Abstract

Preferences of Tetrastichus brontispae Ferriere and the influence of population density areimportant to known to determine the propagation techniques are effective and efficient. Theobjective of this research were to study the stage of Brontispa longissima that mostpreference by T. brontispae and ideal comparison between T. brontispae and B. longissimafor propagation. The study consisted of two parts: 1) Preferences of T. brontispae againstlarvae and young pupae of B. longissima. 2) The effect of population density on thedevelopment of parasitoid T. brontispae. Results of the studies showed T. brontispaepreference to young pupae of B. longissima compared with the fourth instar larvae and thirdinstar larvae for parasitization. The average number of young pupa, fourth instar larvae, andthird instar larvae were parasitization row is 4.80 ± 0.52, 2.0 ± 0.47 and 0.6 ± 0.42. Thenumber of adult parasitoids emerged most is the treatment with the one parasitoid female,as many as 17.20 individual. Developmental time from egg to adult each density treatmentrespectively are 17.50; 18.80; 20.80; 22.50 days, and none of adult parasitoid emerged onthe density of 9 tails parasitoid females. Population density of parasitoid T. brontispaesignificantly affect the number of offspring and developmental time from egg to adult.

Abstract

Tanaman yang sangat efektif. Sistem ini dikembangkan berdasarkan alasan bahwa jika tanaman diberi kondisi pertumbuhan yang optimal, maka potensi maksimum untuk berproduksi dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jalan Provinsi Parit 1 Kampus Universitas Islam Indragiri, Kecamatan Tembilahan Hulu, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Provinsi Riau. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan selama 3 Bulan terhitung mulai Bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2015. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan yaitu pemberian Nutrisi POC Jus Bumi= 150 ppm, Pemberian Nutrisi POC Bonggol Pisang = 150 ppm, Pemberian Nutrisi POC Bekicot= 150 ppm, Pemberian Nutrisi POC Limbah Sayur= 150 ppm, Pemberian Nutrisi POC Eceng Gondok = 150 ppm Pemberian Nutrisi POC Ampas Tebu = 150 ppm. Parameter yang diamati yaitu jumlah Daun, Luas Daun, Tinggi tanaman, Panjang Akar, Volume Akar, Kadar Air, Diameter Batang, Bobot Hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan POC jus bumi memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi terbaik untuk tanaman selada secara hidroponik. Perlakuan POC jus bumi berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah daun, luas daun, tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, volume akar, kadar air, diameter batang, bobot hasil.

Abstract

The agricultural ecosystem has a diversity of habitats that vary greatly from simple to complex. Observing the diversity of insects in agricultural areas is important to support increased production. An insect inventory study of tidal rice crops has been conducted in Indragiri Hilir Regency. Objective of research was to obtain information about the types of insects in tidal rice plant ecosystems. This research was conducted using purposive random sampling. Collection of insects was done using pitfall trap, yellow pan trap, swing nets and malaise traps. Tidal rice plantation area of ​​Indragiri regency has 8 types of insect order obtained from 4 types of traps installed, ie insect order diptera, hymenoptera, hemiptera, orthoptera, coleoptera, lepidoptera, collembola and odonata. The highest insect population at the time before the rice planting period was occupied by insects of the order, followed by hymenoptera, hemiptera, orthoptera, coleoptera, lepidotera, and collembola respectively. Indragiri's downstream rice cultivation has high biodiversity potential and biological agents to be developed.
