Abstract

Airport management is very important and plays a very important role in increasing the growth of the aviation sector and the economy, because every time there is movement of aircraft traffic carrying out arrival and departure activities from an airport, both domestic and international. The aim of this research is to find out (1) the role of an airport, (2) how an airport is managed, (3) the difference between commercial airports and airports managed by the Air Force. This research method is a literature study and an exploratory descriptive approach. It can be concluded that: the important role of airports, namely as a node of the air transportation network, a door to economic sustainability, a place for activities to change modes of transportation, opening regional isolation, handling disasters, and infrastructure to strengthen state sovereignty. The private sector needs to be involved in the form of cooperative operations and management contracts with major capital expenditure, which is mostly realized in government-private cooperation in airport management.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of human factors in increasing situation awareness in air traffic management. Situation awareness is the ability to understand and respond to existing conditions in a timely manner, especially in the context of complex and dynamic air traffic. Human factors, such as fatigue, experience, and psychological factors, have been known to play an important role in situational awareness. This research uses a qualitative approach with a focus on in-depth interviews with air traffic managers and analysis of human factors involved in events or incidents related to situation awareness. Data will be analyzed using thematic methods to identify patterns, themes and key aspects that influence situation awareness. The research results are expected to provide in-depth insight into the human factors that influence situation awareness in air traffic management, as well as recommendations for improving training, standard operating procedures, and policies to improve response and performance in demanding situations. The conclusions of this research are expected to make a significant contribution to the field of aviation safety and air traffic management as a whole.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe sistem monitoring daya yang digunakan pada Lampu Apron Floodlight, dengan tujuan utama memungkinkan para teknisi untuk mendeteksi dengan cepat lampu mana yang mati atau mengalami gangguan. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan pelayanan ter-hadap keselamatan dan keamanan penerbangan dapat ditingkatkan secara efektif. Prototipe ini menggunakan perangkat NodeMCU ESP8266 dan PZEM-004T untuk mengukur arus pada lampu Apron Floodlight, dengan hasil pengukuran berupa data arus, tegangan, dan daya. Untuk memungkinkan monitoring secara real-time, data pengukuran tersebut dikirimkan ke database server sistem monitor-ing melalui perangkat Internet of Things (IoT). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menghasilkan prototipe sistem monitoring penggunaan daya lampu Apron Floodlight yang berbasis IoT, memungkinkan deteksi dini terhadap lampu yang mati atau men-galami gangguan, dan memperkuat aspek keselamatan dan kea-manan penerbangan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dari Politeknik Penerbangan Medan dilaksanakan dengan mitra Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa, yang berlokasi dekat dengan Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu Deli Serdang, jarak sekolah dengan Bandara kurang lebih 19 km. berdasarkan hal tersebut maka tim pengabdian melakukan edukasi keamanan penerbangan kepada guru dan siswa. Keamanan Penerbangan adalahsuatu keadaan yang memberikan perlindungan kepada penerbangan dari tindakan melawan hukum melalui keterpaduan pemanfaatan sumber dayamanusia, fasilitas, dan prosedur. Metode yang diterapkan tim pengabdian adalah memberikan ceramah dan tanya jawab serta contoh – contoh kejadian nyata yang terjadi di dunia penerbangan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan memberikan test kepada peserta menggunakan aplikasi kahoot. Hasil pretest total 36 orang peserta terdapat 23 orang dengan nilai dibawah 70 dan 13 orang dengan nilai di atas 70. Setelah diberikan edukasi, peserta mengalami peningkatan nilai yaitu sebanyak 25 orang peserta dan 11 peserta tidak mengalami peningkatan. Outcome yang kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat terutama para siswa di lingkungan sekitar Bandar Udara lebih memahami pentingnya penerapan keamanan penerbangan sipil sehingga keselamatan penerbangan dapat terwujud.The Community Service Activities of the Medan Aviation Polytechnic are carried out with partners from Tanjung Morawa 1 Public High School, which is located close to Kualanamu Deli Serdang International Airport, the distance between the school and the airport is approximately 19 km. Based on this, the service team conducts aviation safety education for teachers and students. Aviation Security is a situation that provides protection to aviation from acts against the law through the integrated use of human resources, facilities and procedures. The method used by the service team is to give lectures and questions and answers as well as examples of real events that occurred in the world of aviation, then proceed with giving tests to participants using the kahoot application. The pretest results for a total of 36 participants included 23 people with scores below 70 and 13 people with scores above 70. After being given education, the participants experienced an increase in scores, namely 25 participants and 11 participants did not experience an increase. The outcome of this community service activity is that the community, especially students in the environment around the airport, understand more about the importance of implementing civil aviation security so that aviation safety can be realized.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di dunia mengalami perkembangan yang sangat signifikan. Sehingga kemajuan teknologi membuat lingkungan di sekitar harus mengikuti perubahan yang telah terjadi. Untuk mendukung perkembangan teknologi tersebut, PT. Angkasa Pura II meluncurkan aplikasi “Travelin” yang bergerak diluar bidang aero dan nonaero yang bertujuan untuk memberikan layanan informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh pengguna jasa transportasi udara selama di Bandara yang dikelola oleh PT. Abstract

Aviation safety is an important part in the world of aviation. One form of aviation safety is preventive and mitigating actions in the event of unwanted things such as a wildlife hazard. Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan is an airport that has a strategic geographical position, namely the presence of forests and the sea in the south and west areas. This geographical location is the main trigger for the entry of wild animals and bird attacks at the Sepinggan aerodrome, Balikpapan. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is the need for short-term and long-term actions such as checking by personnel who have received special training, coordinating with related units, and compiling and producing report data according to a predetermined format.

Abstract

At Silampari Airport there are frequent power outages not only 1 to 2 times a day and even experienced up to 4 blackouts. During the second blackout on the same day, the 550 kVA generator failed to start due to a voltage drop in the generator battery. This condition could result in disruption of the operational system at Silampari Airport.. Dbecause Silampari airport does not have a spare battery, so the voltage and current values of the battery must be detected, so that the generator does not fail to start. To monitor the battery and to find out the value of the battery input voltage, battery power and remaining battery power, a voltage and current monitoring design for the 550 generator battery charger is required. Kva.Presearch This method uses descriptive analysis and a qualitative approach. The result of this research is that a control system for regulating voltage and load current using NodeMCU ESP8266 based on the Internet of Things with the Bylnk platform has been realized. The design of the tool has been realized as a tool for monitoring battery charger voltage and current using the IoT concept by utilizing the main components, namely the voltage sensor, ACS712 current sensor, NodeMCU data processor equipped with an IoT module in the form of ESP8266.

Abstract

Small uncrewed aircraft have become one of the increasingly popular technological innovations and are widely used in various fields, including civil aviation. However, using drones also carries potential risks to flight safety and airport security, mainly when operating in the Flight Operational Control Area (KKOP) around the airport. Therefore, it is important to conduct effective socialization regarding the Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SPUKTA) regulations for airport security personnel to increase understanding of using small uncrewed aircraft operations for the public and workers.This community service research results show that the socialization of SPUKTA regulations to airport security personnel in the KKOP area at Silangit International Airport is done through training and counseling. Socialization includes an understanding of drone classification, flight restrictions in the KKOP area, licensing procedures, and emergency actions in dealing with drone operational disruptions, as well as detection and barrier technology to prevent the entry of unauthorized drones. Collaboration between aviation authorities, airport management, and security personnel is needed to continuously update and improve the socialization of SPUKTA regulations to maintain the safety and security of flight operations at Silangit International Airport.

Abstract

As the technology grows rapidly, the aviation keep developing in its servent. On Perum LPPNPI Palembang, equipped with Flight Surveillance Facility MSSR Mode S Radar which works to detect the airplane position arounds by sending the interrogation pulse to gain distance information, velocity, altitude, and airplane identity after the transponder sending the reply pulse. The S Mode Processing (SMP) and the Radar Maintenance Monitoring (RMM) is used by the radar to process the reply pulse form the transponder. This study focuses on the alarm SMP indicator in the RCMS and the PC monitor data radar viewer which not operating. This study was designed with analysis method and checking method. The data was gained from the analysis of voltage value on each part of the PC. Problem solving conducted suitable with the valid SOP on Perum LPPNPI Palembang. The study result is replacing the battered motherboard on SMP PCU and reconfigurating the motherboard to operate as RMM PCU suitable with the procedure on Manual Book Radar MSSR Mode S Eldis.

Abstract

Air transportation is effective, efficient, fast, safe, and comfortable transportation. The role of air transportation, especially commercial aviation, is very important in economic and social development as shown by the increase in demand for aviation services as measured by the growth of air passengers. Airports are an important means of transportation in the transportation sector. Cut Nyak Dhien Nagan Raya Airport has many facilities that support the flight implementation process and also improve services to air transportation service users, however, there is something that is an important concern, namely disruption or outages of the main electrical power source on the CCR with Type Cooper at Cut Nyak Dhien Airport. where when the main power source goes out, at Cut Nyak Dhien Airport the main electrical system at the airport will go out for eight seconds and this will disrupt flights, especially when the plane is about to take off or land, because the CCR is a vital part when there is a flight, so CCR cannot be contested. Due to the problem of damaged UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) in the CCR Room at Cut Nyak Dhien Nagan Raya Airport, it will not operate properly and smoothly when there is a problem with the electricity in the airport CCR room, because the UPS is very influential for the smooth running and security of Cut Nyak Dhien airport. The function of the UPS is to supply electrical power requirements to the load. Quality and balanced electrical power is a priority in the world of aviation. Even the slightest electrical disturbance will disrupt the flight process chain and this can result in financial losses
