Abstract

This activity aims to revitalise the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) teachers in improving the effectiveness of learning, caregiving, and counselling services through a genetic intelligence approach. The study was conducted at MTs Madrasatul Qur’an Tebuireng Jombang as part of a Community Service Programme (PKM). Observations and interviews identified three main problems: (1) 19 out of 21 teachers experienced difficulties in implementing differentiated learning due to challenges in recognising students’ characteristics; (2) student conflicts in the form of violence or bullying were not handled optimally; and (3) 4 out of 5 counselling teachers had not yet fully understood students’ potential and problems. The intervention was carried out through training in genetic intelligence based on the STIFIn intelligence model and learning strategies tailored to students’ characteristics. This community service programme consisted of (1) Genetic Intelligence Training, and (2) Learning Strategy Training. Experimental quantitative statistical tests through pre-test and post-test results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding, with an average post-test score increase of 15% in genetic intelligence training and 19% in learning strategy training. The training had a positive impact on enhancing teachers’ competences in (a) recognising students’ potential and learning styles, (b) resolving student conflicts, and (c) providing more targeted and effective counselling services. Furthermore, this approach can be disseminated to other similar educational institutions.

Abstract

Abstract: This article intends to describe the contribution of pesantren in educating thelife of the nation in the perpective of Pesantren Tebuireng. History has proven that therole and contribution of pesantren in the life of the nation and state, especiallyeducation. The role of pesantren in the national education system is as a major pillar.Its contribution in national education is not only administrative but also substantiveaspects of morality. As a pillar of national education, pesantren is able to worktogether in solving national problems through the role of education. Instilling nationalideology through education is part of the role of pesantren through the doctrine ofpesantren values. Various types of pesantren, both salaf and modern, all contribute tobuilding character in society. Because the basic character of pesantren is moral-basedhuman development. Pesantren Tebuireng is one of thousands of Islamic boardingschools that have an important role in educating the life of the nation.

Abstract

Learning is an activity designed to create a person's state of being able to seek knowledge well. Learning is very important because every human being needs to study religion. Studying Islam cannot be separated from referring to the hadith books of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. In Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Huda Tanjunganom, for example, yellow books such as Bulughul Maram are taught to students. This observation aims to describe how the study of the book of Bulughul Maram at MA Miftahul Huda Tanjunganom can improve students' understanding of fiqh. This research is included in the category of field research with a qualitative approach and descriptive methods. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with informants such as Madrasah Heads, teachers, and students. The results of the study resulted in students' understanding of fiqh increasing after participating in the study of this book, as evidenced by tests that showed significant changes. Although learning is going well, challenges arise from the lack of interest in learning students. However, thanks to the hard work of teachers, this challenge was successfully overcome and students' understanding of fiqh increased after participating in the study of the book of Bulughul Maram.

Abstract

Sekolah mempunyai peranan penting dalam menanamkan sikap toleransi. Penanaman sikap toleransi dapat dilaksanakan melalui pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam agar kehidupan siswa dikalangan sekolah menrefleksikan sikap menghargai, menghormati, dan menerima perbedaan yang ada. Maksud dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana edukasi keberagaman: strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam menyemai sikap toleransi pada siswa di SMA PGRI 1 Jombang. Studi kasus diterapkan pada metodologi ini, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pencapaian hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut: 1)Edukasi keberagaman di SMA PGRI 1 Jombang adalah sikap menerima dengan memberikan pemahaman, kesempatan dan kebebasan untuk menganut serta beribadah sesuai dengan agamanya masing-masing. 2)Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan guru pendidikan agama Islam di SMA PGRI 1 Jombang adalah strategi pembelajaran afektif. 3)Implementasi strategi edukasi keberagaman yang diterapkan oleh guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam menyemai sikap toleransi pada siswa di SMA PGRI 1 Jombang adalah pertama, strategi pembiasaan, guru membiasakan berdoa bersama sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran berdasarkan keyakinan tiap individu. Setiap awal pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam, guru membiasakan memberikan edukasi kepada para siswa. Kedua, strategi keteladanan, guru pendidikan agama Islam ketika bertemu dengan siswa yang non muslim selalu saling menyapa. Guru pendidikan agama Islam selalu mengucapakan dan mengakui hari-hari besar dari agama lain. Guru pendidikan agama Islam memberikan preferensi ke siswa yang berbeda keyakinan ingin tetap berada dikelas atau ingin ke perpustakaan selama pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam.

Abstract

Pendidikan di masa pandemi covid-19 menghadirkan serangkaian tantangan dan tuntutan secara etis di ruang online. Aktivitas online semakin merasuki kehidupan praktis di semua lini kehidupan manusia. Indikasi peningkatan aktivitas ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, meskipun demikian para ahli teknologi digital mengakui bahwa efek yang tepat dari teknologi yang muncul di masa depan tidak pasti dan tetap tidak diketahui. Ruang informasi yang semakin terbuka juga menghadirkan fanatisme pendapat pada masing-masing kelompok dan golongan sehingga menghadirkan perdebatan yang seringkali mengabaikan etika. Perilaku beragama pun terpengaruh melalui komunikasi online yang menembus batas lokalitas budaya dan agama, sehingga dibutuhkan filter pengetahuan dan etik berbasis moderasi untuk mengontrol hal tersebut. Urgensi moderasi beragama sebagai kontrol etik adalah untuk menjamin kerukunan dan kesatuan sebuah bangsa di tengah keragaman yang semakin tampak di era digital. Sehingga pendidikan yang diarahkan pada penanaman perilaku kebajikan di dunia maya memberikan peluang terbaik dalam menciptakan kosakata moral yang dapat membimbing masyarakat menuju kehidupan yang baik di abad ke-21. Tujuan artikel ini adalah menawarkan garis besar dari model pendidikan Islam yang didasarkan pada teori neo-Aristotelian. Sebuah tawaran berbasis etika yang menggambarkan bagaimana kualitas moderasi beragama dapat dikembangkan melalui pendidikan moral.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of integrating religious moderation and the preservation of local culture in the context of Pesantren Tebuireng. Through an approach that combines Islamic education and Sufi values, this article reveals how the synergy between the two can shape a more moderate understanding of religion while simultaneously preserving and nurturing local cultural richness. The article explains how Pesantren Tebuireng, as an Islamic educational institution, has successfully harmonized the practice of religious moderation with the preservation of local cultural values through the teachings of Sufism. Using literature analysis and case studies, we identify how this integration influences the understanding of religion and supports the preservation of local culture. The research results indicate that this approach helps shape individuals who practice religion in a moderate way while promoting the preservation of a rich local culture. The integration of Islamic education and Sufi teachings paves the way for improved interfaith dialogue and understanding. This article provides insights into how these practices can be applied in other locations to achieve harmony between religion and culture.

Abstract

This article examines the integration of local wisdom values in Islamic education at Pesantren Tebuireng as an effort to build social harmony, using Pierre Bourdieu's Theory of Cultural Socialization as an analytical framework. Bourdieu emphasizes that educational institutions, such as pesantren, play a crucial role in the reproduction and preservation of culture through habitus, which refers to patterns of thinking, acting, and feeling shaped by the social environment. This study explores how Pesantren Tebuireng implements local values such as tolerance, mutual cooperation, and respect for cultural diversity in its educational process, and how these values are reproduced and preserved in the daily lives of the students. The philosophy of education at Pesantren Tebuireng, influenced by the thoughts of Hadratussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy'ari, plays a key role in shaping the habitus of students, enabling them to accommodate differences, maintain interfaith harmony, and contribute to social harmony. The results of this study show that education based on local wisdom at Pesantren Tebuireng not only strengthens the cultural and religious identity of the students but also contributes to creating a more tolerant and harmonious society amidst diversity.Keywords: Local wisdom, Pesantren Tebuireng, habitus, Pierre Bourdieu, social harmony, tolerance, Islamic education.

Abstract

Interaksi sosial siswa di lingkungan sekolah yang majemuk memerlukan penguatan nilai-nilai toleransi agar tercipta hubungan yang harmonis dan inklusif. Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki peran strategis dalam menanamkan nilai toleransi sebagai bagian dari karakter keagamaan dan sosial peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran nilai-nilai toleransi dalam meningkatkan kualitas interaksi sosial siswa melalui pembelajaran PAI di SMA Darul Ulum Tapen Jombang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus, melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari siswa, guru PAI, dan kepala sekolah. Data dianalisis secara induktif untuk memahami dinamika penerapan toleransi dalam kehidupan sosial siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu berinteraksi secara terbuka dan harmonis melalui berbagai aktivitas seperti diskusi kelompok dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, meskipun terdapat hambatan seperti rasa canggung dan kecemasan sosial. Sekolah telah merespons tantangan ini dengan program konseling dan pelatihan keterampilan sosial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai toleransi dalam pembelajaran PAI berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas interaksi sosial siswa dan memperkuat semangat persatuan di lingkungan sekolah

Abstract

Sexual education is an important aspect in efforts to prevent sexual violence inhigher education. However, the understanding of sexual education is often limited and notintegrated with Islamic values. This research aims to assist PPKS Task Force students inunderstanding sexual education through an approach based on the book Tarbiyatul Aulad byAbdullah Nasih Ulwan. This approach emphasizes Islamic values that are moderate, balanced,and relevant to the current context. This mentoring activity uses a participatory approachwhich includes the preparation stage, introduction stage, deepening stage, implementationstage and reflection evaluation stage. The results of the activity show that the Task Forcestudents' understanding of sexual violence and sexual education has increased. increasedunderstanding of the concept of Islamic-based sexual education and understanding of the issueof sexual violence. The integration of Islamic values in sexual education through the Book ofTarbiyatul Uulad has a positive impact on strengthening the capacity of PPKS Task Forcestudents in Higher Education.

Abstract

Sexual education is a crucial aspect in shaping the character and awareness of university students regarding ethics and moral responsibility in personal and social life. However, the implementation of sexual education in higher education institutions often failas to meet the diverse needs of students, who come from different backgrounds, levels of understanding, and learning needs. Thus tudy aims to anakyze the need for differentiated instructional materials in sexual education for university students, focusing on differentiation in terms of learning readiness, interests, learning styles, levels of understanding. The research method used is a needs survey involving 46 students from the PGMI study programs, using a questionnaire to collect data. The results show that although most students have previously studied the material, their understanding remains at varying level – some high, some moderate, and most low. On the other hand, the majority of students expressed a high level of interest in sexual education from an Islamic prespective, yet demonstrated diverse preferences in strategies, media, and types of learning tasks. These findings highlight the importance of developing instructional materials that can accommodate students diverse characteristic through a differentiated approach, in term of content, procces, and product. Thus, the development of differentiated instructional materials will not only enhance the effectiveness of learning, but also encourage active student engagement and strengtrhen their understanding of Islamic values related to sexual issues in a reflective, responsible, and applicable manner.
