Abstract

Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) germination takes a long time because robusta coffee beans have a hard seed coat that makes it difficult for water and oxygen to penetrate, causing the germination process to be hampered. The purpose of this study is to determine the gibberellin concentration, and the proper soaking time in the germination of robusta coffee seeds and to obtain the best interaction between gibberellin concentration and soaking time on the viability of coffee seeds that have been peeled. The research was conducted at the Dharmasraya Campus III Seed Technology Laboratory from July to September 2022. This study was a two-factorial experiment in a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the concentration of gibberellins which had four levels: 0, 100, 200, and 300 ppm, the second factor was soaking time which had 3 levels: 8, 16, and 24 hours. The results showed that the treatment with gibberellin of 300 ppm significantly increased seed germination, plumule, radicle elongation, and vigor index on robusta coffee seeds. And, the best soaking time of 24 hours, the long soaking treatment had a significant effect on the germination power of robusta coffee seeds. With the best treatment, a gibberellin concentration of 300 ppm and 24 hours, the interaction between gibberellins concentration and soaking time can increase the germination power of robusta coffee seeds.

Abstract

Our previous research had screened 9 best indigenous endophytic isolates for their ability to control Ralstonia syzigii subsp. indonesiensis, the causal agents of bacterial wilt disease in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) in green house condition. Those 9 strains were Bacillus cereus EPL1.1.3, B. cereus TLE2.3, B. toyonensis EPL1.1.4, Serratia nematodiphila TLE1.1, B. anthracis SNE2.2, B. cereus E1.AB1.2, B. cereus E1AB2.1, Enterobacter cloacae subsp. dissolvens TLE2.2 and S. marcescens KLE3.3. The purposed of this study is to test the ability of the endophytic bacteria strains in increasing defense related enzyme activities of tomato. Bacterial strains were tested for its ability to induce the defense-related enzymes which were phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL), peroxidase (PO) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) in roots and leaves of tomato plants. R. syzigii subsp. indonesiensis inoculated to host plants 7 days after the endophyte bacteria strains inoculation. Enzyme activities were recorded at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 and 15 days after pathogen inoculation (dpi).  It was observed that PAL, PO and PPO activities were significantly increased in all of the endophytic bacteria inoculated treatments compared to control plant. Activities of PAL in the leaves was fast similar to the roots; but PO activities was higher in the roots compared to that in the leaves, whereas PPO activities was higher in the leaves than in the roots. PAL and PO reached the maximum level at different time in the leaves (3 dpi and 15 dpi), in the roots (5 dpi and 12 dpi), whereas PPO in the leaves at 12 dpi and in the roots at 9 dpi.

Abstract

Aklimatisasi adalah faktor yang menentukkan keberhasilan pertumbuhan bibit hasil kultur jaringan.  Tujuan penelitian adalah mengevaluasi pertumbuhan 2 genotipe pisang ambon lokal Rejang Lebong hasil kultur jaringan. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan satu faktor yaitu faktor genotipe pisang ambon lokal Rejang Lebong, yaitu ambon kuning dan ambon hijau. Setiap percobaan terdiri dari 3 ulangan, sehingga ada 6 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis varians pada taraf 5%. Uji lanjut yang digunakan untuk menguji nyata tidaknya perbedaan adalah BNT (beda nyata terkecil). Ambon kuning memberikan pertumbuhan yang terbaik pada peubah tinggi tanaman dan panjang daun. Rata rata tinggi bibit ambon kuning yaitu 19.74 cm sedangkan ambon hijau tinggi tanamannya 15.18 cm. Panjang daun ambon kuning 11.89 cm  dan ambon hijau 9.61 cm. Diharapkan bibit ambon kuning hasil kultur jaringan ini bisa dibudidayakan oleh petani Rejang Lebong.

Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascolanicum L.) is one of the horticultural crops that is widely consumed by humans. This study aims to obtain interaction the type of mulch and doses of chicken manure on the growth and yield of shallots. This Research was conducted at Panai Pasir Talang , Muara Labuh, South Solok Regency with a height of ± 430 meters above sea level, in December 2018 to February 2019. The research method is an experiments used factorial complete randomized design with two factors. Factors I is the type of mulch (black plastic mulch, silver plastic mulch, rice straw mulch) and factors II is chicken manure (10 tons / ha, 20 tons / ha and 30 tons / ha).. The results showed that there was no interaction between the use of several types of mulch with chicken manure doses on the growth and yield of shallots. The use of black plastic mulch yielded the best results on fresh tuber weight per plot and per hectare of onion namely 1,643 kg / plot and 11.74 tons / ha. The dose of chicken manure of 20 tons / ha gave the best influence on plant height, number of leaves, fresh tuber weight per clump, per plot and per hectare as well as wind dry weight per clump, per plot and per hectare of onion.

Abstract

Batu Busuk has an excellent opportunity to become one of the tourist areas in the eastern region of Padang City. As a tourist area, the aspects of comfort and cleanliness in the area and surroundings are essential to provide a memorable travel experience, including the residential areas nearby. Lack of public awareness of waste management and waste treatment and no application of the 3R principles of reduce, reuse and recycle are the problems encountered in Batu Busuk. The community service implementation team carried out a series of activities from 2021-2022 to support sustainable tourism development. This activity aims to increase community understanding of waste and the importance of waste management and introduce and enhance the formation of a waste bank in Batu Busuk. The activities included counselling on waste management, comparative studies and field visits to Farmers Women Group Tunas Harapan and Panca Daya waste bank, which have implemented the treatment of organic and non-organic waste into various economically valuable products. It can be concluded that waste management in Batu Busuk is needed to support sustainable tourism. A Batu Busuk Waste Bank unit is required to effectively solve the waste management problem and reduce waste generation in Batu Busuk and its tourism area. Training on the method to treat both organic waste into plant nutrients and non-organic waste into various crafts must be conducted. The products have economic value and are an effective solution for reducing the volume of waste.

Abstract

Tanaman mint memiliki manfaat yang banyak seperti obat, makanan, minuman dan kosmetik menyebabkan kebutuhan tanaman mint terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Salah satu upaya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan mint adalah penanaman mint secara cepat dan sehat menggunakan sitem hidroponik dengan nutrisi pupuk organik cair. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh konsentrasi pupuk organik terbaik sebagai nutrisi tanaman mint. Pelaksanaan penelitian berlangsung di Rumah Hidroponik 55, Limau Manis, Cupak Tangah yang berlangsung dari mei sampai juli 2022. Rancangan Percobaan mengunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 kali ulangan. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair 0%, 8%, 16%, dan 24%. Data hasil pengamatan diuji dengan uji F 5% dan jika berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DNMRT 5%. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan terbaik diperoleh dari pemberian AB-mix. Pemberian pupuk organik cair dengan konsentrasi 16% memeberikan hasil yang sama dengan pemberian AB-mix dalam peningkatan luas helaian daun dan mampu menghasilkan bobot segar tanaman yang lebih tinggi dibanding konsentrasi 8%.

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi Peningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang dapat dilakukankan dengan pemberian  pupuk, diantaranya pupuk organik cair limbah kulit pisang kapok.  Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2021 sampai dengan Januari 2022 di Lubuk Minturun, Kecamatan Koto Tangah, Kota Padang,Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menentukan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok yang dapat memberikan hasil optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok yaitu: 0 ml/l air, 150 mL/L air, 200 ml/l air,dan 250 mL/L air. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F pada taraf 5%, apabila F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan’s New Multiple Range Tes (DNMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair kulit pisang dengan konsentrasi 150 ml/l memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil tanaman bawang merah varietas SS Sakato.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the plantation commodities that has significant economic value. A factor that needs to be considered in coffee plant cultivation is good planting media composition. This study aims to determine the effect of planting media composition on the growth of robusta coffee seedlings. This study used a Completely Randomized Design with treatments M0= Soil: 100%, M1= Soil: 50% + Coffee Husk Compost: 25% + Rice Husk: 25%, M2= Soil: 25% + Coffee Husk Compost: 50% + Rice Husk: 25%, M3= Soil: 25% + Coffee Husk Compost: 25% + Rice Husk: 50%. The analyses conducted were compost analysis and initial and post-incubation soil analysis. Observation data were analyzed using the F test followed by DNMRT at the 5% level. The research results show that the provision of coffee husk compost and rice husks affects the chemical properties of the soil and the growth of coffee seedlings. The planting media composition of Soil: 25% + Coffee Husk Compost: 50% + Rice Husk: 25% proved to increase the pH of the planting media from 5.5 to 6.6, increase in total N-value from 0.2% to 0.5%, available P from 18.6 ppm to 38.5 ppm and the soil CEC from 7.6 me/100g to 36.6 me/100g. This planting media composition also makes it possible to enhance the growth of robusta coffee seedlings in plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf width, and root volume. Thus, this planting media composition is a suitable medium for the growth of robusta coffee seedlings.

Abstract

Jahe sering digunakan sebagai bumbu masak, minuman, dan obat herbal alami. Produksi jahe Indonesia di tahun 2021 diperkirakan mencapai 307,24 ribu ton, meningkat 67,42% dari tahun sebelumnya. Peningkatan hasil jahe dapat dilakukan dengan cara ekstensifikasi dengan memanfaatkan ultisol. Pupuk organik solid decanter padat mengandung N, P, K, dan Mg  dan Urea dapat meningkatkan  pertumbuhan tanaman jahe.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui interaksi antara dosis solid decanter dengan pupuk urea terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jahe gajah. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Januari sampai dengan April 2023 di Desa Koto Tuo, Kelurahan  Lambung Bukik, Kecamatan Pauh ± 160 mdpl. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah faktorial 3 x 2 dengan 3 ulangan dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor pertama dosis pupuk organik Solid Decanter: 5 ton/ha atau 60 g/lubang tanam, 10 ton/ha atau 120 g/lubang tanam, 15 ton/ha atau 180 g/lubang tanam. Faktor kedua dosis pupuk Urea: 150 kg/ha atau 1,8 g/tanaman dan 300 kg/ha atau 3,6 g/tanaman. Ada interaksi antara pemberian Solid decanter dengan urea terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman jahe gajah. Dosis Solid decanter terbaik untuk pertumbuhan diameter batang jahe adalah 10 ton/ha atau 120 g/lubang tanam. Dosis Urea terbaik untuk pertumbuhan diameter batang jahe adalah 300 kg/ha atau 3,6 g/ lubang tanam.

Abstract

The My Like application is an application designed to manage human resources quickly, efficiently and effectively. In application development, government employees and agencies can access various important information through an application that simplifies the process of managing administrative services by providing alternative solutions that are sent or managed via accounts created quickly, using administrative service technology, this research uses qualitative methods to explain the implementation of the mylike application in Bone district. Qualitative methods are methods that focus on in-depth observations and produce more comprehensive studies. Data collection techniques in this research use library research. The data source for this research is the website, the My Like Bone application is able to improve employee performance and provide accurate information and knowledge that employees need. Based on the results of the analysis with the availability of the My Like Bone application, ASN employees will be increasingly advanced in using increasingly advanced technology, and will simplify all aspects of city and regional management and improve human resource development.
