Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Purwokerto ditinjau dari kemandirian belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII D dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Siswa dikelompokan kedalam 3 kelompok yaitu kelompok kemandirian belajar tinggi, kelompok kemandirian belajar sedang, dan kelompok kemandirian belajar rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan angket kemandirian belajar, tes kemampuan literasi matematika, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemandirian belajar tinggi cenderung mampu merumuskan masalah, menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta, prosedur dan penalaran, serta mampu menafsirkan, menerapkan, dan mengevaluasi hasil yang diperoleh. Siswa dengan kemandirian belajar sedang mampu merumuskan masalah dan menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta, prosedur, dan penalaran terhadap masalah yang diberikan. Siswa dengan kemandirian belajar rendah cenderung belum mampu memenuhi indikator kemampuan literasi matematika.

Abstract

Technological improvements in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 can be applied to learning mathematics as a medium of improving teacher performance. In addition, a pandemic situation forces teachers and students to implement online learning. One of the learning media that can help teachers in learning mathematics online is Socratic. The Socratic system generally consists of four basic components: acting humanely, thinking humanely, thinking rationally and acting rationally. For example, the Socratic can provide alternative solutions to the differential equations problems. Mathematics problems can be recorded by the Socratic through three main features:1) home screen, which is used to take pictures of solving the problem needed; 2) search results, the image that has been recorded will be searched for a solution through Socratic's artificial intelligence in internet database, and 3) an explanation, the search results that have been obtained, have their own explanation. Teachers and students as users may find the best solution for each explanation by the Socratic. Meanwhile, this study uses four stages of the literature review process:1) search for relevant literature, 2) evaluation and source selection, 3) identification of themes, and 4) outline of the structure of the writing. This paper systematically investigates the use of the Socratic as a technology application that can assist mathematical problems.

Abstract

Proses belajar matematika yang dilakukan di program studi Pendidikan Matematika, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, hendaknya mendukung kemampuan mahasiswa untuk mencari konsep dari belajar itu sendiri sebagai proses belajar mereka. Untuk menciptakan suasana belajar dimana mahasiswa dapat mencari ide dan konsep belajar matematika mereka sendiri perlu didukung oleh model pembelajaran yang dapat efektif untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut dan media pembelajaran guna alat bantu mahasiswa untuk memaksimalkan kemampuan matematika mereka. Penggunaan Example and Non-Example Learning Model dengan berbantuan media pemelajaran poster diharapkan dapat merubah kondisi belajar yang pasif menjadi aktif dan kreatif, menumbuhkembangkan kemampuan dalam pembelajaran secara umum, dan menciptakan kemampuan matematika secara khusus, seperti kemampuan koneksi matematika, serta mengubah pembelajaran yang teacher oriented ke student oriented. Oleh karena itu, dengan menggunakan Pembelajaran Example and Non-Example berbantuan media pembelajaran poster secara berulang-ulang di mata kuliah Teori Belajar dan Pembelajaran program studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan koneksi matematika mahasiswa.Kata Kunci : example and non-example, media pembelajaran poster, dan kemampuan koneksi matematis

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana permainan interaktif dapat diaplikasikan pada mata kuliah geometri analitik bidang melalui penerapan lesson study. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 siklus, setiap siklus terdari dari 3 tahap yaitu plan, do, see. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester I kelas A angkatan 2014 pendidikan matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Data penelitian ini yaitu melalui lembar observasi, rekaman video, portofolio, dan angket. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi aktif, dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dan inovasi pembelajaran dapat tumbuh melalui penerapan lesson study.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze students' mathematical errors from the written test of quadrilateral story problems. Students' mathematical errors were analyzed using the Newman Error Analysis (NEA) method. These mathematical errors are viewed from the student's learning style. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sumbang in the 2016/2017 academic year. Students are grouped into 3 groups of visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection techniques in this study used learning style questionnaires, quadrilateral written tests, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that students who have a visual learning style tend to experience errors at the problem reading, transformation, process skills, and inference stages. Students who have an auditory learning style tend to experience errors at the stage of understanding the questions, transformation, process skills and conclusions. Students who have a kinesthetic learning style have a tendency to make mistakes at all stages, namely reading questions, understanding questions, transformation, process skills and in the conclusion stage

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan revolusi industri 4.0 memberi dampak kepada dunia pendidikan dalam menerapkan teknologi dari segala aspek pembelajaran di sekolah. Making Indonesia 4.0 adalah salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk menyelaraskan kehidupan Indonesia dengan laju teknologi. Salah satu program dalam making Indonesia 4.0 adalah pendidikan 4.0 di Indonesia. Pendidikan 4.0 di Indonesia adalah program yang diciptakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan berlandaskan teknologi dalam aktivitasnya di pembelajaran kelas. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk mengetahui program pendidikan 4.0 di Indonesia dan dampak yang dihadapi dari pendidikan 4.0 di sekolah, khususnya di Muhammadiyah Ajibarang Middle School. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru Muhammadiyah Ajibarang Middle School sebanyak 36 orang. Evaluasi yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kuesioner pemahaman pengetahuan pendidikan 4.0. Hasil pelatihan ini adalah pemenuhan pendidikan 4.0 di Muhammadiyah Ajibarang Middle School dengan peningkatan pemahaman pengetahuan pendidikan 4.0 sebanyak 63% dari pengetahuan awal. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi alternatif penyelesaian masalah terkait penerapan pendidikan 4.0 di SMP Muhamamdiyah Ajibarang sebagai upaya terciptanya roadmap making Indonesia 4.0.Abstract: The application of the industrial revolution 4.0 has an impact on the field of education in adopting technology from all aspects of learning in schools. Making Indonesia 4.0 is one of the government's efforts to synchronize Indonesian living with the pace of technology. One of the programs in establishing Indonesia 4.0 is education 4.0 in Indonesia. Education 4.0 in Indonesia is a program established to improve the quality of education based on technology in its activities in classroom learning. The goal of this activity is to find out the 4.0 education program in Indonesia and the impact suffered by 4.0 education in schools, especially at Muhammadiyah Ajibarang Middle School. The participants of this exercise were instructors of Muhammadiyah Ajibarang Middle School as many as 36 people. The evaluation carried out in this activity was a questionnaire on comprehending education knowledge 4.0. The result of this training is the fulfillment of education 4.0 at Muhammadiyah Ajibarang Middle School with an increase in understanding of education 4.0 knowledge as much as 63 percent of starting knowledge. It is hoped that this activity can be an alternative to solving challenges linked to the implementation of education 4.0 at Muhamamdiyah Ajibarang Middle School as an effort to build a roadmap for making Indonesia 4.0.

Abstract

In the period of the last few decades, more complex technology have been integrated into our daily lives. Therefore, teachers are advocating that students BYOD (bring your own device). This aims are investigated the activities of students during the lesson, which enables teachers to evaluate their students' progress in learning. In addition to this, students' learning experiences and raise their levels of satisfaction with their education with Nearpod and the dynamic interaction that occurs between them. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis. Descriptive data for the questions and items were compiled in Excel, and included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The goal of this research is to explore how female students feel about using Nearpod in conjunction with a video-conferencing learning system on a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) learning platform. This study was conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (n = 78 students) and Purwokerto Secondary School in Central Java (n = 83 students and 9 teachers), during the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The objectives of this study required the development and administration of a questionnaire to all of the women enrolled in the "Mathematics Education" course. Researchers concluded from their study that students are open to using their own devices in class and are willing to benefit from the affordances provided by the BYOD platform and the Nearpod to engage in active learning during lectures. Therefore, there has to be more work done by universities to figure out which of the growing elements of education should be prioritized in order to create the best possible conditions for instruction and learning.

Abstract

In today's technologically advanced classrooms, interaction between students and teachers can be facilitated with the help of QuizWhizzer. In the context of a game-based learning approach, a descriptive study methodology was utilized to investigate students' responses to educational games like QuizWhizzer. Beginning with the preparation of learning tools to direct classroom activities is the first step in the processes for this study. QuizWhizzer preparation, integration, and evaluation. As the teacher's understanding grows, they may realize the shortcomings of the previous gathering and decide to improve it by incorporating the model learning game-based learning they developed with QuizWhizzer. The results of this study are as follows: 1) the learning implementation shows that the teacher is always trying to maximize productivity to improve students' math skills; 2) students' activities during the learning process improved significantly; and 3) the teacher's understanding grows, the students' activities during the learning process improved the students in their education assist others who are further behind them in developing the game and the dialogue.

Abstract

How technology and industrial change affect how well students do in school for the 4.0 level to be met, students must be able to use higher-order thinking and technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK). Students have difficulty using advanced technological tools when they need to think critically and artistically. So, students will only be able to learn higher-order thinking skills if they have TPACK. It is a common reason why people need to learn mathematics better in the current world. The purpose of this research was to help complete a structural model of TPACK and higher-order thinking skills for distance math learners. In a cross-sectional quantitative study, the data were looked at with structural equation modelling (SEM). For this study, 279 people from Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and Universitas Riau were chosen to participate. The study’s structure model shows a powerful link between higher-order thinking skills and TPACK. As a result, secondary school mathematics educators can benefit from this study’s findings by adopting fresh perspectives on TPACK and higher-order thinking.
