Abstract

The low level of pedagogical skills among teachers in designing technology-based learning presents a significant challenge at Attarkiyah Islamiah Institute, Southern Thailand. Teachers face difficulties in creating digital teaching materials, utilizing interactive media, and fostering collaboration for instructional innovation. This community service project aimed to enhance teachers’ pedagogical competence through contextual, collaborative, and practical technology-based training. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a participatory training approach, hands-on practice (microteaching), group work, and pre- and post-intervention evaluations. Twenty teachers from various disciplines participated in the program. The results indicated a significant improvement in three key areas: (1) the ability to design digital learning, (2) the skill to use interactive digital media, and (3) collaboration in developing innovative learning products. The training fostered a shift in teachers’ work culture—from individualistic to collaborative, and from passive to active and innovative. Moreover, the program reinforced the relevance of the TPACK framework, the learning-by-doing approach, and the Professional Learning Community (PLC) model in the context of Islamic education within a minority community. This initiative demonstrates that collaborative, practice-based training tailored to local values is effective in developing teacher competencies and promoting meaningful transformation in teaching practices.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan manajemen strategis yang efektif menjadi faktor kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Namun, banyak pengelola lembaga pendidikan Islam masih menghadapi kendala dalam perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi strategi yang tepat guna meningkatkan daya saing institusi. Pelatihan Manajemen Strategis bagi Pengelola Lembaga Pendidikan Islam di MTs Pekanbaru bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam manajemen strategis. Fokus utama pelatihan mencakup pemahaman konsep dasar, penyusunan visi dan misi, perencanaan strategis yang efektif, serta implementasi dan evaluasi kebijakan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan Service Learning (SL), yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif peserta dalam pembelajaran dan penerapan strategi secara langsung. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta. Nilai rata-rata post-test meningkat menjadi 78,4, naik 39,5% dari pre-test. Keterampilan praktis juga meningkat 44,2%, menunjukkan efektivitas metode berbasis praktik. Selain itu, survei kepuasan menunjukkan 90,5% peserta merasa puas dengan pelatihan ini, terutama dalam relevansi materi, interaktivitas, dan pendampingan. Pelatihan ini berkontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pengelola lembaga pendidikan Islam dan dapat direplikasi untuk program serupa.

Abstract

This research examines the function of library management systems in facilitating digital literacy programs at MTs/MA Al-Kifayah Riau. The study seeks to elucidate the role of planning, implementation, and evaluation processes in the efficacy of digital literacy programs. A qualitative descriptive methodology was utilized, with data gathered via interviews, observations, and documentation involving librarians, educators, students, and school administrators. The results indicate that the library successfully incorporates digital technology into its services, consistent with the school's vision and mission. The planning phase emphasizes the development of programs aligned with the school's work plan (RKM), the enhancement of human resources via training, and the improvement of facilities to facilitate digital services. The implementation employs three methodologies: classroom-based literacy incorporating digital tools into education; school culture-based literacy utilizing digital collections and social media advocacy; and community-based literacy through partnerships with external stakeholders. Evaluation encompasses performance assessments, program outcome analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Significant accomplishments encompass 80% digitalization, a substantial digital book repository comprising 2,762 titles, contemporary amenities such as electronic catalogs and multimedia corners, and pioneering Android-based services.

Abstract

The effectiveness of lecturers in executing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education teaching, research, and community services a crucial metric for assessing a university's quality, reputation, and competitiveness.  Nonetheless, discrepancies in instructor performance across universities, especially Universitas Riau, persist as a considerable concern.  This study seeks to determine the extent to which lecturers at Universitas Riau have successfully fulfilled their roles in education, research, and community service.  The aim of this research is to delineate and evaluate lecturers' accomplishments according to the criteria of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This study utilizes a descriptive quantitative methodology involving 147 permanent lecturers selected through accidental sampling approaches.  Data were gathered by documentation and examined employing descriptive statistics, encompassing minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation values.  The findings indicate that the predominant proportion of lecturers (71.43%) are classified within the "moderate" performance category, and the remainder are allocated among the "high," "low," "very high," and "very low" categories.  The educational component exhibited the highest performance, whereas research and community service demonstrated considerable variability.

Abstract

To support the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) play a crucial role in shaping a generation with a moderate worldview. This study aims to examine the strategic role of PTKI in instilling the values of tolerance, balance, and justice in students. Additionally, religious moderation education is essential in addressing the challenges of religious extremism, intolerance, and cultural plurality. This research employs a literature study approach, focusing on PTKI's role in integrating religious moderation into the education curriculum, institutional collaboration, and character and multicultural education development. The findings indicate that PTKI serves as a key agent of change in transforming the education system. Religious moderation education helps counter religious extremism and fosters social stability amidst Indonesia’s religious and cultural diversity. The religious moderation education programs implemented by PTKI have successfully instilled the values of tolerance, diversity, and solidarity, contributing to the realization of Indonesia Emas 2045.
