Abstract

Sexual education is an important aspect in efforts to prevent sexual violence inhigher education. However, the understanding of sexual education is often limited and notintegrated with Islamic values. This research aims to assist PPKS Task Force students inunderstanding sexual education through an approach based on the book Tarbiyatul Aulad byAbdullah Nasih Ulwan. This approach emphasizes Islamic values that are moderate, balanced,and relevant to the current context. This mentoring activity uses a participatory approachwhich includes the preparation stage, introduction stage, deepening stage, implementationstage and reflection evaluation stage. The results of the activity show that the Task Forcestudents' understanding of sexual violence and sexual education has increased. increasedunderstanding of the concept of Islamic-based sexual education and understanding of the issueof sexual violence. The integration of Islamic values in sexual education through the Book ofTarbiyatul Uulad has a positive impact on strengthening the capacity of PPKS Task Forcestudents in Higher Education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran nahwu dan shorof melalui Metode 33 dalam meningkatkan kemampuan santri pondok pesantren Al-Hasyim dalam membaca kitab kuning. Kitab kuning sebagai literatur klasik berbahasa Arab tanpa harakat menuntut penguasaan tata bahasa Arab yang kuat, khususnya dalam aspek nahwu dan shorof. Metode 33 merupakan pendekatan sistematis yang menekankan pada penguasaan 33 kaidah pokok yang mencakup struktur kalimat (Nahwu) dan perubahan bentuk kata (Shorof). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Metode 33 mampu mempermudah proses pembelajaran, membantu santri memahami kaidah bahasa Arab secara praktis, serta mengaplikasikannya dalam membaca teks-teks keagamaan. Dengan pendekatan ini, santri tidak hanya memahami teori, tetapi juga mampu membaca kitab kuning secara mandiri dan tepat. Implementasi Metode ini terbukti efektif dan relevan untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di lingkungan pesantren, khususnya bagi pemula. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan model pembelajaran kitab kuning di pesantren-pesantren lain.

Abstract

Morals are traits that are inherent in the soul and trigger spontaneous actions, where ImamlAl-Ghazalijinjthejbook Ihya' 'Ulumiddin emphasizes thejimportancejof accustoming children to good morals from an early age, remembering that a child's heart is like a blank piece of paper that can easily absorb everything, so this habituation is a must for parents as full responsibility for God's mandate to care for, raise and educate children with love. This research, which uses a documentation approach with primary data from Al-Ghazali's writings and secondary data from relevant sources, Focusesjonjtwojmainjquestions: what is the concept of good and bad parenting patternsjaccordingjtojImamjAl-GhazalijinjIhya' 'Ulumiddin.The research results show that good parenting according to Al-Ghazali includes cultivating manners, developing noble character, prioritizing religious education, monitoring the social environment, providing role models, teaching balance injthejworldjandjthejherejafter,jasjwelljas education with love and wisdom. On the other hand, bad parenting is characterized by tolerating bad habits, neglect, allowing children to mix with negative environments, excessive criticism, not teaching manners, worldly indulgence, not providing religious education, allowing children to take other people's rights, and not maintaining good manners in speaking.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role and influence of caregivers in shaping Muslim intellectuals who follow Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School. The main focus of this study is to understand the role of Father Kyai Ahmad Masruh as a caregiver of the Islamic boarding school in guiding students to develop an understanding of religion in accordance with the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, and how he becomes a role model who provides examples in everyday life. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School. There are two focuses in this study, namely: (1) What is the role of caregivers in teaching the aqidah of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School? and (2) What is the role and influence of caregivers in shaping Muslim intellectuals who follow Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah at the Attahdzib Islamic Boarding School? The results of the study indicate that Father Kyai Ahmad Masruh has a very important role in forming quality Muslim intellectuals, by teaching and exemplifying the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah both in words and deeds. In addition, the material taught through the yellow book in this Islamic boarding school is also in line with the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, thus forming students who are not only intelligent in religious knowledge but also have noble morals. This study is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic boarding school education and enrich studies on the role of caregivers in forming the character of Muslim intellectuals based on the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah.

Abstract

Learning the yellow book as a legacy of classical Islamic knowledge is still an important tradition in the world of Islamic boarding schools. In the midst of the development of the era and the challenges of understanding classical Arabic, Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School applies the Takhassus method as a special approach to deepen the ability of students to understand the texts of the yellow book. This study specifically focuses on 1. How is the Takhassus program in learning the yellow book at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School? 2. How is the Analysis of the Implementation of the Takhassus Method in Learning the Yellow Book? 3. What are the Inhibiting and Supporting Factors of the Takhassus Method in Learning the Yellow Book? The method used is qualitative research with a field study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation of ongoing learning activities. The main informants consisted of teachers and students who were directly involved in the Takhassus program. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the Takhassus program involved a participant selection process, intensive learning scheduling, and a grammar-based learning approach (nahwu and sharaf) and translation. This program was able to improve students' ability to read and understand the book in depth. However, there were several obstacles such as time constraints, variations in students' initial abilities, and the need to improve the quality of teaching staff. In conclusion, the Takhassus program is an effective strategy in improving the quality of yellow book learning in Islamic boarding schools, as long as it is supported by good teaching management and a sustainable program.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of the thoughts of Hadratussyaikh KH. Muhammad Hasyim Asy’ari into the curriculum of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at Hasyim Asy’ari University, Tebuireng. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, the research highlights the actualisation of pesantren values inherited from KH. Hasyim Asy’ari within the context of contemporary Islamic higher education. The main focus is on three core pillars: religious moderation, character development, and the preservation of pesantren traditions, which form the foundation of a sustainable Islamic education vision. The findings indicate that Hadratussyaikh’s ideas—such as the importance of manners (adab), sincerity, accessible scholarship, and a moderate religious spirit—have been integrated into both the curriculum and learning practices. These values not only shape a religious and inclusive academic atmosphere but also strengthen students' identities as agents of change rooted in traditional Islamic scholarship. This integration is reflected in course content and teaching methods, as well as students' religious and social activities, all directed toward forming academically excellent individuals with strong morals and adaptability to contemporary challenges. Thus, this study affirms that KH. Hasyim Asy’ari’s ideas are both relevant and strategic in formulating a model of Islamic religious education that bridges tradition and modernity. The results are expected to serve as a reference for the development of contextual and transformative pesantren-based curricula

Abstract

This study aims to design, implement, and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the textbook Hid?yatul Q?ri’ f? Qir?ati ar-Rasmil Utsm?ni lil Mubtadi’, based on the Ummi Method, in enhancing elementary madrasah students’ understanding of the Qur’anic writing structure and recitation system by authentic sanad and rasm. The research contributes to the discourse of foundational Qur’anic education, particularly in the introduction of the Uthm?nic script (rasm ‘Utsm?n?) and dhabt rules as employed in the Madinah Mushaf. The lack of structured learning media that integrates contextual learning approaches with the authentic characteristics of the Mushaf motivated the development of this textbook. This study adopts a research and development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model—Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate—systematically applied at MIN 1 Jombang. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, expert validation surveys, and product trials involving 15 fifth-grade students who had previously studied ghor?b and tajw?d using the Ummi Method. The validation results showed an average feasibility score of 86.21%, and field testing indicated significant improvement in the accuracy of recitation and recognition of dhabt symbols. The study’s main contribution lies in pioneering authoritative instructional media on rasm and dhabt for early-level education by combining the strength of qir?’ah transmission (sanad) with a pedagogical design that is visual, repetitive, and auditory. This textbook extends the scope of the Ummi Method toward standardized advanced tajw?d learning. The findings demonstrate that integrating classical methodologies with Mushaf Madinah-based instructional design can establish a strong foundation of recitational accuracy from an early age, making it relevant for adoption by other Qur’anic educational institutions nationally.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the concept of religious moderation among students, describe the implementation of Islamic religious education, and analyze the integration of religious moderation principles within Islamic education at SD Negeri Grogol 2 Diwek Jombang. It is a field study employing a qualitative descriptive approach. Data sources were selected through purposive sampling, followed by snowball sampling to obtain broader and deeper insights. Data collection was conducted through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The research findings indicate that the application of religious moderation concepts has been effectively implemented, as reflected in their consistent integration into daily practices. This is further supported by extracurricular and social programs that enhance children’s understanding of religious moderation, particularly in how they coexist within multicultural environments. Islamic education is delivered through classroom instruction and is supported by diniyah and mulok learning programs. The principle of religious moderation is embedded in Islamic education through content that emphasizes moderation, as conveyed by teachers. It also includes how students apply religious knowledge in diverse social settings—across differences of race, ethnicity, and religion.

Abstract

Abstract : The problem that will be discussed in this study is about how Teacher Personality Competence is Based on Character Education in the book of Adab Al-Dunya wa Al-Din. Based on these problems, this study aims to find out how Teacher Personality Competence is Based on Character Education in the Book of Adab Al-Dunya wa Al-Din. Based on its characteristics, the research is library research which is classified as a qualitative research method. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, namely by emphasizing its analysis on the process of concluding comparisons and on the analysis of the dynamics of the relationship of the phenomena observed using scientific logic. Almost all research figures agree that data collection in qualitative research is done by interviews, observation and documentation studies. In the context of library research, the interviews and observations were changed to text and discourse analysis. Based on the results of the study which consisted of three research focuses, namely: First, Teacher Personality in the Book of Adab al-Dunya wa al-Din which contains things that need to be studied or maybe emulated about having humble qualities and not being arrogant, teaching the knowledge they know , knowing one's own capacity, practicing their knowledge, not being stingy with their knowledge and recognizing the potential of their students. Second, Character Education in the Book of Adab al-Dunya wa al-Din which contains things that need to be studied or maybe emulated by teachers about being not boring, being obedient and contributing to leaders and being assertive, maintaining the sanctity of material that is doubtful, teaching because hoping for the pleasure of Allah SWT, advising, loving, providing convenience and helping students, not being rude, insulting and taking their students for granted, and not making their students despair. Third, about matters relating to teacher personality competencies based on character education in the book Adab al-Dunya wa al-Din.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca kitab kuning, khususnya Matn Taqrib, di kalangan santri baru Pondok Pesantren Putri Al-Mahfudz Seblak Jombang. Kondisi ini menuntut penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Salah satu metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Al-Miftah Lil Ulum, yang diadaptasi dari sistem pendidikan di Pesantren Sidogiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi lapangan, dan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah pada proses Penerapan metode serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kemampuan baca kitab bagi santri baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 82 santri baru, hanya 6 orang yang mampu membaca kitab saat pertama kali masuk. Sebanyak 76 santri lainnya mengikuti kelas Al-Miftah. Penerapan metode ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kitab dalam waktu relatif singkat. Dalam penelitiannya ditemukan bahwa keberhasilan metode ini didukung oleh penggunaan materi yang ringkas, tampilan visual yang menarik, integrasi lagu, serta keterlibatan aktif guru. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti terbatasnya cakupan materi, kurangnya fokus pada pemaknaan teks, dan ketidaksesuaian untuk santri usia dewasa. Oleh karena itu, metode ini dinilai efektif bagi pemula, namun memerlukan penyesuaian lebih lanjut untuk kelompok usia yang lebih tinggi.
