Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the effect of active learning on the improvement of students activity and their achievement. The design was non equivalence pre-test post test design. The research sample were students of class VIIA and VIIC that was selected by using purposive sampling. The quantitative data were the average score test, that was analyzed by t-test. The qualitative data was gotten by students activity that was analyzed descriptively. The result of students activity in experimental class was 76,40 with good criteria. The result of N-gain in experimental class was higher with 52.80. In line with this, the use of active learning has an effect on the improvement of students activity.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh Active Learning terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIC yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar kelas eksperimen (76,40) dengan kriteria baik. Hasil rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (52,80). Dengan demikian, penggunaan Active Learning berpengaruh terhadap aktivtitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: active learning, aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, pengelolaan lingkungan

Abstract

The study aim was to identify the obstacle of the biology teachers on implementation of 2013 curriculum. The type of research used was qualitative research with descriptive method. The subject in this research were all the biology teachers which was implemented curriculum 2013. The researcher used tecnique purposive sampling in collected the subject.  Open-ended questionnaire and interview were used to collected the primary data, and for secondary data were collected from teachers education background. Data from ended questionnaire showed that the teachers obstacles were classified in the low criteria that was 75% and classified sufficient that was 40% from open interwied teachers responded. The result showed that the obstacles from the planning aspect was composed lesson plan, the implemantation aspect was matched the method and model with the core competence and assesment aspect was psychomotoric assesment in composed assesment instrument.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan pendidik biologi SMA Negeri se-Kotamadya Bandar Lampung dalam pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif  dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pendidik biologi di sekolah yang sudah menerapkan Kurikulum 2013. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data primer diperoleh dari angket tertutup dan angket semi terbuka serta wawancara tanggapan guru yang dianalisis dengan kriteria deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari data latar belakang pendidikan guru. Hasil angket tertutup menunjukkan hambatan yang dialami oleh pendidik tergolong dalam kriteria hambatan rendah dengan persentase di atas 75% sedangkan hasil angket semi terbuka tanggapan guru tergolong cukup menghambat dengan persentase di atas 40%. Hambatan yang utama pada aspek perencanaan adalah penyusunan RPP, hambatan utama pada aspek pelaksanaan adalah sulit menentukan metode dan model yang sesuai dengan Kompetensi Dasar dan hambatan utama pada aspek penilaian adalah penilaian psikomotorik dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian. Kata kunci: hambatan, pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013, pendidik biologi

Abstract

The aims of this research were to analyze the implementation of laboratory practice and its problems on living organism materials of junior high schools in Teluk Betung Utara. The samples were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection technique used questionnaire, interview, and observation, its analyzed using Miles and Huberman model. Research results showed that the laboratory practice on living organism materials was categorized as very good category, observation result of laboratory practice was good, and students laboratory practice worksheet was quite good. Problems appeared in the implementation of laboratory practice on living organism materials were limited number microscopes; laboratory practice activities was not conducive yet; lack of preparation before conducting the laboratory practice, and the students laboratory practice worksheet not directing the students yet in order to formulate a hypothesis. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of laboratory practice and its problems on living organism materials in Teluk Betung Utara was categorized as very good although there was some problems existed in the laboratory practice implementation.Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan praktikum materi organisasi kehidupan dan permasalahannya di SMP se-Kecamatan Teluk Betung Utara. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket, wawancara, dan observasi, yang dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian pelaksanaan praktikum berkriteria sangat baik, observasi tahapan pelaksanaan praktikum berkriteria baik, LKS-praktikum/LKPD-praktikum berkriteria cukup baik. Permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan praktikum yaitu keterbatasan jumlah mikroskop; kegiatan praktikum yang masih kurang kondusif; persiapan sebelum melaksanakan praktikum masih kurang, serta penyusunan LKS-praktikum/ LKPD-praktikum belum mengarahkan siswa untuk merumuskan hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum materi organisasi kehidupan se-Kecamatan Teluk Betung Utara berkriteria sangat baik walaupun terdapat permasalahan dalam pelaksanaan praktikum.Kata kunci: organisasi kehidupan, pelaksanaan praktikum, permasalahan praktikum

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the influence of discussion method using pictures toward students’ learning activities and subject mastery. The research design was a non equivalent pretest-posttest. Samples were students in the class X.B and X.C that were selected by random cluster sampling. This research data were in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain, which were statistically analyzed using t-test by SPSS 17. The qualitative data obtained from students’ learning activities observation sheets. The results shows that the students’ learning activities increased 16.41%. The material mastery also increase with the N-gain average was 46.66. It means that using discussion method impact the students’ activities and material mastery. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode diskusi melalui media gambar terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes non-equivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.B dan X.C yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif.  Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain, yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t melalui program SPSS 17. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar obsevasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menggunakan menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 16,41%. Penguasaan materi  mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 46,66. Abstract

Based on interviews with biology teacher in class X SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung, note that follow-up the teacher to students who scored below just by giving repeated without remedial teaching. This study aimed to determine the effect of the remedial learning toward student outcomes in Biodiversity matter. The design was one-group pretest-posttest. The sample were X3, X4, and X5 class based on the students who did not complete, that is at least, medium and most. This research data in the form of qualitative data was description of the diagnostic analysis and quantitative data obtained from the average value of daily tests and remedial replications. The results showed an increase in the average value of remedial students as replications higher than the average value of daily tests before remedial teaching for example on remedial class increased from 46 to 74 after remedial replications. So it can be conclude that the provision of remedial effect on improving student learning outcomes. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru biologi di kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Bandar Lampung, diketahui bahwa tindak lanjut yang diberikan hanya dengan memberikan remedial tanpa pengajaran remedial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian remedial terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok Keanekaragaman Hayati. Desain penelitian ini one group  pretest-postest. Sampel adalah kelas X3, X4, dan X5 berdasarkan jumlah siswa yang tidak tuntas. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif deskripsi analisis diagnostik kesulitan belajar siswa dan data kuantitatif dari rata-rata nilai ulangan harian dan ulangan remedial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa saat ulangan remedial pada ketiga kelas eksperimen, sebagai contoh pada remedial 1 dari nilai ulangan harian sebesar 46 menjadi 74 setelah ulangan remedial. Sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa pemberian remedial berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: hasil belajar siswa, keanekaragaman hayati, pembelajaran remedial.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to measure the influence of using Example Non Example learning type toward mastering of characteristics of living subject by students Class VII SMP NEGERI 3 Gadingrejo Academic Year 2011/2012, the average of mastering of characteristics of living subject in the classroom that using Example Non Example learning type higher than class discussion methods. Design used in this research was pretest-posttest design of non-equivalent groups. The sample was 31 students VIIA as control class and 31 students VIIF as experiment class. The research data were taken with the pretest and posttest. Data analysis was performed by t test. The results showed that the class that using Example Non Example learning type influenced significant in mastering of characteristics of living subject, consist of breathing, moving, sensitive to stimuli, eat, excrete the rest, grow and reproduce and adapt. Additionally average subject matter characteristics of living things on the students class that using Example Non Example learning type higher than students that using learning discussions. Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of e-learning to studentss activity and learning outcomes. Samples were X.1 and X.2 that was chosen by purposive sampling. This research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. This research data were quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test that were analyzed using t-test and U-test.The qualitative data are student learning activities data and quostionnaire responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the e-learning can improvedstudentss learning activityand learning outcomes, that were observed in experiment class wasincrease with the average score of all aspect was high criteria (80,63%). Studentss learning outcomes was proof with N-gain average 75,75. Beside that, most student (96,67%) gave positive response towardse-learning implementation. Thus, using e-learning was significant to improve studentss activity and learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan e-learning terhadapaktivitasdanhasil belajar siswa. Abstract

The purpose of research were knowing the effectiveness of the use multimedia animation through STAD cooperative learning model type to against increased of the learning activities and material mastery by students. The research was a experimental study with pretest-posttest nonequivalent groups design. The sample of research were student from XI IPA-1and XI IPA-3with chosen by purposive sampling technique.Data of this research were qualitative and quantitative.  The results of research showed that an increase of material mastery by students who use multimedia animation through STAD cooperative learning model type in the them learning with N-gain 80,30. It was be affected by an increase of student learning activities with an increasing percentage of 18,88%.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan animasi multimedia melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest non equivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA-1 dan XI IPA-3 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan penguasaan materi oleh siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan animasi multimedia melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan N-gain 80,30. Peningkatan penguasaan materi oleh siswa juga dipengaruhi oleh peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan persentase peningkatan 18,88%.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, animasi multimedia, penguasaan materi, sistem peredaran darah, STAD

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of socratic circles method with picture media to students activity and critical thingking skill at SMA N 1 Ngambur. Samples were X.1 and X.2 that was chosen by purposive sampling. This research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. The quantitative data were obtained from the average value of test that were analyzed using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were student learning activities and responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the socratic circles method were observed in experiment class was increase with the average score of all aspect was high criteria (72,8%). Critical thingking skill students was proof by N-gain average 59,4. Beside that, most of the student (98%) gave positive responses towards socratic circles method. Thus, using socratic circles method was significant to improve students activity and critical thingking skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode socratic circles disertai media gambar terhadap aktivitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada SMA N 1 Ngambur. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.1 dan X.2 yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas siswa dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode socratic circles pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan untuk semua aspek dengan rata-rata aktivitas berkriteria tinggi (72,8%). Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata N-gain 59,4. Sejalan dengan hal itu, sebagian besar siswa (98%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan metode socratic circles. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode socratic circles berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas, berpikir kritis, media gambar, metode socratic circles, pencemaran

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out the use of the video media towards students activity and students learning result. The research design was non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in VII F and VII H class that was selected by cluster random sampling. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. The result showed that the activity of the student was increased, it were students teamwork (78.33), observation result presentation/group (79.99), and asking question (66.66). The students learning outcomes was also improved, with N-gain average score was 56.14. It means, that the use of the video media was impact with the increase of students activity and students learning result of the material characteristics of living things.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media video terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII F dan VII H yang dipilih secara cluster random  sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, yaitu bekerjasama dengan teman (78,33), mempresentasikan hasil diskusi (79,99) dan mengajukan pertanyaan (66,66). Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 56,14. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media video berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, media video
