Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases is first cause of death and heart failure is the end of all heart diseases and heart failure is causative factor enhancement of mortalities and morbidities heart failure patient. The purpose of the research is to know drug interaction in heart failure patient who undergoing hospitalization in RSUD Abdul Wahab Sjahranie in Samarinda. This research is non experimental and use retrospective to take a material during periods January – December in 2018. The result analyzed use descriptive evaluative and show heart failure case more suffer to the men (59.25%) at age 55-65 (35.80%) with the most of level education is senior high school (39.50%). The studies showed 163 drug interaction case with 18 (11.04%) minor interaction, 140(85.88%) moderate interaction and 5 (3.06%) major interaction.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition when the blood hemoglobin level is less than normal because to iron deficiency. Red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) and guava (Psidium guajava) are sources of iron which can increase blood hemoglobin levels. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of dragon fruit juice and guava juice on increasing blood hemoglobin levels for menstruating women. The design of this research was Quasy Experimental Pre-Post Design which was conducted in two test groups. The first grup was given dragon fruit juice and the second group was given guava juice. Sampling was determined by purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The hemoglobine level was using the Easy Touch GCHB tool and analyzed by the Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that the effect of dragon fruit and guava juice on the hemoglobin level of menstruating women before the intervention in first group test was 11.5 g / dl, second group test was 10.5 g / dl and after the intervention the average was 13.6 g / dl and 13.5 g / dl. Abstract

Insomnia is a sleep disorder such as dissatisfaction with sleep quality, difficulty in sleeping and maintaining sleep, causing physical and emotional symptoms that affect performance and also cognitivity. The existence of mental disorders such as depression, fatigue and anxiety which culminate in insomnia so that a person does not sleep soundly. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics, variations of the diseases that cause insomnia, drug use, and drug interactions that occur. The research method used an observational retrospective method by tracing medical record data at a special regional hospital in East Kalimantan with a total sampling technique during 2019. The results obtained for characteristic data that insomnia was greater for women (57%) at the age of 56-65 years (40%) with primary and junior high school education (30%) who do not work (77%) and who do not have a history of disease (93%) and insomnia due to anxiety (94%). For the variation of insomnia, based on the causes and history of the disease, whether there is anxiety disorder or anxiety. Treatment is done with 87% single therapy, namely using the drugs Alprazolam (8%), Clozapine (41%), Fluoxetine (4%), Risperidone (8%), Lorazepam (8%), Diazepam (11%), Zolpidem tartrate (4%), Amitripthyline (4%), Clonazepam (4%), and Clorpromazin (8%) while 13% uses 2 combination of drug therapy is using combination of Fluoxetine and Amitripthyline (25%), Clozapine and Sertraline (50%), and Maprotiline hydrochloride and Clobazam (25%). The potential interactions are entirely pharmacokinetic interactions of the metabolic phase with major severity of 75% and moderate severity of 25%.

Abstract

Tanaman ruku-ruku merupakan tanaman yang memiliki berbagai manfaat dan khasiat bagi kesehatan. Seluruh bagian tanaman ruku-ruku dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi berbagai macam penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keamanan tanaman ruku-ruku dari hasil uji toksisitas umum maupun khusus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah dengan mengkaji literatur yang diperoleh melalui google scholar dan pubmed dari tahun 2002-2020 kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun maupun seluruh bagian tanaman ruku-ruku untuk toksisitas akut ialah relatif tidak membahayakan dengan nilai LD50 >7g/kgBB terhadap mencit dan >15g/kgBB terhadap tikus. Untuk toksisitas sub-akut dinyatakan aman karena tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap berat badan, parameter hematologi, dan biokimia serta histopatologi jaringan (hati, ginjal, limpa, jantung, dan testis/ovarium). Toksisitas khusus untuk uji reproduksi tidak memiliki efek yang merugikan terhadap sistem reproduksi hewan coba termasuk total kelahiran, rasio jenis kelamin, dan jumlah anak yang hidup pada hari ke-0 dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol, indeks kesuburan hewan coba betina, fekunditas, dan kehamilan serta indeks kesuburan hewan coba jantan. Berdasarkan hasil uji toksisitas umum dan khusus, tanaman ruku-ruku dinyatakan aman dan tidak memiliki efek yang merugikan bagi tubuh.

Abstract

The black betel plant (Piper Sp.) Has been empirically used by the public for a treatment. This plant has the potential to be developed into pharmaceutical products made from natural ingredients, so an extraction method is needed that can be used as a standard in the development of this plant. The research aims to determine the effect of stirring speed, solid-liquid ratio and sample surface area in the extraction method and to determine the profile of the extraction method. the optimum black betel leaf based on the yield parameters of the extract and the TLC profile. This research is an experimental study conducted by extracting black betel leaves using the maceration method which is influenced by several conditions, namely, with a stirring speed of 300 rpm; 400 rpm; 500 rpm, 1: 5 solid to liquid ratio; 1:10; 1:15 and the surface area of the chopping sample using a blender; 1x1 cm; 2x2 cm. Then the extract yield was calculated and the TLC profile observations were made. The results showed that the stirring speed, the solid-liquid ratio and the surface area of the sample affected the yield of the extract. However, the stirring speed and surface area of the sample did not affect the stain pattern on the TLC profile, while the liquid solid ratio affected the stain pattern on the TLC profile, and the optimum extraction method for the extract yield on black betel leaf was stirring speed of 300 rpm, solid to liquid ratio. ratio of 1:15 and the surface area of the chopped sample using a blender.

Abstract

Bagore (Caesalpiniabonduc (L.) Roxb) from the Febaceae / caesalpiniaceae family is a thorny shrub. This plant is reported to have some activity and also has metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of bagore stem extract. The extraction method used is the maceration method using ethanol solvent and the yield of 5.5% bagore stem extract followed by the determination of secondary metabolites. The stem extract was found to have positive results of flavanoid and saponin compounds which have antibacterial activity. Testing for the inhibition of Streptococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes as gram-positive bacteria and Escherichia coli as gram-negative bacteria using the well diffusion method. The extract concentrations used were 10%, 20%, and 30%, and the negative control used water and ethanol. the results of antibacterial tests against Streptococcus aureus bacteria obtained the respective inhibition zone diameters; 11,836 mm; 13,671 mm and for Propionibacterium acnes bacteria obtained the diameter of the inhibition zone for each success; 10,781 mm; 13,169 mm; 14,190 mm, while the Escherichia coli bacteria obtained the respective inhibition zone diameter; 10,552 mm; 13,436 mm; 14,036 mm

Abstract

Kota Samarinda merupakan Ibukota Provinsi Kalimantan Timur yang dapat dijadikan rangkuman tingkat kesehatan masyakrakat Kalimantan Timur. Aspek kepatuhan dan perilaku sosial masyarakat samarinda dalam peningkatan kesehatan sangat berhubungan dengan kebijakan pemerintah kota Samarinda melalui kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh dinas kesehatan kota samarinda. Adanya dukungan penuh dari keluarga, pendidikan, sosial masayarakat dan lingkungan masih menjadi harapan utama dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas kesehatan dan hidup masyarakat Samarinda. Tantangan utama dinas pemerintah melalui Dinas Kesehatan Kota Samarinda dalam peningkatan kepatuhan dan perilaku tersebut dapat diarahkan kemasalah kesehtan utama seperti pada penggunaan obat antibiotik, pelayanan kesehatan pada masyarakat golongan lansia dan penderita penyakit kanker.

Abstract

Penelitian Aktivitas Sediaan Gel Antiseptik Tangan Berbahan Aktif Ekstrak Fraksi Etanol Daun Sungkai (Peronema Canencens Jack.) telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui aktivitas antiseptik fraksi daun Sungkai (P. canescens. Jack) secara in vitro terhadap beberapa bakteri patogen dalam sediaan gel antiseptic tangan dan mengetahui konsentrasi terbaik fraksi etanol daun Sungkai (P. canencens Jack.) dalam sediaan gel antiseptik tangan terhadap masing-masing strain mikroba patogen. Bahan uji diperoleh dengan fraksinasi ekstrak fraksi etanol daun sungkai, selanjutnya formulasikan ke dalam basis gel antiseptic, diuji aktivitasnya terhadap beberapa bakteri pathogen dan menentukan konsentrasi terbaik fraksi etanol daun Sungkai (P. canencens Jack.) dalam sediaan gel antiseptik tangan terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli, Salmonella thyposa, Staphylococcus aureu, Bacillus subtilis. Metode pengujian antibakteri mengunakan uji difusi padat secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian menunjukan konsentrasi fraksi etanol dalam sediaan gel antiseptik aktif terhadap bakteri Escherichia coli, Salmonella thyposa, Staphylococcus aureus dan Bacillus subtillis. Konsentrasi terbaik ekstrak etanol dalam sediaan gel antiseptik adalah 4% efektif menghambat/membunuh ke tiga bakteri uji. Jack) in vitro against to several microbial pathogens in the preparation of antiseptic hand gel, and to know determine the best concentration of ethanol fraction Sungkai leaf in the preparation of antiseptic gel hands each strain of pathogenic bacteria. Test materials obtained by fractionation of the ethanol extract of the leaf fraction Sungkai, further formulated into a gel base antiseptic, tested its activity against several bacterial pathogens, and determine the best concentration of ethanol fraction Sungkai leaf in the preparation of antiseptic hand gel against Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella thyposa, Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis bacteria. Antibacterial testing using method in vitro solid diffusion test. The results showed the concentration of ethanol fraction in gel dosage of active antiseptic against Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella thyposa, Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis bacteria. The best concentration of ethanol extract in the preparation of antiseptic gel was 4% effective at inhibiting or kill the to three bacteria. Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the anti inflammatory effect of ethanol extract of salam leaves, viewed from decrease paw edema volume rats carrageenan induced 1%. For the anti-inflammatory activity measurement, five different groups were established, three test group, one positive control group and one negative control group. In the test group given the extract of salam leaves, the positive control given Na diklofenak, while the negative control group given Na CMC. Salam leaf extract was administered in three different doses : 50 mg/kgBB, 150 mg/kgBB and 250 mg/kgBB. Each of them were given orally 30 min before carrageenan induced. The paw volume was measured every hour for five hour after injection carrageenan. The results showed that ethanol extract of salam leaves in all doses has anti inflammatory efect on white rats.Keywords: Anti-inflammatory, extract salam leaves, white ratsABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek antiinflamasi ekstrak etanol daun salam ditinjau dari penurunan volume udem telapak kaki tikus putih jantan yang diinduksi karagenan 1%. Untuk pengukuran aktivitas antiinflamasi digunakan 5 kelompok hewan coba yang berbeda yakni 3 kelompok uji, 1 kelompok kontrol positif dan 1 kelompok kontrol negatif. Pada kelompok uji diberikan ekstrak daun salam, pada kontrol positif diberikan Na diklofenak, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol negatif diberikan Na CMC. Pemberian ekstrak daun salam dilakukan 3 variasi dosis yaitu dosis 50mg/kgBB, 150mg/kgBB, dan 250mg/kgBB. Bahan uji diberikan secara oral 30 menit sebelum diinduksi dengan 0,1 mL karagenan 1%. Pengukuran volume telapak kaki tikus dilakukan setiap jam selama 5 jam setelah induksi karagenan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun salam pada semua variasi dosis memberikan efek antiinflamasi pada tikus putih jantan.Kata kunci: Antiinflamasi, ekstrak daun salam, tikus putih jantan

Abstract

Gelatin is a biopolymer that can be obtained from partially hydrolysis of collagen present in skin, bone, and connective tissues of animals This study used chicken Broiler feet as a source of collagen. This study was conducted to determine the effect of soaking treatment with solution of acid and base, and with variety of soaking time. The solution used is HCl, CH3COOH, and NaOH with different concentration. The process of soaking followed by extraction, filtration, and drying to obtain a sheet of gelatin. Gelatin was analyzed qualitatively with chemical reaction. The best results of yield can be obtained from various methods of soaking given by HCl 2% for 2 days, CH3COOH 2% for 3 days, and NaOH 2% for 1 day. Keywords : Gelatin, Chicken feet Broiler’s, Acid-treated, Alkali-treated ABSTRAK Gelatin merupakan biopolimer yang biasanya diperoleh dari hidrolisis parsial kolagen jaringan kulit, tulang, dan jaringan ikat hewan. Penelitian ini menggunakan kaki ayam broiler sebagai sumber kolagen. Penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan perendaman kaki ayam broiler melalui berbagai larutan asam dan basa dengan variasi lama perendaman. Larutan yang digunakan yaitu HCl, CH3COOH, dan NaOH dengan berbagai konsentrasi. Proses perendaman dilanjutkan dengan ekstraksi, filtrasi, dan pengeringan untuk mendapatkan lembaran gelatin. Gelatin yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui reaksi kimia. Hasil rendemen terbaik dapat diperoleh dari berbagai metode perendaman yaitu HCl 2% selama 2 hari, CH3COOH 2% selama 3 hari, dan NaOH 2% selama 1 hari.
