Abstract

Online learning has a negative impact on students, especially students who cannot use online learning support facilities. This has an impact on the decline in the quality of student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing digital literacy on students' science learning outcomes in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is research in the field of education using a quantitative approach and correlation method. The population in this study amounted to 348 people. Determination of the sample in this study using the random sampling technique. The data collection methods used are questionnaires and science learning outcomes tests. The instrument used has gone through the stages of testing the validity and reliability of the instrument. The data analysis used in this research is simple linear regression analysis, which previously carried out several analysis prerequisite tests in the form of normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed that the calculation of the correlation coefficient of 4.412 is greater than 2.034 with a significance value of 0.000 less than an alpha value of 0.05, a coefficient of determination of 0.371 x 100% of 37.1%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect on the application of digital literacy on students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The fading of character values among students today makes things developed by future generations to come in the school environment such as a lack of care for the surrounding environment, littering, paying attention to school walls and student morale. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Adiwiyata school policy and the success of character education in Telecommunications Junior High School. The research method uses qualitative with descriptive research type. The research was conducted at the Pekanbaru Telecommunications Junior High School with the research subjects being principals, teachers, students, and janitors. Data were collected through interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results showed that the Adiwiyata policy as the implementation of character education at the Telecommunications Junior High School in Pekanbaru was running well according to the goals set because it was carried out through the stages of character education development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakang oleh banyaknya  permasalahan  yang  dialami  guru TK dan PIAUD Ketika mengajarkan tahfidz Al-quan pada anak usia dini.  Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode   penelitian   ini   menggunakan   teknik   wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru, kepala sekolah, dan 12 anak kelas B TK cemara Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk megetahui metode guru dalam mengajar dan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapinya selama proses pembelajaran tahfidz si TK Cemara Pekanbaru. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah metode guru dalam pembelajaran tahfiz yaitu 1) pembukaan yaitu kegiatan berdoa, sambung ayat, dan murojaah ayat-ayat yang sudah dipelajari. 2)Pembelajaran Inti, guru membacakan ayat 3 kali lalu anak-anak mengikuti sebanyak 5 kali, hingga benar-benar hapal. 3) penutup; Anak-anak membaca kembali ayat yang sudah di berikan guru secara satu-persatu, guru menulis buku target hapalan, bercerita kisah-kisah di Al-Quran, dan anak-anak Kembali ke kelas. Kesulitan guru dalam mengajar tahfidz adalah anak-anak bosan,  kurangnya partisipasi orang tua, kurangnya motivasi anak.

Abstract

The study's goal is to determine whether using words with pictures and consonants increases students' language success in the second grade at SDIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru. The pre-experimental technique was used in the study. The population of this research was the second grade students of SDIT Future Islamic School Pekanbaru in 2022/2023 academic year, There were two classes, II A and II B, each with 25 and 26 students, respectively. The total population was 51 students. The researcher used purposive sampling technique. The total sample of this research was 25 students. The result of the data analysis showed that the students’ vocabulary achievement, in the pre-test was X1 = 45.6and the post-test was X2 = 85.06. The result of the t-test value was (14.00) greater than the t-table value was (2.075). This indicates that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. In other word, after the treatment, it can be concluded that the mean score of the students’ pre-test is smaller than the mean score of the students’ post-test (56.67 < 85.77). It means that the use of CVC word with pictre can increase the students’ vocabulary mastery in English.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan pendidikan di Indonesia adalah melaksanakan program pemerataan pendidikan melalui beberapa kebijakan, salah satunya adalah kebijakan PPDB (Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru) melalui sistem zonasi.Penelitian ini bertujan memahami implementasi penerapan sistem zonasi dalam Program Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) di SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem zonasi di SMAN 2 Pekanbaru telah berhasil mengurangi ketimpangan akses pendidikan antara sekolah favorit dan non-favorit, tetapi juga menimbulkan beberapa masalah. Ketidakpuasan orang tua dan siswa terkait penerimaan berdasarkan jarak, ketimpangan fasilitas antar sekolah, dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang kebijakan ini adalah masalah utama. Sementara sekolah di pinggiran memiliki fasilitas yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan sekolah di pusat kota, batasan zonasi membuat beberapa siswa berprestasi tidak dapat diterima di sekolah yang mereka pilih.

Abstract

The goal of this Community Service Program (PKM) is to help students at Pesantren El-Firdaus Rimba Melintang, Rokan Hilir, become more capable leaders.  Future Muslim leaders who preserve Islamic principles, tolerance, and honesty are greatly influenced by their leadership. Before the training was conducted, the students at the El-Firdaus Rimba Melintang Rokan Hilir Islamic have Lack of Leadership Skills.  The training program consists of role-playing exercises, group discussions, practical exercises, and theoretical seminars on Islamic leadership.  A pre-test and post-test approach is used in the study to gauge how well the training worked.  The findings show that students' comprehension of Islamic leadership principles has significantly improved (25%), as have their communication abilities (30%), organisational management (30%), decision-making (28%), and teamwork (22%).  Students' increased self-assurance, initiative, and ability to apply leadership concepts in their everyday lives are further supported by observations and interviews.  In order to guarantee that future generations have the abilities and morals needed to make valuable contributions to society, this program acts as a model for incorporating leadership education into Islamic boarding schools. The implementation of this program faces challenges such as limited access to modern resources and leadership training materials, which can hinder student engagement and learning. The modern resources in question include technology and digital devices such as computers, projectors, and a stable internet connection to support access to training materials in an online and interactive format. In addition, access to the latest training materials, such as leadership training modules based on Islamic values, academic books and articles, and instructional videos from inspirational figures, is often limited due to facility and cost constraints. The absence of these resources can restrict students' opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of leadership concepts and apply them in their daily lives.

Abstract

The topic of job satisfaction among educators is frequently affected by the leadership style employed; however, the correlation between participative leadership and job satisfaction within Madrasah Aliyah has yet to be thoroughly investigated. This study seeks to examine the influence of participative leadership on the job satisfaction of educators within Madrasah Aliyah. A quantitative methodology utilizing a survey instrument was implemented, engaging a total of 326 educators as participants. Data were gathered via questionnaires and subsequently analyzed utilizing regression analysis to ascertain the relationship between participative leadership and job satisfaction. The findings suggest that participative leadership exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on teachers' job satisfaction. Educators who participate in decision-making processes and collaborative efforts experience a heightened sense of value and motivation. Subsequent analysis indicates that participative leadership significantly contributes to the variation in teachers' job satisfaction, highlighting the critical significance of fostering a supportive work environment. The findings of this study suggest that the implementation of participative leadership may significantly enhance the well-being of educators and subsequently improve the overall quality of education. These findings offer significant insights for policymakers and educational administrators to adopt more inclusive leadership strategies.

Abstract

Effective decision-making is a key element in educational management, especially in Salafiyah pesantren, which are characterized by traditional and collective leadership. The headmaster plays a crucial role in establishing policies that influence various operational aspects of the pesantren. This study aims to analyze the decision-making patterns of headmasters, the factors influencing their decisions, and the impact on pesantren management effectiveness. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method using a questionnaire as the primary instrument. The respondents consist of 19 headmasters from Salafiyah pesantren in Pekanbaru, selected using total sampling. The results indicate that decision-making in pesantren follows a hierarchical and collective approach, involving teacher participation, deliberation (musyawarah), and consideration of pesantren traditions. The primary factors influencing decisions include pesantren values and traditions, government policies, and input from caretakers and ustaz. The headmaster's decisions significantly impact the effectiveness of pesantren management, particularly in improving learning quality, financial transparency, and student discipline.

Abstract

This study analyzes the conflict management strategies implemented by madrasah principals in resolving disputes among teachers, students, and parents at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Pekanbaru City. The study is necessary due to the increasing frequency of conflicts in educational institutions, which can disrupt the learning process and school harmony if not properly managed. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 38 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah principals in Pekanbaru. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify the most commonly used conflict resolution strategies.The findings indicate that principals predominantly use collaboration and compromise strategies, while avoidance is rarely applied. The main causes of conflict are ineffective communication and differences in perception. Most respondents reported improved relationships after conflict resolution, with high satisfaction levels regarding the principals' decisions. Conflict management policies are also sustainable, reflecting consistent efforts. Further research is recommended to assess the long-term impact of conflict resolution strategies on school performance and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Low self-esteem can lead to negative compensatory behaviors, while high self-esteem can lead to online aggression. These behaviors are contrary to Islamic values that promote morals. This study examines the relationship between self-esteem and cyberbullying behavior of Islamic students. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-esteem and cyberbullying behavior among Muslim students in Islamic universities on social media platforms. A descriptive-correlational quantitative survey approach was used to collect data from a sample of 295 students. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between self-esteem and digital bullying behavior. The findings showed a strong positive correlation (r=0.724) between self-esteem and bullying behavior on social media, with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, indicating this relationship is statistically significant and very strong. The findings also indicate that decreased levels of self-esteem are associated with increased incidence of cyberbullying behavior. This study provides implications for increased understanding of cyberbullying in Islamic higher education settings. The findings guide the creation of focused initiatives, policies, and additional scientific studies targeting the reduction of cyberbullying. Given its emphasis on different demographics, this study is important because it provides a new angle in a broader research domain.
