Abstract

Pembelajaran materi pengayaan yang kontekstual di sekolah belum dilakukan karena tidak ada buku dan media VCD pembelajaran kontekstual yang menyajikan dari hasil penelitian. Faktor ini yang menjadi permasalahan utama mitra dan tawaran penyelesaiannya adalah dengan mensosialisasikan materi pengayaan keanekaragaman hayati khususnya kupu-kupu yang ada di sekitar sekolah. Taman Hutan Raya Pulau Lombok dekat sekali lokasi dengan sekolah mitra. Pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan sekitar atau CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) siswa dapat melihat secara nyata, mengalami sendiri materi pelajaran yang ada di sekitar lingkungannya sehingga sangat menyenangkan. selanjutnya dengan CTL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Siswa dibelajarkan dengan buku dan VCD yang berisi materi pelajaran yang ada di sekitar siswa. Hasil belajar siswa di SMPN sekitar taman wisata Suranadi masih di bawah standar KKM 75. Metode kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi, pembelajaran dan pendampingan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk mensosialisasikan berbagai Jenis Kupu-Kupu Indah sebagai Materi Pengayaan Keanekaragaman Hayati di SMAN 1 Narmada. Setelah selesainya pelaksanaan kegiatan ini juga akan dilaksanakan pendampingan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan. Hasil pengabdian sebagai berikut 1) telah dilakukan sosialisasi berbagai jenis kupu-kupu indah sebagai materi pengayaan keanekaragaman hayati di SMAN 1 Narmada 2) peserta kegiatan pengabdian 100% mengikuti, menanggapi dan memahami materi sosialisasi. Kesimpulan sosialisasi berbagai jenis kupu-kupu indah sebagai materi pengayaan keanekaragaman hayati di SMAN 1 Narmada dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini terlaksana dengan baik dengan antusiasme peserta kegiatan yang tinggi.

Abstract

The present work aims to study the effect of pineapple fruit extracts on the quality of Chemical and microbiological - rabbitfish sauce products. Utilizing pineapple extract can speed up the fermentation process because pineapple extract contains bromelain enzymes that will break down rabbitfish’s protein, carbohydrate, and fat molecules into simpler molecules. The research method applied involved experimental laboratory procedures. This study used a completely randomized design. The variables observed were protein, water content, acidity (pH), total microbe, total lactic acid bacteria, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, and taste values. The pineapple extracts and fermentation length affected sauce product quality significantly. Pineapple extracts of 15% and 12-day fermentations produced the best sauce quality, consisting of 14.18% protein content, 73.55% moisture content, and a pH of 5.26. Besides, other parameters observed were total microbes 7.8 x 104 CFU/g, total lactic acid bacteria 1, 0 x 102 CFU/g, E. coli, and Staphylococcus sp. (negative), taste value was 3.46, but consumers did not like it so much. However, these results have met the Indonesian National Standards for the product and are safe for human consumption.

Abstract

Materi Genetika pada mata pelajaran Biologi di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kelas 12 merupakan materi yang cukup sulit di dipahami oleh siswa karena sejumlah faktor di antaranya kurangnya sumber pembelajaran yang efektif, materinya abstrak, rumit dan sulit untuk dipraktekkan. Secara umum, materi Biologi di MA Kelas 12 terdiri dari: Evolusi, Bioteknologi, Materi Genetik (DNA dan RNA), Pembelahan Sel, serta Pewarisan Sifat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman konsep keanekargaman gen yang bersifat abstrak menjadi lebih konkret kepada para siwa MAN2 Mataram. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, dan tanya jawab. Pohon Fiolgenetik merupakan suatu alat yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan kekerabatan makhluk hidup antar spesies, berdasarkan data genetik atau morfologi. Keberadaan Pohon Fiolgenetik ini mampu menyajikan informasi tentang garis keturunan evolusi, seperti nenek moyang bersama dan hubungan percabangan antara kelompok organisme. Ikan lemuru (Sardinella spp.) merupakan jenis ikan laut pelagis kecil yang hidup secara berkelompok dan keberadaannya cukup melimpah di perairan Selat Lombok. Keanekaragaman ikan lemuru secara genetik merupakan salah satu sumber belajar bagi siswa MA Kelas 12 IPA pada topik materi Genetik. Materi yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah pohon filogenetik ikan lemuru berbasis hasil penelitian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelaksananaan program pengabdian masyarakat di MAN2 Mataram telah bejalan dengan baik. Hal ini terlihat dari berbagai pertanyaan yang dilontarkan para siswa dan guru mereka pada saat diskusi. Dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dalam bidang genetika molekuler melalaui sosialisasi hasil penelitian genetika ikan pelagis kecil di perairan Selat Lombok.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa angka ketidaklulusan peserta SBMPTN dari tahun ke tahun terus meningkat dan ketidaklulusan dimaksud ternyata tidak semata-mata disebabkan oleh faktor IQ. Lebih dari itu, ketidaklulusan itu juga disebabkan kekurangpahaman peserta tentang sistem dan pola SBMPTN. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini secara lebih spesifik adalah: (1) untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada peserta tentang strategi sukses SBMPTN dan strategi menyiasati soal-soal SBMPTN; (2) untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada peserta tentang contoh-contoh strategi sukses SBMPTN dan strategi menyiasati soal-soal SBMPTN; dan (3) untuk melatih peserta secara kontinyu dalam menerapkan strategi-strategi tersebut. Materi disampaikan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, pemodelan dan penugasan/latihan mengerjakan soal-soal SBMPTN. Analisis hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kesiapan siswa dalam menghadapi SBMPTN. Hal ini terbukti dari data berikut. (1) Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan adalah 44 siswa dan semuanya mengikuti pretes dengan rerata nilai 55.57; (2) Nilai pretes peserta rata-rata di bawah standar ketuntasan. Dari 44 peserta hanya 7 peserta yang tuntas atau memperoleh nilai 85 (15,91%), sisanya 37 siswa tidak tuntas; (3) Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti postes 40 orang dengan nilai rerata 85.38; (4) Nilai postes peserta telah mencapai standar ketuntasan yang diharapkan. Dalam hal ini, terdapat 33 siswa (82.50%) tuntas, sisanya 7 siswa tidak tuntas. Di samping itu, para peserta (siswa-siswi kelas XII se-Kabuapten Lombok Tengah) memberikan sambutan positif terhadap materi yang diberikan. Hal ini terlihat dari antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif mereka terhadap materi dan tugas-tugas yang diberikan selama kegiatan berlangsung. Bahkan, semua peserta mengharapkan agar dilakukan kegiatan serupa secara berkelanjutan. ABSTRACT This Community Service is motivated by the fact that the number of SBMPTN participants failing to pass from year to year continues to increase and the failure to pass is not solely due to the IQ factor. More than that, the failure to pass was also caused by the participants' lack of understanding of the SBMPTN system and pattern. The objectives of this service are more specifically: (1) to provide knowledge to participants about SBMPTN success strategies and strategies for dealing with SBMPTN questions; (2) to provide knowledge to participants about examples of successful SBMPTN strategies and strategies for dealing with SBMPTN questions; and (3) to train participants continuously in implementing these strategies. The material is delivered by the method of lecturing, question and answer, modeling and assignments / exercises to work on SBMPTN questions. The analysis of the results of the training showed that there was an increase in the readiness of students in facing the SBMPTN. This is evident from the following data. (1) The number of participants who took part in the activity was 44 students and all of them took part in the pretest with an average score of 55.57; (2) The average pre-test score of the participants is below the mastery standard. Of the 44 participants, only 7 participants completed or scored 85 (15.91%), the remaining 37 students did not complete; (3) The number of participants who took part in the posttest was 40 with a mean score of 85.38; (4) The participants' post-test scores have reached the expected completeness standards. In this case, 33 students (82.50%) completed, the remaining 7 students did not complete. In addition, the participants (class XII students from Central Lombok Regency) gave a positive response to the material given. This can be seen from their enthusiasm and active participation in the material and assignments given during the activity. In fact, all participants hoped that similar activities would be carried out in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The intensive use of synthetic chemical fertilizers has led to soil fertility degradation, environmental pollution, and high dependence on expensive production inputs. An environmentally friendly alternative is the use of local microbes as biofertilizers that can dissolve phosphate, fix nitrogen, and produce plant growth hormones. This community service activity aimed to increase the understanding of teachers at SMK PP Negeri Mataram about the role of local microbes in sustainable agriculture, while also providing basic skills in the technique of isolating phosphate-solubilizing bacteria from the rhizosphere. The implementation methods included material socialization, interactive discussions, laboratory practices, and evaluation of understanding through pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in understanding after the dissemination, with the majority of teachers scoring above 80 on the post-test. Enthusiasm was also evident in the isolation practice, as teachers gained hands-on experience that they had never had before. The impact of this activity not only increased teachers' knowledge of biofertilizers, but also opened up opportunities to integrate local microbe material into the school curriculum as an alternative to environmentally friendly agriculture.

Abstract

Mangroves are a potential source of plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) due to their unique habitat. Exploring potential endophytes as biofertilizers to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of IAA-producing endophytic bacteria and phosphate solubilizers from mangrove roots on the germination of mung beans (Vigna radiata L.). The bacteria were isolated from mangrove roots in the Bagek Kembar Mangrove Ecosystem Area, Sekotong, West Lombok. The study began with the isolation of endophytic bacteria, followed by characterization, including morphological identification, cell morphology (via Gram staining), and physiological properties (biochemical testing). The potential of endophytic bacteria to produce IAA was tested qualitatively (using colorimetry) and quantitatively (using a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 530 nm). Additionally, the ability of endophytic bacteria to solubilize phosphate was tested both qualitatively (using a screening method) and quantitatively (using a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 880 nm). To test the effect of endophytic bacteria on soybean germination, green soybean seeds were grown on modified Murphy medium for 5 days, with the observed parameters being plant height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight. The results of the green soybean germination observations were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA. Based on the research results, 11 endophytic bacterial isolates were found to be capable of producing IAA in the range of 16.88 to 30.28 ppm. Meanwhile, in terms of phosphate solubility, based on the screening results, 6 out of 11 isolates were able to solubilize phosphate with an average dissolved phosphate concentration of 17.63 ppm on the 4th day of incubation. The results of the analysis of the effect of IAA-producing bacteria and phosphate solubilizers on the germination of green beans showed a significant effect on plant height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight of green bean plants.

Abstract

Sesuvium portulacastrum is a coastal plant resistant to high salt content and drought. Exploration of rhizosphere bacteria is necessary to obtain potential isolates that can be developed as biofertilizers in the future. This study aims to isolate and identify rhizosphere bacteria from Sesuvium portulacastrum that are able to produce Indole Acetic Acid (IAA) and dissolve phosphate, and to test their effects in vitro on the germination of Vigna radiata L. Rhizosphere bacteria from the Bagek Kembar Mangrove Ecosystem Area, Sekotong, West Lombok Regency. A total of 14 bacterial isolates were successfully obtained and characterized based on morphological, physiological, and biochemical properties. All isolates produced IAA qualitatively and quantitatively (19.85–33.71 ppm) with isolate KT1 having the highest production (33.71 ppm). Qualitative phosphate solubilization test showed that 12 isolates were able to form a clear zone, while quantitatively it ranged from 7.86 to 16.18 ppm with isolate K8 having the highest value (16.18 ppm). Selected isolates KT1 (the highest IAA producer), K8 (the highest phosphate solubilizer), and K5 (both with high abilities) were tested for their effect on mung bean germination. Inoculation had a significant effect on plant height, root length, and dry weight (p<0.05). These results indicate that S. portulacastrum rhizosphere bacteria have the potential to be an environmentally friendly biofertilizer for plants in high-salinity soils.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems are unique habitats with extreme environmental conditions that select for adaptive endophytic microorganisms, making them a potential source of plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB). Exploring the potential of endophytes as biofertilizers to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers is crucial in the context of sustainable agriculture. This study aims to characterize the potential of mangrove root endophytic bacteria from the coast of Lombok as biofertilizer agents through the evaluation of Indole-3-Acetic Acid (IAA) hormone production and phosphate solubilization ability. Endophytic bacteria were isolated from roots, evaluated for IAA production using the Salkowski method, while phosphate solubilization ability was evaluated qualitatively on Pikovskaya agar and quantitatively in liquid culture using molybdenum blue spectrophotometry. Potential isolates were characterized morphologically to determine their bacterial genus. The results showed that all isolates produced IAA, with AV1 (51.52 ppm) and AV4 (42.86 ppm) categorized as high producers. Phosphate solubilization ability varied significantly, with AV1 showing the strongest activity (index 4.41), followed by M1 (1.93), while some isolates showed low to no activity. Quantitative tests showed a peak in dissolved phosphate on day 4, with M2 (18.20 ppm) and M1 (16.31 ppm) being the most efficient phosphate solubilizers. Phenotypic characterization identified all promising isolates (AV1, AV4, M1) as Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus sp. based on Bergey’s Manual of Systematic Bacteriology. Overall, AV1, AV4, and M1 were identified as the most promising candidates for further development as biofertilizers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi ekosistem mangrove dan literasi lingkungan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA, yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih berfokus pada hafalan dan kurangnya pemanfaatan potensi lokal yang ada disekitar sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan dari pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) Model Project Based Learning Berbasis Ekosistem Mangrove untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Ekosistem Mangrove dan Literasi Lingkungan Peserta Didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 1 Lembar. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi, observasi, angket respon, serta tes literasi ekosistem mangrove dan literasi lingkungan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji validitas,. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan LKPD Model Project Based Learning Berbasis Ekosistem Mangrove valid dalam meningkatkan literasi ekosistem mangrove dan literasi ligkungan peserta didik. Hasil validasi dilakukan oleh tiga validator ahli yang menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kevalidan pengembangan ATP sebesar 0.71, Modul Ajar sebesar 0.71, LKPD sebesar 0.72, dan instrument tes sebesar 0.73 semua perangkat pembelajaran dalam kategori valid. Hasil realibilitas dilakukan oleh tiga validator ahli yang menunjukkan nilai rata-rata reabilitas pengembangan ATP sebesar 99.45%, Modul Ajar sebesar 97.12%, LKPD sebesar 97.43%, dan instrument tes sebesar 99.45% semua perangkat pembelajaran dalam kategori reliabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instruen pengukuran yang digunakan dapat mengukur kemampuan literasi ekosistem mangrove dan kemampuan literasi lingkungan peserta didik dengan tingkat akurasi baik atau valid.

Abstract

Indonesia is recognized as a country rich in biodiversity, boasting an extensive variety of plants and animals. Lombok Island, one of Indonesia's islands, showcases a significant level of biodiversity. This island is home to the Mount Rinjani National Park. Within the TNGR region, Aik Berik Village serves as the designated hiking route for Mount Rinjani National Park, featuring a remarkable variety of plant life, such as orchids and ferns. Nonetheless, studies exploring the orchids and ferns along the Aik Berik hiking path remain scarce, and no one has examined them across different elevations, making this research essential. This study aims to determine the types of orchids and ferns and their distribution on the Aik Berik hiking trail of Mount Rinjani National Park. The method used in this study is the cruise method. The findings of this research identified 14 genera and 24 species of orchids, which include 17 epiphytic orchids and 7 terrestrial orchids, totaling 940 individuals. The orchid with the broadest distribution is Pinalia multiflora, located at altitudes between 1,000 and 2,500 meters above sea level, with a count of 100 individuals. Conversely, the least common species is Dendrobium rindjaniense, which exists at heights of 2,000 to 2,500 meters above sea level, totaling only 5 individuals. The study also discovered 15 families, 22 genera, and 31 species of ferns, comprising 25 terrestrial ferns and 6 epiphytic ferns, amounting to 8,165 individuals in total. The fern species that is distributed the most is Macrothelypteris torresiana, found at altitudes of 1,000 to 2,500 meters above sea level, with 1,150 individuals recorded. In contrast, the species with the least distribution is Huperzia selago, which appears at altitudes between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level, with just 20 individuals present.
