Abstract

Indonesia’s expanding fitness industry has intensified competition, making customer satisfaction crucial for retention and sustainability. However, limited research explains how Service Experience, Atmosphere, and Customer Engagement influence satisfaction through Perceived Value in local fitness-center contexts. This study aims to analyze the effects of Service Experience, Atmosphere, and Customer Engagement on Customer Satisfaction, with Perceived Value as a mediating variable among fitness-center members in Lamongan. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using a cross-sectional survey. Structured questionnaires were distributed to 220 active members, and the proposed relationships were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings show that Service Experience, Atmosphere, and Customer Engagement positively and significantly affect Perceived Value. Customer Engagement and Perceived Value positively and significantly affect Customer Satisfaction. Atmosphere has no significant direct effect, while Service Experience has a significant negative direct effect on Customer Satisfaction. Perceived Value mediates the effects of all three antecedents on Customer Satisfaction. The study concludes that Perceived Value is a central mechanism linking service-related experiences to satisfaction and supporting stronger customer loyalty, competitiveness, and long-term relationships in Indonesia’s increasingly competitive local fitness service market today.

Abstract

Desa Drajat in Lamongan Regency is a major producer of Sapodilla (Manilkara zapota), locally known as Sawo. Its high perishability, however, consistently results in 20–30% post-harvest losses, posing substantial economic challenges for farmers and local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to empower the community through the KKN Tematik program by Universitas Islam Darul 'Ulum (UNISDA) Lamongan, employing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The program centers on converting fresh Sapodilla into Serbuk Sawo Drajat, a natural powdered sweetener derived from local fruit that aligns with Green Economy and Circular Entrepreneurship principles. The methodology covered four stages: planning, action (training on processing and packaging), observation, and reflection. Findings indicate a marked increase in partner capacity: zero-waste understanding rose by 85%, processing proficiency by 90%, and digital marketing awareness by 80%. This product successfully extends the shelf life of Sawo to 12 months and raises its economic value, thereby strengthening community-based sustainable economic resilience.

Abstract

General Background Environmental sustainability increasingly integrates with modern business development through sustainable entrepreneurship models. Specific Background Within higher education, university students demonstrate substantial potential to develop green commercial ventures supported by their academic competencies. Knowledge Gap However, the relationship connecting ecological education and environmental concern to sustainable business creation is not always direct, necessitating a psychological bridging mechanism. Aims This study investigates the formation of green entrepreneurial intentions among university students by positioning self-efficacy as a critical mediating variable. Results Utilizing Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares on purposively sampled students, the quantitative analysis demonstrates that both green entrepreneurship education and environmental concern positively determine self-efficacy and green entrepreneurial intentions. Furthermore, self-efficacy successfully mediates the relationship between educational exposure, ecological awareness, and the ultimate intention to establish sustainable ventures. Novelty This research distinctly integrates formal green business education and ecological concern within a specific self-efficacy mediation framework to explain the psychological progression of student entrepreneurial intentions. Implications Consequently, higher education institutions must systematically integrate ecological sustainability into business curricula to build self-efficacy and successfully cultivate a new generation of environmentally responsible entrepreneurs. Highlights Green entrepreneurship education and environmental concern positively determine student self-efficacy. Self-efficacy successfully mediates the relationship between ecological awareness and sustainable business intentions. Higher education institutions must integrate sustainability into business curricula to build entrepreneurial confidence. Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt digital marketing strategies to enhance business competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing at Rafisa MSME in Lamongan using the 9P marketing mix framework, including product, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical evidence, partnership, and personalization. A qualitative case study approach was employed involving eight purposively selected informants consisting of the business owner, employees, customers, and business partners. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña with source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that digital marketing through WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok has been implemented effectively, with WhatsApp and Facebook serving as the most effective platforms. The implementation of the 9P marketing mix has increased customer acquisition, purchase intention, and customer loyalty. However, challenges remain, including centralized social media management, delayed customer responses, and limited production capacity. The study concludes that digital marketing has positively contributed to Rafisa's business development.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out to empower the Home Industry (IRT) of “Putri” Sapodilla Syrup in Pangkatrejo Village, Sugio Subdistrict, Lamongan. The partner faced challenges in three main aspects: inconsistent product quality and a short shelf life due to limited production technology, weak business management systems and financial record-keeping, and a marketing strategy limited to conventional promotional methods. The implementation method consisted of five stages: socialization, training, application of appropriate technology, mentoring, and evaluation. Interventions included the use of pasteurization machines, heavy-duty blenders, pH meters, refractometers, and vacuum sealers to improve product hygiene and shelf life. In terms of management, training was provided on digital financial recording, brand identity development, and simple business archiving. In marketing, redesigned packaging was introduced through Canva Pro, the activation of social media accounts (Instagram and TikTok), and distribution via e-commerce platforms (Shopee). The results showed significant improvements: the syrup product can now last up to three months without preservatives, sales increased by up to 30% within six months, and the partner’s managerial skills improved through digital record-keeping. Specifically, the partner’s average monthly revenue increased from IDR 3,000,000 before the program to approximately IDR 4,000,000 - 4,200,000 after the interventions. This program contributes to the achievement of SDGs 8, 9, and 12, and supports the strengthening of a green economy based on local potential.
