Abstract

The role of ports in a transportation system, requires that each port has a basic framework of port development and development plans. Port service is a chain in supporting the smoothness of sea freight The research aims to examine and analyze the effect of planning dimensions of policies, procedures, standards, on the performance of port services in Banten Province The method used causality to analyze the existence or absence of mutual relationship between variables. The sample in this research is employee and port service section in Banten Region. Sampling method used is accidental sampling with employee criteria have been involved in planning and service sections amounted to 40 respondents. Analytical techniques used for hypothesis testing using Regression Analysis The results showed that the policy dimension affects the performance of services, procedures affecting performance, standards affect the performance, services and programs affect the performance of services Keywords: Service Planning, Service Performance and ports

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the safety performance of state ships and commercial ships according to the requirements of Solas 1974. The requirements of Solas 1974 in the context of international shipping are mainly related to safety and security issues related to the tools and types of shipping safety. Application of the 1974 Solas Convention and the 2018 Solas Consolidation with the scope of discussion on international shipping is especially related to maritime protection. This study uses the Plan, Do, Check and Action (PDCA) evaluation model. The data was collected through the interview survey method and continued with statistical testing with the factor analysis technique. Respondents consisted of crews of commercial ships with a weight of over 500 GT and crews of pioneer ships as state ships anchored at the Port of Tanjung Priok. Research respondents totaled 57 crew members, consisting of 23 crew members of state ships and 34 crew members of commercial ships. The results of this research can be used as reference material in terms of safety and security as well as protection against environmental damage, in accordance with the transportation management system policy which includes; manuals, implementation policies, supporting implementation procedures, and work instructions for all stakeholders. The research output can be used as a basis for providing recommendations related to corrective actions to improve the marine transportation management system through the implementation of Solas 1974.

Abstract

An interchange station or transfer station is a train station for more than one route that allows passengers to move from one route to another without leaving the station by paying a one-way fare. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of internal service capability in the organization in the field of internal customer service at the crossing station between front-line staff and support staff during the covid 19 pandemic. The research method used was a quantitative method with an analysis of internal quality measurements using the Intservqual model and measurements based on there is a gap between the service expected by internal customers (employees of other departments) and the service they actually receive. The sample used is accidental sampling of 105 support staff and 23 front line staff. The results of the study show that there is a gap that is still in a negative position, meaning that based on each dimension of the two gaps, it is still necessary to improve internal services between front-line staff and support staff.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk memberikan sosialisasi terkait pentingnya sertifikasi dan penyusunan prosedur operasi standar (SOP) Umum penanganan  barang berbahaya umum pada maskapai penerbangan secara langsung atau melalui ground handling sebagai perwakilan penerbangan di Indonesia. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Februari 2022 melalui zoom meeting kepada mitra pengabdian yaitu maskapai penerbangan Air Asia. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu dengan melakukan sosialisasi menggunakan pendekatan perbincangan santai namun terarah dengan media daring kepada mitra maskapai penerbangan ataupun stake holder yang memerlukan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah pemahaman masyarakat transportasi atau personel penerbangan sebesar 23,86% rata-rata peningkatan dari 69,46% ke 93,32% yang didapat dari pre dan post test terhadap 19 peserta mengenai prosedur penyusunan SOP untuk memperoleh sertifikasi pengangkutan barang berbahaya di Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know and analyze implementation of Inaportnet Information Technology and service performance on user satisfaction at Tanjung Priok Port. The Implementation of Inaportnet at a port is aimed at improving ship and cargo services at the port so as to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian ports. The study uses a quantitative method with path analysis. The number of research samples is as many as 62 port service user. The result of the hypothetical test on the research shows the information technology system it is expected that the system can assist the activity processes of a port and reduce the high cost in the port sector, and through Information Technology it can monitor the port activities which still need improvement

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine and analyze the impact of potential market towards shipping cargo volume. The lack of modes of transport cause high cost of shipping goods to the eastern Indonesian region. It forces people in Eastern Indonesian region become consumptive. The potential market in Eastern Indonesian region is very large and still very possible to be explored deeper that could be an opportunity for PT AP Logistik Surabaya to attract the customers. This research used both methods of data analysis using simple linear regression analysis, correlation analysis, determinant coefficient analysis and hypothesis testing. The sample was 80 respondents taken from PT AP Logistik Surabaya customer who ship their cargo to Eastern Indonesian region. From the analysis and discussion shows the impact of potential market towards shipping cargo volume which is indicated by a simple linear regression equation is Y = 32,251 + 0.456X, if the Potential Market (X) value is zero (0) or constant, the value of Shipping Cargo Volume (Y) will equal by 32,251. Based on the analysis of the correlation coefficient r = 0,483, meaning that there is influence between (X) and (Y) positive direction and moderate correlation. Determinant coefficient test shows 20.3%, while the remaining is 76.7% which is explained by other variables or factors that is not included in this model. The test result shows that the hypothesis is tscore >ttable (4.8712 > 1.665). Then, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is significant relationship between potential market towards shipping cargo volume.

Abstract

Human Resources of better known as the workforce is one of important factor that must be considered by the company in order to achieve its goals. It is needed the company’s ability to manage resources in a planned, especially human resource as the company’s executive power to generate power operational effectiveness and efficiency in any activities of the company. One factor that is important to note the company’s management in an effort to improve the quality of human resources, so the impact of increased labor productivity is a factor of discipline and compensation.The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of discipline and compensation to labor productivity. The study design using hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression analysis method, to determine the magnitude of the relationship of independent variables on the dependent variable. In this study , data collection is done by spreading the census questionnaire to 36 employees of PT. Marindo Jaya Abadi, which of 36 questionnaire distributed a total of 36 answered in full by the employee and can be analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of this study concluded that the first, the discipline has a strong relationship with work productivity. Second, compensation has a strong relationship with work productivity. Third, discipline and motivation jointly strong associated with work productivity.

Abstract

Many studies have examined the value of strategic alignment on company’s performance in general, though the study of the information system value on other factors such as efficiency and productivity are still limited. The purpose of the study is to examine freight transportation related to its business strategy, information system strategy, Website information system effectiveness, organizational culture, and organizational effectiveness. The sample of the study was taken from 30 goods transportation companies. The data collection used 150 respondents consist of 50 academicians and 100 practitioners. The data analysis used hierarchical regression. The results show that the level of alignment of business strategy and information system affects the level of users’ satisfaction of the company’s website information system. The results also show that the level of users’ satisfaction of Web information system mediates the relationship between business strategy and information system of the company’s efficiency and productivity. The research findings do not support the role of organizational culture as a moderator of the relationship between Website information system and organizational effectiveness, although it shows the positive relationship between these variables.
