Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to produce the software of Sentence Scramble Game (SSG)as a syntax learning media for deaf children. Learning syntax includes the discussionabout sentence structures and functional orders. The method employed in this studyis research and development (R D) adopting the model development of Borg Gall,which covers ten steps simplified into six steps, namely: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3)development, 4) expert validation, 5) testing, and 6) disseminations. The subjects inthis research were 7 students of Karnamanohara Type B Special School. The methodsof data collection are direct observation, interview and questionnaires. The data wereanalyzed by descriptively and qualitatively. The results of this research show thatSentence Scramble Games (SSG) are eligible, proven by the results of the materialvalidation test with good category (4.0) and the media expert’s trial results with verygood category (4.2). The assessment of the feasibility of the media is also supportedby the trial results of three persons with excellent categories (4.1). A large scale trialby seven people results in the excellent category (4.6).

Abstract

Indonesia possesses extraordinarily high biodiversity, including numerous bird species inhabiting tropical rainforests. This study aimed to inventory and characterize birds in Citalahab Village, Gunung Halimun Salak National Park, one of Indonesia's largest tropical rainforest areas. Surveys were conducted on May 2 and 3, 2024, using transect methods. The research identified 70 bird species from 6 orders, with Passeriformes being the most abundant. The relative abundance index highlighted the dominant presence of the Collocalia linchi in the region. Environmental factors such as vegetation type and temperature significantly influenced bird distribution and diversity. The findings underscore the critical role of forest habitat conservation in preserving bird species diversity. This research contributes valuable insights into the understanding of bird diversity in Indonesian tropical rainforests and advocates for further conservation efforts.

Abstract

Hipertensi dapat  menjadi silent killer bagi penderitanya. Hipertensi dapat dikendalikan dengan terapi latihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengaruh resistance exercises dengan edukasi olah raga terhadap pengendalian tekanan darah penderita hipertensi stage 1. Desain penelitian Quasy-experimental pada 30 karyawan (n=30) PT. Telkom Cabang Semarang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan (n=15) dan kelompok kontrol (n=15) selama 6 minggu. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan resistance exercises dengan dosis latihan 2x/minggu dan  kelompok kontrol diberikan edukasi olah raga.  Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji statistik paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kelompok resistance exercises berpengaruh menurunkan tekanan darah sistolik sebelum dengan sesudah perlakuan signifikan P= 0.00 (P< 0,05) dan mean of difference (MD) = 9,27 mmHg. Kelompok edukasi tidak berpengaruh menurunkan tekanan darah sistolik sebelum dengan sesudah perlakuan P= 0.958 (P> 0,05) dan mean of difference (MD) = 0,067 mmHg. Kelompok resistance exercises berpengaruh menurunkan tekanan darah diastolik sebelum dengan sesudah perlakuan signifikan  P= 0.00 (P< 0,05) dan mean of difference (MD) = 4,55 mmHg. Kelompok edukasi tidak berpengaruh menurunkan tekanan darah diastolik sebelum dengan sesudah perlakuan P= 0.257 (P> 0,05) dan mean of difference (MD) = 1,067 mmHg. Resistance exercises lebih berpengaruh pada pengendalian tekanan darah penderita hipertensi stage 1 dibandingkan edukasi olah raga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu berpasangan terhadap kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa kelas II di SDN Papungan 1. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan Preexperiment Design dengan desain one pretest posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Papungan 1. Sampel penelitian ini diambil secara acak (simple random sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan tes tulis pilihan ganda dan hasil data dianalisis dengan berbantuan Program Windows SPSS 26. Uji prasyarat yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas dengan menggunakan rumus kolmogrov-smirnov dan dilakukan uji homogenitas varian untuk melihat kesamaan varian pada kedua kelompok. Kriteria data berdistribusi normal dengan taraf signifikasi 5% (0,05). Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan t-test. Pada awal observasi menunjukkan nilai rata-rata matapelajaran matematika materi perkalian adalah 53 dan setelah melaksanakan treatment menggunakan media kartu berpasangan, nilai rata-rata siswa memperoleh 73. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan hasil uji paired sample t-test dengan nilai Sig.(2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 yaitu lebih kecil dari 0,05 dan dapat diketahui bahwa -thitung <ttabel yaitu 17,493 > 2.101 (0.05/2). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media kartu berpasangan berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berhitung siswa.

Abstract

Rumah gadang merupakan salah satu ekspresi Arsitektur tradisional Minangkabau yang mampu mencerminkan kebijakan.penggunaan bahasa arsitektural masyarakat etnis tersebut. Rumah gadang menjadi simbol kebesaran dari sebuah kaum, karena selain sebagai rumah tinggal rumah gadang juga menjadi tempat berkumpulnya seluruh keluarga seperti rapat keluarga, upacara adat, dan lain-lain.Seiring berkembangnya waktu dan kemajuan zaman, nilai dari arsitektur vernakular Minangkabau mulai ditinggalkan oleh warganya. Dampaknya bentuk keaslian rumah gadang semakin memudar dan tidak dikenali lagi. Namun, di samping itu banyak juga pihak yang tetap mempertahankan nilai rumah gadang dengan menerapkan beberapa aspek keaslian dari rumah gadang itu sendiri ke bangunan modern. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk arsitektur tradisional minangkabau, dan untuk mengetahui apa saja bentuk penerapan arsitektur tradisional minangkabau pada gedung perkantoran Bukittinggi dari segi bentuk fisik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melihat berbagai sumber penelitian arsitektur tradisional minangkabau melalui observasi dan melihat berbagai sumber pustaka. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi penerapan bentuk-bentuk arsitektur tradisional minangkabau pada gedung kantor Bersama DPKAD, Bapedda, Kesbangpolinmas, dan BAZ di Bukittinggi seperti atap bergonjong dan bentuk bangunan persegi simetris yang memanjang.

Abstract

Listening is the first skill of English that should learned by students. This is because before students can respond to their teachers, they must listen first to get information and concepts. Moreover, there are still many students who have difficulties in listening comprehension. This study to find out students’ difficulties and factors that cause students’ difficulties in listening comprehension of Eleventh-grade students in SMAN 1 Muara Teweh. This study used quantitative descriptive research design and sampling technique using cluster random sampling. Data collection instrument used questionnaire. From the data analysis, as many as 49% of students have difficulty related to listening material, 52.8% of students have difficulty related to the listener, and 82% of students have difficulty related to physical setting. Besides, the factors that cause students’ difficulties in listening comprehension were depend on others, and shame to ask the teacher about the material. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that most students have some difficulties in listening comprehension, which has constrained their ability to improve their listening skills. Abstract

Material is an important component of teaching to create a successful teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe the content of reading material in “Bahasa Inggris” textbook which endorsed by the government, especially the readability of the reading texts. This study used a descriptive content analysis method to analyze, interpret, and describe the data of the textbook. Moreover, the instruments for analyzing the readability of the texts were How Many Syllables program and Flesch Reading Ease formula. The result showed that the research finding dealt with readability level of the texts in the textbook which was categorized into three categories. Firstly, the texts were categorized as readable, but they were under the expected level of the tenth grade with a percentage of 62.5. Secondly, the texts were categorized as readable, and they were intended for the tenth grade students with a percentage of 12.5. Thirdly, the texts were categorized as not readable because they were above the expected level with a percentage of 25. Based on this research finding, it can be concluded that How Many Syllables program and Flesch Reading Ease formula can help the teachers to provide appropriate reading material for students.

Abstract

Schools, as key educational institutions, play a vital role in fostering 21st-century skills, notably the 4Cs: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Among these, reading ability stands out as a fundamental skill in elementary education, essential for students' overall learning success. This study investigates the reading comprehension difficulties experienced by students at Sekolah Dasar Teologi Kristen Galilea Banjarmasin. The study aims to analyze these difficulties in depth to provide insights into improving reading instruction and enhancing student learning outcomes. Objective to determine the reading difficulties of grade five students at SDTK Galilea Banjarmasin. Quantitative descriptive method research design. The population is the grade five at SDTK Galilea Banjarmasin, with a total sample of fitteen students. This research was conducted by distributing questions to children. Based on the data it can be know that 53,32% students has difficulties in determining main idea, 36,66% of students has difficulties in understanding vocabulary, 29,99% of students has difficulties in finding detail information, 28,33% students has difficulties in locating references, 26,66% students has difficulties in making inferences. Based on the analysis of students’ reading comprehension test result at SDTK Galilea Banjarmasin it can be concluded that students face challenges in various aspects of reading comprehension. They particulary struggle with identifying main idea, identifying references, making references, locating detailed information in the text. These finding suggest that students’ overall reading comprehension is still low, indicating a need for targed instructional strategies to addres these issues in the learning procces.

Abstract

Promosi Kesehatan sejak dini merupakan salah satu bentuk pencegahan masalah kesehatan yang efektif. Kesadaran akan pentingnya kesehatan harus ditanamkan sejak dini. Promosi kesehatan di sekolah yang dicanangkan oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia menggunakan model holistik yang meliputi hubungan antar aspek fisik, mental, sosial dan lingkungan. Saat ini masalah kesehatan yang sering terjadi pada anak usia sekolah adalah infeksi pernapasan, infeksi pencernaan dan masalah tumbuh kembang. Masalah kesehatan tersebut sangat berkaitan erat dengan perilaku anak dan pola makan. Perilaku hidup bersih sehat (PHBS), jajanan sehat dan Tumbuh kembang dalam Gerakan Aku Anak Sehat (GANAS) merupakan tiga pilar penting dalam meningkatkan kesehatan anak usia sekolah. Gerakan aku anak sehat ini merupakan Gerakan melakukan pola hidup sehat yang mengajarkan anak-anak untuk mekakukan hal yang positif untuk dirinya sendiri dan orang lain. Perilaku pola hidup sehat merupakan perilaku yang dapat mempengaruhi keadaan gizi anak-anak dan sikapnya dalam belajar. Bentuk Promosi kesehatan akan dikemas dalam kegiatan yang menarik dan interikatif, menggunakan media video edukasi, poster dan disajikan dalam bentuk diskusi dan bermain, sehingga anak usia sekolah tidak merasa bosan, dan pesan bisa tersampaikan maksimal. Gerakan aku anak sehat ini bertujuan untuk anak-anak supaya terbiasa melakukan pola hidup sehat dan disekolah memilikilingkungan yang nyaman untuk anak-anak belajar.Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sempel simple random sampling dengan melakukan wawancara secara langsung dan pertanyaan yang tidak terencana. Metode yang digunakan juga menggunakan alat seperti poster ,ppt untuk menarik perhatian siswa dan siswi SD Penuai Medan.Dari penelitian ini peneliti memiliki sampel 100 siswa dan siswi pada saat sebelum dilakukannya penyuluhan nilai rata-rata dari penyuluhan 48,32% dan setelah penyuluhan menjadi 89,78, yang semulanya siswa banyak yang tidak mengetahui bangai mana pola hidup bersih dan sehat menjadi tau bahwa pentingnya hidup bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Schools play an important role in developing the intelligence of the younger generation, including intellectual, emotional, and spiritual aspects. An optimal learning process requires a balance between good teaching quality and a conducive learning environment. However, one of the obstacles in traditional learning is the lack of interaction between teachers and students, which is often caused by feelings of reluctance and shame. This condition hinders the effectiveness of learning. To overcome this problem, a mentoring program was implemented involving grade XII students as mentors for grade X students. In this program, grade XII students who understand the material help grade X students to learn. This study aims to examine the effect of the mentoring program on grade X students' understanding of Biodiversity material. This program is designed to create a more personal and supportive learning atmosphere, so that students feel more comfortable asking questions and discussing. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test posttest control group design. The results showed that the mentoring program significantly improved students' understanding of Biodiversity material. Therefore, this program can be an effective alternative to improve the quality of learning and improve student understanding.
