Abstract

The purposes of this study were to (1) describe the effectiveness of the sentence in terms of the accuracy of reasoning categories (a) reasonableness and (b) unity of ideas and (2) to describe the effectiveness of the sentence in terms of language accuracy (a) grammatical accuracy, (b) word precision, and (c) accuracy of spelling in the exposition of students of class VIII 2 SMP Negeri 9 Padang. The method of this research is qualitative. The result of this research is from 167 sentences there are 3 effective sentences and 164 sentences is not effective. In terms of accuracy of reasoning there is no mistake in the student essay. In terms of language accuracy found 164 sentence errors. Thus, the students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang have not been able to use sentences effectively. Kata kunci: keefektifan kalimat, karangan eksposisi

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are objectives of this research. First, describing the control of vocabulary environment area at students grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Second, describing the writing skill of news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Third, describing the relation vocabulary environment area with the skill in writing news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. This is a quantitative research with descriptive method and using correlational research design. Population and sample of this research are VIII th grade student of SMP Negeri 22 Padang consist of 142 students and 36 sample students. This research use Simple random Sampling technique. This experiment consists of two variables: vocabulary as the independent variable (X) and the writing skills of news text as a dependent variable (Y). Data research was score on result of control vocabulary test and score on writing skills of news text. Data that has been collected were analyzed with indicator to get score and students value. The research instrument is an objective test to meassure vocabulary mastery and test to measure the performance of the writing skills of news text. Based of result data analyzed and explanation, were concluded 3 case. First, control of vocabulary on environment area students grade at VIII SMP Negeri 22 Padang was on good qualification (77,43). Second, writing skills of news text at student grade VIII SMP Negeri 22 padang was on good qualification (79,01). Third, control vocabulary on environment area corresponded with writing skills news text at students grade SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Nevertheless, for the writing skills news text were needed control of vocabulary on environment area. Kata Kunci : hubungan, penguasaan, berita, menulis

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research is describe the influence of cooperative model of TPS type by using image media the skill of procedure text writing for student at VIII grade in 2 Junior High School Padang Panjang. The research method is experimental. The results of this research are three: (1) the skill of the procedure text before using the cooperative model of TPS type by using image media are in the qualifications Enough (64,88), (2) the skill of the procedure text after using the cooperative model of TPS type by using image media are in the qualifications Good (81,55), (3) the skill of the procedure text after using cooperative model of TPS type by using image media batter than before using the model of cooperative of TPS type by image media Kata kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, TPS, gambar, teks prosedur

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to illustrate the effect of using technic copy the master to writing skill of fable text of VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. This research data is a score in the skills of writing fable texts before and after using technic copy the master (next on abbreviated CTM) .This study has three results. First, the skills of writing fable texts before using technic CTM in the qualification Enough (C). Second, the skill of writing the text of the fable of the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman after using the technic CTM is qualified More than Enough (Ldc). Third, based on the t test concluded that there is a significant influence on the skill of writing fable text because thitung> ttabel (5,67> 1,70). Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik copy the master, teks fabel

Abstract

This article was written to detect the influence of modelling concerning short story writing skill of class IX students of SMPN 14 Padang. The data of this research were the result of the short story writing final test. The data were collected by giving short story writing test through modelling and without modelling. The hipotesis tested by using test-t formula. The result indicated that (1) the arithmetic average of the students’ short story writing skills pretest 58,85; (2) the arithmetic average of the students’ short story writing skills posttest were 86,97; and (3) according to test-t’s result, can be concluded that there was a significant influence of the used of modelling to the short story writing skill of class IX students of SMPN 19 Padang.  Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik pemodelan, menulis cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are three research objectives. First, it describes the writing skills of news texts for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang before using the Mind Mapping technique. Second, describing the writing skills of news texts for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang after using the Mind Mapping technique. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research is describing the influence of cooperative learning model think talk write type through picture series medium in writing short story skill for students at X grade of Senior High School 3 of Padang Panjang. The data of this research is result test score of writing short story skill by using technique copy the master. Data is collected by work method test. The result of this research is it has significance influence of technique copy the master in writing short story skill for students at X grade of Senior High School 3 of Padang Panjang which on 95% significance level by (n1+n2)-2 freedom degree that is thitung > ttabel (7,33 >1,67). H0  is refused and H1 is accepted because the result of hypothesis test going to show that  thitung is bigger than ttabel. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, teknik copy the master, keterampilan menulis cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to determine at the contribution of news listening skills against the skills of writing mews the student of class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padang. This research with descriptive methods. The result of this study, there are three points. First, news listening skills is more than enough in qualifying (73,06). Second, news writing skills are in good qualifying (77,88). Abstract

ABSTRACT This research to determine the following matters. First, describe the ability to read an appreciative poetry class X SMA 2 Pariaman. Second, describe the ability to write poetry class X SMA 2 Pariaman. Third, analyze the relationship between the ability to read an appreciative with the ability to write poetry class X SMA 2 Pariaman. Based on the results of the study, concluded the following three points. First, appreciative poetry reading skills class X SMA 2 Pariaman is located on more than enough qualifications (LDC) with the average value (70.38), while the skill of writing poetry class X SMA 2 Pariaman is also on the qualification of more than enough (LDC) with the average value (72.32). Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at 95% confidence level and degrees of freedom n-1 for t> t table, namely 5.18> 1.68. Kata Kunci: hubungan, membaca apresiatif, puisi
