhan terutama pohon. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut maka telah dilakukan penelitian tentang  inventarisasi  pohon  di  hutan  Pinang  Makmur  Kecamatan  Timpeh Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan September 2015 di Hutan Pinang Makmur Kecamatan Timpeh Kabupaten Dharmasraya dengan menggunakan metode garis berpetak. Teknik penentuan lokasi dengan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 217 individu  dengan 31 familia pohon di hutan Pinang Makmur Kecamatan Timpeh Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Individu terbanyak didapatkan pada famili Euphorbiaceae dengan 26 individu. Diikuti oleh familia Olacarceae dengan 24 individu, Moraceae 23 individu, Verbenaceae 21 individu dan Leguminosae 18 individu dan indidu dari familia lain  ditemukan dalam jumlah   sedikit.

Abstract

Etnofarmakologi is a study that use of plants as medicine by the people who inhabit a particular territory. Some people in Indonesia still use herbs as medicine traditionally, as well as the communities living around the mangrove forests. One of the is Rhizophoraceae, This plant is generally the main constituent of plant mangroves. This study aimed to determine the relative utilization Rhizophoraceae as medicinal plants in the mangrove forest. The results of this research, there are three species of the family Rhozophoraceae were used as a medicinal plant, that are Rhizophora apiculata, Ceriop tagal dan Bruguiera gymnorrizha. Plants are used for cold, treatment in the postpartum period of healing, ulcers and stomach pain. Part of plant that used are the leaves, flowers, fruit and bark. These herbs are processed by boiling to drink and there are mashed to rub.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth of mangrove seedlings grown on soil top soil media. Mangrove seeds obtained from the community around the mangrove forest in Taluak Buo Bungus, Padang. This study used experimental method using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. Treatment A as a control using land taken from the mangrove forest area of Taluak Buo Bungus, Padang. Treatment B using 100% topsoil soil, Soil top soil treatment (70%) plus cow manure. Treatment of soil top soil (70%) with the addition of chicken manure. Growth factor to be observed in this research is the growth of stem and number of leaves, then also calculated stem diameter ratio at all treatment. The results showed that the treatment on seed height and number of leaves was significantly different with the control, while for the number of different leaves were not real.

Abstract

Morphology is the result of expression of a genotype that is influenced by environmental factors. Plant morphological variations may occur due to the different conditions of the region, these conditions may include differences in geographical location, ecological conditions such as variations in temperature, humidity, nutrition and others. Has done research on the morphology of Bruguiera cylindrica (L.) Blume grown in mangrove forest districts North Siberut Mentawai District. This morphological study aims to determine the morphology B. Cylindrica and compare it with the data that has been there before. This study was conducted in May-June 2015 in the mangrove forest District of North Siberut Mentawai District. The research method used in the study was a survey and a collection directly in the field. Samples contained area of mangrove forests are taken at random and then proceed to describe the morphology of the species B. Cylindica structure. Based on the research that has been dilakkan B. cylindrica can diketahuhi there are some differences in morphological characters on the roots of these species such as shape, color roots, tree height, color of trunks and branches, filotaksis leaves, leaf color, leaf length, flower color, fruit color, length and the diameter hipokotil. Abstract

The existence of trees in a region could be threatened because of their good forest damage due to natural factors such as fires and landslides, as well as human activities mainly due to illegal logging. This study aims to determine the composition of a tree in Bukit Ace in the sub Kuranji Padang. In this study using a survey method using a combination of methods to make trransek track and map examples. Transects were observed along the 20 meter by 10 mapped sample with a size of 10x10 meter Analysis of vegetation cover density, frequency, dominance, importance and diversity index. Based on research conducted at the Mount Ace Village of Mount Sarik District of Kuranji Padang, tree composition consists of 13 species and 172 individuals where species of trees by people who at least is Anacardium ocidentale ie 3 people whereas species with people most is Xerospermum intermedium (31 people) , Important values ranging between 6.107% - 60.327%, of tree species that have significant value the highest is Xerospermum intermedium is 60.327% and tree species with important value lows are Evodia malayana namely 6.107%, while based on diversity index of forest in Bukit Ace classified as being abundant with value ID 2,351.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji   pengaruh pemberian air   sisa cucian beras terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman pare (Momordica charantia L.). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2014 di Desa Koto Berapak Kecamatan Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.Rancangan   percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air cucian beras pada  konsentrasi  100%  memberikan  pengaruh  terhadap  tinggi  tanaman  dan jumlah daun namun secara statistik tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun tanaman pare.
