Abstract

Primary dysmenorrhea is pain during menstruation period due to high levels of prostaglandins, especially prostaglandin F2α in epithelial cells. MungBean Extract Drinks contain several nutrients including vitamin C, calcium, carbohydrates and flavonoids as anti-depressants and anti-inflammatory agent. Stretching is a relaxation technique that can helps relieve menstrual pain in the abdominal part by increasing the production of endorphins which function as neurotransmitters. To determine the effect of Mung Bean ExtractDrinks and Stretching on primary dysmenorrhea (primary menstrual pain) in adolescent girls stressed. This type of open-label non-randomized controlled trial used 87female adolescents who experienced primary menstrual pain with moderate and severe stress levels from two Islamic boarding schools in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, which were divided into 3 groups, one group as the control and two groups as the experiment. The experiment of 29people with pre and post-test. Mung bean extract drinks were given 250ml/day, otherwise stretching was given 1x/day for 7days before menstruation. Control and experimental group was observed for 1 month. Measurement of menstrual pain scale using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) assessment sheet. Data analysis uses T-test. The mean primary menstrual pain in adolescents for MungBean Extract Drinks with moderate stress levels was 1.31±1.32 and the difference before and after mung bean extract drinks experience is significant at p=0.004 while at severe stress levels was 1.69±1.54 and the difference between before and after mung bean extract drinks experience is significant at p=0.001. The mean primary menstrual pain in adolescents for stretching experience with moderate stress levels was 2.50±1.93 and the difference before and after stretching experience is significant at p=0.008 while the severe stress level was 2.05±1.80 and the difference before and after stretching experience is significant at p≤0.001. The multivariate test with linear regression revealed that mung bean extract drinks contributed y= (-)138X1+4.897(p=0.001) and related stretching contributed y= (-)2.517X1+6.276(p=0.001). MungBean ExtractDrinks and Stretching will affect to the reduction of primary dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls both at moderate and severe stress levels

Abstract

The ability to use English is an important ability to be achieved in the process of learning a foreign language. The Nutritionist Study Program aims to develop students' language skills both orally and written. With oral skills, students are expected to master a number of vocabulary and sentence structures and be able to speak actively; With written skills, students are expected to be able to read and understand language texts, especially those closely related to the material being studied.This research was conducted to obtain data related to the perceptions of students of Nutritionist Study Program, Faculty of Health, UNU NTB.The learning process carried out, which is divided into five parts, namely: perceptions of English for the students, related Faculty of Health, UNU NTB: the purpose of learning English language proficiency, teaching materials from the language proficiency courses, application of language proficiency teaching methodologies, lecturers of English language proficiency courses perceptions and student perceptions of evaluation techniques used by lecturers of language proficiency courses in the Nutritionist Study Program, Faculty of Health, UNU NTB.The results of this study are expected be an evaluation material for the English learning process in the UNU NTB and future curriculum development.The ability to use English is an important ability to be achieved in the process of learning a foreign language. Abstract

Hasil riset kesehatan dasar Tahun 2018 menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi gizi kurang pada balita di Indonesia sebesar 17,7% dan Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat menduduki urutan kedua tertinggi yaitu sebesar 29,5%. Berdasarkan data Dinas Kesehatan Lombok Barat Tahun 2019 diketahui bahwa angka kejadian gizi kurang terbesar pada wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dasan Tapen yaitu Desa Beleke Kabupaten Lombok Barat sebesar 26%. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan mengenai gizi seimbang pada ibu balita gizi kurang di Desa Beleke Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Kurangnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai kesehatan balita serta menganggap semua makanan sama tanpa memperhatikan nilai gizi dari makanan yang diberikan menyebabkan anak mudah mengalami status gizi kurang. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, edukasi dan kampanye tentang pentingnya gizi seimbang bagi balita sangat penting untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Program Studi Ilmu Gizi Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama NTB berupa penyuluhan gizi seimbang yang diadakan di Desa Beleke Kabupaten Lombok Barat sebagai wujud pelaksanaan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Desa Beleke Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Jumlah ibu balita gizi kurang beserta kader Desa Beleke yang mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan dengan tema gizi seimbang sebanyak 20 orang dengan hasil kegiatan yaitu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan ibu terkait pentingnya gizi seimbang dalam pola pemberian makan balita gizi kurang. Kesimpulan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan pada ibu balita gizi kurang di Desa Beleke Kabupaten Lombok Barat.Kata Kunci : Penyuluhan; Gizi Seimbang; Ibu Balita; Balita Gizi Kurang.

Abstract

Background: One of Covid-19 impacts was the lowering community economic level. This phenomenon affected the ability of purchasing better food. SSGI Data (2021), presented that 22.4% of toddlers in the NTB Province were categorized underweight. West Lombok Regency were the first rank from tenth regencies in NTB for underweight prevalence toddlers (20,26%). Underweight were caused by inadequate breastfeeding, erroneous of MP-ASI given, and several infectious desease. Purpose: This study aimed to determinee the effect of emo-demo nutritional education on thee underweight toddler’s nutrition status during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Lombok Regency. Methods: This quantitative research was a Quasi-Experimental with Pre-Post Control Design. This research was conducted from June to August 2022. The total sample were 32 people whom divided into control and experiment groups based on inclusion criteria; toddlers aged 6-59 months, underweight toddlers cared by their mothers, Respondents were from Batu Kuta Village, West Lombok Regency Purposive sampling were used to gather the data. Data were analyzed using paired sample t test and multiple linear regression. Results: The results showed that the underweight toddler’s nutrition status gained after nutritional class intervention using emo-demo method. There were 68.8% of toddlers with heavy weight based on the BB/U index (p=0.000), 87.5% of toddlers with normal weight based on the TB/U index (p=0.000) and 75% of toddlers with fair based on nutritional status nutrition index BB/TB (p=0.686). Conclusion: The nutrition class intervention gained the nutritional status of underweight toddlers based on the BB/U and TB/U indices during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Background: One of the efforts to overcome the problem of stunting in toddlers, especially in Central Lombok Regency, is to improve the nutritional status of mothers during pregnancy, especially mothers with chronic energy deficiency (KEK). The PMT program for pregnant women has been regulated in Regulation of the Ministry of Health Number 51 of 2016, where pregnant women with KEK conditions are given a nutrition improvement program that has been set by the government, namely by providing additional food (PMT) in the form of biscuits. Objectives: Developing additional food products for pregnant women in the form of biscuits using local food ingredients sourced from the koro sword bean. Methods: The research design used a randomized block design (RBD) with 3 treatments (K=3), 1 experimental unit and 3 repetitions, so the total number of trials was 3×1×3=9. Koro bean flour was also added to Canavalia Biscuit products with different doses, and then the results were analyzed, including tests of acceptability and nutrient content including energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates and calcium. Results: The results showed that adding 50 g of jack bean flour increased the acceptability of respondents in terms of color, aroma, texture, and taste. The addition of 50 g koro bean flour to Canavalia biscuit products increases the nutritional content, including energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates as well as calcium. The best nutritional content of "Canavalia Biscuits" in the group with the addition of 50% mustard greens includes energy 479 kcal, protein 26 g, fat 21.82 g, carbohydrates 76.66 g, calcium 159.70 mg. Conclusions: The proportion of the addition of jack beans flour affects the acceptability and increases the nutritional content of "Canavalia Biscuits" including color, aroma, texture and taste.

Abstract

Balita merupakan kelompok yang paling rentan mengalami masalah gizi, terutama masalah kekurangan gizi seperti kurus, pendek, dan gizi kurang. Kurang gizi pada anak juga mempengaruhi kemampuan kognitif dan kecerdasan anak, serta juga menyebabkan rendahnya produktivitas anak. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurang gizi membawa dampak negatif pada balita, seperti mengganggu pertumbuhan fisik maupun mental, yang dapat daya tahan, menyebabkan hilangnya masa hidup sehat balita, serta meningkatkan angka kesakitan, kecacatan, hingga angka kematian pada balita. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Non eksperimental serta bersifat Cross Sectional. Pada Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kuantitatif dengan rancangan deskriptif. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tanjung Karang. Dengan populasi sebanyak 103 orang balita wasting, dan pengambilan sampel dengan metode random sampling sebanyak 75 orang responden. Uji yang di gunakan yaitu uji spearmen rank dengan Analisis univariat, bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pengetahuan gizi ibu dalam kategori kurang (37,3%), kepatuhan pemberian PMT–P dalam kategori kurang (49%). Berdasarkan uji spearman rank menunjukkan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi ibu (p-value = <0,001), kepatuhan pemberian PMT–P (p – value = <0,003). dari output spss juga di ketahui koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,6 artinya tingkat kekuatan korelasi / hubungan ke dua variabel adalah hubungan yang kuat.

Abstract

Managing non-recyclable plastic waste has become a major challenge in preserving the environment, particularly in educational settings such as Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Ulum. To address this issue, a community service program was conducted with the aim of enhancing students' knowledge and skills in processing non-recyclable plastic waste into eco-friendly paving blocks. The program employed several methods, including Focus Group Discussions (FGD), outreach, training, technology application, mentoring, evaluation, and program sustainability. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students' understanding and skills. Pretest scores averaged 2.2 for knowledge of non-recyclable plastic waste, which increased to 4.5 in the posttest. Understanding of the environmental impact of non-recyclable plastic waste improved from 2.5 to 4.7, while skills in making paving blocks increased from 1.4 to 4.1. Moreover, awareness of sustainable waste management rose from 1.7 to 4.2, and the willingness to continue paving block production improved from 1.2 to 3.9. This program successfully educated the surrounding community and provided a tangible solution to reduce environmental pollution. The program's sustainability is supported by the Trash Hero student group, which actively continues the plastic waste processing activities to produce paving blocks for use within the school environment.

Abstract

Peningkatan kesehatan anak sangat penting karena mereka merupakan generasi penerus bangsa. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah perbaikan asupan gizi melalui kebiasaan sarapan pagi. Sarapan pagi berperan dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar dan mendukung prestasi akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi dan status gizi terhadap prestasi belajar pada remaja di SMP Negeri Kota Mataram.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII dan VIII dengan sampel sebanyak 84 responden berusia 13-15 tahun yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan pengukuran antropometri, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan sarapan pagi dengan status gizi (p=0,01; ?=0,05), hubungan antara sarapan pagi dengan prestasi belajar (p=0,04), serta hubungan antara status gizi dengan prestasi belajar (p=0,00; ?=0,05).Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kebiasaan sarapan pagi dan status gizi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa, orang tua, dan pihak sekolah mengenai pentingnya sarapan pagi guna mendukung kesehatan dan prestasi akademik remaja.

Abstract

Kurang Energi Kronik (KEK) merupakan salah satu masalah gizi pada remaja, wanita usia subur (WUS) dan ibu hamil dengan rentang usia 20-35 tahun yang terjadi akibat ketidakseimbangan asupan gizi secara menahun. Kebaruan penelitian ini karena melihat pengaruh pelatihan LILA terhadap tingkat keterampilan mengenai kurang energi kronik (KEK) pada mahasiswa program studi S1 Gizi Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama NTB. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan (skills) mahasiswa S1 Gizi UNU NTB mengenai pemanfaatan pengukuran LILA sebagai langkah deteksi dini kejadian kurang energi kronik (KEK). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Open–Label Non Randomized Controlled Trial Design yang dilakukan di UNU NTB dengan sampel penelitian mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Gizi UNU NTB semester IV sampai VI yang berjumlah 32 orang terbagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh pelatihan LILA terhadap peningkatan keterampilan mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Gizi UNU NTB dalam pemanfaatan media pita LILA sebagai pengukuran Lingkar Lengan Atas (LILA) untuk mengidentifikasi kejadian Kurang Energi Kronik (KEK) baik pada remaja, wanita usia subur (WUS) maupun pada ibu hamil (p=000). Berdasarkan hasil uji Regresi Linear Berganda diketahui bahwa pelatihan lingkar lengan atas (LILA) memberikan pengaruh 85 kali lebih besar terhadap peningkatan keterampilan mengenai kurang energi kronik (KEK) pada mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Gizi UNU NTB dimana R = 0.856 dengan p-value = 0.000. Kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh pelatihan LILA terhadap tingkat keterampilan mengenai KEK pada mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Gizi UNU NTB.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan Lingkar Lengan Atas; Keterampilan; Mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Gizi UNU NTB.AbstractChronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) is one of the nutritional problems in adolescents, women of childbearing age (WUS), and pregnant women with an age range of 20-35 years which occurs due to a chronic imbalance in nutritional intake. The novelty of this research is that it looks at the effect of LILA training on skill levels regarding chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in undergraduate students of the Nutrition Study Program, Nahdlatul Ulama University, NTB. This study aims to improve the skills of Undergraduate Nutrition students at UNU NTB regarding the use of LILA measurements as an early detection step for chronic energy deficiency (KEK). This study used an Open-Label Non-Randomized Controlled Trial Design conducted at UNU NTB with a research sample of 32 students of the Nutrition Study Program UNU NTB semester IV to VI, which amounted to 32 people divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group and the control group. The results showed that there was an effect of LILA training on improving the skills of students of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program at UNU NTB in the use of LILA tape media as a measurement of Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) to identify the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) both in adolescents, women of childbearing age (WUS) and in pregnant women (p=000). Based on the results of the Multiple Linear Regression test, it is known that upper arm circumference training (LILA) has an 85 times greater effect on improving skills regarding chronic energy deficiency (KEK) in students of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program UNU NTB where R = 0.856 with p-value = 0.000. The conclusion is that there is an effect of LILA training on the level of skills regarding SEZ in students of the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program UNU NTB.

Abstract

 Status gizi lansia ditentukan oleh beragam faktor, diantaranya aktifitas fisik, tingkat pendidikan, status ekonomi, serta asupan karbohidrat, protein dan lemak.  Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara asupan zat gizi makro terhadap status gizi lansia. Kebaruan penelitian mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan asupan zat gizi makro dengan status gizi lansia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara asupan zat gizi makro (karbohidrat, protein dan lemak) dengan status gizi (IMT) pada lansia di Desa Jenggik Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional dan dilakukan pada bulan Januari hingga Maret 2022. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia binaan Kelompok Lansia Rumah Senja di Desa Jenggik Kabupaten Lombok Timur (total sampling) sebanyak 50 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar lansia memiliki asupan zat gizi makro yang kurang (karbohidrat 84%, protein 94% dan lemak 64%) dengan status gizi terbanyak sangat kurus (34%). Analisis data menggunakan uji Spearman menunjukkan bahwa p-value antara karbohidrat dengan status gizi adalah 0.012 (p0.05); protein dengan status gizi adalah 0.094 (p0.05); dan lemak dengan status gizi adalah 0.023 (p0.05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara asupan karbohidrat dan lemak dengan status gizi, namun tidak ada hubungan antara asupan protein dengan status gizi.Kata kunci: Lansia; Status gizi; Zat Gizi Makro. AbstractThe nutritional status of the elderly is determined by various factors, including physical activity, level of education, economic status, and intake of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.  Several studies have shown that there is a relationship between macronutrient intake and the nutritional status of the elderly. The novelty of the study found out whether there was a relationship between macronutrient intake and the nutritional status of the elderly. The purpose of this study was to see the relationship between the intake of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins and fats) with nutritional status (BMI) in the elderly in Jenggik Village, East Lombok Regency. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach and was conducted from January to March 2022. The samples in this study were all elderly assisted by the Rumah Senja Elderly Group in Jenggik Village, East Lombok Regency (total sampling) of 50 people. The data were analyzed using the Spearman test. The results showed that most of the elderly had a lack of macronutrient intake (84% carbohydrates, 94% protein and 64% fats) with the most nutritional status being very thin (34%). Data analysis using the Spearman test showed that the p-value between carbohydrates and nutritional status was 0.012 (p0.05); protein with nutritional status was 0.094 (p0.05); and fats with nutritional status was 0.023 (p0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between carbohydrate and fat intake and nutritional status, but there is no relationship between protein intake and nutritional status.
