Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Information and Communication Technology on PDRB.The study's constituents comprise IPTIK, PTS (number of cell phone subscribers), IT (telecommunications investment), and TPAK. This study's methodology makes use of panel data regression analysis and OLS (Ordinary Least Square) with cross-sectional data from 16 provinces in Java and Sumatera Island and time series data from 2018 to 2021. The study's findings show that TPAK, IT, PTS, and IPTIK all have an impact on PDRB at the same time. With a coefficient value of -0.007 and a significance value of 0.5309 > 0.05, IPTIK had no discernible impact on PDRB. With a significance value of 0.0000 < 0.05 and a coefficient value of 0.007, PTS has a positive and substantial impact on PDRB. With a coefficient value of 0.2654 and a significance value of 0.0000 < 0.05, IT has a substantial and positive impact on PDRB. With a coefficient value of -0.0065 and a significance value of 0.0000 < 0.05, TPAK has a significant and negative impact on PDRB. With an Adjusted R2 value of 0.9998, it can be concluded that variations in the independent variables account for 99.98 percent of the variation in the PDRB. While other factors can account for the remaining 0.02 percent. Keywords :  IPTIK, Number of Cell Phone Users, Telecommunication Investment , TPAK , PDRB  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi terhadap PDRB. Konstituen penelitian terdiri dari IPTIK, PTS (jumlah pelanggan telepon seluler), IT (investasi telekomunikasi), dan TPAK. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi data panel dan OLS (Ordinary Least Square) dengan data cross-sectional dari 16 provinsi di Pulau Jawa dan Sumatera dan data time series dari tahun 201 8 hingga 2021. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TPAK, IT, PTS, dan IPTIK semuanya berdampak pada PDRB pada saat yang bersamaan. Dengan nilai koefisien -0,007 dan nilai signifikansi 0,5309 > 0,05, IPTIK tidak memiliki dampak yang nyata terhadap PDRB. Dengan nilai signifikansi 0,0000 < 0,05 dan nilai koefisien 0,007, PTS berdampak positif dan substansial terhadap PDRB. Dengan nilai koefisien 0,2654 dan nilai signifikansi 0,0000 < 0,05, TI memiliki dampak substansial dan positif terhadap PDRB. Dengan nilai koefisien -0,0065 dan nilai signifikansi 0,0000 < 0,05, TPAK memiliki dampak signifikan dan negatif terhadap PDRB. Dengan nilai R2 Disesuaikan sebesar 0,9998, dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi variabel independen menyumbang 99,98 persen variasi dalam PDRB. Abstract

This study examines the leading sectors supporting tourism in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province from 2018 to 2022, utilizing Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift-Share analyses. By analyzing the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) across 21 districts and 1 city, the research identifies the transportation, accommodation, and information and communication sectors as critical contributors to tourism. The LQ analysis reveals that nine regions have transportation as a base sector, while four regions each specialize in accommodation, restaurant, iinformation, and communication. Kupang City stands out with all three sectors as basic. The Shift-Share analysis further indicates that most regions experience growth in the transportation sector driven by national trends, though many still face competitive challenges. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing infrastructure and services in these key sectors to bolster tourism development in NTT. The study offers valuable insights for regional planning and policymaking aimed at leveraging tourism for economic growth.

Abstract

One consumption behaviour that has a significant impact on the economy and health is cigarette consumption. Lampung occupies the top position of cigarette consumption in Indonesia with a very significant increase in consumption of 13.6% over the past 3 years. This research is a descriptive and quantitative research. This study uses 3 independent variables, namely income per capita, cigarette prices, and percentage of the population smoking, and the dependent variable used in this study is cigarette consumption. The scope of this study covers 15 districts/cities in Lampung Province using 4 years of data from 2020-2023. Based on the tests that have been carried out, it is known that the variables of income per capita and the percentage of the population smoking have a positive and significant influence on cigarette consumption in Lampung Province in 2020-2023.

Abstract

Modern markets have an impact on changes in profit levels in traditional markets in an area, although they do not have an impact on changes in turnover and the number of people working in traditional markets. The Service Team took the initiative to create a bazaar activity for MSMEs in Talang Padang, Tanggamus Regency with a strategy of providing free bazaar stands for 7 bazaar days. It is hoped that this activity can revive the market which was sluggish after the renovation and can provide space for micro, small and medium businesses to promote their superior products directly to the public.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the changes in economic and social conditions experienced by the community before and after the construction of the Way Sekampung Dam in Pekon Bumi Ratu, Pagelaran District, Pringsewu Regency. The study focuses on economic aspects, including 1) employment and business opportunities, 2) livelihoods, and 3) income, as well as social aspects such as public facilities. A descriptive method with a qualitative approach was applied in the research, utilizing the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for data analysis. The findings indicate significant differences in economic conditions, such as increased employment and business opportunities, changes in livelihoods, and higher incomes. Additionally, improvements in social conditions, particularly public facilities, were observed following the dam's construction, benefiting the community in Pekon Bumi Ratu.

Abstract

Globally, one in three children under five are affected by stunting, which impairs their growth. On average, 50% of malnourished children aged five years or younger reside in Asia, while more than 30% live in Africa. Indonesia, as one of the Southeast Asian Countries, exhibits a higher prevalence of stunting compared to other middle-income countries. Several studies have identified a correlation between the smoking behavior of parents and the risk of stunting in children. This is thought to be due to the allocation of cigarette expenditure, which can reduce spending on food. This study aims to examine the impediments to growth encountered by children as a consequence of cigarette consumption within households in Sumatra and beyond. The data used in this study is derived from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS), with the logistic regression method utilized for analysis. The findings of this study indicate that a significant proportion of expenditure on cigarettes, living in a poor household, and internal child factors, namely the baby's weight at birth (less than 2500 grams), can increase the risk of children experiencing stunting. Genetic factors like parents' height and environmental factors like sanitation can also reduce the risk of stunting in children. Because the height of a parent’s body posture and a clean can positively influence children’s health conditions. The study calls for interventions to reduce smoking and improve child nutrition, especially in impoverished households. It is imperative to allocate expenditures related to the procurement of cigarettes to benefit children, thereby facilitating their growth and development.

Abstract

This study seeks to determine the primary economic sectors and assess their impact on regional development in Pesisir Barat Regency. Achieving sustainable regional growth necessitates the identification of strategic sectors capable of driving economic progress and enhancing the well-being of local communities. A descriptive quantitative method is employed in this research, utilizing the Location Quotient (LQ) technique to pinpoint basic sectors. Additionally, a sectoral typology analysis is conducted by examining the average LQ alongside the analysis focuses on the average contribution to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), using GRDP data at constant 2010 prices for the period 2018 to 2022, obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The results reveal that the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries sector, along with the Wholesale and Retail Trade; Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles sector, are classified as basic sectors and are situated in Quadrant I. As such, implementing targeted and sustainable development strategies is essential. These may include boosting investment, upgrading infrastructure, supporting local entrepreneurs, and improving human capital. The insights and recommendations from this research are intended to guide regional policymakers in crafting effective development strategies that leverage the region’s economic strengths.

Abstract

This study examines the dilemma of rice import policy in Indonesia within the context of international trade and food security challenges. Rice, as a strategic commodity, holds significant social, economic, and political value, making import policies highly influential on price stability, farmers’ welfare, and national food security. The research identifies that import policies are often misaligned with domestic needs due to weak inter-institutional coordination, data inaccuracies, and pressures from political and business interests. As a result, import policies frequently create imbalances between the interests of consumers, traders, and local farmers, while also reducing the competitiveness of domestic rice due to inefficiencies in the distribution chain and post-harvest infrastructure. This study emphasizes the importance of data-based, transparent, and farmer-protective governance of rice import policies to strengthen national food security amid global trade liberalization pressures. hain, trade liberalization.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha UMKM Nuknak Donuts di Bandar Lampung melalui pendampingan dalam aspek keuangan, produksi, dan pemasaran. UMKM ini menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti pencatatan keuangan yang belum terstruktur, kapasitas produksi yang terbatas, serta strategi pemasaran yang masih sederhana dan belum menjangkau pasar yang luas. Melalui metode pelatihan interaktif, konsultasi personal, dan diskusi kelompok, pelaku usaha diberikan pemahaman serta keterampilan praktis untuk mengelola usaha secara lebih profesional. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan dalam pencatatan keuangan, pemanfaatan media sosial secara lebih optimal, serta perencanaan untuk menghadirkan produk ready stock dan memperluas distribusi. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya memberikan solusi terhadap masalah yang ada, tetapi juga menjadi model pemberdayaan UMKM yang berbasis kolaborasi antara akademisi dan pelaku usaha lokal. Diharapkan pendekatan ini dapat direplikasi dalam upaya penguatan UMKM di sektor lainnya.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan mengembangkan strategi digitalisasi penjualan pada usaha mie ayam dan bakso di Way Pengubuan, Lampung Tengah. Objek pengabdian adalah UMKM kuliner berskala mikro yang masih beroperasi secara konvensional. Metode yang digunakan ialah studi kasus dengan melakukan wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi lapangan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya literasi digital serta minimnya pendampingan menjadi hambatan utama dalam transformasi digital. Intervensi berupa pelatihan WhatsApp Business dan Instagram, serta edukasi dasar visual branding, meningkatkan kesiapan pelaku usaha dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Pengabdian ini mendukung penerapan teori Dynamic Capabilities dan Diffusion of Innovation dalam konteks pengembangan UMKM. Pengabdian menyimpulkan bahwa digitalisasi UMKM memerlukan dukungan ekosistem pembelajaran, pendampingan kontekstual, dan pendekatan partisipatif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, daya saing, dan keberlanjutan usaha secara optimal.
