Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to describe the error text sentences of explanation students in terms of aspects (1) improper use of effective sentence, (2) misuse of word choice, and (3) ketepataan spelling (capital letters , the use of punctuation , and spelling ) . The research was a qualitative descriptive method . The data source of this research is explanatory text of the seventh grade students of SMPN 12 Padang academic year 2015/2016 . Data of this research is the wrong sentence . Based on the results obtained the following data . First , in terms of syntax errors syntactic structures such as fault location subject. Second , word choice errors in the form of a pronoun (pronoun) is not appropriate , and the details are not exact words . Third, the exact spelling ( capital letters , spelling , punctuation and usage) . Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks eksplanasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the values of character education in the Pulang novel by Tere Liye. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. The approach used in this research is the objective approach.This research data is in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses that display events and figures that indicate the values of character education contained in the novel Pulang by Tere Liye. Data collection techniques of this study, namely reading and understanding, inventorying, interpreting, classifying, and concluding data relating to character education values in Pulang novel by Tere Liye and guided by appreciative reading. Kata kunci: nilai pendidikan karakter, novel Pulang

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to (1) describe grade ability in writing one act plays of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang without application cooperative learning TPS type, (2) describe grade ability in writing one act plays of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang  with application cooperative learning TPS type, (3) describe the effect of the use of cooperative learning TPS type, toward students’ ability in writing one act plays of students class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang . The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the students’ ability in writing one act plays without application cooperative learning TPS type at class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang  is more fairly and grades LdC with average 74,51, (2) the students’ ability in writing one act plays with application cooperative learning TPS type at class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Padang is good and grades B with average 83,67, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (H1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1+n2)-2 because tcount> t-table (4,10>1,70). Kata kunci : pengaruh, kooperatif, think pair share (TPS), dan naskah drama

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of scientific approach on the aspect of assessment in learning the text of the negotiation in class X SMK Muhammadiyahh 1 Padang. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show the learning appraisal tool used by the teacher, ie practice/performance assessment, observation, project and investigation assessment, journal assessment, diary, open response questions, and portfolio. Learning learning activities are conducted through observing, questioning, trying, and communicating activities. Abstract

This article was written to detect the influence of cooperative learning think pair share concerning short story writing skill of class IX students of SMPN 14 Padang. The data of this research were the result of the short story writing final test. The data were collected by giving short story writing test through cooperative learning think pair share and without cooperative learning think pair share. The hipotesis tested by using test-t formula. The result indicated that (1) the arithmetic average of the students’ short story writing skills pretest 54,14; (2) the arithmetic average of the students’ short story writing skills posttest were 82,65; and (3) according to test-t’s result, can be concluded that there was a significant influence of the used of cooperative learning think pair share to the short story writing skill of class IX students of SMPN 19 Padang.  Kata kunci: pengaruh, think pair share, menulis cerpen

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe the language and spelling characteristics in the explanatory text of class XI students of SMA 1 Payakumbuh. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection is done through documentation studies. The subjects in this study were class XI students of SMA 1 Payakumbuh. The stage of analyzing the data in this study is as follows. First, identify common elements of data. Second, identifying data based on the theory that is a reference. Data identification is done by making a format for identifying linguistic characteristics and explanatory text spelling. Third, analyze data. Fourth, interpret the data that has been analyzed. Fifth, conclude the results of the data description by writing a report. The results of this study are that there are 22 students who have not used the language characteristics of the explanatory text and 8 students have used the explanatory text language characteristics. The linguistic characteristics found in this study are 3, namely, information on time, chronological conjunction and causality conjunction. The time was found as many as 53 pieces, 15 chronological conjunctions and 54 causality conjunctions. In addition, many found errors in the use of spelling in the form of capital letters, periods and commas. The error of using capital letters has 28 errors, 15 misuse of the dot and 158 errors in the use of commas from 810 sentences and 178 paragraphs. Kata kunci : Ciri Kebahasaan, Ejaan, Teks Eksplanasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this article is to describe influences in using modeling technique toward student’s ability in writing biography text in X SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi. This research is quantitative research through experimental method. The result of the research are first,the ability of students of second grade in SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi in writing the text before using modeling technique in the stage of More than fair qualification (C) on avarage 65,59; second, the ability in writing the text after using modeling technique in the stage of good qualification (B) on avarage 78,36; third, the ability in writing the text has been used this method more effective than before use it. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, teknik pemodelan, teks cerita ulang biografi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article is written to discuss the results of research on the contribution of listening skills rhyme to rhyme writing skills of students of class VII SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung. This research data in the form of score results rhymes listening skills and writing skills scores results rhymes. The data was obtained through two types of test, which is an objective test to measure listening skills rhymes and performance tests to measure the skills of writing rhymes. This research is a quantitative correlation method. The results of this research are three: (1) listening skills rhyme VII SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung currently on qualifications Good (B) with an average value of 77.28, (2) the skill of writing rhymes seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Lubuk Alung located the qualification Good (B) with an average value of 77.27, and (3) listening skills contribute to the writing skills rhyme rhyme by 89.5% and the remaining 10.5% is influenced by other factors in this study. Kata kunci: kontribusi, menyimak, menulis, pantun

Abstract

This article was written to describe the contribution of listening skills to news text on the skills of writing news text of students of class IX SMP Negeri 30 Padang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result of news news. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the news text of the students of class IX SMP Negeri 30 Padang is in good qualification (79.17). Secondly, the listening skill of news text news of class IX students of SMP Negeri 30 Padang is in good qualification (82,56). Third, the news listening skills have contributed 14.21% to the writing skills of news text of the students of class IX SMP Negeri 30 Padang and the rest (85.79%) influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Kata kunci: Kontibusi; Keterampilan Menyimak; Keterampilan Menulis; Teks Berita

Abstract
