Abstract

This study were aimed to know the misconception on classification of living things, ecosystem, human population density, and the human role in environmental management on second semester of VII grade and to know was the most misconception content. This study design using simple descriptive research. The sample in this research were student of VIII A, VIII B, VIII C that were selected by simple random sampling technique. The quantitative data were obtained from the multiple choice questions and essays that were analyzed by Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method. The results showed that students with misconceptions was 20.67% with low criteria, students who do not know the concept was 37.11% with low criteria while students who know the concept was 43.46% with medium criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui miskonsepsi pada materi ciri dan klasifikasi makhluk hidup, ekosistem, kepadatan populasi manusia dan peran manusia dalam pengelolaan lingkungan pada semester genap kelas VII dan materi yang paling banyak terjadi miskonsepsi pada siswa kelas VII. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif sederhana. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A, VIII B, VIII C yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari tes soal pilihan jamak dan esay yang di analisis dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi materi IPA semester genap pada siswa kelas VII SMP yaitu 20,67% dengan kriteria rendah, siswa yang tidak tahu konsep 37,11% dengan kriteria rendah sedangkan siswa yang tahu konsep 43,46% kriteria sedang.Kata kunci : deskriptif sederhana, miskonsepsi, simple random sampling

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of learning outcomes and student activity by using word square worksheets through a video on the subject of the ecosystem. Samples were students in the class X1 and X2 SMAN 1 Talangpadang which were selected by purposive sampling and the design of research is pretest posttest non-equivalent groups. The type of data in this research is quantitative data in the form of learning outcome data were analyzed using t-test and u-test, qualitative data in the form of learning activity data and response data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed student learning outcomes improved significantly with an average score of N-a gain of 50.25% was obtained from indicators of cognitive domains, namely C2 and C3 supported by student activity data with an average percentage of 79.81% in good criteria and positive responses from students. So it can be concluded that the use of the word square worksheets can affect learning outcomes and student activities significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan LKS word square melalui video pada materi ekosistem. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2SMAN 1 Talangpadang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dan desain penelitian pretes postes kelompok non-ekuivalen. Jenis data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif berupa data hasil belajar yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-u, data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar dan data tanggapan yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian hasil belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 50,25% didapatkan dari indikator ranah kognitif yaitu C2 dan C3 didukung data aktivitas siswa dengan presentase rata-rata 79,81% yang berkriteria baik dan tanggapan positif siswa. Maka dapat disimpulkan penggunaan LKS word square dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa secara signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, LKS word square melalui video

Abstract

The objective of the research was to know the relationship between class management and learning interest toward the students.  This study design was quantitative description with correlation approach. The samples were the students’ Biology learning result at all SMA at Gadingrejo subdistrict of grade X and XI, chosen by purposive sampling technique. The class management and learning interest data were taken from the questionnaire dan interview, while the learning product data was taken from the block test twice time. The data analysis used simple correlation (Bivariate Pearson) and double correlation. The research result showed that there was a correlation between class management with learning product with the correlation grade 0.639 that was categorized as strong, there was a correlation between learning interest with learning product with the correlation grade 0.724 that was categorized as strong, there was a correlation between class management and learning interest with the learning product with the correlation grade 0.78 that was categorized as strong.  Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara manajemen kelas dan minat belajar dengan hasil belajar biologi siswa. Desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel penelitian siswa SMA se-Kecamatan Gadingrejo kelas X dan XI dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data manajemen kelas dan minat belajar diambil dari angket, dan wawancara, sedangkan data hasil belajar diambil dari tes yang diberikan selama dua kali uji blok. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi sederhana (bivariate pearson) dan korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara manajemen kelas dengan hasil belajar dengan angka korelasi 0.639 yang berkategori kuat, ada hubungan antara minat belajar dengan hasil belajar dengan angka korelasi 0.724 yang berkategori kuat, ada hubungan antara manajemen kelas dan minat belajar dengan hasil belajar dengan korelasi 0.78 yang berkategori kuat.Kata kunci :  hasil belajar, manajemen kelas, minat belajar

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the student’s mastery of concepts in learning through Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model and Gallery Walk (GW) in the subject matter excretion system. The research design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent groups. Samples were students of class XI IPA1 and XI IPA2 randomly selected by cluster  random sampling technique. The quantitative data was N-gain obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest were statistically analyzed using t-test. The qualitative data was obtained from student learning activity. The result of this research proves the activities in express their argument, asking, team work, get improves by N-gain score in TSTS class at 44.51 where as in GW class 36.51. Because of that using a model TSTS gave significant influance in increasing mastery of concept and student learning activity. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep dalam pembelajaran melalui model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) dan Gallery Walk (GW) pada materi pokok sistem ekskresi. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 yang dipilih secara acak dengan tekhnik cluster random sampling. Data kuantitatif  berupa N-gain  diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t. Data kualitatif  berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktivitas mengemukakan pendapat, bertanya, bekerjasama, mengalami peningkatan dengan skor N-gain pada kelas TSTS 44,51 sedangkan  pada kelas GW  sebesar 36,51. Dengan demikian penggunaan model TSTS berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan aktivitas belajar siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, gallery walk, penguasaan konsep, sistem eksresi, two stay two stray

Abstract

This research was aimed to know teachers ability in designing lesson plan of biology subject in Senior High school all over Lampung Tengah Regency. Research design used descriptive research. Sample of this research were ten biology teachers were chosen by using random sampling. Data of research were both quantative and qualitative. Result of the research showed that almost teachers have high criteria with variation 97,22%, 91,66%, 86,11%, 94,44%, and 83,33%. There were three teachers have medium criteria with variation 69,44%, 66,66%, and 58,33%. There were two teachers have low criteria with 47,22% and 27,77%.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kemampuan guru dalam membuat Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) Pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi SMA Negeri Se-Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Desain penelitian, yaitu penelitian deskriptif. Sampel penelitian, yaitu 10 guru mata pelajaran biologi yang dipilih secara random sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif dan datakualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru biologi kelas X SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Lampung Tengah berkriteria tinggi dengan variasi 97,22%, 91,66%, 86,11%, 94,44%, dan 83,33% . Terdapat tiga guru berkriteria sedang dengan variasi 69,44%, 66,66%, dan 58,33%.%. Terdapat dua guru berkriteria rendah dengan variasi 47,22% dan 27,77%.Kata kunci : biologi, kemampuan guru, RPP

Abstract

This research has purpose to know the influences of discovery learning method towards learning activities and conceptual understanding. Samples were VIIC and VIID that was chosen by purposive sampling. This research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. The quantitative data was obtained from the average  value of test that were analyzed using t-test and U-test.The qualitative data are student learning activities and quostionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the discovery learning improved students conceptual understanding that proof by N-gain average 59,74. Students learning activity from experiment class was increased with the average score in high criteria (85,71%). Besides that, most of the students gave positive response towards audio discovery learning. Thus, discovery learning can improved students  learning activities and conceptual understanding.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode discovery learning terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan konsep oleh siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIc  dan VIID yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U dan uji t. Data kualitatif  berupa data aktivitas siswa yang dianalisis secara dekriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode discovery learning dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 59,74. Aktivitas belajar juga mengalami peningkatan untuk semua aspek yang diamati pada kelas eksperimen dengan kriteria tinggi (85,71%). Sejalan dengan hal itu, sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan dengan metode discovery learning. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan dengan metode discovery learning dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan konsep siswa.  Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, discovery learning, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

Based on interviews and observation at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 1 Merbau Mataram Lampung Selatan showed that the student’s science prosess skill was low. This study aimed to determine the effect of guide inquiry model in increase student’s science process skill. The design pretest-posttest was non-equivalent. The sample were class VIII B and VIII C whice selected by cluster random sampling. Research data obtained from the pretest, posttest, and observation of student activity sheets. Analysis using the t test and U test using SPSS 16 and using student activity classification. Results of this study indicate that students' science process skills in the experimental class had no significant difference compared to the control class (experimental = 68.46; control= 66.06). Thus the use of guided inquiry model of the material structure and function of tissues in plants affect the students skill acquisition process.Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi kalas VIII SMPN 1 Merbau Mataram Lampung Selatan diketahui proses pengembangan ketrampilan proses sains masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Desain penelitian ini pretest-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B dan VIII C yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian yang diperoleh dari pretes, postes, dan lemba robservasi aktivitas siswa. Analisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U dengan menggunakan program SPSS 16 serta mengunakan klasifikasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa pada kelas eksperimen memiliki perbedaan yang tidak signifikan dibanding kelas kontrol (eksperimen= 68,46; kontrol= 66,06). Dengan demikian penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing pada materi struktur dan fungsi jaringan pada tumbuhan berpengaruh dalam penguasaan keterampilan proses siswaKata kunci : keterampilan proses sains, model inkuiri, struktur dan fungsi tubuh tumbuhan

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the influence of mock media towards students learning activities and conceptual understanding. Samples were X1 as experiment class and X2 as control class that selected by purposive sampling. The design of this research was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Quantitative data was obtained from the average of test scores that analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data were students learning activities and questionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that students learning activities at experiment class was higher than control class. The aspect of asking question (63%), giving ideas/opinions (93%), communication in group (82,80%), responding question (77%). Students conceptual understanding improved with average value of pretest (39,87%), posttest (84,85) and N-gain (0,75). In addition, most of the students gave positive responds to the using of mock media. Thus, mock media influence to student activities improvement and significant to student conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media maket terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak- ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Pada aspek mengajukan pertanyaan (63%), mengungkapkan ide/pendapat (93%), berkomunikasi dalam kelompok (82,80%), menjawab pertanyaan (81,83%). Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata nilai pretes (39,87), postes (84,85) dan N-gain (0,75). Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan media maket. Dengan demikian media maket berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan siginifikan terhadap penguasaan materi oleh siswa.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, media maket, penguasaan materi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of science teachers of class VII on implementing K13-revision. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Types of research used was descriptive research, data were obtained from questionnaire and interview, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the implementation of K13-revision in the academic year 2016/2017 in Bandar Lampung Municipality of five aspects, aspects that indicated the obstacles were(1) learning text (2) process and implementation of learning that has a percentage of 30%. Both of these aspects had the category of "quite inhibiting". There are three aspects that according to science teachers do not had obstacles, that were (1) lesson planning; (2) the process and implementation of the assessment; and (3) information.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hambatan guru IPA kelas VII dalam mengimplementasikan K13-revisi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah desain penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari angket dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan K13-revisi di tahun ajaran 2016/2017 di Kotamadya Bandar Lampung dari lima aspek, aspek yang menunjukkan hambatan yaitu pada aspek teks pembelajaran juga aspek proses dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang memiliki persentase sebesar 30%. Kedua aspek tersebut masuk dalam kategori cukup menghambat. Tiga aspek yang menurut guru IPA tidak mengalami hambatan, yaitu : aspek (1) perencanaan pembelajaran; (2) proses dan pelaksanaan penilaian; dan (3) informasi.Kata Kunci : guru IPA, hambatan, implementasi, K13-revisi

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine effectivity of using TGT model to increase activity and mastery of the human circulatory system. The design used was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. The samples were students of XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 taken by cluster random sampling. Qualitative data taken from student activity and responses using TGT. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest and N-gain. The results showed all aspects of student learning activities increase (49.96%). Mastery of the material also increased in pretest (30%), posttest (71%) and N -Gain (59%). Students also give positive responses. Based on the results obtained from this study that: (1) The use of cooperative learning model type TGT effective in increasing student activity and mastery of the material in the human circulatory system, class XI Science High School N 13 Bandar Lampung, (2) The use of cooperative learning model types TGT able to increase the students activities in the subject matter of the human circulatory system, (3) Most of the students gave a positive response of using cooperative learning model type TGT on the subject matter in the human circulatory system.
