Abstract

This research purposed to know the influence of using worksheet based on Guided Inquiry towards students CSP in junior high school on material of Global Warming. Research design was pretest-posttest of the nonequivalent group. Research sample were class VII.1 and VII.2 with purposive sampling technique. The students CSP data that were obtained from the score of pretest, posttest and N-gain were analyzed by t-test. The CSP qualitative data and the responses were analyzed descriptively. The research result was N-gain=76 17. The observation of students CSP was 83,2%. 81.45% of students gave the positive response to the use of the worksheet based on Guided Inquiry. Then, this worksheet based on Guided Inquiry had significant influence in increasing the students CSP on material of Global Warming.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap KPS siswa SMP pada materi Pemanasan Global. Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian kelas VII.1 dan VII.2 dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data KPS siswa yang diperoleh dari nilai pretest, posttest dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif KPS dan tanggapan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian N-gain = 76 17. Observasi KPS siswa yaitu 83,2%. 81,45% siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing. Sehingga, LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi Pemanasan Global.Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan proses sains (KPS), LKS, pemanasan global

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the  laboratory-based learning toward   student  activitites and learning outcomes. The research  used  a pretest-posttest design. The samples in this study were student of class VIIIA and VIIIB   that  were randomly selected using cluster random sampling technique. The study collected quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data  of  student learning outcomes obtained from pre test and posttest. Quantitative data  was analyzed using t-test at 5% confidence level. Qualitative data was  student activity  observed during laboratory-based learning.The results of this study showed that the  N-gain score of student  of experimental  class which using  laboratory-based learning was 60.51  higher than the average  N-gain  score of student of control class which  using discussion learning (49.71). Furthermore, the N-gain score of students' learning activities  of the experimental class reached 77.4 was higher than the control class that was 70.4. It can be concluded that the use of laboratory-based learning could improved student activities and learning outcomes of human digestive system concepts. Keywords: Lab-Based Learning, Student Activities, Learning Outcomes, Digestive System.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the effect of using cooperative learning type GI to the student learning result and activities at Polution and Environmental Damage main material. The quantitative data was taken from average scores of pre-test, post-test, and N-gain which were statistically analyzed by using T-test dan U-test. The qualitative data were the student learning activities taken from observation and student response sheets. The result of this research showed that the using of cooperative learning model type GI has effect to student learning result. The average student learning result improvement at all indicators which were observed in the average N-gain scores in experimental class is higher than in the control class. The whole average activities of students with cooperative learning model type GI in the experimental class is higher than with discussion method in the control class. Furthermore, 84.6% of the students responded the cooperative learning model type GI positively.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan kooperatif tipe GI terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok Pencemaran dan Kerusakan Lingkungan. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif adalah data aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar pada semua indikator yang diamati pada rata-rata nilai N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode diskusi pada kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya, 84,6% siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, group investigation, hasil belajar,  pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan

Abstract

This study aimed to know the influence of guided inquiry learning model toward students critical thinking (SCT) skill on living organism characteristic subject matter. This study used design pretest posttest non equivalent. The sample are VII A andVII B class that was elected by using cluster random sampling technique. The quantitative data which obtained was gain which analyzed using t-test at SPSS 17 program. The results showed  increased of to SCT skill which average N-gain of experiment class 29.67 was higher than control class 24.55. The average SCT skill of experiment class was increased on 22.2 %. The average percentage of students learning activitied in all aspects of that observed in experimental class was higher than the class of controls (experiment = 70.72; control = 66.52). Thus it can be concluded that guided inquiry learning model was influenced toward SCT skill on living organism characteristics subject matter as significantly. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh  model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pokok ciri-ciri makhluk hidup terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis (KBK) siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VIIB yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data kuantitatif berupa gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-tdengan program SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan KBK siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata gain 29,67 lebih tinggi dari rata-rata gain pada kelas kontrol 24,55. Selain itu, rata-rata indikator KBK siswa pada kelas eksperimen juga mengalami peningkatan 22,2 %. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa dalam semua aspek yang diamati pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (eksperimen = 70,72; kontrol = 66,52). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan KBK dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok ciri-ciri makhluk hidup.Kata kunci: ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, inkuiri terbimbing, kemampuan berpikir kritis

Abstract

Critical thinking skills should be owned by everyone. Observations indicate that the students’ thinking skills of class IX SMP N 8 Bandar Lampung had been developed. Therefore, it is necessary to act as a solution to improve the students’ thinking skills. One way to use multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type. This research aimed to find out the effect of the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type to the students' thinking skills on the subject matter of the Human Reproductive System.The research design was pretest-posttest design are not equivalent. The research sample is class IX A and IX B are selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain satistik analyzed. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data taken using the rubric student activity data and student responses to learning using multimedia animation with type STAD cooperative learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type significantly affect toward students' thinking skills. In addition, an increase of students critical thinking in the experimental class with an average N-gain 63.95%  is medium criteria, on average N-gain of all the indicators of students in the experimental class students' thinking skills also increased the amount of 65.88% with criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class has medium criteria 71.75%. In addition, most students responded positively to the use of multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type.  Keywords: Multimedia Animation, STAD, critical thinking skills, The Human Reproductive System

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of discovery learnings model to critical thinking skill and students learning outcome on ecosystem subject matter. The design of this research was control group pretest-postest. The samples were class VIIA and VIID SMP Kartika II-2 Bandar Lampung which chosen by purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were learning outcome which was obtained from pretest-postest that were analyzed by t test. The qualitative data were critical thinking skill which was obtained from students worksheet and students response to discovery learnings model that was obtained from questionare that were analyzed descriptively. The average of N-gain in experiment class (61,92) was different significantly with control class (54,62). The average of percentage critical thinking skill in experiment class have good characterized (76%). It could be concluded that discovery learnings model influenced critical thinking skill and students learning outcome on ecosystem subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem. Desain penelitian ini merupakan desain control group pretest-postest. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIID SMP Kartika II-2 Bandar Lampung yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif hasil belajar diperoleh dari pretest-postest yang dianalisis dengan uji t. Data kualitatif berupa data kemampuan berpikir kritis diperoleh dari LKS dan tanggapan siswa terhadap model discovery learning diperoleh dari angket yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain (61,92) berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol (54,62). Rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen berkriteria baik (76%). Sehingga penerapan model discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem.Kata kunci: discovery learning, hasil belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis

Abstract

The lab workbook was used to support laboratory activities. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of the guide book of classification of living creatures developed with ADI model. The research design was R D with 4-D model covering define stage, design, develop, and disseminate but disseminate not done. The practical lab book was made with a bright cover and a Franklin Gothic Book letter. Each practicum guide consists of a practical title, basic theory, objectives, research questions, tools, materials, work steps, argumentation schemes including claims, data, warrants, backing, argumentation sessions, and reports. Expert and practitioner validation test results are categorized as "excellent". The results of legibility test categorization "excellent". The results of the implementation test of practicum criteria "almost all activities performed". Thus, it can be concluded that the guiding book of practicum developed is declared valid and practical.Buku penuntun praktikum digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan laboratorium. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan validitas dan praktikalitas buku penuntun praktikum klasifikasi makhluk hidup yang dikembangkan dengan model ADI. Desain penelitian adalah R D dengan model 4-D meliputi tahapan define, design, develop, dan disseminate tetapi disseminate tidak dilakukan. Buku penuntun praktikum dibuat dengan sampul yang cerah dan huruf Franklin Gothic Book. Setiap penuntun praktikum terdiri atas judul praktikum, dasar teori, tujuan, pertanyaan penelitian, alat, bahan, langkah kerja, skema argumentasi yang meliputi claim, data, warrant, backing, sesi argumentasi, dan laporan. Hasil uji validasi ahli dan praktisi berkategori baik sekali. Hasil uji keterbacaan berkategori baik sekali. Hasil uji keterlaksanaan praktikum berkriteria hampir seluruh kegiatan terlaksana. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku penuntun praktikum dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan praktis.Kata kunci: Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI), klasifikasi makhluk hidup, penuntun praktikum

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and mastery of subject matter is required by students in the learning procces. The research has purpose to determine the effect of application audio-visual media through TPS model to the critical thinking ability and material mastery on environmental management subject matter. This is a experimental study research by pretest postest non equivalent group design. The samples of this research are VII E and VII F classroom chosen by purposive sampling method. Quantitative data obtained from the pretest and the posttest which analyzed statistically using t-test by spss 17. Qualitative data obtained from questionnaire regarding student response on audio-visual media through TPS model which analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in the critical thinking skills and material mastery of the experimental class on all indicators (critical thinking skills N-gain 61.12%, mastery of subject matter N- gain 62.25%). Moreover, 70% students give positive response on audio-visual media through TPS learning model. Therefore, the using of audio-visual media through TPS has influence significantly to increasing the critical thinking skill and material mastery of the student. Keywords: audio-visual media, cooperative learning model of TPS,   critical thinking skill, material mastery.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of the matching strategy ndex cards on the activity and student learning outcomes at SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru Bandar lampung.The design was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups. Claster random sampling was used choosing class IV? andIV? as subjects. The results of an index card matching strategy is effective in improving student learning activities, asking question proposing,fact, collecting data, collaboration, and making conclusions. Obtained an average students learning activities have moderate criterion (71.94). Improvement of students learning outcomes (N-gain 67.42), the ability of students from each indicator with average of N-gain C2(68.9), C3(64.9) and C4(64.0). Questionnaire data showed that all students (100%) was pleased to learn the material with matching strategy index cards. It can be concluded that theuse of an index card matching strategy can improved learning outcomes and students learning activities natural resources subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pencocokan kartu indeks terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada siswa SD Negeri 2 Kampung Baru Bandar lampung. Desain penelitian adalah desain pretes-postes kelompok non equivalen. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik claster random sampling,kelas IV?dan IV?sebagai subjek. Hasil penelitian penggunaan strategi pencocokan kartu indeks efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, yaituaspek mengajukan pertanyaan, mengemukakan fakta, mengumpulkan data, bekerjasama, dan membuat kesimpulan. Diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa memiliki kriteria sedang(71,94).Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa (N-gain 67,42), kemampuan siswa dari tiap indikator denganrata-rata peningkatan N-gain C2(68,9), C3(64,9) dan C4(64,0).Data angket menunjukkan bahwa semua (100%) merasa senang mempelajari materi dengan strategi pencocokan kartu indeks. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan strategi pencocokan kartu indeks dapatmeningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi sumber daya alam.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, strategi pencocokan kartu indeks, sumber daya alam

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the differences in learning outcomes of students cognitive and affective aspects between Guided Discovery Model with Guided Inquiry Model. The design of this research was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest, N-gain that were analyzed by t test and U test. The qualitative data were affective aspect which obtained and analyzed descriptively using observation sheet. The result of this research showed that the average N-gain of experiment class II (71.21) with high criteria was better than the experiment class I (43.69) with medium criteria. Then, students result in affective aspect in experiment class II was 71.69 with good criteria, while the experiment class I was 68.75 with enough criteria. Thus, Guided Inquiry model is better than Guided Discovery Learning in improving student learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar aspek kognitif dan afektif siswa dalam menggunakan model Guided Discovery dengan Guided Inquiry. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data kuantitatif, diperoleh dari pretest, posttest, N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan Uji-t dan Uji U. Data kualitatif berupa hasil belajar aspek afektif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen II (71,21) dengan kriteria tinggi lebih baik dibandingkan kelas eksperimen I (43,69) dengan kriteria sedang. Rata-rata hasil belajar aspek afektif kelas eksperimen II (71,69) berkriteria baik, sedangkan kelas eksperimen I (68,75) berkriteria cukup. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Guided Inquiry lebih baik dibandingkan Guided Discovery Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: guided discovery learning, guided inquiry, hasil belajar
