Abstract

Observation results show that mastery of the Virus subject matter on grade X Swadhipa’s student Senior High School in Natar is still low. This research aims to know the influence of the using picture cards media on students learning activities and mastering of the Virus subject matter for students. This research was quasi experimental design with unequivalent pretes postes group. The research samples are grade X1 and X2 which are selected from population by cluster random sampling. This research data is in quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data is obtained from the average of pretes and postes value which is analyzed statistically with t-test at 95% confidence levels using SPSS 17 program. Qualitative data is analyzed by descriptive analysis in percentage value. The research data is obtained from the student activity observation forms, and students' responses on using of flash cards media with NHT model. The research result shows that the average of mastering on subject by group students experiment is greater than control group (experiment = 79,1; control = 70,20). Moreover, the average of increasing the mastery of all observation indicators are greater than class control (experiment = 48,28; control = 43,22). The average of increasing percentage of student activity to all obeservation aspects in class experiment are greater than class control (experiment = 85,18; control = 76,30). In addition, the majority of students give positive response on using of flash cards media. Thus, learning process use flash card media with NHT learning model effects to improve the learning activity and mastery of the Virus subject matter on students.  Keywords: Flash Card, NHT, Learning Activity, Mastering Subject, Virus

Abstract

This research aimed to know the profile of students ability to make hypotheses through guided inquiry learning model in the subject matter of the characteristic of living things . The research design used was as descriptive with purposive sampling so that the VII G and VII H class the sampel of this research. This research data become was in the form of qualitative data which was is a description of students' ability to make hypotheses from observation sheet of students assessment, and student worksheet. The results showed that 0.00 % have good category , 0.29 % have medium category , 0.30 % have less category and 0.36% have bad category. It could be concluded that only students who have the ability to make categorized less or bad.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam membuat hipotesis melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing materi pokok ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan purposive sampling sehingga kelas VIIG dan VII H sebagai sampel. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif yaitu deskripsi kemampuan siswa dalam membuat hipotesis yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi penilaian siswa, dan Lembar Kerja Siswa. Hasil penelitian bahwa 0,00 % berkategori baik, 0,29% berkategori sedang, 0,30% berkategori kurang dan 0,36% berkategori buruk. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hanya siswa memiliki kemampuan membuat hipotesis berkategori kurang atau buruk.Kata kunci: ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, hipotesis, kemampuan siswa, model inkuiri terbimbing

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of  using realia media towards student’s science process skill (SPS) and student’s concept mastery. Samples were VIID and VIIF  chosen by purposive sampling. This research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. The quantitative data was obtained from the average  value of test that were analyzed using U-test. The qualitative data are student’s SPS data and quostionnaire responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the realia teaching material can improve student’s concept mastery was proof with N-gain average 65,13. The average of student’s SPS result in experiment class was good criteria. For observation (89,78%), classification (79,57%),  interpretation (75,27%), communication (76,88%), and conclusion (73,66%). Beside that, most student (96,8%) gave positive response towards realia teaching material. Thus, using realia teaching material can improve SPS and was  significant to improve student’s concept mastery.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media realia terhadap keterampilan proses sains (KPS) dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIID dan VIIF yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data KPS dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media realia dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain 65,13. Hasil KPS siswa pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata berkriteria baik. Pada aspek observasi (89,78%), klasifikasi (79,57%),  interpretasi (75,27%), komunikasi (76,88%), dan kesimpulan (73,66%).  Di samping itu, sebagian besar siswa (96,8%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan media realia. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan media realia berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep oleh siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, media realia, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the profile of students science process skill (SPS). The samples were all students of class XI Science program which were selected by totalsampling technique. The qualitative data such as the descriptive of the SPS were obtained from observation sheet during the learning process and students responses questionnaire were analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were obtained from the written test and students worksheets which contains all indicators of SPS analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the average of students SPS with good criteria which was 81.48. Classifying, communicating and predicting skills with good criteria which was 64,9, 67,3, and 66,8 also interpreting skill with medium criteria which was 45,2. Most of students gave positive responses to the implementation learning process. Thus, SPS profile of SMAN 5 Metros students in human motion system material with good criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan proses sains siswa (KPS). Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA yang dipilih secara total sampling. Data kualitatif yaitu deskripsi KPS siswa diperoleh melalui lembar observasi selama pembelajaran dan tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil yang diperoleh melalui LKS dan tes tertulis yang memuat semua indikator KPS, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata KPS siswa berkriteria baik yaitu 61,1. Keterampilan mengklasifikasikan, mengkomunikasikan dan memprediksi berkriteria baik, yaitu masing-masing sebesar 64,9, 67,3, dan 66,8 serta keterampilan menginterpretasi berkriteria sedang yaitu sebesar 45,2. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan pembelajaran. Dengan demikian diketahui bahwa profil KPS siswa SMAN 5 Metro pada materi sistem gerak manusia berkriteria baik.Kata kunci : keterampilan proses sains, interpretasi, klasifikasi, komunikasi, prediksi

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of application of the PQ4R model to the student activity and material understanding of characteristic of organism by student of SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung. This research is quasi experimental with pretest-postest group design non equivalent. The samples of the research are students of class VII, VII that choosen from the population by cluster random sampling technique. The data of the research is qualitative and quantitative. The quantitative data were obtained from the average value pretest dan post test analyzed statistically using t-test and the qualitative data from learning activities of student analyzed descriptively. The result of this research indicate that application of the model PQ4R significant gave effect to the increase of activity, in which the activity of the experiment class was higher 7,25%. The learning model PQ4R gave significant effect to the increasing material understanding in which the N-gain in the experimental class 52,06%, while the control class N-gain 47,83%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model PQ4R terhadap aktivitas siswa dan penguasaan materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup oleh siswa SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimental dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIE dan VIIF yang dipilih dari populasi secara teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model PQ4R berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dimana aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi 7,25% dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Model pembelajaran PQ4R berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi dimana N-gain pada kelas eksperimen 52,06%, sedangkan kelas kontrol N-gain 47,83%.Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, penguasaan materi, PQ4R

Abstract

The research objective were to determine the effect of teaching materials brochures through cooperative learning model student teams achievemen division (STAD) on the activity and mastery of the material. Research design using a pretest-posttest non equivalent. The sample was grade class X2 and X3 are taken by random cluster sampling technique. The research data in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data. The results showed that the use of teaching materials brochures through STAD cooperative learning model increases student mastery of the material, is seen in the experimental class average N-value gain of 58.88. Aspects of the control of matter has the highest average value, namely the application aspects (C3) is 0.88. The average percentage of students' learning activities ie 80.77% have a high criteria. Most of the students gave a positive response to the use of teaching materials brochures.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar brosur melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student teams achievemen division (STAD) terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi. Desain penelitian menggunakanpretest-posttest non equivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah  kelas X2 dan  kelas X3 yang diambil dengan teknik clusterrandom sampling. Data penelitianberupa data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar brosur melalui model pembelajaran koperatif tipe STAD meningkatkan penguasaan materi siswa, ini terlihat pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 58,88. Aspek penguasaan materi memiliki nilai rata-rata tertinggi yaitu pada aspek aplikasi  (C3) yaitu 0,88. Rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa yaitu 80,77 % memiliki criteria tinggi.Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar brosur.Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, brosur, fungi, STAD, penguasaan materi.

Abstract

This experiment aimed to know the effect of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with snakes and ladders media based on students biology learning result for the subject matter of organization of life. The design of this research was pretest-posttest non equivalent. This research was done at VII SMP Negeri 1 Way Krui, students of VII.A and VII.B were samples which were taken by purposive sampling technique. This research used qualitative and quantitative data. The quantitative data was obtained from the average value of pretest, posttest, and N-gain were analyzed by t-test and u-test. The qualitative data was the observation sheet of learning activities and responses that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that TGT model with snakes and ladders can improve students biology learning result. It was shown by the experimental class average value of learning result 66,14 was higher then control class learning result 59,77.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan media ular tangga terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa dalam materi pokok organisasi kehidupan. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Way Krui, siswa kelas VII.A dan VII.B sebagai sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain yang dianalisis dengan uji-t dan uji-u. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa dan tanggapan yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model TGT dengan media ular tangga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of media using Group Investigation (GI) model learning of Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS). This study design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Samples were VIIC and VIID, chosen by Purposive  Sampling. Quantitative data of which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test.  The qualitative data which obtained from the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptively.  The results showed  that the use of  GI learning model was able to improve KPS of student, it shown that the experimental class higher value of  N-gain 66,38 and significantly different from the control class N-gain 51,43.  Learning activities of the students also improve with average 72,30 of the experimental class and 50,23 of the control class.  Most students  gave positive respond to GI  learning model. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran GI terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS). Desain penelitian pretest-posttest kelompok non-equivalent. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID, dipilih secara Purposive  Sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran GI dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa, terlihat pada nilai N-gain 66,38 kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dan berbeda nyata dibandingkan kelas control N-gain 51,43.  Aktivitas belajar siswa juga meningkat dengan rata-rata 72,30 kelas eksperimen dan 50,23 pada kelas kontrol. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran GI. Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, keterampilan proses sains, model pembelajaran GI

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of slide power point media learning on students learning outcomes. The design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Cluster random sampling was used choosing class X1 and X2 as subjects. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest and posttest values that analyzed by gain comparison, while the qualitative data was obtained from student learning activity that were analyzed descriptively. The results show that the using of slide power point was effective to increase students learning outcomes (gain 0,61), average of students ability from each indicator that was observed had increased with high criteria. Whereas average of student learning activity in all aspects had medium criteria (74,71). Thus, it can be concluded that slide power point media can increased students learning outcomes and student learning activities on vertebrata subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media slide power point pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah desain pretes-postes kelompok non equivalen. Teknik claster random sampling digunakan dalam memilih kelas X1 dan X2 sebagai subjek. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis dengan perbandingan gain, sedangkan data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media slide power point efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa (gain 0,61), kemampuan siswa dari tiap indikator hasil belajar yang diamati memilki rata-rata peningkatan dengan kriteria tinggi (75,5). Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa di setiap aspek memiliki kriteria sedang (74,71). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media slide power point dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada sub materi vertebrata.Kata kunci : efektivitas pembelajaran, hasil belajar, mediaslide power point, vertebrata

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and problems of practicum in junior high school in Kemiling Regency. The design used exploratory research design. The samples selection used purposive sampling technique. The research conducted implementation and problems associated laboratory that were work obtained from survey, interview, and observation and taken to technique triangulation instruments, then analyzed descriptively using Milles and Huberman model. The researchs result showed that the implementation of life organization subject practicum has good criteria, worksheet practicum which has good enough criteria, and practicum phases which have good criteria. Problems that occur in the implementation of practicum are theres no ideal laboratory space, limited equipment laboratory as the microscope, razor, and pipette drops, limited material like specimens preserved, theres no laboratory, lack of readiness of student learning and also readiness of teachers in terms of the availability of the design of learning tools.Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan dan permasalahan praktikum di SMP se-Kecamatan Kemiling. Desain yang digunakan adalah desain riset eksploratori. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data pelaksanaan dan permasalahan praktikum yang diperoleh dengan angket, wawancara, dan observasi serta diambil dengan teknik triangulasi instrumen, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan model Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum materi organisasi kehidupan berkriteria baik, penyusunan LKS-praktikum berkriteria cukup baik, dan tahapan pelaksanaan praktikum berkriteria baik. Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaan praktikum yaitu tidak adanya ruang laboratorium ideal, keterbatasan alat seperti mikroskop, silet, dan pipet tetes, keterbatasan bahan seperti preparat awetan, tidak adanya laboran, kurangnya kesiapan belajar siswa dan juga kesiapan guru dalam hal tersedianya rancangan perangkat pembelajaran.Kata kunci: guru IPA, LKS-praktikum, organisasi kehidupan, pelaksanaan praktikum, permasalahan praktikum
