Abstract

Isu pembangunan pertanian di Kabupaten Simalungun merupakan topik yang menarik. Program masa Orde Baru melalui Repelita diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pertanian yang maju, efisien dan tangguh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berbagai program pembangunan pertanian masa Orde Baru serta pengaruhnya terhadap pembangunan pertanian di Simalungun. Adanya politik pembangunan pertanian pada masa Orde Baru dengan cara pengembangan irigasi, benih unggul, pupuk kimia, pestisida dan lembaga pendukung. Lembaga pertanian di Simalungun yang tercantum sesuai Repelita tumbuh dan berkembang dengan pesat ke seluruh wilayah. Rencana pembangunan pertanian di Simalungun berkembang dengan pesat, tetapi tidak berhasil menaikkan taraf kehidupan petani. Pada akhir pembangunan pertanian, banyak terjadi konversi lahan pertanian dari padi ketanaman non pertanian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teori politik pembangunan dengan metode penelitian sejarah yang meliputi heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi dan historiografi.

Abstract

The environment for humans is one of the most important elements in their lives, because the environment is not only a place for humans to move, but the environment also plays a very important role in supporting various human activities. In the environment, all human needs are available so that there are efforts made by humans to exploit their environment for their livelihood. Therefore, it is natural that human interaction with the environment will take place continuously and continuously. With this interaction, it is certain that environmental conditions will also be influenced by human behavior. Human attitudes and behavior will determine the good and bad conditions of an environment. Environmental cleanliness has a very important and inseparable role in human life. What is meant by environmental cleanliness is creating a healthy environment so that it is not susceptible to various diseases. This community service is carried out in Jaring Halus Village, Secanggang District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The method of implementing this community service is socialization and social action. The results of this community service are increasing public knowledge about the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability as well as increasing their responsibility and participation in keeping the environment clean, healthy and sustainable in Jaring Halus Village so that it is hoped that the community can continue to realize it in everyday life.

Abstract

Kampung Tarekat Naqsabandiyah Babussalam in Langkat was founded by Syekh Abdul Wahab Rokan upon the initiative of Sultan Musa. This village, built and developed with a spirit of mutual cooperation, is exceptional as it was established as a center for teaching and spreading the Naqsabandiyah Sufi Order, which played a vital role in disseminating this spiritual path. The purpose of this writing is to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the behavior of the community around Kampung Tarekat Naqsabandiyah Babussalam in Besilam. The research method employs both primary and secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (Badan Pusat Statistik) of Langkat Regency. The findings of this research indicate that a majority of the community experienced changes in both the economic and behavioral sectors. Economically, the income of the community decreased due to the decline in businesses around the religious tourism area. Regarding behavior, the community adhered to government advisories such as working from home (WFH), maintaining distance, wearing double-layered masks, and consistently using hand sanitizer when traveling.

Abstract

Internalization refers to the process of instilling certain values, which takes place in three stages: transformation, transaction, and trans-internalization. In the case of the clean village tradition in the Old Village, this process occurs during the month of Syuro/Muharram. The aim of this research is to examine the transformation of social values within the clean village tradition in the Old Village Javanese community, the transaction of these values, and the internalization of these values in the community. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with purposive sampling for informants. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis follows the approach of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results of the research reveal that the transformation of social values within the community of Lama Village, Sei Lepan District, generates positive values, particularly from a religious standpoint, communicated through the clean village tradition. These teachings encourage individuals to live cautiously, avoid violating Allah's religious laws, and maintain a strong sense of faith. The transaction of social values during the clean village ritual enhances the community's faith, tolerance, understanding of almsgiving, concern for the environment, respect for elders, and ability to cleanse negative traits from the heart. The trans-internalization process has become ingrained in the daily lives of the Lama Village community, with social and religious values actively practiced. Deliberation to achieve mutual consensus and the practice of helping and cooperating in times of need remain highly valued in Lama Village, Sei Lepan District.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penguatan pemahaman bidang sosial dan keagamaan bagi masyarakat melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di Dusun VII Desa Stungkit. KKN merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian mahasiswa dan dosen kepada masyarakat yang diwujudkan melalui kegiatan aplikatif dan edukatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan KKN dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang nilai-nilai sosial, seperti gotong royong, toleransi, dan keadilan. Selain itu, kegiatan KKN juga meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang ajaran agama, serta meningkatkan kualitas ibadah. Kegiatan KKN juga berdampak pada peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kegiatan KKN memiliki peran penting dalam penguatan pemahaman bidang sosial dan keagamaan bagi masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan KKN perlu terus dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan agar dapat memberikan kontribusi yang lebih signifikan dalam pembangunan masyarakat. ABSTRACT This service aims to analyze strengthening understanding of the social and religious fields for the community through Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities in Hamlet VII, Stungkit Village. KKN is a form of student and lecturer service to the community which is realized through applicable and educational activities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. The results of the service show that KKN activities can increase people's understanding of social values, such as mutual cooperation, tolerance and justice. Apart from that, KKN activities also increase people's understanding of religious teachings and improve the quality of worship. KKN activities also have an impact on increasing community participation in development. This research concludes that KKN activities have an important role in strengthening understanding of the social and religious fields for the community. Therefore, KKN activities need to continue to be developed and improved so that they can make a more significant contribution to community development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi cerita rakyat dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) sebagai metode untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya pada siswa sekolah dasar. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen di SD IT Al Maksum Stabat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan cerita rakyat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang nilai-nilai budaya seperti kejujuran, kerja keras, dan gotong royong. Siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan keterlibatan dalam proses pembelajaran, serta pengembangan keterampilan sosial dan emosional. Guru berperan penting dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang efektif, meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber cerita rakyat dan kebutuhan akan pelatihan. Dukungan dari orang tua dan komunitas juga memperkuat hasil pembelajaran. Disarankan agar sekolah mengintegrasikan lebih banyak cerita rakyat dalam kurikulum IPS dan pemerintah menyediakan dukungan yang memadai, termasuk bahan ajar dan pelatihan guru. Penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel lebih besar dan berbagai konteks diperlukan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak jangka panjang metode ini.

Abstract

This study examines the needs of Social Studies teachers in implementing differentiated instruction that integrates local history from Langkat Regency at MTsS Prof. Dr. H. Mohd. Hatta. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected from the principal, two teachers, and students across three classes through interviews and document analysis. Findings show that teachers recognize the value of local history integration but face limited resources, insufficient training, and lack of instructional tools. Nevertheless, differentiated instruction based on local historical content is seen as highly promising. The study recommends strengthening school policies, teacher capacity, and resource development to support locally grounded, differentiated Social Studies learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) focused on local history, specifically addressing colonialism topics. The objective is to determine the validity and feasibility of the LKPD through evaluations by material and media experts, as well as through limited trials conducted with students from Madrasah Aliyah in Stabat District. This study employs research and development (R&D) methodologies. The developed LKPD underwent validation by two experts: material experts and media experts. The validation results indicated that in the second validation, the material expert assigned a feasibility percentage of 91%, categorized as "Very Valid," while the media expert assigned a percentage of 90%, also categorized as "Very Valid." The trial results were confined to grade XI students, who demonstrated a favorable response with an average score of 87%, categorizing them as "Very Positive." The findings indicate that the LKPD centered on local history concerning colonialism is deemed highly feasible and practical for use in history education at the Madrasah Aliyah level.

Abstract

Budaya sebagai identitas sosial masih menjadi isu yang hangat untuk perbincangkan. Fenomena tersebut berkembang luas pada era digital sebagai bentuk imbas berkembangnya modernisasi. aspek yang dibenturkan adalah modernisasi dan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap budaya. isu tersebut diprediksi muncul sejak akhir abad ke-20, dampaknya masyarakat semakin kehilangan Identitas budaya. sehingga dibutuhkan usaha untuk representasi identitas tersebut melalui pendiidkan sosial dan budaya.Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian field research (penelitian lapangan) yang digunakan secara langsung untuk mendapatkan data dan permasalahan yang lebih konkrit dan secara langsung berhubungan dengan berbagai objek yang akan diteliti. data yang diperoleh akan diolah melalui reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display), penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi (conclusion drawing/verification). faktor pendukung lahirnya identitas budaya meliputi pembelajaran dan penerimaan yang meliputi suatu tradisi, sifat bawaan, bahasa, agama, keturunan dari suatu kebudayaan. faktor pendukung berupa bekal entik dan pendidikan sosial budya dapat dijadikan modal awal untuk mewujudkankan individu yang memiliki identitas budaya. upaya yang dilakukan untuk merepresentasikan identitas budaya adalah dengan cara pemanfatan media soial dan pembiasaan karakter pada mahasiswa.Identitas Budaya dalam pendidikan sosial budaya merupakan suatu proses yang penting bagi mahasiswa, karena mampu membantu mereka untuk memahami dan menghargai keragaman budaya, mengembangkan keterampilan interkultural, serta mempersiapkan diri menjadi warga global yang berpikiran terbuka dan mampu berinteraksi secara positif dengan masyarakat yang berbeda-beda. sehingga dampaknya secara langsung dapat direpresentasikan untuk masyarakat luas baik secara digital maupun secara langsung.
