Abstract

The utilization of information technology in learning has functioned as a tool in the teaching and learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. The need for the availability of a learning platform using LMS (Learning Management System) or free e-learning that is easily obtained from the public network (internet) makes the utilization of the learning platform indispensable for the teaching and learning process. Learning platforms available on the internet can also be used independently by students. However, not all existing learning platforms can be used as the appropriate means to improve the quality of education. The educator policies are needed to utilize the existing learning platforms so that learning objectives can be achieved. This study will analyze how to choose the right learning platform for an educational institution using SAW (Simple Additive Weighting)-based Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) method. FMADM is a method used to find the optimal alternative from a number of alternatives with certain criteria. The purpose of this study is to assist educators in deciding the most appropriate learning platform that can be used to support the teaching and learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Abstract

In recent years, the progress of the culinary business in the city of Semarang has increased. This is marked by the emergence of a lot of business creativity that follows consumer tastes. This creativity can be seen from the variety of culinary product variants sold by culinary entrepreneurs. From the research that has been done, there is still no research that filters and gives grade on food or drink in order to provide prices that are in accordance with the quality of food or drinks. Therefore to address the needs of culinary entrepreneurs, it takes an application of Culinary E-Business that can be a bridge for culinary entrepreneurs in the city of Semarang to receive orders online. It is expected that this application can determine food quality standards that will be marketed through this e-business application by providing grade A, B, and C. labels To determine food grade, this study uses the K-Nearest Neighbor method. By determining the price standards for similar foods, so there is no price competition for similar foods that can lead to the death of food entrepreneurs with small capital. So that it can move the people's economy by providing the means to expand the regional food marketing network, so that food entrepreneurs have a greater chance to develop.

Abstract

Web-based degree document certification system with a digital signature in Semarang University has a purpose to support academic to do online document certification through a system. The main problem which occurs in academic administration is a long document certification process that causes an ineffective and inefficient certification process. To solve the problem, a system that can encrypt a document for better security is required. This system is built with the advanced encryption standard algorithm with a 128-bit sized key to encrypt confidential information inside the document. During the encryption process, this algorithm operates using 4x4 bit array blocks and passing many encryption processes for at least 10 (ten) times. The application is analyzed with object-oriented analysis and modeled with Unified modeling language. The result of this research is a system which can secure document with AES algorithm with a 256-bit sized key. The security element in this algorithm will make easier to identify the owner of the document. The secured document is easily accessible through PHP-based web or available QR code. When decrypting the document, the application will activate the camera function and decrypt the information document.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 (Coronavirus) cenderung menjadi salah satu masalah paling serius global dalam satu tahun terakhir ini. Negara tidak memiliki pengalaman serupa terkait penyebaran virus dan dampaknya dari berbagai bidang. Memperkirakan jumlah kasus COVID-19 sebelumnya dapat membantu dalam mengambil keputusan berupa tindakan dan rencana pencegahan virus tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan model peramalan yang memprediksi kasus COVID-19 yang dikonfirmasi di kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menerapkan algoritma pembelajaran mesin yakni Artificial Neural Network (ANN) untuk memprediksi kasus COVID-19 di kota Semarang. Proses fine-tuning masing-masing model dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini dan perbandingan numerik antara ketiga model disimpulkan menggunakan ukuran evaluasi yang berbeda; mean sequence error (MSE).

Abstract

Presently, the rapid advancement of technology is ongoing, and digital platforms have become an omnipresent resource for professionals in business, forming an integral part of a holistic marketing strategy. Social media is now used to introduce a product or service from a company, organization, or government. Along with the development of technology and information, nowadays many online shops have sprung up in various groups, from teenagers to adults. One of local company that uses Instagram social media to spread information about their company's products is Erigo. This study aims to analyze and examine the factors influencing of brand image, information quality and celebrity endorser on purchasing decisions of Erigo Brand product in Instagram. The study utilized quantitative methods along with regression analysis techniques for its research methodology.. The sampling method used purposive sampling and the number of samples used in this study amounted to 80 respondents source was distribution online questionnaires via WhatsApp to customers who had purchased Erigo brand products through Instagram. The data were analyzed with SPSS’ 26 and was carried out by several tests such as test : validity, realibility, classic assumption, linear regression analysis and coefficient of determination. The results that the brand image, information quality and celebrity endorser have a significant and positive effect partially or simultaneously on purchasing decisions of Erigo brand product. Meanwhile, brand trust can provide the most dominant influence on purchasing decisions of Erigo brand products.

Abstract

This dedication was motivated by a request from one of the GERAI KOPIMI FORUM (Gerakan Terintegrasi Masyarakat Koperasi Dan Usaha Mikro) located in Lamper Lor, South Semarang, so that Lamper Lor, UMKM South Semarang could reach a wider market.  With the COVID-19 pandemic, product marketing must be transformed using internet media, due to the limited space for product marketing. USM community service team through the Community Service program will provide assistance to the UMKM Forum Gerai Kopimi Semarang Selatan using social media to promote their products more broadly. Armed with information technology knowledge, especially in the field of marketing using social media and product shooting techniques owned by the service team, it is hoped that they will be able to expand the reach of marketing their products. This activity will be carried out in several stages, First, conducting field surveys related to partner problems, Second, designing the most appropriate methods for utilizing social media for product marketing and designing the most suitable packaging designs for products so that they can increase the value of partner products. Third, conduct training for partners to optimize social media in marketing products. Fourth, evaluate the results of the training. The positive response was given by almost all participants who wanted to use the Instagram platform as a medium for promoting products of UMKM and felt satisfied with the training provided, so they wanted more training.

Abstract

Microsoft Office is a basic capability that everyone must have. This is evidenced by the use of Microsoft Office in the world of education, offices, and everyday life. In the world of education Microsoft office has been introduced starting from elementary level education. The teacher gives school assignments also using Microsoft Office, for example the teacher gives assignments to students to make articles. In completing this school assignment, students will usually ask for help from an internet cafe operator or brother to help do it. Students of Muktiharjo Kidul 01 Elementary School Semarang have not all been able to master the Microsoft Office application.The purpose of this service is to use Microsoft Office to do school assignments related to making articles and others. The output of this service is that participants are able to make their own school assignments using Microsoft Office.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Pengenalan dan pengkabelan kabel serat optic ( FO) sebagai media transmisi komunikasi data bagi mahasiswa SMK N 8 Semarang melibatkan mitra Sekolah wilayah kota semarang. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan mitra ternyata untuk pengetahuan tentang kabel serat optic masih sangat kurang apalagi dalam praktikumnya dan dengan keterampilan tentang jaringan fiber optik yang saat ini masih terkesan sebagai hadware jaringan yang sulit di jumpai, maka dengan alasan tersebut diperlukan pengetahuan tentang kabel serat optik sejak masih sekolah menengah khususnya sekolah menengah kejuruan.Dalam kegiatan ini, mitra akan diberikan pelatihan tentang kabel serat optik,berbagai teori tentang kabel serat optik serta pemanfaatan kabel serat optik dari cara pengupasan ,penyambungan (Splicing), peralatan peralatan yang dibutuhkan dalam penyambungan serta peralatan pendukung lainya ,karena kabel serat optic sangat berbeda dengan kabel UPT pada umumnyaTujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan para murid murid jurusan Teknologi Komputer Jaringan di SMK N 8 Semarang dalam memanfaatkan kabel serat optik sebagai media tranmisi komunikasi data  Kata kunci: Pengabdian SMKN 8 ,Teknologi jaringan,kabel serat optic

Abstract

Usaha Mikro kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan pemain utama dalam kegiatan perekonomian di Indonesia dan juga sebagai penggerak perekonomian. Pembangunan masa depan terletak pada kemampuan UMKM untuk berkembang secara mandiri. Pemberdayaan UMKM menjadi sangat penting dan strategis dalam mengantisipasi perekonomian terutama dalam memperkuat struktur perekonomian nasional. Desain merupakan salah satu kebutuhan wajib pada saat promosi. Desain grafis sendiri merupakan karya seni untuk berkomunikasi. Karya tersebut dibuat dengan tujuan untuk menyampaikan informasi atau pesan dalam bentuk visual. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara dengan Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM Provinsi Jawa Tengah. tersampaikan masih kurangnya pemahaman desain untuk promosi produk, selama ini promosi produk di media sosial hanya melalui foto produk. Hal tersebut terjadi karena keterbatasan pengetahuan dan penguasaan aplikasi untuk membuat desain promosi produk masih sangat minim. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode pendampingan yang komprehensif kepada mitra melalui sosialisasi aplikasi Corel Draw, sehingga membantu mitra dalam praktek pembuatan desain promosi produk yang baik dan menarik. Output akhir yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan mitra kerja dalam menggunakan komputer sebagai sarana pengembangan kreativitas di bidang desain grafis. Secara ilmiah, hasil akhir dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah publikasi hasil pengabdian ini di jurnal layanan dan publikasi media massa.
